Well its a big box store now. They have what ya need, when you need right now....otherwise I order my parts.

Dont ask for a spark plug socket whatever you do. The guy working was absolutely baffled by this. Not a good sign. Prices are above average for the area, and its always good to be ignored when youre standing at the counter and theres an employee right there, doing nothing but sitting and looking at her phone

Customer service is awesome! Manager Nicole goes out of her way to make sure your parts are right. Team members Joshua (evenings) and Josh (days/commercial) are always receptive to your needs and will take the time to discuss and find the right parts. I come to the Hastings store because they are personable, receptive and attentive to my needs. Id recommend Advance Auto over any of the other automotive parts stores!

With the weather change, it quickly became obvious I was having a battery issue. Farm & Fleet told me I would need to wait a week for an appointment to replace my battery, which didnt seem like a great plan. This location told me to come in and provided the battery was easily accessible they could help me without an appointment. Adam was awesome and got my battery installed quickly despite the cold weather. Thank you for the exceptional service!

Ordered a part promised to get a call when it arrived called at noon the day it was supposed to be there they said it had been there all morning but I have to hurry cuz they close at one terrible communication and did nothing to help figure it out

Usually the staff here is great...i usually just talk to Fong who is not only kind but also knowledgeable about auto parts and auto issues. Last time i was there the guy who helped me was rude. He not only acted like i was a bother... he also took a phone call in the middle of looking parts up for me and then rather than finish my transaction he started looking up parts for whoever was on the phone and blatenly ignored me. There were others who could have answered the phone. After standing there quite put off for a few min i just walked out. How can customer service be that horrible? Makes me not want to shop there anymore.

Best customer service experience Ive ever had at an auto parts store. I placed an order online to the Brackett location inadvertently because the AAP website failed to tell me that store was already closed when I was checking out. I needed some other things that were in-store specials, so I drove here to get those. Josh helped me out quickly, and even helped me get the parts that I ordered to the wrong store immediately, saying he would take care of the order at the other store when they opened the next day. Great service, Ill be sure to be back.

Great service, knowledgeable staff willing to impart their know how and will even help install some little things. They rent specialty tools (you pay the retail price, use it, then bring it back and get a full refund if the tool is in working order.)

Ive been to a number of Advance stores and this one was by far the most off putting. The clerk was unhelpful and did nothing to allow me to use my rewards points, even though I was actively trying to access them while checking out. If I wanted a mechanized system I wouldve gone online.

This has been on my mind recently, sitting here on a Sunday afternoon with nothing better to do I figure Id share my experience with those willing to read, hopefully one of which is the manager or someone higher up in the chain. This has nothing to do with the quality of product in the store, I dont want anyone to be reprimanded, I dont want store credit or a follow up phone call, it is solely due to a change of policy that has costed a customer of 10 years to walk away along with any future referrals.This happened back in January or February, after the cold snap that managed to successfully kill the batteries in both of my personal vehicles, my work vehicle, my lawn mower and skidsteer that I use to plow, and my girlfriends vehicle. I believe my roommates truck battery was also replaced. Im not sure if I had that coming or if I had the worlds worst luck but at about $100 to $150 a piece for new batteries I was looking at a significant amount between all of them.I had to have a coworker give me a ride this day because I had no vehicle to make the drive with. Up until this point I had always recommended Advance to everybody, youre either waiting in line for 2 hours at Orielys while one person cashiers and the rest hide in the back, or you go to Advance and get what you need figured out quickly and with good customer service.The battery I needed was $150, but there was a used one for $50 that was a bit taller and slightly different dimensions. Since my vehicle wasnt there I couldnt just go outside and see if it fits, so I asked the guy working if I could buy it, and if for some reason it didnt fit bring it back and have to buy a new one. He tells me no, they dont do returns on the used batteries. I told him that I wont even take the plastic caps off, that I just need to set it in the slot and make sure it doesnt hit the hood. He follows up by giving me the same reply back, we dont do returns on used batteries, we actually dont do any returns on electronics anymore. I then asked him if I could buy the new version of that battery, see if the new battery cleared the hood, and if it did return it and buy the used one, since they dont do returns on the USED batteries. He stared at me for a bit then said come on, dont play that game. I asked him one more time if he was sure he couldnt help me out and he stood by what he said. I thanked him and told him I would go buy one from AutoZone right down the road, and Ive never stepped a foot back in there since that day.This particular employee didnt know my backstory on why I wanted that used one so bad, didnt know how long Ive been a customer for, didnt know how many people Ive got to buy from their stores over the many competitors in the area, and Im afraid he didnt have much for common sense either. I was a paying customer one way or another, wether it was that used battery or coming back and buying a new one at full price. If this policy is correct and he followed it correctly, then the lack of common sense extends to those in management.If you havent been to AutoZone yet, I recommend them. I shared this story with one of their managers and he couldnt believe it. Their customer service is on par with Advance and their store is set up basically the same way.
