This was our first time purchasing a vehicle from James Wood. We had a great experience and did not feel the high pressure sales. Matthew Taylor kept an eye out for a vehicle and let us know when the right vehicle came in. Matthew was very proactive and we did most of the stuff over the phone. It is a crazy market and James Wood had a better deal. It was a great experience and we would definitely buy a vehicle from James Wood again!

My Service Advisor is Carson. When I came in to get my first oil change I was on a walker and just had surgery on my knee. Carson was wonderful. He assisted me out of the car and into the waiting area! That meant so much to me. When I came back for service he was helpful once again. Yesterday I came in for another look at an issue I was having. Carson took the time to explain what the service dept had done. He is very thorough. He will even call you to explain things to you. I realize that he does not have to be nice but he is. He is kind, knowledgeable, and caring. Give Carson a raise!

Trying to buy my 22 corvette there and they want to change the deal after I have paid my earnest money. Yes charging $10,000 more because I want to trade my wifes 2021 vette in from another dealer. They may make a deal but want to have my wifes car for MSRP with $10,000 up charge for new car. He told us that the 21 they were getting us feel through and would not charge high Price -so Chase is not helping us. Waited 20 months.More later if we can get our price. Could give better review.

Buy somewhere else if you can.This dealership is “price gouging”.I went in shopping for a Silverado and after visiting with the sales representative for almost a half hour, thinking I would be able to get close to the purchase of a truck, I realized I was in a den of thieves.I have purchased numerous new vehicles and never paid the listed MSRP price and knew I would not have to do this now.When we got to the sale price of the vehicle, the salesman communicated that the sales price would be at least $3,000 to $5000 above MSRP.He tried to justify it by referring to it as a “market adjustment”, as if I was stupid enough to fall for that.Long story short, it didn’t take too long to find another dealership that was honest enough to sell me the truck I needed BELOW MSRP.Just a tip for inexperienced buyers. NEVER NEVER EVER EVER pay MSRP window sticker price for a new vehicle. You don’t have to and you’re just throwing your money away, if you do.If a car salesman tells you that there is a “market adjustment” for this pandemic that we are in, he is lying to you and you need to leave as quick as you can.That is what is going on at James Wood Chevrolet in Denton, Texas and I was sad to learn about it.I really wish I could have bought from a local dealership.

My battery died & I had it replaced at James Wood 2 years earlier. After jumpstarting my Silverado I drove to James Wood calling/alerting them I was on my way. They replaced my battery (under warranty) with a small install fee & I was on my way in less than a couple hours. Awesome service team; courteous, friendly & accommodating! Kudos!

The entire experience was great! I live over 800 miles away. I was very specific on the truck I was looking for. Melanie did virtual walk throughs with me. She made the process very easy and simple. She would send photos with daily updates on the added equipment. There were no added costs, everything was all up front and honest. When I flew in she picked me up from the airport. She was very detailed and explained everything that the truck had and could do. If you are looking for a location and staff that will make the vehicle buying process super easy then look no further.

After all the problems I had the last two times at your service center, I gave you one final try. They called me to tell me to wait to pickup my car at 5:30 so that I wouldn’t have to wait. I went to pickup my car at 6:00 and they said “it’s in the car wash”. I waited 45 more minutes. Car was not cleaned inside as was printed on my service agreement. Tire pressure STILL was not at factory recommended pressure and the car was still wet which left streak marks all over.

I walked in to James Wood about two weeks ago and a new employee working as a service advisor told me it would take a week to two weeks to have my Transmission Fluid changed out on our 2016 LT3 Z51 Corvette Coupe and he did not seem to know what the issue was with the C7 transmission fluid when the car was built. I took it in Tuesday 07/06/2021 and spoke with Edwin who knew exactly what the issue was with the C7 A8 automatic transmissions and moisture issues with the original fluid when the car was built. Edwin even checked the build date to assure me ours need to be changed. He quoted a price, took it in Tuesday afternoon, and had it completed Thursday morning 07/09/2021. :-). Comfortable, clean wait area while vehicle is having regular maintenance/service. SO wish it didnt take an hour + each visit --- but, I suppose, thats the nature of the beast. Appreciated the car wash VERY much - would have chosen to have the black trim along the bottom wiped clean as well. Im short so I notice that area more than most folks :) ... All Wood employees were gracious, polite. Toilet is convenient. Thank you for having water and snacks available. LOVE that I can use my GMRewards for payment!!!

