Today my daughters and I were in the store shopping for a mid to high end kitchen faucet and some pendant lighting for our kitchen remodel. Not one of the three people that we saw there acknowledged us. Two gentlemen behind the counter one was to busy on his cell phone to look up. There was one other customer in the store who was being helped by a female sales associate. I dont think I would ever go back to this store. We ended up at Fergusons and were greeted right as we got there and we found everything we needed there with better selections. Customer service is key for a brick and mortar business and first impressions are important to me. It shows what kind of service we will get from you as a business and as a consumer.

Wow, I love Lighting Design! What a great selection of fixtures to choose from. I was especially impressed after working with their online customer care team. The representatives are always so quick to address any questions/concerns of mine and the level of professionalism/knowledge that they obtain is a delight to work with. After speaking with them, I was able to make my online purchase with sheer confidence. If you want to support small/local companies, this is definitely one to shop people.

We went here to find new fixtures than the options our builder provided and we found some amazing fixtures. Whenever we have guests over at our home, almost everyone asks where we got our lights from. I also didn’t realize they sell furniture and decor as well. They have an amazing selection, especially if you’re looking for an alternative to RCWilley, Zgallerie, and etc, that is really good quality.

This is the second time I have used Lighting Design. Love their products and their employees are so helpful. I worked exclusively with Ben Hedrin and he was great. He went way out of his way to accommodate my schedule. I was choosing fixtures for an entire apartment building and he really knew his stuff and what fixtures would work well together. He kept me notified of the shipment progress and arrival date. Definitely a positive experience. I will use Lighting Design (and Ben) every time.

Our office suffered some damage to a lighting fixture following an earthquake. I reached out to Lighting Design, hoping to acquire replacement parts. Sydney looked into it and informed me that the fixture had been discontinued. I thanked her for looking. Later, she reached out to me again and told me that she located what I needed after contacting the manufacturer. I am so grateful. She went the extra mile and provided me with service that was beyond my expectations. Customer service at its finest!

I’ve been going to lighting design for my housing needs for the last couple of years and worked very closely with Brandon! He always helps me find the perfect new addition to my home. If anyone is looking for a reliable place to go, I would recommend here.

The selection was good. Three prices were higher than other places we looked at. The customer service summed a bit snooty, turned me off. The bright side was the help we recieved with cabinet questions. Her was great! Full disclosure, we did buy two lights on their clearance side.Update: Added a star. My wife told me that I was probably in a bad mood because I was spending money, she lived the service both times she was there. :-)

We came in twice, the first time, just browsing and then a week later, after looking at numerous other lighting stores and still not finding what would work for our master bath remodel. Drew helped us both timesand when I explained my design dilemma and pulled up a photo of the vanity and tiles for our project, he was able to direct me right to a set of lights that were perfect and that tied into the tile design on our floor. Next, because these were clear glass globes and would look best with a vintage style bulb, he was able to find me the right bulbs to give me the more white light I wanted, yet not so bright that they blinded me. He spent time letting me try various bulbs to see what would work. This wasnt a large sell for him, but he helped me like I was a repeat customer. I have to say also that I found their selection and prices to be even better than other stores, including the home improvement giants. Highly recommend this lighting store. If you walk in and start browsing, be patient until a service representative can greet and help you. I promise, youll get their full attention. I found the initial browse time relaxing and helpful in my process - to really see what the different lights had to offer and it helped me to better give feedback to Drew. I have read some of the reviews on here and I think that anyone who takes offense at not being greeted right away is not giving into the creative process of the browse.

We wanted a ceiling fan that, among other things, had a reversible function on the remote (we have a vaulted ceiling). Working with them, we ordered a fan. Since it was two weeks to delivery, I googled the user guide: it said that the Reverse switch was on the fan, not the remote. We called to confirm that the fan had a reversible remote function and was told it did. Well yesterday the fan arrived and, guess what, it did not have a remote reversible function. After 20 minutes of screwing around, we were issued a refund. And we wasted two weeks.

I love the people who work at Lighting Design, theyre so helpful and willing to go WAY above and beyond for a customer. I saw a light in a random office of a customer, and I didnt know the brand or anything about it except that I loved it and one of the women (Ill find her card and update the review) gave me her cell number and said text me a picture and Ill find these lights for you. Seriously awesome!

