I have nothing but positive things to say about Shamus, Steven and Ronald over at Performance Ford. Service staff very courteous...other than that get your work done elsewhere. Extremely expensive. My lug nuts warped due to water damage. Dealer charged me $240 for new ones without telling there would be a charge for it. (I have a Lincoln too with the issue and the Lincoln dealership fixed it without any hesitation or charge)

The dealer seems to have nice people. The manager was upset when I told them I felt they were over priced. They’re online price, window price, tagged price, and actual price are all different. This was due to fees not explained online. It definitely would’ve been a fair deal if online price was honored. Below is the proper breakdown at the time of my visit.Online price: this price was a low price that states the CPO certification is included at this price. This is not the case when shopping here. This is to draw you in.Window price: this is the price that they say the vehicle is worth and is posted in the window. This is to make it seem like you’re getting a better deal.Tagged price: this is the price on the tag that says the price of the online price. However, it excludes the CPO certification that says it’s included online. This now makes the price more, and is explained after you get there.Actual price (out the door price): this is the price when you have them break everything down. This has the price they’re willing to do (slightly below tagged price), the CPO attached (at an additional cost), and all the usual taxes/fees.Other issues I had while thereThe parking lot is small and defiantly hard to get around in. This is likely due to construction and doesn’t seem to be their fault.They bounce the vehicles from one location to another trying to get the highest price they can. They tell you it’s due to requiring a certain amount of vehicles on the lot. Carfax shows it being bounced at different prices over the last two years for the vehicle I was looking at. This includes when it was new and used.When going to this dealer I would expect to spend more than listed online. I’d call and ask if the price includes the certification. Ask about all additional fees. Do all of this before you go.

Bought a 2019 Edge SEL. Salesman Steve Riecker was very nice and knowledgeable. He arranged an excellent demonstration of how to use the info center and other technology in the car. The next day after purchasing, I noticed the car was missing a rear all weather mat. Steve arranged to get me the correct mat quickly. Pretty good dealership. I leased my 2019 F-150 Lariat from Performance, and the sales experience was excellent. Primary reason, as an experienced car lease/buyer I did all my research prior to entering the dealership. Therefore, the deal I received was reasonable; these guys matched my numbers with little haggling (still some, but that is to be expected). Exact vehicle match was found at another dealer and delivery was smooth. For my first service, oil change, process was smooth and professional, no complaints!

I prefer to have my car worked on by the dealer. This is the first time I have been back to this location in over a year due to an experience I had previously with the original owners. I noticed it was under new ownership and wanted to give it a try. This was quite a different experience. No pressure sales and just plain old fashioned good service. Only thing I have to say is that they should change the signage on their door. The arrow points you to the service area instead of letting you know that is the door you enter. Not a deal breaker but just a bit confusing. Yes, I will continue to use their services.

I want to share my experience with the Performance FORD East Hanover, New Jersey dealership. My first call was warmly received by Zak Assaf. He found out and provided me with information about the car, gave me a full layout for the price and we made an appointment for a test drive. I had a couple of days before my appointment, and since this was my first experience of buying a car in the US, there were a lot of questions about the registration (given that there was a COVID-19 quarantine), etc. I called Zak many times and he answered all my questions patiently and politely. As a customer, I was very pleased with such attention and responsiveness. The meeting on the test drive was great. I really liked the car and bought it.Once again, I would like to thank you for your service at the FORD East Hanover, New Jersey dealership.As for the car.As for the car.Externally, the car was prepared perfectly!It feels like it really was a new car.It even seemed to have been polished!I cant imagine how you can prepare a car like this!I checked it from below, where the bottom is – it was as clean as in the cabin and in the engine compartment!But why would I put a 4-minus on the car?First, the brakes. Ive been using the car for almost a month and a half, driving 60 miles to and from work every day. Until now, the front pads are still whistling when braking, although the pads are new. As I was told by the master, this is either cheap Chinese pads or poor-quality installation on the part of the dealer. Ill be driving for another month. If they dont get used to it, Ill change it. Thats an extra $ 100.The second (and this is a more serious problem) is the clutch. The car is equipped with POWERSHIFT automated transmission. Its advantages are a great fuel economy! Now I spend half as much on gas as I used to with my old Honda. Among the disadvantages – an extremely slow start and weak grip. The mileage of the car when purchased was only 42.5 thousand miles. But the clutch at the start starts to twitch and the car starts jerkily. This begins to manifest itself when driving for a long time in a city with traffic lights or when leaving the highway, i.e. when the transmission warms up. Sometimes you can hear the clutch forks switching when the Windows are open.Now Im more or less used to using it to reduce or prevent twitching, but this is the first sign that the clutch will have to be repaired in the future.When we bought it, we paid almost $ 1,400 for an annual package that includes a warranty on the main components, including the transmission. I hope this also includes the electronic unit TSM, which is responsible for shifting gears.At the end of the year, I will definitely use this package and go to the nearest FORD dealership in new York to repair the clutch. If I am told that this problem is not included in the paid package, I will definitely unsubscribe here so that the next buyers do not pay for possible fraud on the part of an official FORD dealer. It would not be nice for the greatest company to do this to its customers!In the meantime, I recommend this dealership. Good luck! Buy made in America!

