I came into Mazda of Columbia fatigued from a long week of car shopping. I spoke with Oran and Sean and said Help! I am tired. Here is my budget. They got me into a 2010 Town and Country that was the perfect fit within the hour. A month later and its been a successful purchase. Service department is terrible. Dropped of my SUV to check on an issue at noon. I didnt hear anything about the issue for 3 hours. I then tried to call every 15-20 minutes for 2 hours and no one picked up the phone. I even left a message explaining the situation. Going to pick up now. Still have no idea what the status is on my SUV. UNACCEPTABLE customer service.This has happened in the past, but I was reserving judgment, in case it was just an off day. Its clear now that this is a ongoing issue.Update: They were closed when I arrived. Apparently they closed at 2:30, which they never told me when said I would come back for my car in a few hours. I even made sure they verified my number before I left. They CLOSED without updating me on my vehicle. Now I have no car for work on Monday.The only reason I come here is because its the only Mazda dealership in the area. I know for sure I will NEVER buy another Mazda in Columbia, because I will NEVER be at the mercy of these people again.

Purchased a very nice used vehicle from them. My salesman was great! I thought the finance went well until I checked my loan documents and realized the guy who did the close of my loan added in roadside assistance and some other dent and ding coverage. The price for these two unwanted coverages was a little over $3,000 added to my loan. Be sure to check every line of your final closing documents to make sure this does not happen to you. They have corrected this, however it should not have ever happened. I specifically told Jeff I did not want any Gap coverage or any warranty coverage, I even remember specifically discussing roadside assistance with him as he told me their coverage was very broad. I proceeded to tell him no I would just get AAA I dont need this and I just want to finance my vehicle only. He added this coverage to my loan anyway and never mentioned it. Thank goodness I noticed the difference in my loan balance with my bank. This was very unprofessional and sneaky to do to someone.

I called them the day before and asked to buy a used car with specific conditions, and the sales man gave me false information and he told me to come see it in person.When I get there I found that the car had twice the mileage that the salesperson told me. Very disappointed with this company as they have no respect for others’ time and even money actually The only good thing I could say about them is that they were very polite although they kept me waiting for a bit to get my questions answered they were polite

I can honestly tell you that I never met a car sales representative that had the knowledge of their product like Leah. She was both very professional, positive and friendly. I filled out the form on the dealership website to get My VIP Price on a vehicle listed at 21500 on sale from 24000. I received an email with a slightly reduced price 21375. I called the dealership because I thought it to be a fair price. They indicated that price was only customers who finance with them and have a trade. So just understand the price isnt the price, read the fine print.

Don’t waste your time trying to get in touch with an advisor for a quote for repairs. If you do get in touch with someone eventually, if your car is over 10 years old, they won’t work on it even if you plan to spend some money. But the parts department is great.

The service department for Mazda of Columbia is really hit or miss. Ive had great experiences but more often than not I have bad ones. Most recently we recharged my freon to see if my AC had a leak and ordered spark plugs to install. The plan was to come back the following week to fix the leak and install the spark plugs. I called my service specialist several times to set up an appointment but he never answered and never returned my calls. Finally, after two weeks of no AC, I set up an appointment online. I dropped my car off before noon today (it is now almost 8 PM) and have not received any updates on my vehicle. Pretty disappointed with the overall experience at this point in time. Ill likely change my review to at least 3 stars if I get some good news tomorrow.

I had a wonderful experience buying a used car here just before Thanksgiving. I received a super fast response from Leah, and was able to come in the next day to look at the car and take a test drive. Everyone was very courteous and, in spite of her having a bit of a crazy day, Leah made sure that I was well taken care of, and made me feel more like an old friend instead of a new customer whom shed just met.Tony was great helping me with the financing and paperwork. I feel like I got a great car at a fair price. If you need a new or used car, you should stop in and see these guys before you go anywhere else.
Bought a used car was told the oil was changed when it came in. The Sevice light was on for the daytime riding light and E brake. Was told to bring it in for service. Asked the guy in service about the oil change he also said its been done. When I picked the car up the service light was still on. They didnt perform any service just held my car for some hrs. Driving home the low oil light came on so I checked and changed the oil which was pitch black and half empty. Now the check engine light is on and theres an oil leak. I know when you buy used its a gamble but I made sure to ask if anything needed immediate attention multiple times.

Had a lot of faith in this place leading up to my recent visit. First, I dropped my vehicle off June 11th due to a head gasket failure. I told the technician this and he stated that on Monday they would due some test and call me to inform me on what was wrong and what was needed.on Wednesday the 15th I had to call them 8 times, until eventually I called a different department within mazda to transfer me over to them. To find out that they had not even started to look at my vehicle. 3 weeks go buy before they say the vehicle is ready. Only to find out that they did not even check the radiator or the water pump to see if they needed repair. Further more mazda told me the whole repair would cost $2500 only for me to be charged over $2900.
Just bought my second car for my soon growing family. The staff was amazing, really put in the extra effort to ensure I could get the car. It took all longer than usual but that was because of complications, they even squared out a previous issue I was unaware from Carmax(which I wouldnt ever recommend, in hindsight, they ruined my credit with filing negligence) they used the corrected paperwork to insure we got financed with a good interest rate.Tony Valle and his Sales Manager are the two I give all credit to.
Bought a used car, asked if anything needed immediate attention and if the oil was changed. Was told yes the oil was changed and nothing major needed attention. 1 week later the check engine and low oil light come on. The oil is pitch black like it hasnt been changed in ages and half empty. Theres also an oil leak. I wouldnt recommend buying anything used from here. Doesnt seem like they care.

