John was super helpful with picking out our mattress. Very nice and reasonable. Got us just what we wanted. I got a call with a time frame for delivery and a call 10 minutes before they arrived and they came when they said they would. Delivery men were nice and quick! Would definitely recommend and use again! So easy and smooth with no issues.

Kenneth is awesome!! We felt very lucky to have gone into this store when he was working. We feel like we got the VIP experience of mattress evaluating and choosing. We honestly weren’t sure if we’d actually walk out purchasing a mattress that day, if anything felt it was our preliminary research. But after chatting with and learning from Kenneth, we felt very confident and secure in sealing the deal day of, and we couldn’t be happier with that decision. Kenneth was kind from the get go, really took his time to show us everything we needed to see (and feel) to make the best decision, & he was patient as we hopped back and forth trying to remember our comparisons (haha). He is very well educated and really knows his stuff, answered every question we threw at him, and even had supporting information each time. Best of all, he isn’t one of those pushy sales guys, he was very genuine throughout the whole process and truly made us feel as though WE chose our mattress that best suited US and OUR needs. 10/10 buying experience across the board. My wife and I purchased a $3,500 Temper pedic mattress from Ken and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We visited the store 3 times & laid on many different mattresses. Ken was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. I have a bad back & I doubt that I have ever paid more than $350 for a mattress. Ken was very insightful & never pushed us in any specific direction. He shared his knowledge, but never encouraged us to select any one specific mattress. Excited for my first night of sleep tonight on my new mattress! Next day delivery was a breeze. Kenneth, our sales rep, was very kind and didnt try to push us out of our price range. He explained to us that we needed a softer bed since we sleep on our sides and backs. There was no pressure on my shoulders shoulders hips. We found a great bed for a good value. Then we decided to upgrade since the 0%/3 yr financing is also very helpful.

I was looking for a metal frame for my new mattress. I did not want to buy online without seeing the dimensions and quality of the product. Mattress Firm had it on their showroom floor so I could see it. The salesperson was very helpful and explained that it involved no assembly! Simply unfolding it sets it up!

Men were courteous but need training on putting sliders under bed rollers. They just laid them on floor. Otherwise, a good job!

This is one of the best experiences I have had in the last decade! In a world where customer service is extinct, Daren Davis from Encinitas Mattress Firm has given me hope. I needed box springs for our mattress and to no fault of Daren’s, I placed an order with him for King box springs instead of Ca King’s. I got them home and discovered my error knowing I was most likely out of luck since I had taken them home, unpacked them and removed partS and plastic. Long story short, Daren explained policy would not let me exchange them, but in this case that was not the right thing to do. He spent an hour and finally got approval for me to bring the Kings back and exchange for the California Kings. What a great surprise. Daren’s efforts and exceptional customer service guarantees I will never go anywhere else for our bed needs in the future, and that I will refer everyone I know to him and Mattress Firm. Went to Mattress Firm in Encinitas to buy a bed frame. The sales associate gave us a great deal and made it worth our while. We had to travel to Mira Mesa to pick it up but that was easy too and the guys there where very helpful and fast at getting our purchase in our car.

This mattress firm location is great! I walked in just to test a mattress. But after talking to Jay Gordon one of the nicest and least pushy sales people I’ve ever met I purchased the exact Purple Mattress I wanted at a steep discount. Jay is very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to! The mattress was delivered today and though it was a struggle to get it up into the loft of my tinyhouse the delivery guys did a great job! Very happy with my purchase and experience with Jay and Mattress Firm!

I was wanting to purchase an adjustable bed base and the MattressFirm website says that the one I want buy is “available in store” in San Marcos, just under the price. When I called to verify before driving there, John the salesman said that “available in store” means they have a demo that is available to try in the store. When I pointed out that the website language is misleading and they should consider fixing it, John first argued then hung up on me. My impression is that the website is purposefully misleading in order to get customers in to the store. Surely John knows this. I guess maybe this is to be expected from this type of place, though I had hoped things might change given the competitive pressure from online competition. I’ll just order what I need from Amazon.

