One of the best and stress-free car buying experiences I have had. Gustavo Holcombe was great at communicating with me. I sent him info on my expiring lease and vehicle I wanted to look at. He made sure we were ready to go for a test drive when I arrived and answered all of my questions. The negotiation process was pain free as the final number we agreed on was also easily agreeed upon and I was driving home in my new Tiguan fairly quickly. Part of the reason I chose this dealership was the great reviews and I can see why they are this way. I would recommend buying from Hoy for sure.
Today we Picked up our Brand New Atlas! With Alberto Velazquez our sales experience was sweet and to the point. I felt the entire time was hassle and stress free, including the trade-in of our previous car. In the end we got to the number we liked and got our new car! Just got back home from service today 10/21/2021 and recommend to bring it back to previous dealer because the drainplug was too tights. they told me they change filter and put some fluid for free. but when i got back home saw the old filter and the cover for filter in the floor of passenger sit and when try to put back the cover for the filter there is no filter inside. very unprofessional
Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. The appointment that i had set a week in advanced was cancelled without my knowledge. No one bothered to notify me of this change and upon arrival they stated the car i was interested in was taken to get detailed. And that it was taken to get detailed without any prior notice.
Well I inquired about a Tiguan and got a quick response. I provided information regarding my preference and trade-in intention. The gentleman advises he will text me so I can provide more detailed information about my trade. I was also asked to do a credit application. I never received the text nor the credit application link.Being proactive I text the gentleman my trade-in information such as payoff, payoff good through date, and VIN. I also submit a credit application on my own. I advise the gentleman via text and email and no response.Today, I called the manager left a message and still no response. Its hard to believe that due to the climate currently affecting auto sales that such treatment is given. Ive purchased two vehicle from this establishment in the last 2 years. I wouldve expected a little better service.
The customer service is excellent here. I brought in my dad’s Tiguan today to get the sunglass holder replaced. It was ready in less than 30 minutes. Jennifer Stockman is really professional. I really appreciate she took the time to text me there was an appointment available. I’ve purchased a few new cars here before and I’m happy the service department is as great as the sales department.

What a disappointment with the Service Department. i requested an appointment to take Jetta for an engine light issue. They said only appointment available was in three weeks. I took my vehicle the day of appointment. Service department took the car in. Next day I called to pick up car and they told me they were so behind that it would take THREE MORE WEEKS before they can look at the car. I picked up my car immediately. No explanation. The front desk gave me the keys of my car. For sure my next vehicle will be purchase at another dealership. A complete disappointment.

I just bought a new 2021 Atlas Cross Sport at Hoy Family Volkswagen in El Paso, and I couldn’t be more satisfied, both with the car itself and with the top-notch service and support I received from the Hoy staff--both before and after the sale. I live in Roswell, NM, where we have no VW dealership, and I’m so glad I made the decision to drive down to El Paso to buy the car at Hoy. It’s about 210 miles from Roswell to El Paso, and it was well worth the drive, something I will certainly remember the next time I buy a car.

WORST experience EVER!!! Salesman was incompetent and it was evident he did not want to sell my daughter a car on 15 March, 2021. Wasted our time! My daughter was ready to purchase the car and the salesman it seemed we were wasting his time! Could say more negative comments about the salesman but it would be best if I do not! If there were a negative score he would have gotten that!!!!!A note to all veterans! Hoy Fox does not give a military discount for your service as I was told by the salesman. Hope all veterans see this and stay away from this dealership!
My 06 Golf R broke down in El Paso driving thru Midland to Arizona, I talked to Alejandro the service manager, and he declined service because it was modified, I think he doesnt know that these cars come with launch control and race mode from factory, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. all my vehicle needs is a timming chain, Im still here in El Paso trying to get home.
Worst experience I went for an express service and Josh who is the advisor didnt even made eye contact he was too busy chatting with other agent. The SERVICE department NEVER respects prices they always want to charge even if the warranty covers it. This is not the first or second time they dont respect prices and want to charge for things the car doesnt even need. The owner needs to pay more attention to the SERVICE department JOSHUA and the service director WILLIE ESTRADA have the worst customer service skills. I guess HOY Volkswagen only has decent customer service for Mercedes owners.
Honestly it’s very rare and I mean very rare to find a salesman like the one I had. The process was the smoothest I’ve ever experienced and was able to negotiate and have my demands met with no trouble at all. I’ve always herd about Hoy and their deals but now I’ve actually experienced it and it feels amazing. The sales consultant Mr. Alvarez is terrific at his job. A very rare salesman. Hoy as a whole was amazing at what they do. You get what you want while they get what they want so win win at the end of the day