Today it was the first time I leased a car. I did it in Performance Ford of East Hanover NJ. Zak Assaf was the Sales Rep. He was Excellent, very professional and knowledgeable about the cars, trustworthy, not pushy and the final price was exactly as negotiated (I didn’t have last-minute surprises). He made a very pleasant buying experience, as well as the rest of the staff I dealt with. I will definitely buy again from him. 100% recommendable.

I am very disappointed! Back in July 2020, when I’ve got my Nissan salesman Zak Assaf offered me a deal which was $1500 down payment + first month + registration fee. I accepted it. Then I signed a contract and a lot of other documents. Few days later, I noticed that dealership charged my credit card $1800, instead of $1500. I called them and their explanation was I had signed the contract for $1800 and Zak said that he never talked about $1500. This is an absolute lie. I know I have made mistake because I didn’t double check the contract but I used to trust Nissan because this is my third car. And I never had any problems like that before! I paid for this mistake! Just warn you, be very careful, do not trust their words as I did. This is my last Nissan and I do not recommend this dealership!

I’ve had my car serviced at Performance Ford a few times now and the experience has been great every time. The staff keeps it simple by being professional and courteous.

They give great service and are fair. For instance, I asked if I should just get all new tires when I punctured one on a nail to keep them even. They said, ya know I could sell you tires, but you have about 70% tread and Id hate for you to waste them, and they should run fine that way. That earned my loyalty--these are pros and just good guys.

I was looking for a Specific Ford F-150 for 4 months. Along the way nothing but aggregation and getting lied to by every salesman that I spoke to. When I finally found the 2018 Ford F-150 at Performance Ford, I was immediately in contact with a salesman Jorge at this dealership. Nothing but professional and quick responses on all my requested information. Decision was made within hours of speaking to him and deal was as smooth as could be.

Very disorganized. Did not complete the purchase of a new truck according to my instructions. Upon delivery, truck was incomplete. The service appointment to complete the truck was a series of unfortunate events. Service department is even less knowledgeable and efficient. An appointment that should have taken hours took days. The dealership then charged exorbitantly high labor fees. Sad that Ford allows this decay to continue.

There was absolutely no pressure here the manager did come over and resolved what no other dealer could. My experience at Performance Ford of East Hanover was wonderful and pleasant. I was able to test drive the car, by driving to my home in Irvington, 40 minutes away from the dealership. The sales person was new and was willing to accept assistance from other sales persons. His ability to learn was excellent and he was honest. He was able to show me the different functions of the vehicle. I pray he has a great employment history with the company.

Ryan made our recent purchase a pleasure. He was very knowledgeable and responsive to all of our requests. He made the experience easy and enjoyable. I dont know how the rest of the salesmen operate but I can speak for my experience with Ryan and I will absolutely return and ask for him when its time for our next purchase. This has been the worst customer service and repair experience Ive ever had. My truck has been at their shop since June 6th. Within these couple of months Ive had five different service reps work with me. The first three were either fired or left. When I called to find out information about my vehicle Paul said Shane (who was the third guy on the job) didnt show up to work and didnt call so hes not sure whats going on. They have been completely unprofessional and unreliable. The only reason Ive left my car there as long as I have is because they started the repair and stopped due to backed up shipment, but its been nearly four months and Im still waiting on my car. They did not provide me a courtesy vehicle for two and a half months until the fourth guy on the job finally asked me to come in and get a car.I will never ever return to this ford dealer and will certainly never recommend it to anyone.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I came in to test drive a car. The initial setup was easy, and the car was exactly what I wanted. I needed to discuss with my wife and as soon as I got home I had a few questions. I wrote the sales person an email and they were not providing me the answers I wanted, so I asked to speak with a sales manager. That person called me and I couldnt answer. I called back within the hour and left a message. This was all on a Monday. The sales manager texted me saying hed call at a specific time which I agreed to...no call. The next day he did the same exact thing...no call. I then called on Thursday and asked for a new sales person to speak to and they put me in touch with the original person who set up the test drive. She said Ill have the sales manager call you right away...you guessed it...no call. So Friday I call back and ask for the general manager...general manager doesnt call me...the sales manager who I was supposed to speak to finally does. All I needed was a few question answered to buy the car, and what he tells me over the phone is sorry, someone just bought this car, it is unavailable.The lack of customer service was something I have never experienced before. Ive been waiting for that specific car for a few years now, and they ruined it. It was an absolute shame and I will never be going back.

Very friendly. Got car booked in for service within a few hours of requesting an appointment. Waited whilst it was being done, there was coffee and refreshments available for us in the waiting room.
