Chris and another technician on staff went far beyond expectations. I needed emergency service while visiting a relative in Council Bluffs. I contacted Firestone and between Dave and Chris they got me in! Unfortunately they could not do it right then but I could get it there and they would take care of the next day - while I was at a wedding. I planned to pick it up when we returned (or Sunday). Though they had trouble, they were determined to get it done. Chris personally made a trip to the parts store because they were not getting the right part. They worked a lot of extra time for me. They didnt just work on my car - they took care of me as a person. That greatly reduced the stress of the situation. They were highly professional!

A great place to.get your tires done which there is some competition in the metro but this place is friendly and dont try and.push anything on you which when it comes to auto/tire replacement or repair it can be intimidating this place gets not to be

If I could leave 100 stars I totally would!!!! My daughters wheel completely fell off and after being towed to the ONLY place open. Even though the mechanics were COMPLETELY SLAMMED!!!! They absolutely gave us the best service!!!!! They worked with us and helped us so much!!!!!! We were there for several hours and my grandson was running amuck and they never got upset!!! Dave was AMAZING and not bad to look at. So if you need serviced go to Firestone and ask for Dave.

Lazy. Jumping one task to another. Not finishing simple tasks before completely abandoning the project for 10 minutes at a time.Hour and a half for an oil change i had scheduled.Also messed up on previous work. Alignment on other vehicle. Didnt bleed brakes fully when servicing. Didnt install wipers with an almost 500 dollar purchase.

Took my vehicle in for an oil change, they did not inspect the oil filter or pan for leaks before sending my wife and kids down the road. Needless to say filter leaked oil everywhere and they will do nothing to make it right. My car was bone dry, corporate sent a “third party” to look over the car and brush all wrong doing under the rug! 3 months later they tell me decision is final unless I spend more money to have another inspection to prove otherwise.Way to own up to your mistake! Way to treat paying customers. Never again will I ever step foot in another Firestone! Save your money and headaches and go elsewhere!

I didnt used to like Firestone in Council Bluffs, but the staff there now is amazing. Hal makes sure to let you know whats going on, explaining things in ways to help you understand. Last time I took it for an oil change, the mechanic instead of just checking the boxes, had little notations on some of the recommendations.

Earlier this month, my husband, two children and I had loaded up the SUV and were headed to a big camping extravaganza in the Black Hills, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. By three hours into our trip, we had already jump started our car twice. As we headed towards Council Bluffs, we called several auto shops to no avail. I finally called Firestone, and explained our situation and asked for an appointment that afternoon. The manager was super kind and told us just to head their way and he would just help whenever we arrived! He said, “I don’t want to hold you to a certain time. Just get here safely when you can.” When we pulled up, every single one of the bays was full, so I could tell they were really busy. I was worried that we may be there forever waiting, but he worked us in and determined we needed a new battery. We went to grab lunch across the street, and by the time we came back, our car was all ready to go! We didn’t have a single problem the rest of the trip! We’re forever grateful that they took the time out of their day to help out a family from KC. Thank you, Firestone! 🔥

I bought 4 tires from them. They said they would check the brakes and other stuff. After leaving my traction and ABS lights came on. Come to find out I needed new brake pads on the car. They did try and sell me a thousand dollar timing belt but didnt say anything about the brakes. I cant help but wonder if they checked anything on the car.

I was able to walk-in and be helped as soon as I hit the front desk. They were able to do a vehicle inspection, order/receive parts, and do the work all within the same day. I was very grateful. April was amazing!!! Very friendly and awesome to work with! She saved my day! :)

Went to have a low tire looked at. They told me I needed 2 new tires. When I requested to go and look at the other tire that supposibly needed replaced it was magically already mounted. The tire they sold me was rotted on the inside and I ended up having to get the same tire replaced AGAIN less than a month later at a different auto shop. Im very disappointed that as a woman they thought that they could take advantage of me and try to tell me that I needed two new tires when I only wanted my tire patched. I will stick with my trusted car shop in my hometown. Im disappointed that I had this experience.

I dont like used parts on my car.

Call to schedule an appointment for first thing in the morning, was told that they opened at 7 I could either bring it then or drop it off the night before and then have it done between 10 to 11. Arrive at 10 only to find out that the car was never even started and that they wouldnt even be able to get to it until this evening. Why schedule something if youre not even able to get to it on time.

So my dad and I walked in, asked if they could repair a flat tire, my dad asked if theres any used and the man said we dont carry use tires, go somewhere else then picked up the phone and started talking to another customer making appointments. Well we were there first and he was right in the middle of talking to us, he could have just said please wait a moment on the phone. Well sir if my dad and I spent the time to try to talk to you, and you fully ignored us, I can tell what type of service well get on our car. Rest assure well never go back Firestone.

