So happy that I came to this location today! Daryl was especially helpful on fixing up my vehicle (a 17 year old Land Rover, which a lot of people arenβt knowledgeable on). And it took them no time, they were quick and efficient. This is for sure the location Iβll come to from now on. Plus everyone was super nice which I really appreciate! π₯°

Had my brakes and rotors replaced. The brakes were not put on correctly causing a metal on metal sound. They forgot to tighten one of the lug nuts on my rear passenger side wheel. When I called to ask about the status of my truck they said it had been ready but didnt want to bother me by letting me know it was ready to be picked up.
Criminal- $85 for a standard oil change for a commuter car. DO NOT COME HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE OR ANY WORK. If youre younger in age, I recommend looking elsewhere. My experience was that nothing was replaced in my car, not even an air filter, just a standard oil change... for $85? I requested no further work be done. Afterwards, I asked for a receipt then they told me they were out of paper and couldnt give me one. Was overcharged and tech was very smug when I tried to ask a question why it was so much. Used to change my own oil for about $25-30 synthetic. Also went there to get my other car serviced 1 day before hand and charged an identical car $40-50 for a standard oil change. Will be talking to corporate about this specific tech. WORST business and experience. Absolutely unprofessional and think their clientele are idiots.
I came here for an oil change, which it turns out I didnβt need. They were actually honest enough to tell me instead of just charging for it anyway. Since I didnβt get anything done I canβt attest to the service though, but Iβm sure it would be fine.

I came here for an oil change and a quick look at my A/C which wasnt blowing cool air. I asked the guy who took my car if they could look at the a/c and make sure its not the compressor thats out. I bought refrigerant already, but wanted to double check and make sure it wasnt something major like a compressor.After a tech looked at it, he said he could charge the system...for a $150. They wouldnt put my refrigerant in there at the shop, so I just agreed because I wanted it to be cold in my car. After an hour of waiting for the machine to charge my car with a/c the tech told me that my compressor isnt running and the a/c isnt going to work. I was upset and told them that was what I initially told the first guy who took my car. He says, im new here and has the audacity to still charge me for an a/c charge that didnt work. I said im not paying that unless I get some solutions or something, why would i pay for that service if it didnt work. After a couple of guys looked at it. It was simply a $30 power relay switch which I had to go buy at autozone. Thats all it was, a simple fuse. Still had to pay the $150 (plus a ridiculous 76.99 for oil change) even though the car probably didnt even need it if they wouldve checked the compressor first. Very unprofessional, im not going back again. Ridiculous
Do not use this location. I had been coming here 7 years and they were great. Now they have a new manager and everything has gone down hill. They are rude and have an attitude. Not something I am looking for when I spend money at a place of business. I will not be using them again.
Typically had great experience, went in and got an oil change and brake pad replaced. The next day I kept hearing a noise from my breaks. Went back and was told it wasnβt the brakes they had just replaced but my control arm needed replacing. Took the car to my dealership and that told me it was the brakes. I called and was told to bring it back and they would look at it again. I trusted you the first 2 times I took my car, now you want me to trust you a 3rd time. I was was upset that I had to pay to get my brakes replaced again by my dealership to correct to issue. The noise stopped. Felt very taken advantage of.
Lobby smells like smoke. Person at cash register seemed bothered by me walking in and asking for an inspection. He also was very rude to the customer in front of me. When my car was done I had to go outside to find someone since no one was at the desk for 20 minutes. There are plenty of places to get an inspection I donβt know why they are so mean to their customers. I would try someone else first.

I was having some car problems trying to travel back to Chicago in my optima. Easy (the manager) had to order some parts said they would be in next day. Stayed in a hotel came back next day and he informed me that the part wasnβt there yet. He said they were giving him the run around. He assured me he was doing his best to get the part but it was kinda out of his hands. I was on a big time crunch to get back to Chicago. He called around over and over kept me comfortable in his shop drove me back to the hotel gave me discounts and with his help he got the part a little bit before closing time after hustling all day to find the part. He was overly amassing and professional and kept me posted and made his shop my home. Thank you buddy for all your hard work. I hope you become the richest man ever!