I found a car through TrueCar with this dealership. I called and spoke to someone at the dealership after receiving my TrueCar price quote. I asked if the vehicle at the cost that I was quoted was still available. I was told that it was. I made the journey to get tor the dealership. When I arrived, I spoke with a different sales manager other than the one than I spoke to on the phone even though I said that I was there to speak with them. After test driving the car, I said that I was interested in purchasing the vehicle and showed them my TrueCar price quote. The sales manager that I was dealing with left and came back with a price on the car over $2K above my quoted TrueCar price quote. When asked about it, they said that they did not do TrueCar. Well, I had never used TrueCar before and I did not know how it worked. I was upset because the price of the car was not what I had anticipated. They dropped the price about $140 dollars. I was still upset, but I liked the car and did not want to lose it, so I continued forward with the purchase. When I was talking with the finance person, he said that it was odd that they did not honor TrueCar since the dealership has to pay to put things into TrueCar. I was shocked. He said that he was going to talk to the owner on Monday since I was making the purchase on Saturday and see what could be done. When Wednesday came around and I had not heard from him, I attempted to call. I finally found out that he was off getting married. I called TrueCar at this point to report the dealership for their shady business practices. They told me that the dealership should have honored the price quote. Their was nothing they could do about it now because I had already made the purchase. They said that they would call the dealership and get back to me. I said that was fine. I did not expect them to be able to do anything, I just wanted to protect them from getting a bad reputation for supporting a business that lies to its customers. After I hung up with TrueCar, I called back to the dealership and asked to speak with the owner. As far as I know they did. They did not try to give me any run around or delay me in speaking with him. It rang and went to voicemail for a Craig, presumably the owner. I left a message and said that I wanted to speak with him about a purchase that I had made at his dealership. I left my contact information and expected a call back. Well it has been over a week now from that date and I have still not heard from the finance gentleman, TrueCar, or the owner. I called TrueCar to try and protect them, turns out, they are just as shady or so not care about the quality of the service that they provide.Lessons learned: 1) If you use TrueCar ensure that the dealership will honor it before you go. 2) if you use this dealership, be careful of their business practices.

This is the worst dealership I ever visited. I am at the dealership right now, and I have been waiting for 51mins already. I checked in and they let me sit and wait, and I observed 6-8 employee chatted around the front desk, nobody bothers coming to the waiting area at all. If you wanted to waste your time here, this is an excellent choice.Update: already been an hour, I saw the dad and son came ahead of us already left with nothing completed today. I guess I am not along.
Visited service department recently and am giving them a 3 rating as they did good come up they were very friendly, but there were a lot of small issues. For example no one answered the phone line to set up a service appointment, when I asked a service advisor to set up appointment she transferred me to another phone which had a voicemail and that person never called back. Eventually I made my appointment online. When I took my car in, the service advisor, Devin, Was very helpful and nice. Later he sent me a text acknowledging the appointment and giving me a direct line number to call if I had any questions and AA link to a website if I wanted to check on the status of the car. What I did not know at that time was he was leaving shortly thereafter to go to a wedding and would be off work for 2 days. I could not get through to the Internet link karma and left him to messages on Friday and one on Saturday and no 1 told me he was not working. Finally a nother service advisor called me to say the car should be ready Saturday morning. When I went to Pick up my car I learned Devon was not there and the other service advisor would take care of me. They explained the problems with the Internet and that I Devan should have told me he was leaving and given me someone elses phone number. Unfortunatelyly, the work they did, removing mice from my air conditioning vents, Did not work. Got home and found one in my glove Box. Have called to make a new appointment.

Service tech I saw was nice but would have been nice to know they wouldnt work on my car that was over 10 years old (oil leak) when I made the appointment instead of having to drive out there then to be told no.
Pretty awful experience. Came to the Service Dept. because my 17 CX-5 has only been getting 24mpg highway.Service manager told me it was b/c the EGR was clogged, I later found out these modern Skyactive engines even have an EGR valve to clean!Service manager also called to tell me I needed to replace my sparkplugs and do a tune up. I informed him that the plugs were replaced 3 days prior and the air-filter was done the same day, both had 20 miles on them, to check again. and even sent him proof of that. He quickly backpedaled and tried to come up with other issues, (Timing, tuning, etc)Bottom line is, this Service Dept. are either blatantly trying to scam people by pushing service they dont actually need, or most likely dont know enough about the cars they work on to properly diagnose important issues. BTW I was still charged over $140 after both these lies.The Service Dept. knows who I am, and they know they did wrong so feel free to contact me and ask any questions @mazdaofcolumbia and @mazdausa.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I purchased a great used vehicle (Mazda CX-5) for a fair price. Everyone involved in the purchase of the vehicle from the showroom sales person to the final business manager were courteous and worked with us to make the process smooth. I would recommend this dealership, and I feel the standard safety features are excellent on the Mazda vehicles.
