I have been so impressed with the service and expertise provided by Ephrata Computer Repair. Steve quickly and accurately transferred the data from my old computer to a new one - when Apple said they didn’t have the capability to do this. In addition, he told me to call if/when I had questions about my new computer which I have done several times … my questions always answered perfectly! This business is a true GEM and I highly recommend it to others!

I took my phone their an paid $120 for them to fix it and then gave it back to me and the SIM card didn’t work anymore and payed another $80 and they gave it back to me and still didn’t work. Had to buy a whole new phone.

Dropped off my old slow laptop just before 6pm today and every upgrade I requested is complete!! Less than 24 hours.I was able to get a 240GB SSD and RAM upgraded at a very reasonable price. Tim kept me informed throughout the process.I would recommend them to anyone for computer upgrades.

I was pretty sure my tower had a faulty power supply but I wanted to be sure. Tim and his staff checked it out for me to confirm the issue with less than a days turn around time. They were incredibly responsive to my questions and helpful to get the info sent to me to get the process started for my warranty claim. Ill definitely be back if I have any tech issues.

Went there to get my PlayStation 2 quoted to get fixed. Tim declined it but I could understand why. Parking near the store is the only problem but there is a free 2 hour parking lot across the street.

Unfortunately my monitor was beyond repair but I was very please with the fact that they were honest and truthful that buying a new one was the best course of action. They also got back to me in 1 business day.

Tried to stiffarm me to give up my computer for 10% less AFTER we agreed on terms of sale. He tried claiming false defects not realizing I worked in IT and knew that he was talking nonsense.. Ended up going somewhere else. It felt like I was being manipulated and cheated. It seems as though he makes his money taking advantage of those that dont understand computers.

Tim and his crew are good people. Tim will be straight up with you and tell you if its worth fixing or not. Hes not out to repair something that should be replaced. Thats why I continue to take my business to him.

Called them to check on having Iphone screen replaced. Said could do it right away and only take an hour. Dropped it off and fixed my phone and even put a protector on free of charge. Highly recommend them. Great service

Chris was very helpful and answered all my questions, and took care of a damaged phone cell phone protection insurance diagnosis. He even helped me revive a phone I thought was not usable.The only thing he did not have was RAM sticks for my laptop. But I do not expect them to have everything. He at least pointed me in the right direction as to where to get them.

They replaced my Moto Z Play Droid phone battery when no one else around here could do it. Very reasonable price, saved me hundreds of dollars! The first battery they ordered was just a little bit too thick for my screen to attach properly, so they ordered another one and installed it at no extra charge!

This shop is the best! Super fast, low prices, and your device comes back better than new.I have taken multiple devices here - my mac laptop, iphone, then my nexus, and now google pixel. From button repair, or software issues, this shop is fast.What I like most is that Tim goes above and beyond, often times repairing things I didnt even know were not working well, and my devices come back fast and with improved functionality. He explains in simple language I can understand what the problems are, and how best to fix it.Their remote repair of my laptop has been the most helpful as I travel a lot and sometimes things dont work so well with the software. Then instead of finding a repair shop in another country, Tim can remote view and repair all kinds of issues with software, security, programs not running well, anything other than hardware.I prefer to mail my devices to this shop to have repair rather than have someone where i live in Miami overcharge me and barely fix the issues.Mentzer Repair Services are fast, honest, and over-deliver.

I had been to Mentzer Repair before for cell phone repairs but never for computer work, until earlier this month. I was very pleased with their service. The technician that helped me was extremely kind, patient and knew what he was doing. I was also very pleased with the cost considering everything they did for me. I will definitely go back there again!

Whenever I have had a computer issue, these guys fix it immediately. Either onsite or remotely, Tim has always been a phone call away from solving our problems. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my computers or the data they contain. I highly recommend these guys for repairs and service.

Had my laptop touchscreen replaced here, was done within just a couple of days, they super glued it back together, you can see the screen display from the side of the bezel and the display model from the side. Screen shuts off for a few seconds every time I plug it in to charge now. Didnt think it prudent to bring it back so they could RE-superglue it...yikes

Excellent, convenient service with a smile! I had a stuck SIM card slot, and they took two minutes out of their time to get it unstuck for me. I will definitely be going back for any serious repairs in the future!

