Okay, first let me start by saying my husband and I are incredibly grateful for Clayton and their team here in Corpus. We decided January 1st 2021 that we were tired of renting, with our rent constantly going up. We had some land available and we decided to look into getting a manufactured home. We of course shopped around and did our due diligence and a gut feeling led us back to Clayton. We had met with Brittany around the 2nd of January, Clayton was actually the first place we looked, we told her our price range and what we were wanting and she showed us. Also, she didn’t try to push us into anything that we couldn’t afford which is a rare find in the sales industry and we are grateful for that. The next week we shopped around all over Corpus, San Antonio, Victoria, Dallas, basically all Texas and everything told us to go back to Clayton. Monday, January 11th we went back to tour the home we were interested in and decided to go ahead and move forward. We discussed the issues with our credit with them (are credit is considered “okay”) and they recommended the best banks to apply for. Vanderbilt is who we ended up going with. Within two days we had our pre approval from Vanderbilt and there needed to be some adjustments with our monthly payment, The Clayton team was quick to jump on it and got things done and made it so that the bank would approve. We closed on January 26th. The home was delivered two days later because we bought one from the lot instead of ordering from the factory. We expressed to them that we really wanted to be in by the first if possible we understood that the utilities were all on our end but we were ready to go. I have to say they really did their part everything was ready to go by Saturday for us except for the inside trim out and they were out first thing Monday morning to get that done for us. We hooked up our electrical and plumbing and then Tuesday they were out delivering our AC and hooking it up. From the team they used to deliver the homes to the team that blocks and levels it and the people that come clean are all amazing. I will forever recommend this company to anybody that’s looking to purchase a Manufactured Home.I really feel like they went out of their way to get us into our home in the time frame we wanted, they went above and beyond. The manager Mario is super professional and honest and easy to work with our sales rep Brittany was also amazing, she was on top of everything communicating with the bank back-and-forth, dealing with our 1 million questions that we always seemed to have. They turned something that was initially super stressful and overwhelming into a smooth process. And for that we will be forever grateful. So please please please if you are in the market for a manufactured home do yourself a favor and come check them out!

They got us financed. That is a good think. The demo modular home itself is not indicative of the one we bought. Had cheaper faucets, carpet, etc. I must say though that it was put together very well. The roof is solid. The home is nice and tight. The AC is fine, so is the heating. Will have to remove the carpet in a couple of years and put down vinyl tile, or linoleum, along with faucets. I do love my home though. Also, the people at Clayton Homes provided very good service.

They will not tell you that you will need to put 1,000 down to get the application started. The land is overpriced that they have. They’re not very informative. Once you need your money back, they’ll give you the run around,& not call you! I had bills due in that 7-10 “business days”,nobody informed us that we had to pick up the refund check. Once we got there apparently there was an “error “ & we only got back 500$ of the 1000$ they owe us,& said we had to wait till Friday !!! So unprofessional!! I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star !

Mgr Mario is very helpful and is very patience with the customer, easy to talk to

I was ready to buy land and home. I had an appointment with Gloria who said she had lots of land possibilities and many homes in my price range ($60k). When we got there Gloria was rude from the start. She was unprepared for our appointment and only showed 2 land options that were both overpriced and undesirable.I politely told her I was dissapointed but asked her to browse more land possibilities. She was flustered but I persevered. I asked her about land home financing options.Suddenly she told me to get out that she had never been so rudely treated. !! I said I had not intended to be rude and asked specifically what had I done to upset her so. All she wanted was for me to leave.I guess I just asked too many questions. I went to another Corpus Christi home dealer and was treated like a friend. Too bad for you, Clayton. Gloria totally cost you a sale.
