Really cool store that’s been around since my Dad grew up around here. Ridiculously wide selection especially of vinyls. The owner is extremely nice and so is the other guy that’s been working there forever. They both are happy to crack some jokes with you and know precisely where everything is. Modern to classics they have it all and you’ll feel right at home.

This is the best record store around. We always go here first when looking for a specific album. They have a large quantity of new and old. The staff is very knowledgeable and are passionate about what they do.

I am updating my last visit here at Atlantic Sounds. I have NEVER been in a restroom that was most horrible as that one is! It looks like it was built when the building was built, and NEVER, NEVER, updated. And whats with no toilet paper and anything to dry your hands with??!! Please dont get me wrong, this is a terrific place for all forms of music and videos, but please, please, fix your restrooms for your paying customers! Thank you.

Nice store and the staff was very friendly. Mostly newer pressings but they did have some vintage stock but seemed like it had been picked over. Still a nice experience and I got some new releases I wanted. I would go back because its a record store... Duh!

Great place with a huge selection of new and used. The owner was very friendly and also searched for a record for us he was supposed to have in stock. He eventually found it. Ive never had that kind of service at a record store. Ill definitely be making the trek from Jacksonville on a regular basis. Been in business since the 80s and I hope it stays another 30+ years. Stores like this that stick around are hard to come by.

Good selection of vinyl but staff was not nice so I bought one thing and left I am from Ocala and wanted to spend more but staff was very short with me and I was very Polite but did not get that back

I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. If you are among the devoted, an avid collector, or a casual listener, they will have what you are looking for and perhaps, something that will surprise you. Atlantic Sounds is the best destination for vinyl in Daytona.

So cool to be in an actual record store again. (Yes, they also sell CDs and DVDs.) The building/store is a throwback to the indy record stores of the 1970s. Nice!New and used vinyl, 7 10 12 large selection, mainstream, local, obscure. A very large section reserved for only Record Store Day releases. I love that! Most of the used stuff I would grade sleeve G, vinyl VG++ or better.Their used record emphasis is on providing quality listening. Sleeve condition definitely effects the price, but they clearly care more about the wax than the paper when setting the price. One guy was actually snapping an album in half because it was too scratched to sell. Must have been the store owner. I spoke to three guys who were all cool, pretty knowledgeable and into vinyl.A fairly large room was dedicated to about 5000 used albums! Most were pretty beat covers, but the vinyl looked okay. Prices were set at $2, $4, $8 in this room, depending on condition and rarity. Id guess there were also about 5 or 6 thousand 45s stacked up in various size boxes in one corner. Forgot to ask how much the 45s cost.Of course, piles and piles of sleeveless 7 makes the 45s virtually impossible to look through. Youd need several hours to complete that task. I pulled the following at random: Peppermint Sunshine, M, John Fogerty, The Cadets, Third Rail, Janet Jackson, Rick Nelson, Billy Idol, and Chad & Jeremy. Obviously, this is a hodgepodge of mostly junk. Would be fun to spend a Saturday digging through it. They know what theyre doing at Atlantic Sounds, so you wont find any hidden gold in these stacks, but Im betting I could fill a few holes in my collection with G to VG platters.The good stuff was in a smaller room of its own. So called rare and M-/M- (better) copies of the same stuff in the other room can be found here. Punk, metal, jazz, soul, 50s. A few weirdo limited editions and picture disks. I bought nothing from this room. Prices vary, mostly too rich for my pocket.What I bought new: Jimmy Page pre-Yardbirds 45, Joan Jett RSD 2016 numbered/limited color vinyl EP First SessionsWhat I bought used: Turtles Golden Hits VG/M-, Scorpions Love at First Sting VG+/M-

This place was the bees knees. The gentleman at the counter is hilarious and kind. Has pleasant conversation. Huge selection of new/remastered records. You can even order music through salesman. This place has been open for 30 plus years and is a staple in the community. Only con is I didnt find much for me in the used and original section.

Perhaps the best record store Ive been to. Huge selection of new and used vinyl. You can find all of your favorite bands. Most prices were reasonable, and there was a great bargain bin selection as well. The gentlemen working there were enthusiastic and helpful.

Dont buy any used electronics from them bought a reciever worked for aout a week, then died, turntable lasted about a month then same, dead, now of course they do not offer any warranty so you are taking them on good faith that what they are selling but really, about 200 bucks flushed down the toilet and buy the way you better check the mandate from the Govenor the next time you refuse entrance over mask issues you are now in direct violation of that mandate class actions suits are very effective

Best vinyl record shop I’ve been too thus far hands down! Everything from new to used vinyl and some! The guys were very friendly and greeted me when I walked in immediately asked if there’s something I need help finding. I actually did, and they went in the back vault and dug it up for me! Prices are decent ranging from 2-8$ used and 15$ plus new! Must dig spot!

Atlantic Sounds in downtown Daytona Beach is one of the best, most organized record stores Ive ever been to! Got 28 records today in under an hour. One long sought after, Billy Squiers Dont Say No, plus a ton of other finds! Great selection of newer metal and punk, as well as hundreds of older 60s/70s/early 80s classic rock, jazz, blues, new wave, country, and pop in the $2 or $4 range. The manager there at the time, John, was very knowledgeable of punk, classic rock, and metal like me, but also knew where to find anything in the store. Their early morning opening of 9am on all days except Sunday (10am) is very appreciated by morning people like me. The best record store for miles around for sure!

This place should be a historic landmark for Daytona. It’s part of the Daytona experience. Whenever I have friends visit I take them here as well as the best local restaurants. I love this place so much I’d give it 10 stars if I could! They can find you ANYTHING!

LOVE this place. Absolutely tons of new and used music. Most of my collection is from here or inherited from my parents. Hes also competitively priced so why not support local business? Go down there and take a look around, guaranteed youll find something you forgot about but love.

Great place and so easy to navigate.All genres are well organized and their prices are very affordable. All the LPs I bought were either $2.00 or $4.00.Some Command and London Phase 4 records (early 60s looked like new).The staff is friendly and always available to answer any question.You can literaly spend hours browsing through their huge stock.I was in Daytona Beach visiting from Melbourne, FL and I wouldnt mind the 1.5 hour drive to visit the store again.

Big selection of items compared to the size of the store. A great place to get a gift for those who’s love vinyl. I saw a big range of music selection to choose from (ranging from The Beatles to Tyler, the creator CD’s). A nice gem in Daytona for sure.

Great to see a record store that sells music.becoming a thing of the past, and hard to find. Some of us still want to buy the CD or tape or record and have it physically not a download from app. And be able to look at the artwork and go through the journey the artist has prepared. I found a Weird Al album. Which is super rare, A Night at the Opera by Queen, A Clockwork Orange, 2001 A Space Odyssey, and a video game soundtrack! Amazing finds. Used records are resonably priced. New records are a bit pricey but totally worth it! Ive been going here for 7 years now. Still in love.