I recently brought my car into the Council Bluffs store to have someone check out an odd sound coming from the rear drivers side. They did an inspection for a very reasonable price and found several things that needed replaced/repaired on my vehicle, which after 130,000 miles together, I had anticipated. They got my car in right away to replace brakes and a wheel bearing, both of which had not been done before. Unfortunately the initial sound persisted so I returned to the store to have it checked out again. They were apologetic and determined to help find the issue. They were able to isolate the problem and made the follow up appointment with my car a priority.I have been very pleased with the work done in this store and can recall two prior instances where I stopped in to have various problems (nail in a tire and a loose bolt rattling under the hood) looked at, where the technicians took the time to look and resolve the issue without an appointment or being charged. After moving away from my hometown and reliable repair shop, it is comforting to know I have found another place to trust with my vehicle.

Have brought my car here multiple times for services from oil changes, control arms, and bearings to new tires. Each time they have been very polite and they always make sure to let you know what they are fixing and how much it will cost. If you have any work done with them they make sure to stand behind it and if you are ever not satisfied with the end result they will make sure to make it right. Would recommend them to anyone.

I have been there twice recently. I felt they did a terrific job in analyzing a check engine light and did alot of analysis in finding the root issue. They saved me a few hundred dollars and I would have had the same issue if they had just replaced a sensor from the diagnostic. The service level was terrific both times.

I stopped in four an oil change today at 11am. I was planning on leaving it until 2 because it is near my work and I go to lunch at 2. I waited for a few minutes in the lobby for the girl to get off the phone. When she hung up I stepped forward and told her I was there for an oil change. She immediately blurted out that they wouldnt get to it until 6pm. I picked up my keys and started to turn to leave and said to myself that I wasnt going to wait 7 hours for an oil change. She stopped me and yelled at me for having an attitude. She said that I came in without an appointment and something about my not having any right to expect any better treatment. I said maybe you need more employees then.I drove to a dealership, went right in and had my oil changed in less than an hour. It was even less expensive. I will never go back to any firestone again. I had bought 6 tires from them in the past two years too but never again.

Just this week took our 2000 Dodge truck in for Transmission leak. Paid $290.00 relplaced filters gaskets etc. Come home find the transmission pan is rusted needs replaced. Called today. Yes they will repair it extra $100.00 and my husband has to go find a transmission pan for them to put on. You would think before putting the pan back on they would have noticed the rusted pan and relplaced then.

Courteous, friendly staff. Explain everything. I feel comfortable that the are being fair and honest.

Had to wait 2 days to get a technician there that was qualified to do the work. Was then told that what I thought was going to cost about $400 was not going to be $1600. It seems like every time I take my vehicle into Firestone all they do its tell me more and more things that are wrong with my car but no place else does.

So so.Gave me some excuse why they couldnt honor my lifetime alignment

I usually dont do reviews but after my visit to this place yesterday I thought I should give props to Eric. He did an outstanding job handling what I saw as an extremely under staffed nightmare but he handled all of us very well and i noticed it didnt matter if it was the guy who spent over a grand or me who spent nothing. We all got treated the same and very professionally. I offered him a job but he turned me down since I turned down the recommendations he had for my vehicle lol. I will be back for those repairs Eric and thank you for the entertainment!

This is the laziest car repair place I have ever went to. What Ive learned is that all they want to do is sell you tires, do brakes and oil changes. Dont even think about asking them to do any kind of real work. My girlfriend asked them to quote her to get her master cylinder fixed and the guy at counter didnt even want acknowledge her, didnt even look anything up and then guestimated $570 to get it fixed and then he said that was on the high side.The inspection sheet they give you tells you the very basics about your car. I asked them to do an alignment and they didnt even do the alignment because their sheet still said my camber and caster was off. They told me I needed new shocks and struts, yet they still charged me full price for the alignment. I got an oil change from them and less than 100 miles later my engine oil light came on and my engine kept shutting off on me. I also got brakes done.I took the car to a dealership and paid $130 for a diagnostics and they said my engine oil was only 1/2 filled with no leak. The dealership told me that my brake fluid discolored and Firestone never even said that. You would think if you are replacing brakes you would recommend new brake fluid. They didnt. I got quoted for over $1500 worth of work which was ok because I bought a used vehicle but Firestone didnt say a thing about any of the issues I had. I think the reason they didnt is because they either dont know how to do anything except easy work and avoid the hard work. The dealership told me my oil was low even though Firestone just filled my oil.The problem with this Firestone is that they are so lazy and that they give you a false belief that your car is good to go when I dont think they look at anything.Worst place ever. Do not go here at all. People talk about dealerships being overpriced and always upselling but going to a dealership versus this Firestone is like saying a fancy restaurant is more expensive than dominos. You get what you pay for. Dealerships fix problems while this place avoids work.Lazy, lazy, lazy. I wasted so much money going here and they dont even do the work they say they do. Anybody who uses their employees or managers names must be friends of those people because when you actually go into their shop, you walk out not knowing anyones name. I have no problem paying for work no matter how much the price but when you do less than the bare minimum on a vehicle that I rely on to protect me and keep me safe; you do not deserve my business.Do not go here. If you go here after reading this then you cant complain.No I will not contact you Firestone, no I dont want to talk to a manager. Keep doing half way oil changes, selling tires and doing lazy brake jobs. Thats all you are good for.Notice the 5 star reviews that say Chris the manager.......Im sure those arent his friends.

