After receiving a coupon in the mail from Kelleher, I called and scheduled an oil change. The coupon had my make and model of car and said that I was due for an oil change. They mentioned on the phone to just make sure I brought it in. After getting the oil change and going to pay for it, I was told that it was going to be $30 dollars more then what the coupon was saying. I asked the lady that was charging me about it and she told me I would need to talk to the service department. In speaking with the service department, I was told that my vehicle took full synthetic oil and that that was more expensive. I explained that I was confused as to why I would get a coupon in the mail with information about my exact make and model of car. If you know the car I drive, why would you send me a coupon that I cant even use? At the time, I didnt know what kind of oil it took because I always just take it in. I didnt think twice about it not being able to be used because on the coupon it had my cars information. I was told that I should have known that the coupon didnt apply to my car because of the oil type. I asked with they would even send me a coupon with my vehicle information on it, if they knew I couldnt use it because of the oil type. The service desk guy told me that I should have known better and to take my car to Yakima the next time I want my oil changed and that I should never bring it to them again. I was dumbfounded after he said that. He got his wish. I will never buy a vehicle from here and you can bet that I will tell people this story every chance I get. I went in just wanting them to honor the coupon they sent and ended up never wanting to go there again.They ended up refunding me for the entire cost of the oil change. I am still confused as to why when I only every asked to pay the advertised rate I was sent. I never once asked for a free oil change.After all of this, they are still sending me coupons. At least this one is a generic 15% off instead of for a specific oil change. Although mine went straight to the trash, hopefully it will help the next person avoid all these problems.
We had to stop in Ellensburg for emergency car repairs. Colby in the service department worked us in and within an hour we were on our way again. We really appreciate the service we received on our vehicle but also was extremely impressed with their customer service! Colby even recommended the Palace Cafe for breakfast! Bad experience with diagnosing an issue, and it turned out to be a different problem. Got charged 15 hundred for the job that was not main issue. If diagnosis would had been done properly, I would had not agreed to it. The problem was not fixed. Very disappointed with their service and when I informed them about the misdiagnosis, the service manager(Fred Mendoza) became defensive. Not very good customer service. No buen servicio a el cliente! No regresare/I will not return, and I will pass on the message to friends and community members.

My car was having issues with the engine and sensors. This was the only auto repair place that wasn’t booked. I take it there and they work on it and tell me they cleaned the inside of it and that there was no issues with the sensor. Charge was $170. I had a feeling something wasn’t right about that but okay, fine whatever. I’m driving home from work and while on the highway the check engine light comes on and my car starts shaking. I had to pull over twice and restart the car to make it home.Update: thank you for the partial refund. For that I changed my review to 3 stars.
For me the purchase of a new vehicle was hassle free and no pressure at Kelleher. I actually enjoyed the buying process at this dealership. Nice hometown feel and genuinely nice people, or at least they put in a good show if they were hiding anything.
I’ve recently taken both my car and my husband’s to Kelleher for oil changes on separate occasions. I have young children and my husband works away from home during the week, so I I have the kids with me all the time. Bert is awesome in the service department. Mike is good in the parts department. But it is a dealership and one that has little competition. Prices are typically higher and some of the people are meh.

These guys are great, the fuel line broke on my truck and they were able to work me in to get it fixed and back on the road to Tacoma. They diagnosed the problem right away and replaced the line quickly for a fair price. I definitely recommend Kelleher Motors in Ellensburg, WA. Since I was traveling, they made a special effort to help get my truck fixed so I could bring my family home from vacation.
I cannot say enough great things about Kelleher Ford. We are a Ford family. I have owned many Fords and prefer a Ford over any other vehicle. I have my Ford serviced through Kelleher. I have also purchased and sold a vehicle from them. They are always able to schedule my vehicle for service and are communicative every step of the way. If they are back logged, they call and reschedule so my vehicle doesnt just sit there waiting. When I was interested in purchasing a vehicle and couldnt get away from work to come look at it, they drove it to me. Filling out paperwork and closing on the vehicle was not time consuming and agonizing. I have purchased vehicles from other dealerships and it has taken almost the whole day from start to finish. Kelleher seems to always put the customer first and I appreciate it very much.

