First time here for a signing event. Told to register for a time slot on Telegram. They did not utilize the app for communication. They didnt use it at all! Showed up 10 mins before and found out it was just show up and come on in. A lot of missed opportunity for this event. Hope they can organize better in the future.
Nice people, accommodating, great shop. Nice to have an LCS in the neighborhood.
Nice collection of graphic novels and books of various reading levels. Was our first visit and we were welcome with by staff, who notified us of the sales immediately. As you see me here digging though the back issues, found a couple gems and some fresh comics I hadnt dove into yet. I will definitely come back and possibly add a subscription here to keep me coming back more frequently.Bishop Arts area was a plus considering the atmosphere outside, with live music and choices of food and drink close by.
Patrick is awesome! Very helpful. Super friendly!
Went in here after going to another comic store not to far from downtown that had horrible customer service. Red Pegasus staff member at the time of visiting was very helpful and even took what type of comic my sons were looking for and suggested certain writers and series to read. Would definitely come back here again.
LOVE the customer service! I always come here for my comics. I travel far, to get to this shop, also. Its so worth it.
They are not bicycle friendly. I rode my bicycle up to the comic book store and the guy behind the counter (with a ponytail) said there was no room for the bicycle. There were only 3 people in the shop. Really disappointing to hear as Ive visited this establishment before with no issues. Go visit Zeus comics on Inwood Rd if youre on a bicycle and looking for great comics.
Great selection of comics and the nicest employees. One in particular recommended some awesome comics. Love coming here!
Impossible to find, very crowded and narrow street, very dangerous to drive there, waste of time and gas
Not as big, but very cool.
I love Red Pegasus! Im glad they weathered the storm. If youre looking for your next reading addiction, stop by. The people there always have awesome recommendations. Plus I love supporting local businesses. They have an awesome collection of graphic novels.
I have been purchasing from Red Pegasus Comics for the last 5 years and I have never found a better comic shop. Not only are Gabriel and Kenneth two of the nicest people out there, but both of them are straight up with the customers and provide insightful recommendations. Even now, living in AZ, I have them ship me comics monthly which come in perfect condition. I don’t think I’ll ever be a regular at any other comic book shop except Red Pegasus!
Great comic book shop!! They have a lot of variety and the staff is very kind and helpful.
Awesome staff, cool store, great selection, and if they dont stock it, theyll order it for you.
Great place for comics! Friendly staff!
Compact yet well stocked shop with a friendly staff!
Cutest comic shop! They are always so helpful and nice!! Great comic selection and awesome suggestions on what to buy for the whole family!
Great place for comics, manga, and collectables. No cards but the place is very organized.
Nice selection of graphic novels. Need to build their comics collection up. Friendly staff.
On the recommendation of a friend I decided to make the first comic book purchase of my life several months ago. Red Pegasus is near home. I entered a little apprehensive of my own ignorance in the realm of graphic novels. These guys (and gals) helped me select a title I have fallen in love with. They continue to make great recommendations and nurture a new hobbyist. 5 stars, do recommend.
Drove around 15 minutes to find a parking spot to find out they are only open two days a week. Awesome.
We found this place while we were visiting Dallas and we are always trying to find neat hole in the wall comic book shops...and let me tell you we hit the jackpot on this one! The shop was awesome! The selection was one of the best, and the owners bag and board every comic right when they get them, so you know they are in the best condition possible. The owner made sure we were finding everything we were looking for and really made us feel like we were one of his regulars. This is definitely going to be one of our regular stops when we are in Dallas! Also, since we are fairly new to collecting comics books, he answered all of our questions about the best way to store them and was just a genuinely nice guy overall!
The best place to find games and comics as well as a fun loving atmosphere! They host multiple events weekly and who can go wrong with CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY!! they do it every WEDNESDAY!!Fridays are Magic the Gathering night but even if youre not a Magic fan they have plenty of fun games that you can grab from the shelves and play. The owners are fun loving animal friendly guys! Best people you will ever meet! :D or just go in for fun!! literally my home away from home.
