This place is awesome! Large selection of gemstones and findings. A must visit if you are in Dallas or visiting.
Great selection, but the $50 minimum is a turn off. So many abrasive signs and no one on the floor to help. I didn’t purchase this visit and probably won’t be back.
Different variety of product!! Great store
First time shopping here and my experience wasnt preferable. I was shopping there for my cousin, and my cousin was present via video chat to ensure I purchased exactly what she needed/wanted. So the lady approaches me once after having been in the store for about 15 minutes and asks me to not separate the strands of beads from the bunches unless I know for sure that I am going to purchase them. Okay, thats understandable. But stop watching me like a hawk. Strike 1. Then lets say maybe about 15 to 20 minutes later she approaches me again this time telling me in a jumble of scattered improperly placed words that next time during my shopping experience not to video chat so long while in the store or not to take pictures, and then asked if I needed help. Strike 2. As a new shopper shopping for someone else you have now eliminated any possible future business from me. Parenting me like that while Im giving you business. The nerve. Nor was I snapping pictures, or loud, or rearranging the stores inventory. It was uncomfortable and an unpleasant experience. I will never for myself or anyone shop here again. On the positive side, the store has a massive and beautiful selection of stones, beads, charms, etc.
I will never come back unless they lift the $50 minimum. Yes, they had some beautiful beads, but their customer service was horrible and Id prefer them not to dictate how much of my money I can spend. The average crafter/jeweler only wants to spend about $20to $30. I dont think its good business to lose money. Thats what theyre doing by having a $50 minimum.
I can find a good selection of beads and golplated materials
Always have what I need when I need it. I love this store...
I was here this afternoon. The 2 ladies working were so nice & helped me with EVERYTHING I needed. This is a great bead store with everything you could possibly want. I completely understand why they would want you to put your purse in a locker & with a $50 minimum, there is so much you can get for that amount. I was skeptical to go because of the reviews, so glad I did & gave it a shot! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BEAD SHOP! Thanks ladies for a your help, Ill be back soon!😁
The owners are super willing to work with you!! Absolutely love this place! At first I was hesitant because of the requirement to put my bag in a locker however you do get a key to ensure that your bag is safe. After hearing their reasoning it makes sense because they that issues with theft before.
Beaders heaven. Found beads I had been looking to find for 3 1/2 years! Prices are great, selection is wonderful, slightly confusing layout of the store. Some items not labeled with price. $50 minimum purchase, but I spent $50+ so quickly it wasnt something I was worried about.
Best whole beads and findings in Texas. Large selection and very good prices.
Super nice people and an amazing selection of high quality items.
*sigh*, I hate to write anything bad about a business, but I went there today and the woman at the front wouldnt let me walk past the door hardly! She kept asking me what I was looking for, and I kept walking closer to go into the store, but she blocked me. Mind you Im dressed for work right now so Im in office attire and dont look like some bead thief (yes, I know anyone can steal). There is a 50 dollar minimum as well, which isnt a problem if they had what I was looking for, but unfortunately I never got the chance to even browse. She kept asking so many questions that she asked me to Google a picture of what I was looking for then she quickly said, no we dont have those, sorry. See you later. What??? Well mistake for her because I went to another bead store that was AWESOME and bought tons of beads. So :P to you Bead on Beads! Go to QUEEN BEADS instead, they are so nice and helpful and funny. I told them Id definitely be back. :)
Beads on beads is my go-to bead supplier. I always shop online with them. I am a return customer who also does wholesale business with them, so they have provided special orders for me. The physical store is nice and Ive been there many times. They carry a variety of stones and materials which are all great quality. Almost every time I visit their store, they have new products on display which really helps be able to create new designs. Although it may appear that the staff is preoccupied sometimes, if you ask, they are always happy to help me locate my order. Great quality stuff, patient staff, and is somewhere I definitely recommend to all my friends!!