If I could give 0 stars to the service department I would. I purchased a 2018 gti from them in 2019 and the sales experience was amazing. Less than a year into having my car, I had a major issue. I had it towed to them and it was serviced. Took more than two weeks but at least Alex Fernandez from the service department did all he could for me. He kept me updated, he worked hard to get me a loaner, he was polite, courteous and respectful. Fast forward to another year later and once again I’m having an issue with my car. Left me stranded with a crank no start. The EPC light came on. I called my brother in law (who is a mechanic) and he came to my location, ran the codes and let me know roughly what the problem was. We have the car towed to hoyvw for service because it should still be under warranty. This time around I get Jennifer Stockman. What a nightmare from the beginning. I work 12 hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm so my wife needed to be the one communicating with the service department while I was working. For one, Jennifer was rude from the beginning. She let my wife know my car wouldn’t even be looked at for two weeks because they were short a mechanic. My wife says okay and Jennifer proceeds to ask her “well what’s wrong with the car? The tow guy just dropped it off and didn’t say anything”. My wife explains the crank no start and the EPC light. (Which Jennifer says she was never told about) Jennifer says “well it started fine here. It took a little while but it did start”. Since when is it “fine” for a car to start after taking “a little while”? She proceeds to give her guesses on what’s wrong with the car but then says “but I’m not a mechanic”. My wife asks if there are any loaners since I would be without a car for so long and Jennifer says no. So my wife asks if there’s a list we could be placed on and Jennifer says there’s no list. My wife asks if there’s a loaner available if she could please get a hold of us to get the loaner. Jennifer then proceeds to rudely ask “you are aware you need full coverage for the loaner?” my wife says it’s not a problem. Then Jennifer asks “well are you over (the age requirement)?” My wife says yes and Jennifer just brushes it off again and says “well we don’t have any”. So what was the point in the questions? To try and eliminate the ability to receive a loaner car? My wife was fuming and let me know how terrible it was so far. So after about a week Jennifer calls and I’m at work. Against better judgement while at my hectic work space I answer and she tells me they THINK my battery is the problem. I KNOW my battery is not the problem (my mechanic brother in law AND the man who towed my car said it wouldn’t be the battery) but I need my car back because of conflicting schedules. I tell her to change the battery and she lets me know magically my battery’s warranty had JUST expired 301 miles ago. Jennifer claimed they wanted to start by changing my battery. To my understanding they hadn’t even ran a diagnostic (knowing the EPC light had come on) but of course something out of pocket would be wrong. They change the battery and she calls me back saying once again crank no start so they’re still going to need to keep it and find out what’s wrong with it. I go to my brother in law and he says it wasn’t the battery. We look for the codes in his search history and I message the service department and send them the two codes my brother got from the diagnostic test. After another week or so I get a call that one of the codes I had sent they also got. They changed a relay and I can get my car back. When I go to pick it up Jennifer (whose customer service is absolute garbage) charges me $277 for the battery. She said the relay was covered under warranty. I pay, leave. Two days later I get a crank no start. I have it towed back and tell Willy I don’t want to deal with Jennifer. She gets ahold of me. They refuse to give my money back and I’m not dealing with Willy who is just as bad as Jennifer. We’re towing our car from hoy to Rudolph. I’m done paying out of pocket for their guessing game.
Drew Hoy and his team made my car buying experience like none I have ever seen. The attention to detail and customer service were incredible. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Luis Abregon was a class act and so helpful with any questions I had.
Waited two weeks for service appointment to be told we had to leave the Atlas there for 2.5 more weeks before they would even start to look at it. Then they could tell us when they could work on it and when we could get it back.So yeah, waiting a month or more to get your car even looked at isn’t something I would expect of any dealership, but especially not to do so in such a shady way.Oh, and no loaner car either.
My mother and sister traveled into El Paso to buy my mother a new Tiguan and told the dealership they were specifically looking for the SEL 4 motion trim. With emphasis on the 4 motion. My mother and sister both being first time VW buyers not familiar with the nomenclature I did the research for them and told them exactly which trim and to make sure they got 4 motion. They talked my mother into buying an Atlas Cross Sport SEL V6 and my sister and mother specifically asked if it was also 4 motion, they told them it was. Salesman told them them it came with 4 wheel suspension, my sister and mother not remembering it was called actually 4 motion. At the time of negotiations they had also told my mother and sister that their interest rate was 2.8% and when they were about to sign off my sister noticed they had increased the interest to 4.5% making a joke about how they missed that on final paperwork. When they got home 2 days later under closer inspection of the Cross Sport, it was NOT 4motion. When my sister called the salesman, he told her that he didnt say it had 4motion, it had 4 wheel suspension... Even though they both had specifically made it a point to say that they wanted 4motion. I would not trust this dealership after they took advantage of two naive women.
Luis was such a great salesman along with his manager! They helped us and explained everything very clear every step of the way. We had some issues with other salesmen there, but Mr. Hoy took care of the situation and made sure we were taken care of. We are definitely very happy customers! Definitely recommend going with Luis if you are planning to come here!