Yesterday my desktop stopped working. Today, I dropped the machine off at 3 in the afternoon. About 7 pm (today), Tim called and told me a button style battery was dead and the computer was back in service. I couldnt believe how quickly the problem was diagnosed and repaired. More like zero stars⭐️. Charged me $50.00 to not fix my Blu-ray player. I took my Samsung Blu-ray player to them to repair. I even showed the guy a video of what the issue was. I picked it up when it was fixed. When I hooked it back up it had the same issue. I returned it to them and explained that nothing was different from when I originally dropped it off. I picked it up a second time and when I hooked it up it was actually worse than when I originally dropped it off. Absolutely worthless repair shop. 👎

Gave a fast, free, estimate. Repaired my screen perfectly, and they said its a 1 year warranty and to let me know if I have any more issues. Now THAT is service.

My PC wouldnt power on. On the Saturday morning before Easter Sunday. Not only was Mentzer Repair Services open, my PC was fixed up and outfitted with a new power supply, at a REALLY reasonable price, before I even got home from the errands I ran after I was at their shop. I was very impressed with the price and service, and Im pretty sure I found my new computer people for any future problems with PCs, tablets or our cell phones.

Took my phone there due to a charging issue. They told me it was still under warranty. They called Verizon for me to verify the warranty, and within two hours Verizon was shipping me a new phone. Super nice people!

Very pleased with our experience. We brought them a Nintendo DS thinking it needed a new charge port. It ended up having a bad logic board which would have cost a lot more for new parts. They offered to give us a different one (just like new) in the box for the same original estimate price in exchange for the old. My son is very happy!

Met Tim at Costco, gave me a card, stopped in with my Wifes laptop that was slow and almost not functioning, working great now. Stopped back with Gateway tower, cleaned it up, it to is back up to speed. Purchased a Dell monitor from the shop, funky startup button, they took it back, Chris fixed it and off and running. Absolutely would recommend Tim and Chris to work on any and all of my electronics and yours as well!!

Hey, I have been lets say to at least a few computer repair shops in my time. Mentzer Repair Services is the best one I have found. The guys are professional, fun to talk to, and honest. I came to them with a computer that was in dire need of a operating system upgrade, and a dying hard drive. Mentzer Repair took care of both my problems within hours. I know the amount of time my repair could take and was very surprised at the turn around, and the way they kept me up to date on the repair. The cost that I was charged was honest and fair. I was attending a drag race at Maple Grove, PA and my PC died. Tim was able to sell me a used Dell for a killer price and he transferred all my data from the old PC to the used one. A few seeks later I called him about an issue and he spent quite a bit of time ironing it out. A few months later he fixed another issue. Here it is over a year after the sale and he fixed another issue....all these issues were repaired through Team Viewer and at no time did he charge me for his time! I just wish he was here in Indianapolis instead of in PA....I would not hesitate to call him in the future for any need.

My iPhone 7 had a cracked screen, I called Mentzers to make sure that they were able to fix the iPhone 7 model. They worked with my schedule, and got the screen replaced within an hour. They were great!

Fantastic service! I had trouble running Sony Vegas on my new laptop. Another local repair shop couldnt figure out the problem (although they wanted to charge me $75 an hour just to try). I went to Mentzer and they identified the problem within a few hours - and their total service fee was less than the other place would have charged for just one hours worth of investigation! I got my laptop back the same day and the Vegas software has worked perfectly ever since. I couldnt be happier with my experience. If I have any more computer issues Im definitely going back to Mentzer.

Ive been here twice for help with repairs and the lack of knowledge is scary. Anyone Ive known to have paid these people for help was told, after a long while, that the equipment brought in was unrepairable. Im 95% sure this place is either a front for illicit activities, or a chop shop for computer parts, or both.

I really like this place, the guys there are honest and price cant be beat, they always help me out with whatever things I need repaired - I highly recommended.