The folks who are unhappy with their experience, it’s because this store is in place for wholesale to business people not everyday Walmart shoppers. They ARE doing me a favor for being there because I’ve shopped all the wholesale stores up and down Harry Hines and they along with one other store are the only ones I will purchase from. The quality is what I want and the price fits what I’m buying. I would rather not have to ask a price on everything I want but I respect the fact that it is how they do business. The more you buy the better the price. It is wholesale for businesses. I can not buy a train car full of merchandise to open a bead store so I appreciate that they are there. Leave your purses and other bags in your car. You don’t need to be carrying them into a store like this anyway. You need your hands free to check out all the awesome selection they offer. I’ve been their customer since they opened . I moved to Houston back in 2011 and when I came back in 2015 was happy to see they are still here. In reality I witnessed that it’s more so rude customers in which they put up with than other way around. If you are a business customer, you understand the atmosphere, if not you probably do not belong in a wholesale store. Maggie is helpful when I need her to answer questions. She puts up with way more rudeness than you can imagine. But I go in and spend an hour or so just googling over all the many choices. They don’t interrupt my shopping unless I ask questions. That store is where I go to have quality chill time. I walk out like I dropped all my stress on the floor and replaced it with beautiful beads or stones and a great big smile!
I would give 0 stars if possible. Horrible customer service. Apparently, if you as them to show you something to get a closer look, they want you to buy it. It’s a shame, because they have a good variety of beads. I will definitely take my business elsewhere.
Wonderful doing business with them! It is also surprising easy to reorder items from them via email, assuming you have pictures of prior purchases not listed on their website.
I love this place. Been coming here for three years and Im so glad i found it! I was put off at first because of the minimum purchase but yall. Come on. How many times do you go to hobby lobby and spend more than that? Yeah your purse goes in a locker, is that so bad? Keeps prices down since jerks arent stealing from them. You get way more for your money and the selection is unbeatable.
I went inside the store I felt attack because I had a bag. a lady charge me and told me I could not enter with a bag. I shop around and found very little selection of items and none which had price tags. again I felt I was being watch the entire time I was in the store. I quickly left this store and went to the front store where I was treated better and with more respect for my persona.
Bead on Beads is the best wholesale Bead and Findings shop in DFW area! Maggie and all of her staff are very friendly and helpful. They wont even let me carry the heavy box to my car when I go overboard! Love the new shop too, its so roomy and all the beads are a lot more visible then the old shop. The prices are so reasonable and once you are there, pack a lunch because you will be there for a while! After I read what some other unsatisfied customers wrote, I had to write my review to dispute those people who apparently have never been in a wholesale district. Most of Maggies prices are there, but honestly if you are an avid bead shopper, you know the average wholesale cost of a strand. They do not make you buy in bulk. One strand is one strand, but they do have a minimum, and if you do not meet it, you will be charged retail price.Kudos Maggie on your new store and I look forward to visiting you again and again!!
After reading the reviews of the 3 bead stores, I elected to start with this store knowing I would put my purse in a locker and need to buy $50.Didn’t have to worry with my purse hanging on my shoulder - SCORE!!Basket to put my purchases in. Okay. In 10 minutes there were $40 worth of just findings... hadn’t looked at bead one. After an hour of looking at the WALLs of beads, the tableS of beads, my head was swimming. While I was there 4 other customers were in and out shopping.I asked the lovely owner 3 times to find certain things for me. She is a lovely, quiet, and happy charmer.Give this “Beads On Beads” store a chance.
I would not recommend this store to NO ONE!!!!, the people are rude and unprofessional and will argue with you about price, nothing in the store accept for the beads on the table are not marked, Ive been in this store three times and their selection is not great at all, I think that they make up the prices as they go. I purchase some beads there about a month ago and a week after the purchase I went to purchase the same beads and they change the price on me the lady argued me up and down now how rude is that and its my money that paying for the product so I would think you need to be more respectful and mindful of that, making jewelry is a hobby so I dont have to do it, I told the girl I will go somewhere else and she just seemed like she didnt care, she never said thank you after I made the purchase. NEVER NEVER WILL I GO BACK TO THAT STORE, I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I understand some of the customer has opinions about their 50 dollars minimum, but that is Ok for me, I usually go to the store about 2-3 times in a week, every time consumption more than 50 dollars. I dont think 50 dollars minimum is a problem. Their shop is so neat, full of selectivity. And all the staff are very friendly, They often very quickly to help me find what I want. This is the best shop I have been to in DFW area. I will keeping visit here.
Good organization
Great selection, especially of semiprecious stones, crystal, and chains. Well organized and well lit.
Great store - ships VERY fast and very good quality beads. Definitely recommend over the China wholesale stores. Have ordered multiple times, never an issue.
Horrible customer service. i am always afraid of asking for something and thats not fun because nothing is priced and i swear the prices are different everytime i ask. i end up just giving up and accepting whatever price she gives me at checkout.