From the initial communication all the way to signing the paperwork, we couldnt have asked for a better experience. My husband spoke with William Youngblood over the phone and they scheduled a time for us to come check out the vehicle. William had it pulled out front for us, and we went for a test drive. The fastest and most direct sell of a vehicle I have ever experienced. Sheldon did a great job. There was another person looking at the vehicle I wanted. I was not going to get in a bidding war, but I wanted the truck. Sheldon was moving very fast to make sure that I didnt loose it if the numbers matched what I needed financially. Each time I come to the service department for oil change or repairs the team here is always very polite and helpful. This trip I was in for oil change and had a strange noise I wanted looked at. My agent explained that they were very busy on Monday (Memorial Day) and due the rain the techs prefer not to listen for noises with rain due to road noise with the weather. I asked her if I could leave it and have the techs look at it on Tuesday, she said that would be great. Monday afternoon a technician called and had a chance to drive my car in order to diagnose the noise. They diagnosed my car and had the parts Tuesday morning and I was able to pick my car up by noon. Katie contacted me after I had been looking online. We went out to the dealership the first time and Chris let us drive the Traverse. We werent quite ready to purchase because we were dealing with insurance and waiting for payment. Tammy, the Service Advisor was amazing. She was very courteous, attentive and addressed all of my needs. I was at first skeptical, as I usually am with taking my Corvette to a different dealership for service in hopes that I dont get ripped off, uphold on services that arent essential for a low mileage vehicle, etc. Tammy did the exact opposite, which was addressing my needs in the best possible manner. Best service advisor that Ive ever dealt with. The customer service representatives up front were phenomenal. Very welcoming and service savvy and not just transactional as many are. He was arrogant, talked down to us and didn’t seem to know what he was talking….and frankly treated us like children. Brought my car in for service because it started to shake while idle and the engine and StabiliTrak lights came on. Advisor called gave the diagnosis and told me it would be about $395 to fix the issue, I said to go ahead with the service. This afternoon I went to pick the car up and both lights were still on!Update 6/5/21: Took the car in next morning, they checked it again and the technician said there was a valve leaking. Valve was replaced and car is running great so far.

We brought car in for “shift to park” error message and when I received car, the panel was not flush anymore and damage to center console panel (indented scratches). Paper I had left in my car were thrown around the passenger seat, car was not given in condition l left it in. Was told by manager panel would be fixed. Panel that wasn’t flush was fixed but scratched panel was simply polished. Scratches still present.

When I shopped at James Woods their flexibility on finance options and vehicle availability were great. Buddy is an easy to work with salesman who deserves an award for his customer service which I consider elite. I noticed an issue with my vehicle a few weeks after I picked it up. The cost was in excess of 750$ for repairs. Buddy talked to his boss and they covered it at NO COST to me! That’s amazing and worth my time and my money. Average service at retail prices. After replacing the battery on my 2017 corvette, the car wasreleased to pickup. Since the battery was installed in the rear of the car, i opened the rear hatch to find the battery cover and access covers were not installed properly. I pointed this out to my service consultant and she promptly had it completed properly. The tech who did the work then said my bad .A great way to check your work!

I bought my truck a few months ago. It was raining the day I did so bring it back to go thru make ready..ok. 2 weeks later I had to call and find out why I have not been contacted to schedule. Finally got it scheduled and got my truck cleaned up. A few weeks later later had a check engine light come on. So bought the extended warranty but to my surprise they did not cover repair. Maintenance. I have had 2 more check engine light come on but again maintenance. I am took my truck In for 1 and asked to have remote start added. After 5 days they came back to tell me warranty doesnt cover repair and it will be 300..ok fine get me my truck back. Have all parts instock and will be ready that day. Nothing. I called and left message but nothing.. waiting 1 more hour and finally talked to manager and told me that the repair was done but remote start was waiting for approval give me a few min and i will pick up my truck after being without it for almost a week. You dont buy a 3/4 ton truck to drive a 1/2 ton that cant pull or haul. Very disappointed

The salesman was polite and friendly, and financing was a similar experience! Normally Id give a 5-star, however, when the paperwork was initially processed, a couple of very expensive optional choices were made on my behalf. In a twist of fate, it was bad credit that saved me 6000 dollars of expenses. I dont know if this was a clerical error or on purpose, but its critical to make sure no optional decisions are made without the consent of the customer, as thats directly tied to the reputation of the company.