Real friendly and knowledge staff. Dont hesitate on welcoming nor helping you. Very helpful people
Not the comic store for me but..!Staff here is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. Their friends come around sometimes so if one person doesnt know an answer to your question, the other will. Very welcoming, organized,.. just great people to be around. Their space is very small though. Limited selection of back-issues as they are a new store. (Opened in 2015.) If youre looking to hang out, meet new people with similar interest, or just looking for something new to read -- this is THE place for you. Even if youre just looking for advice to get into comics, I recommend this shop and the staff. You dont have to buy anything, theyll help you; theyre cool like that, but I guarantee you, these guys will help you a lot. (However, I encourage you to DO buy from them if they help you, lol.)
Great staff who got me back into comics. They take care of their books and memorabilia. Bag and board everything on the racks. Place is a little small, but they make do.
Great selection of books, staff is warm and welcoming. I live in 20+ miles away, and its well worth the travel. Cant wait to make my way there again soon
This store has the best owners ever. They are very active in the community and just the nicest dudes around. Definitely my favorite shop.Do yourself a favor and stop in and see the amazing amount of stuff theyve managed to fit in their awesome, cozy shop.
Great comic shop located in Bishop Arts District. Lots of great events planned weekly, great atmosphere and all interest of covered in the shop. You can fill up your comics, games, toys, and hard to find collectibles. In 25 years of being a comic fan I have ever been to a shop this good.
Not only was I impressed with the titles and goodies in-store, but I was blown away by the level of knowledge the folks at Red Pegasus possess. Unlike other comic shops Ive visited, the people here are very patient and more than willing to go above and beyond to try and find what youre looking for. My new home for comics when I visit Dallas. Thanks, RP!
Holy cow is this place amazing! The first time I walked into Kenneth and Gabriels shop and asked if they had Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics I was hooked. Whether youre hardcore into keeping up with every new issue or are simply interested in what comics have to offer, you cant beat Red Pegasus. They will find exactly the right book for you! And if youre looking for a gift for a friend or loved-nerd in your life, look no further. Their selection of Pop! Figures and other small gifts is phenomenal. Red Pegasus is the real deal and I cant sing their praises enough, just look at my now nearly-empty wallet!
Fantastic shop. Happy to call it my shop and recommend it to everyone. The boys are always kind and a pleasure to speak with. They carry a great variety of comics from major titles to the smaller more obscure dark stuff. They bag and board all comics, which is extremely convenient and prevents damage..which has been a problem in the past with other shops. Also with a great collection of table top games and Pop! figures that you normally wouldnt find elsewhere, they host Magic: The Gathering nights and last but not least sell Japanese candy & soda. What?! What else can a growing man-boy in his thirties ask for?? The Answer..not much, man. Thank You Red Pegasus. Youre neat!
My favorite comic store! The staff are so eager and passionate and it really shows in their customer service! Very welcoming and patient to people new the the comics culture. Usually have cool events and game nights. Also offer neat collectibles and game merch!
LOVEEED IT
Cool up and coming store. Went to find some back issues Im collecting, and although they didnt have any of the ones I was looking for they were still very attentive and friendly. Cool location and the layout is great. Ill be stopping by here in the future more often.
This is my favorite comic book shop in Dallas! The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful to people like me who are new to comics. They have a great selection and it’s located in bishop arts which is always fun to stroll around. Check it out!
Very friendly & helpful. The owners are very welcoming. I bring my son who is 8 years old now to buy his comics here. Its always a pleasure buying from Red Pegasus Comics.
Posers. Paying people to post positive and high rating reviews when they could care less about the community they set their business on. They are not welcomed in our neighborhood.
Visited last Tuesday night before Midnight for the Doomsday Clock release. Easy to get to, nice house turned into a comic book store. Good selection of comics and very friendly.
A great place for comic lovers and even non-comic lovers, like myself. I didnt feel awkward in there even though I knew nothing about comics and the staff was super friendly. Theyre hilarious and answered any questions my friends and I had. They even had a wonder woman party and provided crowns, bracelets and cupcakes!
