Im a frequent customer of Ocean State Job lots. During covid restrictions I think they did a very good job. Lately I feel that because of the shortage of workers and also the lack of distribution of certain items. There has been a bit of a lack of variety in the store not the fault of this store. I usually love their selection of teas because they come from all over and are always reasonably priced. I also love their selection of coffees and jellies and jams. I love imported jellies from France and Italy and although there hasnt been as much of a selection lately Im sure they will catch up. All in all the store has good prices and its one of my favorite places to shop. Another thing is they have a great selection of rugs.

Undoubtedly one of my favorite stores. The merchandise changes quite often so not a good place if youre looking for something specific.The food section is amazing and cheap. Typically one of the best places to buy pool supplies. If youre lucky enough to hit the plant selection in the front of the store take advantage of it. Prices are half of what home Depot charges.

Great place to browse around even if you dont know what you are looking for. You always find something you like or could use at a very reasonable price! I always get a good deal on bird food and garden supplies! Also bought a really nice Gazebo here at a fabulous price!! 🤗

Went in for a shower curtain liner and walked out with everything but said liner lolIm finally used to the new store layout and things are easy to find. Theres always something new and interesting to check out and the staff are very helpful.

Love this store, but they need more staff (especially cashiers) and if you see a food item that you love, go back for more immediately, as they may never stock it again, as has been my experience. Customer service is surprisingly good, given their need for more cashiers. Keep up the good work!

They say they have something in stock on the internet, only to find out (after a very long search around the store 2 times) they dont have them.

I found large imported bottles of capers from Italy for 5 dollars . And a brand of hyaluronic acid cream for 5 dollars after just paying 45 for the same thing the day before . Great deals

Ocean state is ocean state. If your into coffee or protein you should check there for it . The protein is the usual selection, but low priced . The coffee has a big selection and great variety

Everyone should browse this place at least once a month. Wether it be pool chemicals, lawn furniture, or odds and ends there is something for everyone. This may not be Home Depot or Macys. But the prices are right and help you get beyond the little bit of a rough around the edge decor.

Went there today and gave the cashier two $20 bills for a purchase totaling $28. 94 The cashier gave me back $1.06. I mentioned that I had just given you $40. The manager nor cashier would agree with me and they pocketed $10 on me. Oh well, just be careful counting your change when you make a purchase!

Having bought today at Ocean state over $150 worth and trapsing to danvers at night Susan gave me a very hard time. I called another Ocean State and they said she was dead wrong and to ask for the manager which I did. Only then did she say oh well here is the paper RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. I was tired enough and dont have to fight for what I need.

I used to work here for five years. I knew everything about this store. I was the guy youd come to to find stuff and I WOULD find it. But then a few months ago we got a new manager. Now thats nothing new, Id already outlasted the 4 prior but when I became the target of harassment from some customers THIS NEW GUY who professed to be someone you could vent to, some one who would back you up, some one was was all about the employees and getting stuff done, WELL he told me I couldnt come back until the issue was solved. Like what the heck? How am I supposed to get a harassment order against someone if I dont know their name? It was this immature psycho neighbor of mine and her friends who would come in to harass me because I ghosted her (AND FOR GOOD REASON). BUT instead of backing me up like he promised the MANAGER CRAIG told me I couldnt come back and all this after both giving me a promotion w/out a raise AND cutting my hours down from 40 to 15. THANKS CRAIG. I had to quit so I could try and find another job or something and now I cant even do unemployment and now I am both broke and homeless. INSIDER CARDS DONT MEAN ANYTHING UNLESS THE CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT THEY DO, CRAIG.Other than the lame management this store is one of the best. I miss working here.

Ocean State Job Lots was always one of my favorite stores! As of last week it is now my absolute favorite! They have the best prices on everything, which is great considering I need everything! I have been going here every day to purchase their Crazy Deals and returning the next day to spend my gift cards! I have gotten some really good gifts, including bluetooth speakers, cool remote controlled puck lights, hand & feet warmers and they paid me back 100% of my purchase in gift cards! I was able to get some really good gifts that were on my list, including a My Pillow and an electric hair clipper set for free!Yesterday my items didnt produce gift cards because they ran out of the remote controlled puck lights and someone put color changing ones in their place and didnt remove the Crazy Deal sign. The manager, Craig honored the price and deal for me and Susan patiently returned everything on my list and rang them all up again and I left with gift cards for my total purchase! Today I went back (3rd day in a row) and bought a winter jacket for $40 and donated it to a Veteran (a small female veteran) and I am going back tomorrow to get myself the exact same jacket for free with the gift card they gave me! There were only 2 of those jackets left and Susan is holding mine so I can grab it tomorrow! I was able to finish my shopping and purchase gifts to donate to people who are struggling this year and I want to thank Ocean State Job Lots, Craig and Susan for everything they do! I will see you all tomorrow!😊

Chock full of deals, fine selection of packaged food, such as Bobs Red Mill products and some imported items. Very helpful staff, that located some things I couldnt find on my own. Definitely worth checking out, if you havent.

Ocean state is a great place to go if you need a toaster or a coffee maker or a huge bag of bird seed. It is a fun jumble of random stuff and you can get some incredible deals if they have the thing you are looking for. Batteries, hoses, patio furniture, rugs, all kinds of random stuff. It reminds me of pick & save from when I was a kid. Definitely need to check it out for yourself. Also it is right near Savers which is a fun spot too.

A bargain hunters delight. Products can vary wildly from week to week. Some great finds here, but also some real junk. I dont think Ive ever seen the same people work here from visit to visit, sometimes they can be super friendly, sometimes they wont give you the time of day. Still a great place to roll the dice and find odd and interesting products at very low prices.

Most prices are great. Lots of different things, but some associates are not happy to help you find things.

Had to wait in line with purchases to do a return although only one cashier does returns. Why doesn’t Susan just ask if anyone is here for returns instead of making you wait 5 to 10 minutes in line