I like to come to this place to check out the clearance section and the main show room. They have some awesome deals on light fixtures and when something is discontinued the slash the prices drastically. They have everything you need for your lighting needs. I will keep coming here again. If you are looking to get the latest fixtures you should expect to pay a little more so be warned.

They have a good selection of lights. But their customer service is terrible. Every time we have been in there they act annoyed to be helping us. And after we ordered some lights, they said they were “in stock” and would take three days, but “we will call you”. They never called. We had to follow up after three weeks.We have more lights to order, but we will be ordering those from someone else…

We ordered some specialty lighting and this was a great place to shop from. They had what we needed, which is very difficult to find, and they treated us well with good customer service. We will definitely return for future orders.

They have a nice selection of lighting, but the sales staff isnt very helpful at all. I told the woman at the desk what I was looking for, and she just printed out a fact sheet from the website for me. I asked her if it was in the showroom - it wasnt. She mentioned they had some other things from the brand, but didnt offer to show them to me. When I asked about a certain style, she gestured vaguely to a different part of the showroom and told me there might be some over there. Very disappointed in the customer service. Will be looking elsewhere for lighting.

The showroom is nice with a decent selection.We came in and shopped the entire store and not even one of the six or so employees ever greeted or looked at us. Not even a simple hello!!! After finding two potential fixtures, we went to the sales counter and watched four employees clacking on their computers and playing on their phones. Not even one of them looked up or aknowleded we were even there. I cleared my throat a few times to try to get even one of them to look up, none of them did. After NEARLY FIVE MINUTES of watching them COMPLETELY IGNORE US we left. This was the saddest customer service I have ever experienced. Pitiful. I could understand if they were busy with customers, but we were the only shoppers in the store!We ended up going to Lighthouse and they were awesome! They greeted us immediately, were friendly and helpful. We ended up buying a $400 fixture from them.Lighting Design seriously needs to train their staff to aknowledge and communicate with customers! You lost a potential customer and got this one star review as a result of your lousy, non-existent customer service.

We purchased a fan from here the beginning of June. After we installed it, we noticed a noise when we turned it on. My fiance called the next day to ask if it was normal to be making a noise such a loud noise. They said no and they would reorder the fan and have a replacement for us within a couple weeks. We never received the replacement. My fiance called several times to check when we should be expecting it. We are now in September, three months later we finally just gave up... Im sure the warranty has expired now so probably nothing we can do. It is very pretty, but we dont use it since its noisy when the fan is turned on. Very dissatisfied.

Upon a recommendation from our electrician we went to Lighting Design to check out their pricing and products for our new home. Upon walking in, Jenna Cole asked to help us. I had already ordered some Feiss fixtures from Home Depot that I loved and needed outdoor fixtures. I told her about the Feiss fixtures and she said let me see what I can do. She came in lower than Home Depot! And all of the other fixtures were priced very reasonably, of which we were very surprised. Being in the construction business we know how much mark up is usually on lighting fixtures, not Lighting Design. Jenna has been fantastic to work with, she is very knowledgeable about the products and pricing, always returns my call or answers my email promptly. I hope her employers realize what a gem she is!!

Building a house and have met with Mike several times making lighting selections. His product knowledge is excellent and he truly cares about exceeding his customers expectations.

Been there a few times. For 2 of them we pulled up about an hour before closing only to have them lock the door as we pulled up because they decided to close early. The other time they seemed to have a lot of people working in the store but it was still difficult to get one of them to help us. Nice showroom and no issues with the lights weve purchased there, but still a disappointing experience.

Went to pick up an order my husband placed. They had everything ready for me and carried it to the car for me. So nice. The lamps look awesome.

I have a beautiful five light chandelier that I bought 8 years ago. It was a Murray Feiss and quite expensive. The line is now discontinued and I need to replace one of the glass shades that was broken accidentally. I called an online retail store and they said they could order the shade from Feiss but it was going to be quite expensive. I then called Lighting Design and they offered to call to see if he could order it from Feiss. Later that day, they called and said they could. It ended up cheaper than ordering it from the online retailer. I appreciated them taking the time to call the manufacturer in order to get it for me. I love the chandelier and now will get to enjoy it for many more years! Excellent customer service!

Great selection, great staff, but pretty steep on the price. You have to ask for the books behind the counter that have options that won’t break the bank.

BAD! Not only do they mark up their prices way to much but they have VERY bad customer service I worked with three different girls and they didnt know anything about their product and kept giving me three different prices! I had to keep going back because they kept selling me the wrong product. Overall $$$$, poor staff.
