First let me say, that Mark is a great owner and man of his word. I had decided on a truck and some how, we had some mis communications and truck got sold. However, Mark stepped in and made everything right with me and a purchase of another truck. I must say, he is a man of his word and does what he says he will do regarding a truck purchase. Very honest and friendly environment with plenty of inventory that is there and constantly adding more. Fully satisfied with my experience at Auto Place! I traveled to Dallas from Michigan in search of a rust-free truck to bring back home. After finding one of their listing on Cars.com, and reading their Google reviews, I decided to pay them a visit. It was a great experience from start to finish. Large selection, zero sales pressure, and friendly service from the entire family throughout.

Let me begin by saying that I have read lots of reviews of Mark and staff at Auto Place. I do not know whether Mark is evolving into the super guy that I met, or whether to disbelieve the nay sayers. What I do know, is I had the most awesome buying experience I have ever had with a car dealership with Mark and staff. And I am 64 years old and have lots of experience. (and have mechanic in my resume)Let me begin... 1. the deal... Mark gave me the best price for my used truck. One dealer offered me 2K, and that was on a 16K truck. One offered me 4K on a 10K truck. Mark offered me 5K on a 13K truck. During the test drive, I noticed an oil burning smell and the radio didnt work. Mark spent 350 dollars plus mechanic fee to replace a gearbox that was leaking. Then he put in an after market radio... but that wasnt all folks, he was going to replace a bad tire. However, I had found a set of used tires on chrome wheels that I wanted on Offer Up, so I made a deal with him. Instead of buying the tire, could he use that money to upgrade the radio to one with a back up camera. He said yes!!! Not only that, but to work with me and my transit, he had the installer come to my house and install the radio, 50 miles away!! 2. The financing... I originally found Auto Place through a financing offer on Facebook. I applied and was approved. They wanted me to shop at one of their approved dealers. Which I did. However, there was a glitch in the interface program that linked the dealer with the finance company underwriters. Diane had to literally sit on the phone with California for hours, with repeated attempts over a 7 day span to get the programming glitch fixed. It took a third party tech group to re-write some code to repair the problem. But Diane was awesome as she never quit. She fielded a thousand of my calls with professionalism and patience as I whined and cried about the problem. I had gone through a bankruptcy and I figured this was just some ploy by the financing company to mess me around... Yet, Diane prevailed and got everything pushed through. Yeah Diane! 3. Mechanical issues cont... A few days after bringing my truck home, the ac quit. Mark told me to take it to his mechanic and they would fix it. He put a new hose on it. Couple days later it quit again. This time they put a compressor on it. (all paid for by Mark) Then it quit again... Weeks into my owning the truck. This time Mark gave me a loaner and kept my truck until the mechanic could get it right. This time they replaced the evaporator and now the ac works fine. Let me ask you, a 13k truck? How many dealers do you know would give you an upgraded radio with backup camera, replace a 350 dollar gearbox, and put over a thousand in the ac (at least) while giving you a loaner truck to drive? Mark and staff went above and beyond. Period!If youre looking for a reasonably priced vehicle with medium miles on it, Mark and staff is your best bet. Tell them I sent you!!!

Buyers beware!!! Purchased a 2005 f150 lariat 4x4 almost a year ago, after a month the engine light came on, couldn’t find what was wrong so took it to a certified Ford mechanic, after looking the engine over he asked me what auction I bought it from. I asked why would he think it was an auction truck? He said he would hope that no dealership would actually sell a truck like this. So far I’ve spent probably $2500 on parts, no labor since I did repairs myself.

Found these guys entirely by accident shopping for a cheap used toy car that my son and I can tinker with on the weekends and sport around in - never thought Id own a Corvette but they sold me a used high-mileage C5 Corvette 6spd manual (only one I could find in Texas that was reasonable!) at a great price, and for a car this old the engine and trans are absolutely mint, paint is great. Interior of course is in need of some love but how could it not be at this age - these guys even changed the oil, installed a new oil pan gasket, installed new bulbs for signal lamps, AND installed a new battery for me free of charge - their manager is even mailing me replacement keyless remote batteries.Entire process from start to finish was the easiest car purchase Ive ever made, no bullshit, no haggling, nothing hidden in the process. These guys are primarily a fleet truck outfit and depend on repeat buyers; if you play straight with them, theyll play straight with you.When you buy a used car you must make peace with the fact that it is used and not attempt to pin the previous owners lack of care for something on the dealership . Ive tinkered with sports cars much of my life and Ive never come across a dealership that would so much as turn a wrench twice on a used car to get it sold - these guys are solid, would buy again, highly recommend them.

