Friendly service (the Owner, Kaye, is wonderful), delicious robust coffee, yummy pastries, great sandwiches. Bonus that this small business supports sustainable, woman-owned businesses. This is a lovely coffee shop and definitely worth frequenting even if you are not headed for the train.

New favorite coffee shop. Kay and her team are welcoming and attentive. Great coffee roasted in-house. Pastries made in-house too but didn’t get a chance to try yet. Took home a lb of Guatemalan roast. Worth visiting even if not going to the train. Wish I could hang our here everyday.

Great coffee and even better pastries! The Nut N Better Bars is my familys go to breakfast. I love their muffins and biscotti. The owner worked with me on a custom cookie order and I was delighted with the results. YUM!

I didnt know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a banana mango smoothie and it was very good. A good natural smoothie not at all loaded with sugar. The cinnamon twist is pretty good as well.

Food and coffee is always top notch and special. Not the usual. Freshly roasted coffee and in house baked goods. The location is in the Deerfield metra status. Get to it like you’re headed to Home Depot and then go to the far north me of the parking lot to the train station. Great for yourself or grab (or have delivered) a box for a client or meeting.

Underwhelmed. Located at the metra station. I read the previous reviews and stopped in today. Was going to try the hippie latte with chai tea/coffee, but they were out of tea. Asked for a recommendation of another blended drink or latte. The suggestion was coffee. So I ordered an ice coffee and waited for it to be prepared. It wasnt made and after about 5 minutes someone asked what I was waiting for. Not great for people who need a quick coffee before catching the trainThe pastries are all out on the counter. No sneeze guard or other case. Yuck.

The best roasted coffee, many varieties. Our favorite is Guatemalan. The lattes are so yummy, far better than local other options. You have to try it to taste the difference. They have flaky, delicious, buttery croissants, plain or chocolate.... you’ll feel like you are in Paris! The muffins, egg sandwiches, chocolate dipped biscotti are a great as a meal or treat, any time if the day. So glad we found Kaye @ The Wild Roaster ❤️

Stopped in quickly for a coffee and was surprised by all the available pastries to go with the coffee. We were so happy with everything we stopped by for breakfast the next morning too. We were greeted by the friendly owner and other happy customers. Would definitely go back again next time were in town.

What a lovely spot for a coffee, locally owned and locally roasted, this shop is like walking into your moms kitchen. The coffee is fantastic, as well as the assortment of baked goods they offer as well. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

What a fabulous owner and establishment; her level of expertise with coffee roasting and the care she puts into creative such delicious and innovative pastries (the chocolate chip and coconut filled cookie is going to be a repeat purchase for me) for her customers. The place has such a comfortable vibe and a great place to connect with the owner and hang with a friend for some coffee and food. Definitely going back!

This was the best coffee Ive had in a long time, not to mention the baked goods! The scone was literally the best Ive ever had, so much so that my partner (again, literally!) teared up biting into it. Beautiful little shop, lovely person at the counter; cannot recommend highly enough.

I stumbled upon this delicious place by accident - I was visiting my parents and needed a place to go that wasn’t Panera or Starbucks and OMG. I was blown away. The pastries are HEAVENLY - the blueberry scone is a must! I got a chai each time and loved every sip. The service and vibe was great — Can’t rate this place highly enough!

I love the warmth of this place. Being right at the door of a Metra station, Im sure these guys get busy often but the owner who roasts her coffee beans, and is also the (only) server, is a gem. I bet its not only because of the fresh coffee (literally, they make it from coffee beans roasted fresh right there) but also because of the owner that people would want to go there. Do try their samosas, theyre good. If youre lucky, you might get a cheese bagel on the house.

I was traveling for work and looking for a good coffee shop to settle at before a meeting. When I first saw that this was connected to the Metra station, I almost left because I was worried it wouldnt be a good spot to hang out at. Quite the contrary! First off, a very welcoming atmosphere. I met the roaster and we had a great chat about coffee. Second, great coffee and great breakfast sandwiches, even for a vegetarian. The arugula was a very nice touch. A lot of the ingredients for the food came from local sources. You might have to be flexible with the arrival of your food, as the train was leaving soon after I arrived, so there was an in rush of people needing coffee quickly. Just be aware of this, but everything was worth the short wait. I left for my meeting, which ended up being cancelled. However, I couldnt resist going back to buy some coffee beans from the roaster to ensure I could get more of that great coffee at home!

(AKA - The Wild Roaster) I was impressed by the house-roasted beans in this location. I had an opportunity to try the Smooth Jazz roast being used on the espresso and the dark roast, Devine Intervention, on the drip coffee. Both amazing choices. I wish this was nearby, like in Florida, but Ill just need to take a few pounds of the coffee home with me.I highly recommend making this in your fault routine. Amazing coffee, great home made breakfast and pastry options, environmentally conscious and a personable knowledgeable owner.

Pleasant staff and quick service. Definitely an easy stop when getting on the train. A nice looking pastry and and odd prepackaged food selection. However, we ordered two identical lattes at the same time and, while one of them was decent, the other had no discernible coffee flavor to speak of. I don’t know if one of the shots ended up in the wrong cup or what, but it made for a very inconsistent visit.

Coffee was good, but not top tier. I bought a bag of one of their African varietals and it was roasted too dark (the particular beans complexion would have bloomed with a lighter roast). Id say they are close to getting things just right and I look forward to testing them more in the future.

This place is awesome! Ania is one of the owners and shes great. Fresh roasted coffee, fresh baked treats, really no reason to go anywhere else. They roast 3 times a week so you know youre getting quality coffee. They do espresso, pour over, drip coffee as well as many other options. They also sell coffee bags as whole bean or grind for you on the spot. They serve food, which I did not try, but it looked very appetizing. Salads, wraps, bagels, yogurt parfaits, muffins, oatmeal, fresh fruit.. this place has it all! Overall a great experience which was made even better by Anias great personality and interesting conversation. If you like coffee make sure you this is a regular stop!
