Another five star review for Steve at Adam the Answerman.My problem was ice build-up in the freezer section of my 17 year old Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator (Mod#ED2CHQXKB05). It appeared to be dripping down the back from my icemaker and then accumulating and freezing at the bottom. It would be 1-2 thick and I would have to use a heat gun and (lightly tapping) hammer to remove the ice every few weeks.Steve initially thought it might be the water valve from the icemaker but after additional thought, he correctly guessed that the drain at the bottom was clogged. He was right, once I was able to clear the drain, the ice build-up has ceased!Yes, you can buy appliance parts here, but there is reason the name of the store has Answerman in it!

20 years ago by air conditioner went out, AC repair was not going to be able to come out for a couple of days. Called Adam the answer man and they told me what the problem was with my AC and sold me the parts to fix my AC myself. Ive gone back to them for every single appliance you can think of both mine and my neighbors. I found Adam the Answerman online originally. Imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered he was also a local parts supplier. Ive been back more than once since that initial discovery for appliance parts. My experience has been that parts are in stock and the guy behind the counter knows what hes talking about, and is willing to share the benefit of his knowledge. These are all good features in my book.

Love this place. I just replaced a broken cooking element receptacle from these guys today. Call them up, hold until they get to you and they are super helpful. Theyre kind of like Car Talk for finding replacement parts. Have an old stove or washing machine and cant find a replacement part that looks right online? Theyll be able to tell you what will work. And. And! AND! They sell Motor Capacitors for large motors... Like the AC compressor unit you have outside? I really wish I would have called these guys last summer when mine stopped working. I found the part online, but couldnt find a place in town that sells to be public. I ended up paying the AC dude $350+ to replace part that costs $35 if you can find a place to buy it.

I have used their service for more than 25 years, and never failed to diagnose equipment in any of my homes. The best service is recommending what brands to buy or to stay away from. I have occasionally had to return an item, and never had a problem.The family owned business is a pillar in the community and works many hard, long hours.Everyone I have recommended to them has reported excellent helpful service and not one complaint.I suppose others were predisposed to having issues, but they were generous with directions and easy to understand.

This place is the best for appliance parts! They are honest, helpful, and dont treat you like an idiot just because youre attempting to DIY. With their help you can save tons of money fixing instead of buying new. Equally important will advise about whether to fix or replace.

I have used Adam the Answerman many times over the years, they are more than willing to help with any issue. It is good to know what to ask for because sometimes it is hard for them to know what little gray wire you are talking about. However, with that said, they have, always been painfully kind about what I dont know what I am talking about and still manage to help me. :) I always bring the part with me, when I can, to make sure I have the right thing, making a diagram, so that I know how to put the part back. Thank you for empowering this woman with the confidence to handle any home challenge.

Just called based upon referral from someone who used them in the past. Woman that answered the phone was rude and really sounded like she needed a day off. Did not even finish the call with her because she did not seem to want to be on the call. Dont care how great others say you are, when you cannot be professional and courteous and interested in your job, you wont have that reputation for long. For example, you had less than a five minute call today with someone you dont know and left a terrible impression...thats a lost referral. When the person who referred you asks me what I thought, I will tell them. How will they perceive you the next time someone asks them about parts? Years of reputation screwed up by a person who forgot how you got the reputation. Small part, no big deal, I will find it in town somewhere, but small parts add up...glad you have so much business you can throw customers away. Sure, I am just one guy that had a bad experience with your company...no big deal. Or am I the one guy who said something about it? No business is big enough to risk that gamble.

July 1, 2021 I have been having intermittent problems with my refrigerator. Steve told me what to look for. He then talked me through how to repair it. He sold me the parts for $50. A comparable new refrigerator is about $2,500. Its great to have friends like Steve!I am very glad my friend James McKee told me about Adam The Answer Man. From my experience Id give more stars if I could.Steve knew exactly what was wrong with my dryer when I told him what happened. He pulled out the correct part and without looking at reference material told me how to uncover the broken part.This time he fixed diagnosed and my broken switches on my microwave. It was unclear if the problem was the main circuit board or simple door switches. I am glad he didnt call me in the wee hours of the morning to confirm I wanted to repair it, he just fixed it.

Adam the Answerman has helped us with appliance repairs several times and we recommend the store to all our friends. Several times theyve diagnosed the problem over the phone by having us check a few things. They recommended the right part for our washing machine and a 20 minute repair (even for non-handy people like us) saved us a repair fee. Another time, we described the problem on our 13 year old refrigerator, and they said that most likely it would be an expensive repair, and we might be better off just buying a new frig. I appreciated their honesty in not just trying to sell parts, but in recommending the best thing for customer!

This is the best of the best repair or DIY shop. I am just amazed that the staff is so much knowledgeable about their business, and then have the time to show you or walk you through on how to fix your problem, and tell you what you are needing to buy and even tell you not to buy anything and then show you how to fix it with what you have. And if you are needing to talk to someone on the phone they even have the time to do that too. They have saved me 1000s over the years.

I couldnt be any happier with Adam and his helpful staff. There were some delays but my microwave is pretty rare. He was able to fix it sticking a strong wire in it without new parts and charge me nothing but the drop off fee because of the delay. What a great guy, the microwave has been working great since the day I picked it up.

Our old upright freezer died, and I thought it was a goner since it was so old. My husband took a look at it, read up on the parts, and called Adam the Answerman to describe to him exactly what had happened and how it sounded. He told my husband that it sounded like a bad starter relay. He took the part to Adam, who ordered a new starter relay--for a very old Kenmore freezer (33 years). My husband installed the new starter relay and the freezer WORKS! I am very happy - I was going to miss our freezer and we had decided not to buy a new one since its just the two of us now. Excellent place for the diy person. I am not much of a handy person but with YouTube and Adam the answerman, I was able to replace a blower motor and capacitor on 2 of my ac units. Best thing was that the person at the store wired the new motor to the 6 prong plug since it has a different speeds than the original old one (15+ years older)

Steven went out of his way to obtain an OEM part for me. After being quoted double the price from a nearby competitor, I was thrilled at the price he quoted. This company seems to be very honest and helpful in debugging problems. They stay busy, so you may be placed on hold for sometime, but if you can get through, its worth a go.

Called and spoke with John several times as dryer door micro switch had stopped working and dryer would on stay when I opened the door. John said they had the micro switch I needed, and in several other short calls, told me how to take the top of the dryer off. Within minutes, I had the switch out, and it was gunked up. I took a tooth brush and cleaned, and lubed slightly. It worked! I have been using them for years, as introduced by my dad, when younger. Adam The Answer Man, is a great business/service, and my siblings and friends use too. I am 71!! :-)