Fair prices on vehicles. No hesitating for you to look at, drive, or even take the vehicle to a shop for a quick look over. Friendly staff. Very low pressure, like no pressure car buying. Clean in- door facility. LIly was incredibly nice to my wife and daughter while I took my time looking over my prospective truck. I wound up cruising off the lot with a 2001 Toyota Tacoma. Without Cargurus having that truck listed I never would have known this place existed. Now, i may be back there in a few years to get my daughters first car.

The sale process was pleasant enough, but they ended up selling me a lemon. Ive spent nearly as much fixing my Camry as I did on the purchase. If youre thinking of buying a used car, TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC FIRST! There are so many mechanical issues that cant be diagnosed unless its in a shop. If the dealer wont let you do that, walk away. I should have.

Let me tell you, Ive done business with some shady characters in my life and career and, in fact, used to sell cars for a living. But this guy, Mark, with Auto Place Inc, or Auto Place Texas, is the most honest, above board car and truck dealer I have ever met or done business with. He started by pointing out all of the flaws, up front, of any truck I was interested in, gave his own opinion on which trucks he thought would fit what I was looking for, honestly told me which vehicle was maybe a little less than what I would want and when I wasnt happy with my original purchase, he took it back and let me have at another one, telling me he just wanted me happy with whatever truck I took home. I absolutely, whole heartedly, recommend Auto Place Texas if youre looking a good used car or truck. I couldnt be more satisfied.

Watch out. 5 out of 7 trucks we started had check engine lights on. Some had other service lights on as well. One good thing their sales staff isnt pushy.

If Ricky does the repair, RUN!August 2014, I test drove a 2008 Ford F-150 with 135,000 mi. The truck engine (5.4 Triton V8) wasnt running right and Mark Shafiyan said it was the timing chain. He said he would have it repaired. After repair I went back to Auto Place, Inc, test drove the truck again and talked with their mechanic Ricky. Ricky did the timing chain replacement and also did an oil change. I purchased the vehicle in late September 2014.In January 2015, after only 3,500 miles, the engine stalled and refused to start. I had it towed to my mechanic and they said the truck was very low on oil. Due to extremely low oil pressure, the time chain had jumped, pistons and valves had collided into each other and the engine needed to be replaced.The engine oil capacity is 7 quarts and mechanic said it only had about 4 quarts in it. In the three months of driving it, I never an indication that the oil level was low: the oil pressure light never came on and none leaked from the engine. Plus, I just had the oil changed.The inescapable conclusion is that when the repair and oil change were done, only 4 quarts of oil was replaced instead of the 7 quarts required either by a lapse of attention or a mistake.When I talked by phone with Mark and Ricky, They stated that the engine failure was my fault. Engine oil needs to be changed every 3,000 miles, Rick said. Later I found this to be not true. 2008 Ford F-150 manual says the oil change interval is every 7,500 miles.So if you decide to purchase a car from Auto Place, Inc., ask if any repairs were done by Ricky. If the answer is yes, run away. Or at the very least have the repair verified by a mechanic you trust.

I purchased a used vehicle from this place about 4 years ago at a very reasonable price. That vehicle has worked very well for me. I went by today to look for another one, and once again they had some very reasonable prices on some of their vehicles. Some deals were better than others, but thats not unusual at all when buying used. The keys to buying used vehicles are... knowing what signs to look for that indicate abuse, research dependabilty ratings for different vehicles, always check the carfax reports and most important, have an HONEST mechanic give the car or truck an actual in-depth inspection before you purchase it.These inspections typically take a couple of hours to do if done correctly and they are not cheap if done right. Its an investment that is always considered money well spent!!

Place sucks! Owner new i was coming to test drive vette got there at 10 when they open and it was still close. Finally got to see car and it wouldnt start. Dead battery.they jumped it i took it for a ride and it was a piece of junk got back and the car was smoking from engine

Shady people! We bought a 2001 Chevy and it needed repairs the following week. They were suppose to have repairs done as part of the purchase. Here we are having problems with the truck still 2 months later. To the point where the whole drive shaft fell off of the truck while diverting home with my kids in the truck and another 700 dls invested. We asked for a considered trade in since this has been a issue. They wouldnt transfer our down payment and would only take the truck as a trade in with the value of 4,000 when a got it at 5,999 plus a down payment of 4,000. Bullshit business company.

Bought a van here and before i even made my first payment, the transmission gave out and of course no one here will call me back. Dont buy from here and if you do take vehicle to your own mechanic. Unless warranty is in writing dont believe the we will take care of you. They picked the right street to do business on..shady trail