These guys love comics! While they dont have the largest back catalogue of comics, they have you covered on current running and new release, as well as a substantial book and collective print selection. My new favorite!
The staff is great, friendly and very knowledgeable and can help you find what youre looking for. I am a regular there and thats my go to for my comics and pop culture.
“5 women walk into a comic book store…said no one ever.” And yet, there we were. No one hissed “Not one of us!” The owner greeted us with a genuine smile and suggested the restaurant next door for the 3 of our group who were comic-impaired. Great selection of books mixed with just enough gaming accoutrements to keep the store balanced. The owner took time out of a game in progress to suggest some new reads. I hear they are moving to a new space a few doors down soon. The suggestions were spot-on so I’m sure to be back.
Ive been looking for a particular issue all over the region I live in. Nothing. I called these guys and minutes later it was secured and on its way.You need something? These gents will be your best bet.
Small spot, but nice. Comics bagged & boarded, with resealable bags! Employee was friendly and knowledgeable during my visit. Plan to go back
Fantastic and cozy, and extremely well curated. Great taste in artwork on the walls.
Nice little shop with lots to see. Super friendly staff.
Great comic book store! Knowledgeable and helpful staff, selection for all ages and interests.
Great shop and such an amazingly nice guy working there. Very knowledgable and welcoming. Definitely destroys the standard CBS employee. Not close to our digs, but worth the travel to shop there again.
Small, friendly comic shop. They sell recent issues and trade paperbacks, so you can get your monthly comic fix but dont expect to find anything older than a year here. Staff was super friendly when I asked questions about different titles, wasnt pushy or overly talkative about the nuances of one issue vs another.
They have a huge selection of different comics and collectibles, I even picked up on some new ones last time I went. The owners are super nice and helpful at finding what youre looking for. I would highly reccomend this place to anyone, comic lover or not.
Cute shop. It you get intimidated in other shops, this one may work out better. And I youre looking to share your fandom thoughts with, they chat very nice and with equal enthusiasm.
Helpful staff, good selection, popular location, a community icon!
Place was awesome, has the feel of a neighborhood comic book store which I love. Employee was actually talkative as opposed to the other comic book store I went to earlier. You can tell she genuinely cared about comics, and about getting me the thing I wanted. Prices on items were wag reasonable, again as opposed to the other place. I ended up spending alot less here for the same item. Will always come back when im back in Dallas. Keep up the great work.
Nice spot gabe and naomi are good peeps
Cozy hole in the wall comic shop, has the feel of a pop&pop shop but all it sells is comics. The owners are very friendly and hands on.
Always friendly the staff was the very first people I and my husband have met when we moved here to Dallas and they have been great to us ever sense
The owners are always friendly & helpful.
A very cool spot for comic collectors. The guys were super nice and welcoming when we came in. They had Funko Pops and comics that they were clearancing out that were super cheap. Overall, a nice find.
Small but some decent comics not alot of funkos if thats what your looking for.
Large selection and friendly staff. They were very nice and willing to help. Can set up a pull list or get caught up with volumes. A little picked over when we visited, but that was just after Christmas
Love this place! Great selection overall not just comics and games. So many fun events as well!
Great little place for comics and figures.. Didnt have any spawn comics but its still a great place to shop at...
Cool litte shop, owners were really nice. Came in christmas shopping, found something for my brother and his kids in like .2 seconds and they loved it! My only complaint has to do with the community more than the store. Just wish more people liked board games. No ones buying or playing, so Red Pegasus isnt stocking nearly as much as they used to. Pick it up, local gamers!!
I love comic shops. Nice dudes working, not salesy at all
Not much of a selection
Is there haikyuu?
Great cozy shop, I was able to find a Power Ranger comic my daughter loved. Nothing to scary or sexy on display which I appreciate.
