I had went to two other shops to see what could be done to fix my center console. Only Martin Services really offered me a solution and right away.Karl worked on my car and he is a auto genius figuring out a solution.Everyone was so professional and polite. I will be back with my auto needs to continue to support this business. I was very very happy with my service.

Had an excellent experience with the entire team at Martin Service. My check engine light came on, and the initial diagnostics werent specific enough to pinpoint the problem. They did some follow up tests to determine the cause and kept me well informed the whole time. I always felt that they were very honest and professional. The repairs were done well, always within the timeframe promised, and the costs were very reasonable for the amount of work that was done.

Got us handled immediately as we came in.Jacob and Joseph were amazing at keeping us informed and up to date on what was happening and finished the work on the timeline they mentioned.They also did all the heavy lifting in dealing with our insurance and letting us know our options for rentals that we would not have known otherwise.

My only gripe with Martin Service shop is that they are in IL and not Virginia. Im sorry I didnt get to meet these awesome folks in person but if Im ever nearby I will seriously stop by to say thank you. Everyone I dealt with from my primary contact Jacob to Joe and the owner Kyle was fantastic. Why doesnt everyone run their business like this? Seriously if I lived anywhere near Id never go anywhere else. They are transparent, honest, friendly, professional. If you have any questions about going here, dont. This is a Great Place with Great Honest People! I was in the market for a new car and required a pre-purchase inspection. I purchased a car from Georgia and only had 3 days to decide if I was going to keep the car after it was delivered. I had gotten my car worked on at the elgin Toyota for some maintenance and there were some recommendations for services. Before I was just going to pay for it I wanted to get some quotes from some other mechanics. I visited Martin Service and Kellenberger. I was very impressed with Martin Service in how I got an honest opinion on what my car needed. Ok, so this is an incredible no-brainer. I had tie rod work done on Tuesday at another site, and didnt want to drive much without an alignment. I called around. Got Next Wednesday at the earliest and Possibly this Friday. A friend told me about Martin Service. Im an Elgin resident but hadnt heard of them. NOW I HAVE. I called Martins, spoke with the very polite and professional Jacob (I misheard his name on the phone as Chico LOL), and he said I could bring it in that next day. I got the car in at 11:00, and they assured me it would be done by 6. At 2:30 they called saying the car was ready. I went in, they showed me the details of the work they had done, the price was reasonable. BAM. Obviously Im not guaranteeing they can get everyone in so promptly...sometimes that cant happen.....but people, this was exceptional. And they offered me free snacks! Which were available in their reception space. PEOPLE. FAN FOR LIFE. TELLING THE WORLD. GO TO MARTINS!

I cant say enough great things about these mechanics! Our 2005 Buick Rendezvous had a number of issues. These guys took care of EVERYTHING and gave us an upfront estimate that actually matched the final cost-- when does that ever happen?? Usually the final cost ends up being much more than the estimate. Since we were really low on money, they let us pick and choose which items we would have taken care of and they NEVER made us feel like we were being cheapskates like other places have. Hey, we have limited funds, what can I say? Anyway, they treated us with such dignity and respect, even though we were small potatoes. They never made us feel small at all. Our car is is running fabulously!!These guys are HONEST!! We also recommended these fellows to our son. Our sons 2014 Passat was having issues. He had taken it first to the dealership who told him that there were metal shavings in the oil and they recommended a new engine. Well, that was something our son could NOT afford. He then took his car to Martin Service for an oil change. Guess what? No metal shavings in the oil. Our son can now breathe a sigh of relief as he thought he was driving his car on borrowed time.So glad to know a theres a reliable, honest mechanic who does fabulous work in the area.Oh!! And theyre community minded!!! Bet you didnt know they donated some coursework to the Dream Academy in Elgin did you? Yeah, theyre THAT kind of folks!!

I got a flyer in the mail from this local place with a friendly face and when I called the owner, Kyle answered and he was very pleasant and helpful when I asked all of my questions. I had to reschedule once and then I was able to make it in and he greeted me with his friendly old pup behind the counter. They figured out what I needed, then they did some research to find out my Jeep has an open recall. They said I should go through a dealership. I did and it not only fixed the problem, it was covered 100% by Jeep. They received nothing but a customer for life.

Kyle and his team correctly diagnosed an ongoing issue with a sticking parking brake. I had a previous repair done elsewhere, but it never seemed to work correctly.I now trust that when I set the brake, it will hold (and release). I hated relying on leaving the car in gear only (5-speed).The car was ready when promised and the price was fair.I have previously used Martin service on my Daughters high mileage Honda for front end work and brakes. At that time I was shown what in need of repair. The price was significantly lower than the estimate I received at the dealer and I again, the car was delivered as promised.I would highly recommend Martin Service.
