I have been here twice so far and have loved it both times! The cupcakes are absolutely delicious and beautiful. The inside of this restaurant is so cozy and cute! There was practically no wait at all, because the cupcakes are pre-prepared. This doesn’t make them any less delicious, though. They also sell a vegan cupcake, and full sized cakes. Overall an amazing little place, and they have a discount for SIUe students. Definitely would visit again!

I visited The Cup in Edwardsville today to pick up an order for 18 cupcakes. I was required to wear a mask even though I stated and had proof of being vaccinated for COVID-19. This denies science, logic, and common sense. Ive been to many hardware and grocery stores, along with Walgreens without wearing a mask. No one has challenged me.

Their cupcakes are sinfully delicious. Cake is so moist, it just melts in your mouth. The frosting is perfectly smooth, yet not flat, and not too sweet. Try their sugar cookies too!!

I had them do the cupcakes for my wedding. Emily is the wedding coordinator and is amazing! So helpful and patient and organized! The cupcakes were delicious, so many of my family members told me they were some of the best cupcakes they had ever had! You get a lot for your money too as the cupcakes are huge! Highly recommend!

Every time I come here, I have to get one of their cupcakes. I know they arent open on Sunday so I was a little sad I didnt buy two yesterday. They have a nice selection of gluten free cupcakes which are really good. I have never had their regular ones, but they look really good and they seem to always have different flavors. They are really good cupcakes!

The tuxedo cupcake was the best cupcake I’ve ever had. It’s been 3 months since I’ve been there and my boyfriend and I still talk about how good those cupcakes were.

Integrity is lacking. If you want to order something special get it in writing or you may find out that they won’t really do it.

Great place! Annies frozen custard, too! Small issue with my order and management went out of the way to make it right. Top notch with quick response to the issue and an excellent resolution.

I went with a friend close to closing time. The employees working were very friendly and informative, and made sure to ask if I was done with the coffee before they started cleaning it up for the night. And OMG the cupcakes!!! I had the Raspberry Beret which was to die for, and took home the Buckeye, which was also wonderful. Ill definitely be back and am looking forward to trying all their monthly specials!

Love this place! Ordered for my wedding. The cake and cupcakes for the reception was perfect and really reasonable. Always use them for my sons birthdays. We couldnt ask for better.

I like the atmosphere, staff is friendly (even the young ones), they have a nice variety, place is always clean, and the price is fair.While I usually like the place, I’ve been patronizing them since the beginning, the taste of their cupcakes the past two times I’ve been has been dry. I don’t know if it was an old cupcake I got both times, but I wasn’t impressed at all. When usually I’m like blown away each time I chomp into one of their cupcakes. To be honest, I’ve had better tasting cupcakes from their competitors. Sorry The Cup, your cupcakes don’t taste as good as they have in the past.

The cup has the best gluten free cupcakes that I have ever eaten. Sometime I am skeptical of bakeries with gluten free options because there is a huge risk of cross contamination but I have never has a problem with their cupcakes! So happy that restaurants like the cup have such great options for people with food allergies! The cup is my guilty pleasure! 10/10 would recommend.

I have yet to eat a cupcake that I havent liked!y husband loves the buttercream icing they make and we just saw that they sell it in little containers, so now I have the perfect birthday gift for him! My favorite? Its a tie. I love the strawberries and cream cupcake but equally love the grasshopper when its in season as well

The best cupcakes ever!!! My husband and I did a small cake and cupcakes around it. And our cake got ruined from the freezer. They replaced our cake for free for our 1year anniversary. I will be eating cupcakes forever. You must go!! But we go to the one in down town Saint Louis.

I am always up for a good local cupcake shop. In town one night on business. and someone had told me about this little shop. SO MUCH to choose from, various sizes of cupcakes, and even gluten free options. I got the Pumpkin (seasonal) and the Island Dream. Both were moist and flavorful and just the right amount of icing. I might stop by tomorrow afternoon before heading home and get some more to take back to Kentucky to share with my husband. Will be back next time I have to go to St. Louis or SIUE.

These are the best cupcakes on Earth. I have had Jillys cupcakes in St. Louis that everyone I know seems to think are so awesome. The Cup is better. They are sweet, moist, and decadent. The staff is fantastic and always friendly. I always get a peanut butter cup cupcake and then I like to switch it up for my second one to sample whatever is new. I buy several at a time so I can have one for breakfast. On rare occasions they drop off samples at Edwardsville High School and it is the best day ever for the staff. I cant say enough good things about The Cup.

Although my wife has brought some The Cup cupcakes home before (They were incredible), today was my first visit. The Cup is very cozy with plenty of space to sit with friends to enjoy the delicious together. The variety of cupcakes is only surpassed by the quality and yumminess of the cupcakes.

If I lived in town, Id be here weekly! I had the Cardinals Cupcake and it was divine. It had vanilla and red velvet so I feel like I had 2 cupcakes...so good. The store is cute and spacious and they even had a party room!

The location is out of the way. Even with Google maps I barely saw it. The staff could be friendlier, the young lady that waited on me had the personality of a postage stamp. The cupcakes are delicious. If you like Strawberry cake, the strawberry cupcake is divine. The red velvet lacked flavor and the cream cheese icing was disappointing. If you are going to sell over priced cupcakes in a strip mall and expect repeat customers, customer service goes a long way.

Not impressed.Went in to get 5 cupcakes for my daughters birthday, the girl working stood leaning with her bottom against the counter while I ordered, she never smiled, didnt speak other than to tell me the price which was a whopping $21 for 5 cupcakes.I thought, oh well, not everyone is friendly. Maybe shes having a bad day. Whatever. Get home serve up the cupcakes to my family for a birthday. We had a goldrush I think was the name, 3 birthday cake & 1 tuxedo. All 5 of us scraped the icing off, it was gritty and tasted like butter. The cupcakes themselves were ok-ish. The white cakes were dense and chewy rather than moist and fluffy like a cupcake should be. We gave 1 to the baby for her 1st birthday cake smash & it was so dense it just broke into 3 or 4 pieces and sat there, she didnt even smash it up or eat it. I was pretty disappointed for spending over $20 on cupcakes.

If I Iived closer, Id go several times a week. And probably weigh 400#.Good thing I live as far away as I do.Because this place is fantastic.

I love The Cup! They did my wedding cake 11yrs ago. Then I found out they were opening a cupcake store in the Central West End and I would drive 45 just to get one. Once Edwardsville opened I did a dance cause thats only 20 minutes from me. I go more offend now. If you havent had one please treat yourself today!!

Make-A-Wish IL and the Gateway Superfriends held a party here for a Wish Kid. We had a great time, and the strawberry cupcake was divine!

Cupcakes were OK. I paid the additional $2 for gift wrapping and a card. This turned out to be a scam. The gift wrapping is just a green ribbon around the carton and there was no card.No manager was on site and the young staff had no clue how to resolve. I doubt I will be back as the cupcakes were not good enough to justify dealing with the poor customer service.
