I went through a lot to find a bike during the pandemic. As most people know, bikes (along with most things) are very hard to currently find. I originally reached out to pretty much every bike shop in Eugene (where I live) without responses and very little help when visiting in person. I thought I would expand my search, and found a familiar name in Bike N Hike in Corvallis. Back in about 1989, my first mountain bike was purchased there. It was also a Giant, so I decided to send an email to them. I received a timely response with a ton of information from Tim. The only problem...availability. I expected this, and Tim said if I could find one to get it at any shop, not thinking of their own shop and profit. I randomly looked at the Giant website and saw they had the bike he had recommended available. I immediately wrote to Tim, and had a response the next morning. He said buy it, which I did and had it shipped to their shop. They assembled the bike at no charge to me, called and emailed when it was in, and I couldnt be more happy. Tim even saw me rolling out my new bike and made it a point to say hi as we hadnt met in person. We chatted for a few minutes and I was out the door with my new ride. I cannot say enough good about Bike N Hike, they have gone above an beyond.

So i came in and spent over 350 dollars here at bike n hike in Corvallis and ended uo returning a bike rack for 170 bucks. Tim the store manager did my return as i explained to him im homeless and living out of my car and that the reason i had returned the rack was because my bike had been stolen off of it and i. No longer had any use for it because i had no bike. So Tim decided he would give me a 100 dollars back out of the 170 which i at the time seemed ok with because i again am homeless and funds are very tight as it is and living out of my car i need gas etc. So i the next day called back and asked Tim as a man why he would want to only give me my 100 back and not the full 170 and he says because it used once its left the store and told me that if i wanted to buy it for 100 bucks back that i could and that i wouldnt be getting my full refund of the 170 i feel i deserve back. Now mind u i spent over 350 bucks that day at bike N hike with Tim and feel his customer service skills as an overseer of another mans business was quite faulty and down right unprofessional. I have not a penny to my name and tim whos pocket isnt even the one being hurt here takes advantage of me the homeless 30 year old with PTSD and several other disabilities along with being homeless ask for his remainder of his money back because i feel it deemed necessary it should, tim tells me its not gonna happen and that is why im leaving this one star review cuz it would of been 5 had it been professional and i would leave half a star but i google wouldnt let me do that either. So thanks Tim @ bike N hike for the very poor taste in handling me a paying customer the way u did and i hope u feel good about the 70 dollars i wont have back to feed and supply my daily necessities to survive out here in the heat in my car. The crew at Bike N Hike were the most patient and helpful guys I’ve ever experienced at any business. They talked me through on the phone and were very helpful with helping me diagnose my Schwinn Airdyne issue and then even let me borrow one of their specific tools so I could get my bike fixed! These guys are the best!

Great experience! I got my bike all tuned up within three days of dropping it off and the rate was affordable and almost half the cost of a shop nearby.

Came to Newport and decided on buying a Gravel bike. The whole team were very helpful from the purchase and me returning several times for help on the bike to fine tune it during my stay. Worth the 2 hour round trip!

The youngman whom, helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful. when asking for bike geometry he broke down the numbers by taking time to actually look them up for me. Actually better service than all these hyped up Portland area shops. You fancy shops are great, but you need to step your game up when it comes to the customer! especially one whom has ridden all his life and knows what he needs in a set up. Oh and you big fancy shops! grow some knowledge and let people in whom are willing too mask up so we can actually look at the bikes, youre not violating any real law! WAKE UP! Given an estimate of waiting a bit and 15$ labor cost over phone for adjusting the bearings of the rear tire.Got there, service was immediate with no delay, and he did the work so fast and professionally he checked both tires and adjusted my handlebars which were a slight bit off.The best part?Final price was 12$For my first time in a bike shop? Ill probably never go anywhere else!

We had a bike rack snap on our way down I5 my sons bike tire was shredded in the process. The shop was helpful over the phone and held over to wait for us to make it there at closing time! We are so appreciative of them going above and beyond to save our next day of vacation.

I brought my daughters comfort bike in as it was having trouble shifting gears. The staff at Bike&Hike not only fixed the bike, but did it the same day I dropped it off. They went over options with me and charge me a very fair price. The bike is actually better than new. Thank you Bike and Hike!

These guys are awesome. Great work great prices. They just fixed my daughters bike without appointment in less than 10 minutes charging me only $12.00 dollars and that included the parts it required. Those guys are awesome! I brought in my bike for a tune up, and they went above and beyond the call of duty. Run is now running like new, and they even replaced my bad rear tire with a tire from their donation box AT NO CHARGE! I highly recommend using this shop.

Unassuming, helpful, knowledgeable, timely and fairly priced. These are the words that come to mind when I think about my experience with this shop (and I have been in a lot of bike shops). All the employees are great, but I always works with Raj. He fixes only what needs fixing and always calls if there are questions or decisions to be made. I trust him COMPLETELY with my full quiver of bikes.

Decent selection, they quickly pointed us at 4 bikes that they thought wed like.But we didnt get any explanation for why these bikes were best for us our any help picking. Wish there was a little more interaction and information exchange.

Tim, Eric, and eveyone at the shop are great. I bought a new bike from them 6 months ago, and they have been extremely helpful in keeping everything about it running smoothly (never at any cost to me). When my fork had a manufacturing defect that showed up a few weeks after my purchase, they loaned me a personal bike of theirs while it was being fixed by the manufacturer so that I wouldnt miss out on any riding. I highly suggest working with them when considering a new bike: low pressure, knowledgeable staff, and superb on-going service.

Been coming here since my college days. Stopped by again tonight right before closing with a flat tire that needed repair (bad timing!) They happily accommodated and we’re off to start our coastal bike weekend!

I have shopped at all the bikes shops in Corvallis, and Bike N Hike is the one that I like the best. I never feel like they are trying to up sell or overcharge me. Their selection of bikes has increased over the years, and if they dont have it, they will order it for you. I find the staff to be friendly, and knowledgeable. Over the years I have bought 5 bike from them, and cant find a reason to shop anywhere else in Corvallis.

I brought in my old Bianchi bicycle (mid 70s) for possible gearing modifications. The mechanic on hand proceeded to tell me everything about my bicycle. How could I not let him fix my dilemma? Not only did he know how to fix my bike but he could order OEM parts if I could wait a bit. I couldnt and he got the parts needed to modify my bike. Every time I go in they are so helpful.