He listened to what we needed and wasnt pushy like other sales people at other dealers. The dealership was organized and the finance staff very professional. Great overall experience. No mater how many cars I wanted to test drive on the first day he seemed excited to drive them with me. He exuded a love for his job and confident enough to be in the moment rather than pressing the sale. When I left the first day he was kind and courteous. When I came back and wanted to send pictures in every color to my wife he was still enthusiastic and patient with me. He worked really hard to get my price range. I highly recommend Hoy VW but also recommend you ask for Alberto Velázquez.
I have tried a few times now to buy from Volkswagen El Paso. I went to Saturdays ago to look at Purchasing 2 Vehicles. A Jetta GLI and a regular Jetta for my wife. The deal I was given was very low on my 2017 Passat R Line, it was low and its a Volkswagen. No bendability was given on my offer per salesmen. Its sad cause I really liked the car. I know they are good cars but to give up to possible says is weird.
When I arrived, I paced up and down the service area several times and nobody approached me or even made eye contact. Several minutes later, a female service agent approached me and asked me if I had been helped. She began inquiring about the purpose of my visit. I asked her why she was the only one that was willing to help? Her response was that everyone was out to lunch. I questioned if it was normal for everyone to take their lunch break at the same time. She did not have an answer for my question and I didnt expect her to since I assume that is not her responsibility.

Let me start off by saying this was our second VW we had visited in el paso when inquiring and let me say HOY did not disappoint my husband nor I when looking, pricing and purchasing my vehicle. We liked them so much we came back a week later and bought another one of their vehicles.We initially went to Rudolph looking at the Tegan once we were shown that i realized that it just wasnt big enough for my kids so i asked them to show me the next one. The sales me sold me on the car then told me theu didnt have any.. said we can look at yhe next trim level NOPE AGAIN they didnt have it. They just kept trying to up sale me when we specifically told them we did not want to exceed 37k with taxes licensing and negative equity. Nope they just kept going back 40k ( Do they not listen) my husband then got a call from HOY( gustavo) who went above and beyond contacted my husband as soon as they got what we wanted on the lot actually bigger for a better price came in. Stayed way under the 37k we wanted to stay under didnt pressure us with add ons gave us decide trade is values so we dealt with less negative equity. My husband who purchased a 2020 jetta and I a 2021 atlas are more than happy with our choice to go with hoy!!!
Went to get an oil change today. Once the oil change was complete I asked if they washed my car. They said no and that if I wanted it washed, that I would have to pay for it. Theyve always given free car washes in the past when you paid for an oil change. Next time Ill just go to Mister Shine Car Wash. Better service and free car washes.
It would help to remind Hoy, there are options for VW...and its a matter of time when they will have competition for all their brands. So the time to develop customer service skills is now. Rudolph is a great place to shadow.

I usually dont write reviews, like most people you usually only share when the experience was bad. However, my experience with company was met with amazing customer service and knowledge. The staff was just amazing and explained everything in fine detail. I was in a pretty messed up situation with just weeks ago purchasing a SUV from a different dealer or I should say was pushed in to one they wanted to sell me NOT the one i wanted. Which i will never work with that company again, i was even refused when asked to speak with the owner due to the situation. THE DIFFERENCE: The Hoy Family listened and worked with me as a team and today I can say I am now in the vehicle that I WANTED. Just want to Say Thank you to all of them for the people that you are and for getting me out of the mess someone else created. You didnt have to but you did. No they didnt pay me or tell me I had to write this. It was just one of those experiences that you need to share where someone goes above and beyond what they have to do. Thank you.
How family Volkswagen is a pretty good dealership to give your business to. I visited than and ran into a very knowledgeable Gustavo H. He talked to me about my plans for ownership. Unfortunately the vehicle I am looking for has yet to be released. Gustavo gave me the most current information on the 2019 Golf R. He told me that at the earliest option he would work with getting my dream car ordered to be amongst the first group. I look forward to meeting my new car soon.
I had been considering purchasing a new vehicle after my brother bought a car from this VW dealer a few weeks ago. I was impressed by their prices, discounts, and over all willingness to help people drive away with the car of their dreams, no games. I was assisted by Alberto who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, but most importantly, was willing to work with me and getting me a reasonable and manageable price. I had no problems with trading in my vehicle and they gave me a great price for its value. Overall my experience here exceeded my expectations. Now another family member is considering switching to a Volkswagen after seeing the great deal and service they provided.
I purchased a new car there, and before I had it for a month I had to go back because a faulty key cylinder, it was under warranty so it was repaired, I was attended by a great gentleman there, and sent the car to be repaired. When I purchased the car I added the Dents and Dings plan and oil service, I knew that I was most likely throwing money away by adding this, but I thought what if I get a dent or ding in a parking lot or something, I did not listen to the advice given to me and not get it, but I added it just in case. So, I got a ding in a parking lot, not bigger than a nickel. Called in to make an appointment so they can see the ding and see if its cover in the plan, I tried to get a decent appointment where I did not have to leave or miss work, but according to the representative I could not get early or late of the day because the person that checks these things is from a third party and they do appointments to fit their schedule, not having any other good option, I took the appointment and missed work, only to have the same gentleman that attended me before on more than one occasion, so they could have given me a better appointment. My complaint is not about the plan that covers nothing above of what you can fix with a $10 dent kit from Amazon, but the lack of respect on peoples time. The time it took to say hello, look at the dent, reject the coverage was less than 2 minutes. My complaint is with the scheduler. And as an advice to someone purchasing this extra add-on, just dont get it, for the money you throw away, you could just take it to the body shop yourself and save money.

