I LOVE this store! Every time I get in a jam and I cant find some rare or arcane nut, bolt, screw, or component they have it. Seriously, if you need it and you cant find it any where, they have it. I moved out of the area and I still go there because I know I wont be disappointed.

Unreal how bad the service parts department is. Spent several thousand dollars over the years on snowblower, lawn mower string trimmers. Yet any time I need parts or service these clowns can’t provide. The clueless guy at the service desk today can’t even give me the right spark plug when one is handed to him. I am done with these jokers. HORRIBLE

I was very disappointed by the customer service I received (or didnt receive) at this place a little while back. I was looking for a few tools for a small project at my home. I asked two separate employees for assistance finding them, both of whom just dismissed my question by pointing vaguely at a different part of the store. No effort to be of any assistance. Will not be returning.

Bad/greedy management.

Today was my first trip to Danvers Hardware. My string trimmer would not start, period. Two days of cleaning and maintenance, watching countless YouTube How to... videos and lots of tearing my hair out. I called, and they said Sure, bring it in. I went to the rear service desk where I explained to the man behind the counter It just wont start.He took it and said Well, lets see...I have The Magic Touch. Good luck with that. He takes it outside the back door, fiddles with a couple controls, pulls the cord, and it ROARS to life. Sonofabitch! As my jaw hit the ground, the other gent behind the counter said Like he said...The Magic Touch.I am flabbergasted and sooo grateful!! No charge, just happy to help. This is the epitome of Top Shelf Customer Service and why I dont shop the big box stores. I will definitely be returning to Danvers Hardware. THANK YOU Mr. Magic Touch!

The customer service was great and they were very helpful.

My initial visit wasnt bad, wanted an auger belt for a snowblower and was told they didnt have it in stock and wed have to order it. Not a problem! However the next day our friend who needed the belt called the store and was told they had the part so he went and got it. The parts guy told him that he remembered me and my father coming in the day before, and that he had had a long day and didnt feel like checking for comparable numbers for the belt. So the day before when I was there hed taken our slip with the part number, went out to the stock room and stood around for a few minutes and then came back to say it wasnt in stock. And the guy was dumb enough to tell our friend about it! My family and I will NEVER shop here again after finding out about this and I will also mention it to anyone I come across. Theres better places to shop than here.
