This is what a local coffee shop should be like. Quirky decorations, different seating arrangements, comfy relaxed vibe, smooth music... and awesome coffee and tea. The baristas are also very friendly and use your name as though youre a good friend. There are also lots of places to bring a laptop and work. There is a huge ornate table and mirror that is worth the visit alone. And make sure to visit the restrooms to see the Vendetta mural along the way.

These guys were packed each time we went in for the dove days we stayed in Durango, but they were amazing everytime. We didnt even try to go to another coffee shop because when you find something good, you stick to it. The service was incredible and the drinks were even better. Also loved the atmosphere!

A lovely coffee shop with an equally lovely atmosphere. I just love the decor and the entire vibe. We enjoyed our coffees and pastries.Theres plenty of seating available. Its a great place to enjoy coffee with a friend or work on your laptop for the morning. There was a good mix of people there for work and people their to socialize. Theres also stylish outside seating available.

Such a fun atmosphere with great comfy inside couches, dining tables, lounge chairs and also an awesome outside “terrace” with a few comfy chairs and table! Cold brew was on point as well as the gluten free Morning Glory muffin!

Atmosphere incredible. The toffee-nut iced coffee wasn’t amazing but it was fine/good. Water available, beautiful decorations and lots of space for seating.

Great coffee shop. Best cold brew I had on our road trip from PA! Almost tasted like it was brewed with espresso beans, just delightful. We also tried the sunrise burrito and blueberry muffin. Delicious! Friendly staff and simple menu (not overwhelming). Would return next time we are in Durango.

Lots of indoor and outdoor covered seating. Relaxed vibe and old person rug/ old book store vibe, but with lots of space. Good coffee and you can get real ceramic mugs and espresso cups which makes it way tastier than chain coffee places. I noticed that the outdoor seating was wheelchair accessible which was an added touch that the neighboring business didnt do to their seating.

Good vibe, nice people. The London Fog is excellent.Unfortunately cleanliness is really pretty atrocious. None the tables were cleaned, lots of flies, crumbs and debris all over the floor.

Cool spot. Great decor. Friendly staff. Average Coffee (I’ve only had their black coffee). Great culture. Durango natives of every walk of life come here, which is cool to see. Been here twice about one month apart. My biggest complaint is that it’s dirty. I don’t think they do much cleaning. Lots of crumbs and stains and flies. Fly’s will land on you the whole time you are here.

Its all about the coffee. This place does not disappoint. I highly recommend that you stop in and enjoy this shop. It is so homey and friendly, and relaxing too.The seating is a collection of things that you might find in your living room, couches and chairs. Its so comfortable to just sit and enjoy your coffee.The shop owner was also so friendly and helpful in explaining some of the items on their menu.My party had a specialty espresso drink, a coffee, and one of their smoothies. Our drinks were made cheerfully and with much attention to detail. And the flavor was as you would expect. Delicious.Durango certainly has a lot of choices for your coffee experiences, but this is certainly one that you should take in.I live on the road and seek out interesting coffee shops for my caffeine enjoyment. You wont be disappointed.

The mountain breakfast burrito and black ice tea gave me all the energy I needed for a long day of hiking and photography. The DCC is a great location to start your day, or to even spend your day as they have plenty of space to work and relax both indoors or outside in their parking spot patio.

The Durango Coffee Company is a stylish and welcoming space with carefully prepared third wave coffee a diverse menu and a friendly, engaging and delightful staff. They roast their beans locally, just a few miles away. Their baked goods, snacks, and quiches are decadent and delicious and they have plenty of gluten free options as well. Its evident that the baristas at the DCC pour love and attention to detail into their craft, and the tourists and locals love to linger the atmosphere they create!

5 stars. Im so glad the original Durango Coffee Company is back in its original location and better than ever! The coffee is elevated, the decor is beautiful and many friendly faces are back. Try it, you wont be sorry! Also, try their homemade chai... delicious.

We spent the night in Durango on our way back from the Grand Canyon.I looked up the highest rated coffee shop in Durango in the morning and this was it.Inside is very large and spacious, with beautiful decor.But that is where the good ends.I ordered a vanilla latte, but they were out of vanilla.As a coffee shop owner for 15 years, running out of vanilla is not allowed. This is something that should never happen in a coffee shop. But such is life, things happen.I got a brewed coffee instead. It was ok. Not great, but not bad.My wife got an Americano. It was weak and flavorless and she did not drink it. She ended up pouring it out later.Sadly, their pastry case was nearly empty, even though it was not busy when we were there. I looked behind the counter and they had plastic bins full of pastries as supplied by their vendor - sitting on the floor.Not the best place for pastries. That isnt where Id keep food I intend to sell to customers. There were two employees on shift, neither were busy, but they left the pastry case empty and the food on the floor.We ended up sitting at a table near the espresso bar.One of the employees accidentally dumped about five pounds of ground coffee on the floor that was stored in a plastic trash bag.Again, as a coffee shop owner, it is just pure laziness to pre-grind a days worth of coffee in advance, and then keep it in a trash bag.Terrible operations management...This is a neat location, but our experience was poor.Ill try the second highest rated place next time I go to Durango.Based on other reviews, Im guessing our experience was not typical.Beware - your mileage may vary.

Their coffee drafts they make in house are amazing. Im a big fan of the honey lavender cold brew! They have a great atmosphere and even when the line is long, the employees always have a smile just for you when it is your turn to be served.

Friendly staff with a very comfortable interior. Bathrooms are downstairs. In the middle of downtown Durango. For some reason a big part of the shop is closed off just for viewing.

Quick stop 2nd visit in three yrs...

If you are going to a coffee shop for the atmosphere this one is perfect. It is so cozy and welcoming. The staff was very kind and professional. I was not the biggest fan of the coffee, and I think part of that is I got hemp milk in the coffee (I normally put oat milk). They only had hemp milk and coconut milk as alternative milks. My husband got a vanilla latte and enjoyed it. If we are ever passing through Durango again I will definitely stop by and try something different.