We bought a truck there over the past two days. They were friendly. They didnt pressure us at all. They let us keep the truck overnight to see if it would fit in the garage. And besides all this, they gave us a great deal.
Coming from Las Vegas I have never seen a dealership nostalgic like this one. People were very nice, enjoyed walking around inside reading all the literature on the wall and the history of the place. Nobody harassed us or tried to be pushy in any way.
I’ve been driving from Yakima to work with Phil, Jack and the Kelleher family for almost 10 years now and purchased/serviced around 10-12 vehicles personally and for business. Service is absolutely unsurpassed and takes all the “oh god I’m dealing with a car dealer” worries out of it.
Had trouble with my truck while coming down from Snqualmie. Limped into Ellensburg. Parts dept and Service shop were great at getting the reqd parts and installing them. We were back on the road in 2 hrs. Great job, thank you very much.

I have gone through Kelleher for purchase and service for 2 vehicles now and every experience has been positive. Jack Kelleher is exactly the kind of salesperson that breaks the car salesman stereotype. He is hands on but does not pressure. As with most any good purchasing experience it truely feels as if youre in the driver seat and he is simply giving direction and tips.
NOTE: This if for the Service Department only; I have not experienced the dealer side.I took my Ford pickup there to have some work that my mechanic told me had to be done by the dealer because they did not have the software/hardware to diagnose the problem. The person who helped me was very rude, condescending and unprofessional. However, I tolerated the man because I wanted the vehicle in five days and wanted to know if it was safe for my family to use for the weekend. After a lengthy conversation that included him repeatedly asking me what I wanted done (I told him repeatedly that I only wanted it diagnosed because it stalled twice at low speeds) and him saying that I did not know what (I) you are talking about and that my request makes no sense. He even went to the point of saying you and your mechanic dont know anything about these vehicles. (After about the third round of this conversation I tuned him out and just nodded my head to appease this mans ego until he was done with his naive idiotic rambling.) Finely he did give me a 10AM Friday appointment to get it diagnosed and told me it would take about one hour. Since I had a meeting that I could not skip, I showed up at 10:05 AM so I was 5 minutes late for the appointment. So I apologized for being late and the employee (not the same person) said no problem, we are unable to get to it anyway. He told me they can get to it around 10:30 or 11:00. So shortly after 1:30 PM I called - thinking that if they started late, it should still be done after three hours. I was told the guys are at lunch right now and will look at it when they come back. So a little after 4:30 (about 6 hours after the appointment) my wife went to get the pickup, when she arrived the person at the desk (Im assuming it was the first person she talked to because) he was rude and in my wifes words a total ass to her. He proceeded to tell my wife that since the pickup was brought in long after the appointment time (remember 5 minutes) and that I did not tell them what was wrong (stalled twice at slow speed) or what I wanted done (diagnose the problem so that I know if the vehicle is safe for my family). I dont know what else this gentleman told my wife, but I do know she used the terms ass, chauvinist, arrogant, and a few more words... I hope you have better service than we did if you take your vehicle here; however, I will send my vehicle over a cliff before I ever step foot in that building again.

We were on our trip to Seattle the day before Thanksgiving. Our check engine light came on about 15 miles from Ellensburg. So I called and explained our situation. They guy said they were pretty much done for the day. He said, “Bring it in and ask for Fred.” We did, they checked and it needed new spark plugs. They were efficient and ran more tests making sure that was the only problem that needed fixing. The staff all had a great attitude and they even washed and vacuumed the car for us. They got us back on the road in about 2 hours and off to Seattle to see our kids and grandkids! Thanks Fred!!!!

Taking your car or truck here you just gotta know they are going to come up with a list of problems like no other place i have been to, and their prices to fix those problems are also very high. I have not been happy with the work they did do on my car either. I will not return.

Fantastic service department! Our water pump in our truck crapped out on us while traveling accross the state and left us stranded in Ellensburg overnight. The tow company dropped it off after hours so we assumed wed be needing a rental car the next day to get us home to Forks. The service department called us first thing the next morning and said they were basically booked out for about 2 weeks, but would see what they could do. They took it in right away and discovered the bad water pump. By noon, they called us and said they got it replaced and it was ready.to go. They even washed the truck. Wow. Thats great service. Thanks again to the service manager Tony and the mechanic that did the work. You guys rock.

Well I broke down here coming back from Yellowstone. I called on way in so they would be expecting me. Three of us camped out in the dirt lot with permission for the night. The next morning I was at the service door to get my truck looked at and they proceeded to tell me that they couldnt look at until Tuesday of the next week, it was a Thursday. Are you kidding me! Throw me a bone here. I was able to finally get an hour of diagnostic time and that was it. I was able to drive home to Bickford Ford. My truck was fixed by Tuesday. Great service Ford of Ellensburg nice try.