I recently bought a mattress from the East location (there are 2 stores: one West of El Camino Real and one East) and had an awesome experience!! Jay helped me decide on the right mattress that suited my needs and I couldn’t be more happy with it! Jay and the manager, Jessica are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The mattress was delivered the next day and the whole process was very easy and timely.

My boyfriend and I went to test out a few mattresses and with only thirty minutes to shop around we didnt have any intention of making a purchase the same day. Because the customer service was so wonderful on my last purchase I was excited to come back to this store in particular. We were greeted by Shawn as soon as we walked in and we had his undivided attention the entire time we were in the store. He was friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. We found a bed we really liked and he was able to find it on clearance in a local warehouse. Within ten minutes we were done with our purchase and leaving the store on time for our next appointments. My boyfriend and I spent the next few minutes laughing in our car because we were so surprised that we made a purchase that day. Shawn made the experience so good that we really felt we were really being taken care of. Later that night I researched the bed and the price (something I usually do before any major purchase) and I was relieved to find out that we paid a very fair price and it was comparable to other vendors. Although, because of the exceptional customer experience I wouldnt have been too upset had we paid a little extra. The bed was delivered the very next day and we have been sleeping well ever since. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a fairly priced mattress along with million dollar customer service! Five Stars all around!

Purchased a mattress & box spring 3/19. I was told I would have to wait until 3/28 for my delivery. The 28th came, & I took an early lunch to be home for it. They sent 1 box spring for a Cal King mattress! Manager Casey told me I was basically out of luck, & that they could guarantee re-delivery Sunday (over a 2 week wait)! He did absolutely nothing to attempt to save the sale or compensate me in any way. I cancelled & am awaiting my refund. I consider it a blessing in disguise though, as I visited a competitor down the street & got a much higher quality mattress for my $$$ without all of the hard-pushed up-sells. Even better, I will have it in less than 48 hours :)

Went in for the first and last time. Told the salesman we were just beginning to look and was not buying. At first he was great, we found one we kind of liked then out came the pushy used car salesman. Kept telling him we werent buying anything today and he kept going. Walked out in such disbelief. Went in looking for a mattress on sale. Left with a mattress that was on sale. There was only one guy named Travis in the place, but he was good. Overall nice.

Darren at this location is amazing - confident, knows his product and is not overly pushy. We went from sleeping okay on a mediocre mattress from a popular online retailer to sleeping AMAZINGLY on a mattress recommended by Darren after we explained to him what we were looking for. I like to do my due diligence, so I took upon 2 hours of Darrens time (and 30 minutes past store closing) to pretty much try nearly every mattress in the store but kept on going back to the one that Darren recommended within 3 minutes of me stepping foot in the store and listening to what I wanted. No gimmicks, no over the top add ons. We should have just come to Mattress Firm from the beginning, because you just cant choose something like a mattress over the internet. Repeat customer here. I paid for a bed that actually moves . its adjustable and vibrates. I needed a therapeutic bed due to serious slip& fall injury that will require knee surgery. The bed they delivered HAS NEVER DONE ANY OF THOSE THING. ITS NOT ADJUSTABLE AT ALL..ITS NOT EVEN THE BED I PAID FORITS BEEN MONTHS AND THE MANAGERS NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO RESPOND TO MY CALLS AND EMAILSDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERETHIS PLACE IS A BOGUS RIP OFF !!!!!!

I give the mattress 5 stars and the sales representative Teissa Barling 5 stars. We are very pleased with our mattress.However, we had a significant delay in Nationwide Delivery of the mattress and the base for the mattress was apparently lost by the delivery company. There also appears to be poor communication between the Corporate office and the store in Encinitas in solving the nationwide delivery problem. However, Teissa Barling, our sales representative, never stopped trying to get the delivery problem solved and was ultimately successful. She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, dedicated, and professional.