Way to slow. Been hefe almost two hours! People have come and gone and im still here. Not kwik at all.
Good response time. I prefer to stay in my car at this time but was directed to wait in a waiting room. Pointed out some issues outside of the scope of the oil change. But, left with under inflated tires that werenβt checked. That seems like a normal part of a $90 dollar oil change. I had to go to 7-eleven after I realized this didnβt happen. I popped my hood to make sure they put the cap back on the brake fluid reservoir as it seems that there is no check-and-balance here. The person that was picking there car up before, while I was waiting, left her car there for 2 hours for a rotation and synthetic oil and got neither.

Inspection - man driving my car did not wear a mask until I pointed it out. I noticed others did not wear masks either, driving in cars and working on them specifically. When they did, all but once did I notice it was not properly covering nose.
I went there for an oil change and car inspection. They told me I needed 800 dollars worth of repairs to get my car inspection passed. I knew something was up because I just had my car at the mechanic for something else and he never told me about any of these issues. So I went down the street to another shop to get a state inspection and I passed everything and only had to pay the inspection fee. Clearly this place was dishonest and tried to extort money from me to pass me on a state inspection since the mechanic I went to before and after found none of the same issues.
Do not take your car here. First thing that happened that wasnt a huge deal was they completed an extra service that I DIDNT ask for and charged me a high dollar for it. Their response was oops, sprry. I dont like making a scene and was too timid to ask them to refund me since the service was already done.The main reason I say do not go here is bc, fast forward 3 months when I was getting my next oil change at Take 5 (theyre amazing), they were appaulded at how damaged my oil filter was, the cap on it was so stripped that all the oil had leaked into my car. They replaced it for free but explained that Corollas require a certain tool and if not used it will strip the metal and damage the car. Long story short they told me to go back to Kwik and inform them of all this damage.

I went to get an oil change and left very displeased to find out that my car had been rambled in. I have never experienced this before so I didnβt know how to take it. My glove compartment had been opened and rambled in. Items that I know were put away were on the floor of my passenger seat, such as receipts & a pack of facial masks. I do not recommend this location to anyone. No one should have to fear that someone would be so evil and malicious to ramble through their car when theyβre paying top dollar for an oil change or anything for that matter.
Went in because I thought I had put some bad gas in my car and they were supposed to do a diagnostic check. Well one of the mechanics that work there told me that he can do it to work for cheaper and I trusted him because he works there. Comes to find out he did some work on the car and now the car works worse than it did when I initially took it up there the first time. Now I have to get the car towed to another place. Dont go here run!!!!!!!!!!
I believe the man I communicated with was named Byron, I just have to say he was the BEST! Byron was hospitable, helpful, and just all around had the most positive energy. I cant say how much I appreciate him being such a nice and welcoming human, it is so refreshing. Kwik Kar.. you have a great employee on your hands.

They had my car from October 12 through October 28 never did one repair. Then they moved my car to another location and never told me. My car is still not ready October 30. No I am not happy with them.
Went for inspection, after 20 minutes I find out they cant inspect with out of state insurance. False. Went down the road and got an inspection without hassle.
Stopped by because the plate of my car wasnβt properly clipped after an oil change at another shop. The team here were immediately helpful and took care of it. It was a simple fix but sent me on my way in 15min. Free of charge! Will be back for my next oil change. Great Team! Thank you!

Went for a car inspection. I called first to ask what would be the best time to drop in. They said right after lunch. Receptionist was friendly and courteous. It took all of ten minutes and I mentioned in passing that I had lost my new phone. Well, the owner went out and retrieved my phone from under the driving seat. Great job. Will be taking my car back for routine maintenance.
I recently moved to Texas and this is where I purchased my first vehicle. Recently, my vehicle had a old shifter cable that broke and my vehicle was not able to shift gears. I took it my vehicle to this particular location and I was informed that this particular work would definitely cost me a lot. When I came to pick up my car the following day, the first thing that the employee called out was that my center console was cracked and they could not explain how it happened. I overlooked the crack and paid for the service. As I was driving home, I noticed that my gear changing light would flicker from Drive to Sport. I did not want to risk the chance of driving and my car shifts and I end up in an accident. When I called the company, they said there is nothing they could do about it. No reassurance was given. They just took my money and did a sloppy job.
All the guys are super nice, very honest and efficient. I didnt have to wait what so ever to get my oil changed, car inspected and a daytime running light replaced. Husband usually comes and swear by them, so when I came I was happy to some of the best customer service in the industry. Great job guys!
I had an another amazing experience at this location. Juan is always extremely friendly and took care of both my state inspection and oil change quickly and efficiently. I had been taking my car to the dealership after purchasing a new car until I realized how much I was being over changed and how much time I was wasting in the inefficient environment. Iβm so happy to bring my car back here and was so pleasantly surprised to see Juan again and that he remember me!! Best in class service!