Traveling across the country on a Saturday, our brakes went out they got us in after 5pm stayed late and fixed the brakes. It was Fathers Day weekend. They went out of there way to take care of us at a very fair price.

They do ok work but always try to over sell Everytime Im there.

My daughter brought her old car in for a diagnostic because it was not running properly. The person who ahe talked to (and then later when I called back) was rude and snotty. She said the diagnistic showed 20 items. She said it would cost a thousand dollars to make the car run but could not tell me what specifically was wrong. Makes me wonder how she arrived at that dollar anount. When I kept asking questions, she then said im washing my hands of the car, have a nice day.

I went here to get a new tire and I usually come here for all my tire needs. I eneded up picking a new tire and when they installed it onto my car there was a buldge on it. Im not a mechanic or anything all i know are the basics so I ignore it and go home. The next day my rear tire goes flat which is kind of strange since i just left the tire place. Firestone fixed it and tells me there was nothing in it and it was just a nail so i ask about the bulge out of curriosity and they said i must have hit a pot hole but I know i havent and i tell them i got it from them that way but they say No we have people check for that. Do you have road hazord? which i reply with yes and now he wants to use the road hazord to fix there error. Ive never stressed so much about my tires ever and its weird since these tires coast a lot of money. I doubt a 2 year old car with 26k miles on it needs a new tire every day when none of them are even bald yet.

Great experience. 12/1/13. broke down while driving from Minneapolis to Denver. they had us all fixed up in an hour and a half and didnt even charge us. They even let my dog hang out in the lobby while we waited.

Went in for a simple oil change and they came out and said I needed 3 new tires and an antifreeze change. I went ahead with an antifreeze change, then was looking back at my records and I had just gotten one three months ago, so they lied about me needing one. They also charged me $40 more than I paid for it the first time. THEN the worst part is when I got in my car my air flow knob was stuck on defrost. I went back in the store and the man at the front desk said he would come look at it but they didnt touch anything inside my car. So he saw that it was stuck and said something must have broke off but it wasnt their fault. I said well I drove over here with the AC on so how did it get on defrost? He said well it has to be on defrost for the antifreeze change. I said you just told me you guys didnt touch anything in my car? He said it wasnt their fault and theres nothing they could do to fix it. My parents called the manager Angelo and he was extremely rude and acted like it wasnt a big deal. They wanted me to bring my car back in but I would never let them touch it again! I filed a complaint with corporate and after that process they concluded that the technician did in fact cause vehicular damage and lied about it. Do not go here!!

Pretty poor service - both on the vehicle end and the in-person end. Took an hour and a half to change ONE (1) tire(a fifteen-minute service) and then both the rep at the counter and their online and call-in customer service departments just blew me off like thats no big deal. Dont waste your time. Go somewhere else.

Place is a rip off overpriced and dishonest!!!!!! Was told my passenger side rear caliper was shot that I need to replace both of those both roters and new pads took it to 2 other shops and was told my calipers were fine and just needed roters and pads!!!! $1200 quote at firestone was actually a $285 job!!!!

Brought in wheel/tire to be patched since plug didnt fix it completely. $22.00 later tire was put on w/white letters on outside when they were supposed to be on the inside. Didnt Mark valve stem so they charge to rebalance tire.

Rude help. I went in to ask about installing new rotors under my week-old brake pads, and was told that they were obligated to do pads and rotors and the same time per corporate law. Upon being asked if policy wasnt a better word, the fellow said ok curtly and walked out of the room. Go here if you want your car serviced by uneducated punks, apparently.