Called for an specific vehicle, im ready to buy if the car has all is claimed. Show up and the vehicle is not on location. Im paying cash no vehicle on hand and to top the person tells me the vehicle has dent and miles I mentioned a number they come back after I already wasted over 1hr. With a price way over expected. Over the phone the expectation is greater than reality. Wasted time.
Its all about customer service! The service manager took his time to explain what we needed and made sure that we understood what the next step was going to be. He provided us with options and explained the pros and cons for each which allowed us to make an informed decision!

My family and l bought a 2020 VW Jetta RL.Our salesman was Mr Armando Raynal,we felt very comfortable working with him and the way he explained everything to us.He is a great salesman and a great person.I highly recommend Mr Raynal, as a salesman.
BEWARE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!So, my military son hit a pot hole and punctured his tire on the edge where it was irreparable. Took it to Hoy service, he had a tire and wheel policy to cover repairs. Josh in service advised him that the warranty company, Fidelity Warranty, denied the claim because the customer drove on the tire flat and abused the tire. After talking to my son, he did not know who the warranty company was or why it was declined. He called the dealership where he purchased the car and found out it was US warranty not Fidelity. The Adviser had flat out lied! I even talked to the adviser and he told me the same thing! The claim was denied due to customer abuse. Well if there is no contract with Fidelity the conversation would be whats the VIN number, you have no contract end of discussion. How do I know? I am a veteran adviser. I deal with these companies every day! So I asked for the service manager and got Willie who said he was the assistant to the service manager. (according to the web site he is the service manager) More Lies! I informed him who the warranty company was and he said he was not set up to deal with them. (Half truth!) The warranty company said they could take the claim over the phone and pay it in minutes. During this time the tech came into the office and exclaimed are these idiots still arguing over the warranty? Not realizing he was standing next to my son! So after 3 hours from the time my son arrived, the claim was paid and the car released and my son left. Never to return. This should have been an easy warranty claim. I have no idea whats going on. I only know they tried to charge my son $226 for a repair covered by tire warranty.!
I have always had great experiences when I have taken my car to get serviced here. Ever since it was purchased at Hoy Volkswagen, Jennifer Stockman has been my service consultant. I wouldnt change her to anyone else. I know that I can trust what she tells me about my car. But, last time I took my car (about two weeks ago) she exceeded her level of assistance. She tested my car extensively and provided the best communication. I will always bring my car back to her. Jennifer is truly the best!

Even on a gross, rainy day, Armando took good care of us. We didnt feel pressured or like we were getting swindled. This is our first VW after having a couple of Subarus so this was a big step lol, but we feel good about Hoy and about the car.

Because 2 sales people couldn’t communicate well for the sale they lost a customer. We were ready to buy and sign but because of that we are willing to drive 46 miles and go to another dealership (Las Cruces) that was willing to work with us and keep their word at the final sale price. Very disrespectful and rude. Buyers Beware! Take your business somewhere else!

Great dealership with plenty of different models to choose from, and with great deals. Luis Abrego was great at helping me choose the right car for my needs and provided a quick and stress-free transaction.
Havent really dealt with anything but the service end, so my review is for that. They are usually pretty good, Jennifer is very helpful and friendly. But sometimes they have issues with booking too many appts and not having loaners available, so make sure you set up a loaner car at the time you make your appt if you need one.
Express lane is not express lane. Was there 50 minutes, then told an hour, for an oil change.Edit: Was treated well by Jennifer Stockman. She takes pride in her work and took great care of my car.

After doing business with another dealership I realize this is one of the best dealerships in El Paso. This is where I got my first car, of course a used car was more affordable but Certified Preowned include a warranty. Even after the warranty was over I still took my car to them because the service was so great. They dont try to fix things that dont need fixing and dont pressure you into getting anything other than what you need. The service is a little expensive which is the only reason I have taken my car elsewhere for repairs, but when I have the money and want something done right I will definitely return. Perhaps for another vehicle in the future too! 👍
