Not only is this a place where you can get your bike repaired for free, where the workstations, tools, and knowledge is provided for you, but you also walk away knowing so much more about your bicycle and how it functions.I went in to have my derailleurs tuned, the gentleman loaned me the tools and explained to me the function of each part and its components in detail. Now I can adjust the derailers myself, at my house, with a flat head screwdriver...Which will probably save me hundreds of dollars over the course of my life...Thank you cycle collective the world needs more shops like yours!!!

Good variety of used bikes and other related stuff. I went there looking for a used bike and the guy who sits at the counter (dont remember his name) was super nice and helpful as I had multiple silly questions.I do feel that many items are a bit too expensive for used bikes though, considering that they were donated by people. I am a student (and basically broke) and needed a cheap option which I could use to go to the campus etc. Unfortunately, I was unable to find something. Wish they had a bit more affordable options for students.

Ever since they opened several years back, the bicycle collective has been an amazing bicycle resource for Corvallis, without a doubt! At their 11th St. location, they have a great selection of bikes for a reasonable price, usually with some unusual treasures in the mix. They are highly recommended whether you live here, or are passing through Corvallis. You will not be disappointed. The head of the shop is also very helpful and knowledgeable.

Over the years your polices over customer treatment has degraded...Where once you could ask for assistance with a chain or derailleur, now you better know it all yourself or dont come in.I dont appreciate the boyfriends breakfast club the old men have turned it into where it has become socially acceptable for them to passive aggressively talk about the legtimacy of mask choices rather than offer up one from any of the three boxes of masks stashed under the desk. You have made this once long-time, loyal customer not welcome nor feel comfortable in returning.Edit: all 6 people in that room had been vaccinated so there was no reason to keep forcing people to comply with redundant soviet agendas.

5/20. Please read all of this, and REMEMBER, business people are human too, and deserve the benefit of doubt.5/19: I went in to use a couple of tools so I could convert my trike to electric, and the guy wouldnt even let me... Something about not supporting what I wanted to do. Im 71 years old, and want to use my trike more, and my car less... But cant get around well just peddling. If they cant support that, then they dont deserve to be supported. No stars5/20Apology accepted. Everyone can have a bad day on occasion, I probably just caught you on yours. Thanks for your help.

Typically ron is cheerful and inquisitive, helpful. Yesterday was not one.Im getting really irked with classism that the bicycle collective has devolved into.I arrove at 12:03 doors locked. There were several gentlemen huddled around cloisters of tools. I had to knock repeatedly before I was allowed entrance. No greetings, no how ya doing, can I help you find anything. Just irregular sneers and side ways jaunts about mask preferences.I picked out the bicycle I wanted and asked if there was a rack available so I can fix the issues with the bike im about to purchase.Ron grabs the bike, tosses it on a rack makes the repairs without conferring with me about the optional parts Ive selected to be mounted then says no racks are available for me to use to put my parts on.When I tell him that the language him and his breakfast buddies are giggling over are offensive and unwelcome and im disinclined to return with this level of class division happening in our back yard, he laughs in my face as if his customer concerns are of no relevance to the Bicycle Collective.Edit: the tires sold were worn and bulging, the seat post lose and unsafe, a rattle in the case - either a worn bearing or extra grit.... either way i ront appreciate being paying good money for shoddy part.

The Collective is a great spot for finding random parts for old bicycles and for picking up used bikes for the kids or yourself. You can use the bike stands and tools to fix your own bikes (which is awesome) and youcan buy cable housing, brake pads, and all the stuff for maintaining your bikes. The staff know what you need, can help you find it and can show you how to fix your own bike. This is a great community resource!

Truly of the People. CBC is a well-run haven for all things cycle. No matter how many wheels, if your transportation is motivated by legs or arms, its welcome here. Great folks, good tools, and the best interactions. CBC is the true street rebellion for a new (and better) age.

I had a bent wheel and a flat tire. I came in because I had heard it was the cheapest option in Corvallis. And not only is that true, but probably the most helpful. When I came in one of their staff (I think his name was Daniel) walked over to help and asked what I was in for. I told him my issues and he not only fixed my bent wheel but every step of the way showed me what to do, why, how, and what to watch out for. I bought a new tube and tire for my bike and it only ran me $9. Definitely worth checking out for bike maintenance.

Very low prices on new, lightly used, or very used parts and tools. They are my go to for a tool or something that I will use once a year. Also, Being a bike shop in Corvallis.....They can be eccentric.....Its not always my cup of tea, but its on par with down town Corvallis. Bottom line, Ive always left with something I needed for a very very low cost.

Got a Ready to Ride bike here and so far it has tried to kill me a dozen times. The front fork wasnt properly tightened, the brake line snapped, the chain snapped, the derailer broke, the rear tire(tubeless) broke and I had to get a tube put in, a pedal broke off, the bikes gears dont properly shift so if you stand up on it and put force into pedaling youre likely to jump down a gear and throw off your balance, just overall a piece of absolute garbage. This has happened in about 7 weeks of me riding it(I bought it in the fall and stored it inside because I broke my ankle, this all happened right when I started riding it again).

Worst experience ever!!! Walked in to buy a bike, seemed like there were two people working there (but who knows, they seem to try extra hard to avoid being recognized as an employee). After 10 min. of just standing there, some half-baked kid finally made eye-contact and I had to flag him down. When I told him I was interested in buying a bike and didnt know much about them, he just pointed to the back where they were and walked off to go play on his iphone outside. This scenario repeated itself several times as I was trying to get some help, with little interest from workers. Other dude was on the computer the whole time checking his gmail. Finally, I just had to give up and left with nothing but greasy hands and real bitter taste.
