This place is the worst! I would give them 0 stars if that were an option. I received a text and confirmed my appointment about a week before it was scheduled. When I show up, I find out that my appointment was cancelled because I didnt respond to their phone call? Im confused about what the point of the text confirmation was. They made no effort to get me in or help in any way.The worst part is that this is a known issue. The lady at the front desk knew that their system sent out text confirmations even if the appointment was cancelled. They havent bothered to fix this? How little respect do they have for other peoples time? I wasted an hour and a half of my time and drove 22 miles because they cant get their stuff together?

My daughter has been a patient here for a while now. Very good service. Of course sometimes there is a wait but that doesnt bother me at all since I know they are full and they take time with everyone in order to do things right.

The medical staff who helped check in and prep for the Ophthalmologist were great. Really polite and worked well with my child. Very friendly doctor and clear explanations. Everything seemed to be going great until I overheard two male employees making rude remarks and comments about certain appearances. Even if they weren’t specifically talking about me, the comments they made were offensive and inappropriate for a medical office. Their conversation made me feel very uncomfortable and cringe at the fact that these men work with multiple women a day. I’m not sure who let two gym buddies hang out and talk smack work at the Vision center but I did let the supervisor know and she was very understanding. hopefully they are more careful and try to speak behind closed doors if they are to make comments about a patient. Working in healthcare myself, I know that losing 1 patient won’t mean much to them business wise.. but hopefully this 1 patient could help them learn about social graces…

Horrible patient care. I decided to let me my mom go in to her appointment by herself thinking theyd take care of her. They had her sitting in the exam room where it was very cold, she waited for a long time. Nobody showed up, finally she heard staff laughing, joking around and being unprofessional. She had to go tell them she was waiting and it was so cold her back was hurting (elderly patient). Finally she saw Dr. Acosta, who seemed surprised and wasnt aware of her appt. She felt rushed and to top it off they forgot to include prism lenses on the prescription which was the most important factor of the visit. I had to call back later to get it added. Lenses didnt work for her, gave her headaches and couldnt see clearly. So were having to find another provider and start the process all over.

Horrible experience so far. My first appointment they had scheduled me at 8a.m I get there on time with my son and they were having a meeting and I waited for about 30 minutes for them to even tell me they were in a meeting they are unprofessional front desk has no sense of urgency mostly talking and laughing ignoring the costumers waiting around . I also have gotten my son the best glasses they offer there and I was told Lies about the glasses I was told there were scratch resistant and within a month glasses started to scratch when I called to let them know of issue employee Esteban had the nerve to tell me “he wasn’t sure what to tell me” Be aware of their service and be careful what you pay for not all they say is promising .

One of the best experiences at a doctors office. Was visiting from New Jersey and had a sudden issue with my eye and they got me in within an hour. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The technicians that helped me scan my eyes were super super super cool, friendly and made sure I felt comfortable there. Dr Ramirez was also great. He was very professional, friendly and caring. If I lived here in El Paso I would definately make this office my choice for any eye issues. HIGHLY recommend coming here.

LOVED BUENA VISTA EYE CARE!!!!! It was our first time taking my son. They are SO kind and professional and efficient. I have been a patient at Buena Vista Eye Center for 8 years. It is always a great visit. Great staff, friendly. The wait time is always short. The depth of knowledge with Dr. Ramirez is that of someone at a major medical center. I started with normal needs but recently had a rare optical cancer. Dr. Ramirez has been very helpful in dealing with a complex and rare case. El Paso is fortunate to have an Opthomology clinic of this quality, knowledge and experience.

The girl that checked us in was rude, she was on the phone when we walked in and she didn’t even look at us to acknowledge us just kept talking looking straight at her computer screen made us feel unwelcomed very dry personality for sure! Excellent eye care. The doctors spend time with each patient and completely all tests and screenings. My husband and I travel from Las Cruces to El Paso as this is the best practice. I had cataract surgery that went perfectly. Also Dr Ramirez followed me after retinal detachment surgery by another doctor.

I had an unexpected visit to see my eye Dr. I was seen by Dr. Acosta and he did an amazing job. Three days ago I started having discomfort in mi left eye due to a Sty. They checked my eye and the Dr. prescribed me some droops and ointment. They always have an amazing service and smiles everywhere, specially Dr. Monica Ramírez, she is amazing with the kids. I am impressed with Dr. Acosta. He rendered his professional services to all of my three children in need of rx contacts and/or eye glasses. I recommend his services. As for the optical, I will say I, visually, had a more positive impression before walking into the clinic initially, however, I was proven otherwise. All I can say is that I was 100% of the purchase I was about to make, and the lack and unwillingness of re-sanitizing discouraged the optical personnel from prospering a sale, actually two sales. But it wasnt any inconvenience for me, I headed home after and on the way I took my business to another establishment where no one had a problem fitting my children into glasses in consciousness of having to clean afterwards. I will be back though, but for Dr. Acostas services ONLY👍 Thank you to the staff regardless for the courtesy and polite care provided to my children during our visits.

My appointment was at 8 am. I walked into office. Temperature taken. Made me feel I was in a Healthy environment. Everyone was very Cordial. I was seen at 8:15am. Everyone that handled me was very thorough, explaining all procedures as we went along. Dr. Acosta came in and ran tests as well and I finished my appointment with him. I was given all paperwork I requested and an appointment date and time for glasses. Im grateful to everyone in this office. They are both outstanding doctors who not only run a very busy professional office with superb employees/technicians, they are also very good with their patients by taking the time with each of us to insure our eye needs are met. Dr. Monica Ramirez is great. I work on a computer it seems 24/7 and have been wearing glasses for some time. Since my original OD retired, she has been the only to provide me an Rx that I do not have issues with. I had an exam by someone else and went back to the glasses she prescribed. I trust very few with my eyesight -- She is sooooo sweet too and knows the community. She wants to understand your work, hobbies, etc. to ensure your optical needs.The staff is even as nice....from the moment I walked in - people were respectful, attentive, and upheld COVID precautions to ensure all patients and staff were safe. The medical asst who assisted Dr. Ramirez was so kind. I was anxious and she has a way of just talking and helping you relax.What I really like is they care....they are very attentive to COVID precautions.

In general this office provides great service. In this last visit there was an issue with one of the staff members, and I addressed it with one of the Doctors. But Please dont forget to check in your patients when you tell them to wait in the lobby!;( Especially when I arrived on time for my appt. Finally saw the eye doctor almost an hour waiting.