Ive been to this store many times and have always felt I was more of an inconvenience to the employees than a customer they appreciate. Very few items have prices, you just have to trust the lady at the counter who just knows the price of everything. I was in the area yesterday and popped in, apparently effective Sept 2016 you have to spend at least $50 in their store or they will not sell to you. (I was the only customer in the store and was still turned away) This is very bad bussiness in my opinion!! I do not always need $50 worth but sometimes I need $200, but because of the lack of appreciation for their customers I will now not go back in no matter how much I need to buy. Far to many other options for my beading needs online or even right there near them! I did stop into queen beads after being turned away from beads on beads, the ladies at queen beads where so friendly and helpful, greeted me as I walked in to tell me about their sales, helped with my questions. Queen beads will now get those $200 trips along with the smaller $30 I spent yesterday. I just do not see anything good about beads on beads, poor customer service, no prices on items, must lock up your purse (youre considered a thief as soon as you walk in the door) most expensive bead store on Harry Hines, and now a $50.00 limit on all sales. @beadsonbeadslostmybussiness
I come here once a month get what I need to buy and get out. This place is a wholesale store for all kinds of beads and other wide variety of unusual hard to find selections and open to public. This is not Nieman Marcus or Macys that youd expect excellent service. They are nice BUT ARE NOT WORKING ON COMMISSION like big Department store. Its located on Harry Hines Dallas which apparantly YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PUT YOUR PURSE in to a locker. Why cause they have experienced many shoplifting in that area. The only way to control their merchandise lost or preventing further loss is to have bags be turned in .They sell many little things that it is impossible to watch everyone. The staff are Asian and they speak very little which because they dont carry conversation may have suggest theyre are rude. THEY ARE NOT they non speaking could be theyre are shy but misunderstood as being rude. Its a different culture that non could understand. Thats my observation. Im happy with the price. They have not done anything to upset me. They just dont speak much but to check-out or point what you want.I dont work for them. I only come once a month when I need some rhinestones.Im from another country too. I totally understand all angles of frustration.I understand immediate when they told me i have to put my purse in the locker. Its their shop, their rule. I follow. I didnt get offended at all. They really are nice if you talk to them. But if you talk in very demanding tone which I witness they didnt argue they explained whyIts just what I called Enthocentric, different culture do accept other ways of doing things.Remember, its a wholesale supposed to be only for BUSINESS retail buyer but its nice they let us public buy stuff there.Other stores surrounding wont let you buy unless you have the DOING BUSINESS AS NAME of your Business with your EIN OR SSN submitted they asked for that card too.All Im saying is dont judge these people harshly. They are nice people.▪No they didnt ask me to post this.▪Nope I dont work for anyone to fake post this ▪Nope they didnt pay me to do this.✔THIS IS MY OWN TESTIMONIALS AND SINCERE FEEDBACK.😀BE KIND .. youll get it back in a nicer way.
I have worked with owners & had a great experience. They really care about what they do.
The worst customer service experience Ive ever had
I didnt mind putting my purse in a locker. Beats folks staring at you like a thief, and with all of the stuff they have in there and considering the size of the place a dishonest person could clean them out. I dont blame them, if I had a shop that size I might do the same. I told my husband that I will be coming here instead of the gem show. I think they have a booth at the show anyway, so why pay that extra for overhead for the weekend? My only advice is to really scrutinize the pearls. Pick your strand and make sure that they give you the one you requested. Id go the gem show for pearls (in the wholesale section) and trounce the vendors with the faux swarovskis (scrutinize them too). Everything else, its Bead on Beads for me. They have a lot of cheap looking stuff, too, but SOMEBODYS buying it AND wearing the finished product. Ill be back.
Awful! You have to spend $50 minimum or they will charge you an extra $10. They were not helpful at all nor did they even try to help. You are not allowed to carry your phone, purse or wallet. You have to put it in a locker.Very disappointed!!
Zero customer service. Id only go back if I knew exactlywhat I wanted, nobody else had it and didnt have any questions.
Millions of beads. Great service.
Customer service is always great
If you buy wholesale there is $100 MINIMUM. If not, you still have a $50 MINIMUM. If I pay you for supplies, I get to tell YOU how much I will buy and when.
This place is awfull employees are rude they act like they are doing you a favor by being there, dont guess they realize, the customers are how they get paid.lIf I could rate zero stars I would.
The worst customer service! There are other options in the area. Buyers beware!
I went to L&M Luxury Event
Very well, the visit. I liked.
I loved it, good prices, Ill be back !!!!!