Love this place!Great selection and what they dont have they are willing to order if there is enough demand!Customer service is top notch! The staff know EVERYTHING about whats int he store and a lot of what is not as well. In addition to great knowledge, they are super friendly and have not only helped me pick out games for the youth shelter I work at but donated games and items to it as well for our residents.Tons of community events that include game nights and pop up shops offsite at all your favorite nerdy events (e.g. Star Wars Movie Nights, Marvel Movies, etc). All around awesome so 5 stars!
The guys their were super helpful! I wasnt victim to the comic book girl stigma and received a warm welcome & good convo on good reading suggestions when my choice was not available-- the experience was soo great i just had to spend some money! :)
Friendly guys who work there.great with conversation and good and calm environment.have great comic books.lots of collectables, also available shirts of the store for sale
Nice place a bit small especially the parking but nice place
The owners are amazing people and Im so happy to call myself a regular at this establishment. Great games with great people.
The staff is super friendly, and the man working there seemed excited to talk comics and help me, which made me feel not as awkward as a newbie to comic books. Their selection is great, and I will be returning.
Nice shop, friendly owners and they have great guest events and a really good comic/toy selection.
I love Red Pegasus. I used to goto gen x when I was living in ft worth, but this shop is definitely worth checking out.
Fantastic store run by the nicest guys who make you feel comfortable and valued. Cool mural!
Owners = Amazing. Thoughtful and very knowledgeable. Great recommendations.
Good place for comics lover like me
They are the greatest. Super helpful. Nothing bad that I can add.
Ive been to plenty of shops, and hands down this is number 1, ever since I bought Batman 41 from then Ive been to no other store. Nice guys to talk to and easy to get along with.
This place is like a jewell in the area. Awesome owners and a rare selection of comic books. Also this place is magic friendly and offers a small and confy place to stay.
Nice shop with lots newer comics and graphic novels.
Neat place, nice owners, Im a fan of comics (not a real collector), Im not a gamer (RPG) but it seems to be a neat place to game.
Great selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Great people convenient great selections and prices hands down the best comic book store if u havent been there I suggest u stop in if not for the murcandice then go for the company u wont be disappointed
The crew at Red Pegasus is always friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and increasingly rarely in nerd culture, never, ever gives attitude. Will talk to young, old, new, and seasoned fans all with the same level of engagement and excitement! A broad selection of comics and graphic novels, good selection of games and geek merch, and a rich assortment of public (and free) programs like Artist/Writer Meet Up, Ladies Night, and Book Club round out a shop that got its fingers on the pulse of its diverse Oakcliff neighborhood. Set away from the main drag in an adorable former neighborhood convenience store, the look inside as well as outside is as inviting as any shop youll find in DFW.
They didnt ask me if I needed help a million times and follow my hands around as if I were stealing, like many other shops do. Also a very friendly atmosphere.
Red Pegasus is hands-down one of my favorite places in Oak Cliff. Its one of the few places that I enjoy visiting in Bishop Arts, even if its crowded and busy in the neighborhood. The owners, Kenneth and Gabriel, are extremely kind and approachable even if you are a complete newbie to comic and gaming culture, which I was my first time at their store. They have spent 30 mins to an hour multiple times answering my questions and educating me on comic book culture. They have a great collection of comics: single editions, hard backs, recognizable and obscure. I already enjoyed the Green Lantern before coming here, and was introduced to Vampirella after going there. Who knew a vampire vixen was in an Aliens story arc? Crazy and awesome! They have a big assortment of all sorts of collectibles, action figures and fan memorabilia. My favorite is all of their buttons. I go in every so often for new flash for my denim jackets. They also sell board games, which I still need to check ot a little bit more. Candy! Soda! My usual package is a single edition, soda, bag of candy and a sticker or a button. One of the most awesome things Red Pegasus does is embrace the community spirit Oak Cliff is known for. They regularly host Magic: The Gathering card tournaments and have a weekly game night that anyone can drop in for. They are also somewhat of unofficial after school activity for the nearby high school students looking for something unique and constructive to do after school. The owners and staff at Red Pegaus are great people that genuinely care about their customers and their community. I would wholeheartedly recommend ANYONE check out Red Pegasus!
Pretty cool place and they have a variety of comics.