Kwik Kar on Fitzhugh did a great job yesterday. My breaks were squealing so I thought I might need new brake pads or worse. Just took 10 minutes and I was told I still have lots of life on the pads. 1-2 more years. I appreciate their honesty. Ill be back!!
I had a great experience once again at this establishment. The staff was extremely friendly and handled my state inspection very efficiently. Iβve been a returning customer for five years and Iβm always happy to bring my car back here.
Iβm very disappointed in the service. I called the day before and asked about my breaks getting fixed. He assured me if I was there by 8am (when they opened), it would be done by noon. I was there by 7:45am. He said he would call and tell me what exactly needs to be fixed. 11am and I hadnβt heard anything. When I called, he patronized me by telling me they were swamped and so he hasnβt been able to call. He then proceeded to call me Hun. He also told me they needed to fix my break light as well as my breaks. I didnβt think too much of it, but then when he called at 4pm to tell me 30 more minutes, he called me hun again. I show up 30 mins later. He tells me, βjust give us 20 more minutesβ and squeezes in another hun. When they were finally finished around 5:10pm. He then told me they couldnβt fix the light because their hands were too big. Are you kidding? Should I tell the cop that when he pulls me over for a ticket. Again I was very polite and didnβt say anything. Of course he called me hun again and said I could go to another Kwik Kar or come back later. What?!?! I again was very polite. I left and got all the way home and then realized they had put another persons car key in my car. Seriously! When I drive back up, they laughed and and said a patronizing, βso sorry about thatβ. Im very frustrated that I got put at the end of the line, they didnβt complete the job, they were irresponsible and careless, and they quoted the wrong time over and over again. I could have easily gone to the dealer and spent a little more and had a loan car. Now I have to go somewhere else and waste more time to get the job completed so I donβt get a ticket. I believe Matt was the person I kept speaking to.

I just moved to Texas and didnβt know which place is the best to look at my car. I called around and Juan answered the phone. He was super nice and answered all my questions. Juan was also very professional & did not rush me. Right when I got to the location he greeted me and helped me out of my car, I had a lot of things to get out from my car. I have never had an inspection take over one hour but they were really slow. Iβd recommend going elsewhere if youβre just getting an inspection. Other than that, the technicians were friendly and had good customer service.
Staff is pleasant and cheerful. Nice waiting room with plenty of indoor seating and a few outdoor benches too.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Ive come here a few different times and given my business to this shop. I didnt have issues on my first couple visits however, my last experience here was HORRIBLE! Never in my whole life have I ever been more screwed over by anyone/any business. I came here to get my car looked at (specifically by Hollywood because I truly felt like I could trust him) due to issues I was having with my car jerking when I accelerate. To make a long story short.. I was told that replacing my motor mounts was going to solve my issues. Well it didnt. To be honest my car got worse (although this may not have anything to do with the work they did). So I went back to ask them to take another look at it and they told me that the real issue is the transmission and we dont work on transmissions. Really!? If that was the issue with the jerking than why did I spend $1200 to get my motor mounts changed!? When all along that wasnt going to solve the problem at hand, which was the only reason I went into the shop. To make matters worse, they wrote down on my receipt that they had referred me to see a transmission specialist and that the reason I came in was to get motor mounts replaced I got scammed. Im fresh out of college and Im new to Dallas and already short on money and they wouldnt do anything to fix this situation. No credit. No money back. No nothing. So here I am out on $1200 when I have bills due and a still broken car. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! They will take your money and not think twice about it. I can only hope they feel somewhat guilty for what they did to me.
DEREK at the Fitzhugh location in Dallas is by far my favorite person I have ever had work on my car!... He knows me by name every time I come in, and is always professional and helpful. I am a female that was never taught about cars so it is important for me to feel comfortable making decisions about car maintenance issues. I know when I hand him my keys that my car is always in good hands. I do enjoy learning, so I love that he is teaching me about WHY I need things while he shows me exactly where a problem is on my car. I appreciate his attention to detail, product knowledge, and performance overall. I would be proud to have him on my team.

