Awesome place if you want to rent a trailer. Today I was picking up a 12x6 trailer and one blinker was not working. The manager Chelsea went above and beyond to quickly rewire the trailer so it’s in perfect working order. In today’s world most employees do not care to provide excellent customer service but I was very pleased to see Chelsea fixing the blinker in the pouring rain. Within half hour I was on my way with a trailer that I needed very badly to pick up trees from a plant nursery. I will definitely be back.

I visited this UHaul for instalation of a hitch to the back of my car and a two-bike rack. The staff was professional and took care of full installation quickly. He showed me the proper use of bike placement on the rack and gave me a good discount on price. I needed to have appointment and service was completed quickly.
Five star service! Chelsea and her team in Danbury are fantastic. They made getting a new hitch and wiring installed so easy, even with social distancing etc. They even helped me with my own trailer light issue, replaced the bulb, free of charge and re-set the hitch connection for me. Old fashioned honest care and attention by them. I felt so much more comfortable towing my boat on the highway. These folks are there for you, happy to help you and all with a smile. I couldnt recommend them highly enough.

Worst customer service ever!!! The Manager literally screamed and cursed at me. I almost had to call the cops. The excess fees are absolutely ridiculous! They dont tell you about them until you return the truck! Rent a moving truck elsewhere! Trust me!!!
Hands down the best experience Ive ever had renting anything. All you snowflakes who got your feelings hurt because of poor customer service can go sit. Maybe look in the mirror and ask yourself why - Im positive you had something to do with that bad experience of yours. Cry for meI wish they would rent cars too! Enterprise can learn a thing or two from the 24/7 pickup and drop and contact-less experience using my phone.Its pretty hard to impress me but you did uhaul. Nice job.

Friendly and very helpful staff at this location. Prices are good on rentals. Boxes are over priced, but if you need a special type of box for something in your move, they will have it. I prefer their packing materials to what Lowe’s and Home Depot have. There is also a spot where you can take boxes people leave for free or leave your boxes for someone else.
Excellent service. Nice clean facility. We had a very nice salesperson named Lina that was very professional and knowledgeable about what we needed.In fact, my husband forgot and left his cell phone on the counter and she was nice enough to call and let us know.Thanks Lina for going over and beyond what was expected.God Bless you!
I rented a Uhaul for a local move on 3/22, returning it on 3/23. The charge for the truck was $29.95 for the day plus $1.19 per mile. Uhaul put a hold of $66 on my credit card which included the $29.95 plus an estimated mileage of 20 miles. on 3/23 I returned the truck, checked my mileage and I went 17 miles. I was told by a guy standing outside that I didnt need to go in to the store to return the truck, he would do it from there. Red flag, I shouldve went in. The following day, I checked my bank account and saw another $66 was taken out. I called and was told that that was the final charge and that I would get credit for one of the $66. Fine. Then my account was hit with a charge of $133. I call and speak to someone in customer service and was told that I went 60 miles! NO I DID NOT! And, even if I did, they have now charged my account $265.00!!! I dispute all of this. On 3/27, I get a call saying that they are refunding me all but the charge of $74 which is for the 17 miles plus the truck rental. THEN MY ACCOUNT GETS HIT AGAIN WITH A $74 charge!!! Now we are at $339! AND still not refund! Then the 2 charges of $66 come back but they still owe me $133. They blame my bank, my bank doesnt have it, Ive called numerous times. Today, 4/3, I call and the refund WAS NEVER DONE! I need to allow 3-5 more business days! I WILL CARRY MY STUFF ON MY BACK BEFORE I USE THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN! I WILL NOT REFER TO THEM AND I WILL CONTINUE TO TELL THIS AGGRAVATING, FRUSTRATING MESS THAT I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH! ITS NOT LIKE MOVING ISNT STRESSFUL ENOUGH! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES!

The staff is really nice and always super accommodating. They have always done a really good job hooking up my trailer safely, too.I was surprised to read some the negative reviews on here honestly. Theyre always super busy and still I have gotten great service. However, since theyre always busy maybe some people had negative experiences. But, I recommend!

I had booked a reservation at the Bethel location and was told at 8am for a 9am pickup that the truck was not available and I would have to pick up at Danbury. The person at the counter was nice and set me up with my reservation, went out to the truck, wouldnt go into gear so they needed to assign me a new truck. New truck had an incessant beeping ( like you left you lights on, but they werent) but I was late so I tolerated it. Everything went fine, dropped off the truck, spent 15 minutes taking pics on their app only to find an error at the end so it couldnt process the return. I get the bill emailed the next day with a $20 after hours drop off fee that was not stipulated in my online agreement for Bethel nor was it brought to my attention at time of rental in Danbury. I talked to the 800 number who said I would have to speak with the manager at Danbury. I sent three emails, tried calling numerous times only to be resent to the call centers and finally got a rude response three days later. The email stated he wouldnt credit me until he found out why I was charged a lesser rate than list and was complaining about other dealers not following the rules. He finally agreed to refund against his better judgement because I wasnt following the rules. Uhaul Danbury would probably do my better if they replaced Denny as their Manager being the equipment is a mess, he is rude and obviously cannot handle customers.
Staff is great! Easy pickup and drop off. Trucks work.....well. Little noise coming from the tires. But nothing out of the ordinary. AC IN TRUCKS ROCKS!

Renting with U-Haul is a hassle. Doesnt matter if you plan a week, two days, a day before or the day off they never have the right trailer available and its always located in their Bridgeport location. Bridgeport isnt convenient or local to the Greater Danbury area. Absolutely ridiculous. Theyre supposed to contact you within an hour not 45 min before pickup its over an hour away. Highly unprofessional and not very business savvy
I was looking for a very specific size box on their website but none of their locations had it. I hadnt been able to find one like at staples, walmart, etc, nor did the usps have one that wasnt exorbitant shipping flat rate. Chelsea went out to the recycling box area and poked through them and found me one that was almost exactly the size I needed. I really appreciated that she went to that extra trouble for me. Thats customer service!

Dolly broke on me during the move, took almost two hours to surrender the dolly at a nearby uhaul. Said they would refund my money 5-7 business days and it has been two weeks... Terrible experience and calling their customer service number takes forever to get to an actually person.

Understaffed, Only one person working on a Sunday. Had 1 person in front of me and waited 2 hours before i was helped. An old, mean bag lady lives in the back in one of the storage units. Used them twice and had the same experience each time.Both times I was there the staff waisted my whole day with lazy, slow and self serving attitudes.SLOW SLOW SLOW.

Very bad service. Employees had attitudes and manager was horrible and disrespectful. Called me a liar and many more. They wanted to charge me forextra stuff unfairly. They gave me a crap truck. Needed lots or maintenance.Called corporate and they were even worse. Guy over phone was very disrespectful and had no sense of customer service.

They didnt clean the vehicle before I received it and there was ice on the back steps of the cargo van which was a trip hazard
Got a hitch and electric brake controller installed. Had a wiring issues but returned a couple of days later and it was resolved.