My iPhone4s screen cracked and I was undecided about fixing it; I didnt want to mail it away. Menzters fixed it in under an hour for less $$ than the mail in places and way less than Apple charges. Plus they were friendly and gave me an appointment the same day. My phone went from broken to almost brand new in a few hours.It is great to find people with the skills to fix expensive gadgets in our throw-away world. I will definitely bring future projects to Mentzer Repair and I highly recommend them for fast, reasonable, high quality work.

This place has my business over any other store...i had no network service on my phone. I was in a panic because it is Good Friday (I was worried nothing would be open Easter weekend) and i am getting my grandson in a few hours. I must have a phone just in case of an emergency. No phone or texting, the gentleman there got me back on my network in 30 seconds and then showed me how to fix it if it happens again. He refused to take my money and said, you giving me a review on yelp or Google or thumbtack will mean more to me than money. I will never go to an Apple store for repairs again! I have been to Mentzer Repair a few times in the past couple years to have my macbook checked out, updated, and a few viruses removed--I have always gotten honest, friendly, fast service, and fair prices. The guys there have always been very kind and knowledgeable with all my problems and questions.The last time I went there I needed my computer checked for viruses and updated, if needed, to the recommendations of the medical school I will be attending next month--I didnt realize, but my computer was already up-to-date for school--Tim checked it over, but did not even charge me! He could have lied and said it needed some updates, and I never would have known, but he was honest and that is something I greatly appreciate--Thanks Tim!My laptop is 6 years old, and at the Apple store when I bought it, they told me my computer would last 7 to maybe 10.. the last time I took it to the Apple store several years ago, they said I would need a whole new computer when I started medical school!--but at Mentzer Repair they told me it should last another 5-10+ years from now! They will always be my go-to for electronic repairs/advice--I would recommend them to everyone!

Something has happened to this business since the other reviews were left. It is just awful. The owner is a scam artist. As I picked up my laptop months after dropping it off I ran into another customer with similar problems. So fed up he was taking his stuff to a different company. If only these other reviews were here before I lost so much time and money.Save yourself while you can and find a different company to help you out.

Terrible experience. I had a phone with a broken screen, and when trying to fix it I accidentally broke the antenna. I brought it to these guys and they fixed the screen and the antenna, but they gave me a really crappy antenna and when they fixed the screen they left tape all around the edges of my phone. Also, the front facing camera is all messed up because when they put in the replacement they got dust all over it. The lack of attention to detail is absolutely terrible. Would not go again.

Absolutely horrible customer service! Very rude when asking them about how they treat customers (meaning someone I heard them get rude with and then called them to question what happened and they blatantly lied). They apparently dont like questions because just stating a simple thing such as you dont want them opening your stuff until done with a scan to make sure its brand new and not refurbished and asking why they opened your purchase is out of the question! Claimed I would get a refund but doesnt have the ability to provide it because they dont have the money is a bit odd if you ask me. Not sure how they run their business and by the looks of it...not too well if you question them or if you know things that an average person going to a shop might not. And who offers a refund but doesnt have money? BBB complaint filed. I went against the horrible things I heard of this place by mouth and shopped with them but I definitely will NOT make that mistake ever again.

Fixed my console but erased everything i had in it, doing something i didnt even ask for and charged me 70% of what the console costs itself.

Great little downtown repair shop, honest work, great prices

We took our iPod to get a cracked screen fixed. They quoted a week to get it back and promised we wouldnt lose any information. A month later we called to see what the progress was. They stated that they attempted to fix it but broke the screen trying. They said they would try again. 3 weeks later it still wasnt fixed. At that point we asked to pick it up and they said 2 more days. We thought okay. Went back on the third day and it still wasnt completely finished. We took it home to realize they attempted to fix it but the screen was coming off and the start button was missing. We choose Mentzer because they promised we wouldnt lose any information instead of taking it to Apply where they would just have replaced it. Now, we lost all information and have no iPod to use. They didnt even offer to give us back our deposit but at the same time didnt charge us. We are extremely disappointed.