Very helpful staff. Didnt do the typical up sale. During the tire rotation they checked for wear and damage and found THREE nails in three different tires. Made the repairs quickly and at low cost. No complaints!
I like this Kwik Kar because itβs close to my apartment and I like the convenience. Last week, I had my oil changed and the brake light replaced. The guy doing the work called me out to suggest an engine flush and showed me very dirty air filters that he said came from my car and needed to be changed. Oddly enough, he mentioned that he would have to charge me for labor if he fixed one of the filters because it was behind my glove box, so I wonder how he got it out to show it to me in the first place...? But whatever, Iβm a woman so most places try to pull that stuff. They did a decent (and fast) job on the things I asked them to do, so four stars.
I showed up 30 minutes before they opened and the manager was nice enough to open the office while I waited. When the team showed up they promptly started on my car. They made recommendations based on my manufacturer but were not pushy. Office was clean and in a safe area. I work in downtown Dallas and I will definitely come here again before work!

Rude service
I got a quote from the dealer for some work on my truck; the dealers quote was $1700.00 and they needed to keep the truck for a few days. I brought it to Kwik Kar on Fitzhugh, had all the work done AND an oil change for under $1200.00. Kwik Kar also included a 2 year warranty as opposed to the 1 year warranty offered by the dealer. On top of that, they only had my truck for 5 hours in one afternoon so I wasnt left without transportation for days. Great Job! Thank you!

I have just read some of the other reviews, and cant believe that they are talking about the same Kwik Kar location on Fitzhugh that I have used for over eight years. These gentlemen have always been polite, helpful, and gone the extra mile to help me. I recommend them all time and will continue to do so.
DO not go. HIGH pressure sales mechanic who spend more time seeking to get money than taking care of the required task. I honestly think it was an effort to take advantage of a woman. I WILL NOT be returning to this place and I suggest YOU take heed from my poor experience. READ the other reviews my experience was pretty much on point. I wish I had read the reviews.

I understand that this is part of sales, but I would like a business to be honest with me if my vehicle truly needs something and I would also like a business to not have hidden charges. This is my neighborhood Kwik Kar. I drive in, walk home and walk back when its ready later in the day. Of course, they always find about 10 more things that need fixing in addition to what I came in for -- but thats their business model. What they fix stays fixed, except once when they forgot to reset the odometer after an oil change.
They have a very knowledgable staff. Especially John Morris he is very nice and always does everything very fast and professional

This shop is a complete rip off. My 8 month pregnant wife went in for an oil change and they charged her 70$ for a leak inspection fee, plus the oil change.. After she came home I looked at the car myself and it was obvious they didnt perform any leak detection. I reached out to the manager the next day.. He proceeded to call me disgruntled and said I tampered with the car before bringing it back... Note: this was in front of a lobby full of customers. I then reached out to the owner, Howard who was rude and provided no help. Through out this process they kept telling me we can watch the video of the technician working in my car.. I requested to see it several times and they never showed it to me. This place has terrible customer service and is run by a crook. DONT GO HERE! To top it off the oil drain plug was loose to the touch when I inspected the car myself.

They were awesome---they did suggest some expensive services to me, but they are ones I anticipated and knew I needed to do as upcoming auto repairs--however the team was so helpful I opted to get them taken care of instead of waiting until something bad happened. Danny and Derrick were most helpful...but there were a few others who were awesome as well. Thanks guys.

My experience was the true definition of par. The service done on my vehicle was done appropriately; however, I could not enjoy my time due to the lack of freshly brewed coffee. When I arrived at approximately 8:00am, I had MAYBE 1-2 cups in my system which we all know is not enough to have a proper morning. When I reached for the coffee pot not only was I disappointed, but embarrassed to have others look at me attempt to pour an empty pot.Regardless, the care done on my car was great. I will be back again, hopefully this time with some joe.
Great service but expensive.I appreciated the personnel and the fact they let me take a look at my undercarriage from the pit. Paying $90 for an oil change (bottled) + inspection + engine air filter is just too much. I will come back sometimes but not every time.
I dropped into this store this morning for inspection. One mechanic found some damage on one tail light. He estimated the cost for this repair would be 236.32 for Tail Light Asembly, 52.50 for Labor, and 14.73 for Shop Supplies. Total: 324.27 (inc. tax). I am not an expert in this field, but it seems too much. I have been using your store since 2015. I am so embarrassed today.
