Every time Im in Detroit, I gotta swing by. This trip I just wanted some seasonings, I was gonna get more but I forgot my ice chest. Not a mistake Im going to make again, believe me! The selection and service is classic old school. You owe it to yourself to stop by. Ive been here when they are roasting a pig out front.

I have been coming here for 20 years now. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The prices are the best youll ever find, and the meat is fresh. I cant say that Ive ever had a bad experience here. I bought a slab of New York strip steaks for 35 dollars and I got 21 steaks out of it. I had them cut 1/2 inch thick. You cant beat that price. Also, I bought a beef roast for 30 dollars and I got 4 huge roasts out of it. I recommend Kaps to everyone. Especially those with children. You can spend 200 dollars and eat for a month. I love you guys

Great selection, very clean meat, you can tell the employees know what theyre talking about. Really nice guys, grabbed some fresh chicken (the bins were empty) and ended up with 2 large bags of legs for $6. Love it.

I always have Christmas dinner and traditionally we serve Prime Rib. Each year I come to Kaps to select a full size Prime Rib roast (7 Ribs appox. 25 lbs.) Each year the guys find me a superior roast. I have never had anything but the best from Kaps. Their pork ribs and Amish chickens are also excellent.

Meat quality bad. Gave away sixty plus dollars of low tough meat.

Always have ordered and have gotten my pigs from here for my pig roast parties. Always receive great communication. The people working here have never given me any problems, I recommend them and will continue to be a client of theirs.

Went to the market for some dinner selections and i found a great selection of meats, polite, friendly workers. Great service!!

They have whatever you want at a reasonable price. If they dont have it on hand they will go in back and cut it for you.

I was pretty dissapooitned in the retail store. I have seen Kaps high quality as vendors but their storefront was extremely dissapointing and concerning. I saw green mold on steaks. I saw old, gray meat. I was not pleased at all. I would not buy from their retail store.

Have shopped here for almost 20years, good quality meats at reasonable prices.

I called about veal, I never tried it and the lady said they dont have veal. So I told her on their website it say they have it. She puts me on hold and never gets back to me.
