EXTREMELY pushy!! They kept telling my husband someone was there with cash wanting to buy the vehicle we were looking at, which my husband didnt fall for, but it started to get old fast. Its been a week since we decided not to buy the vehicle and its still listed. The salesman kept asking if my husband wasnt serious about buying a vehicle just because he said he wanted a night to think about it. And then when we decided that it wouldnt fit our budget he called again and asked if we were ever serious about buying a vehicle. Now I just got our loan request information in the mail from the bank and I am furious! We were applying for a vehicle that was $9,999 and putting $2000 down. Why on earth were they trying to find financing for $12,120.90??? We would only need $7,999 plus fees! Crooks. Im sure they were preparing to push something more expensive on us. If I ever shop there again I will most certainly ask for a different salesman, but I doubt theyll ever have my business.
They treated me with respect. I especially liked Kenneth my salesman hes very courteous and went through a lot of lot of work to get me the car that I wanted. I definitely will think about Kendall in the future.
I have worked with Kenneth Fulk to get a new vehicle for my family of 6, and he was very helpful and very determined to help us choose the best vehicle that suits us. I feel that he as done his job superbly and I am very happy he made it happen.
John Miller in the service dept. Is so easy to talk with. I do a lot of my own work on my car, but there are some things I leave to the pros. He is patient and understands a lot about mechanics. Good sense of humor also. He never runs out of options for me to take with my car for repair. The mechanic does clean and quality work. They make getting your car repaired easy.
Kenneth Fulk is super friendly and he helped me find the perfect vehicle within my budget. The truck had just arrived on the lot when I stopped in to see what was available, but he kept me updated while it was being prepared. I highly recommend Kendall Auto. Ask for Kenneth!
I have bought many cars in my time but this was the most easiest and funniest process ive ever been thought i would highly recommend Kendall Ford OF Fairbanks to my family .Thank u, Rod J Hallapy
After having my Corolla for 5 years, I can confidently say that it was worth buying from Kendall. The maintenance department does need work but they are the only Toyota dealer in Fairbanks so I can’t fault them for their scheduling and limited options. The only thing that I am still salty about is getting penalizes for running a credit inquiry when I bought the car outright.
We had an amazing experience with Kendall of Fairbanks. Joe and Diego helped us get the car of our dream within 3 days. They we’re so accommodating, nice and kept us informed of everything. A TRD Pro in the Lunar Rock was just a dream and they made it come true; so we thank you Kendall of Fairbanks. Although we live in Anchorage, we wouldn’t mind going through another process of getting a car in the future with them again.
We bought a Toyota Tacoma from Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks. They made it so easy and were very friendly! Financing and all that were taken care of by them and they showed me all the bells and whistles of my new vehicle (I was upgrading from a 1990 Toyota pickup! Which also still works well btw. Go Toyota!). I was able to drive away in my beautiful new truck within 24 hours. Thanks Kendall!
I love my truck. I bought it in 2018 and they have really helped with the maintenance to keep it in order.
Amazing customer service and very helpful when it cam to any questions i had
Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. My 4Runner has been there 24 hours for a warranty repair and no one will even give me a progress update. Called twice today. Last excuse I got was everyone in the service department went home they “should” call you in the morning.
Man, these guys were swamped with limited vehicles to choose from. Not the dealerships issue. This is supply issues from the factory. I would give any Fairbanks new car dealership an average rating. They just dont have the hustle of what you find in the lower 48. Very limited competition to make them have an A Game. They live by the theory, if you dont buy it, someone else will. This truly is a problem in an area that services car sales for an area the size of New Jersey. Lived here over ten years and there is no salesmanship drive.....
We purchased three vehicles from this dealer over a decade. Unfortunately, we will NEVER use Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks again. Our most recent experience was the deciding factor. We dropped our vehicle off early for an 1130 service appointment. We went over at 1615 to check on the progress, and the service department didnt even touch our car yet. When my husband expressed his dissatisfaction with the entire process with the customer service individual servicing him, another individual intervened, shouting that he was flagged. He then accused my husband of cursing at employees. My husband explained that he used profanity to express his discontent with the lack of notification and a previous service appointment where the service department left the console for our vehicle unattached, not at the customer service representative. At that point, they called a manager to deal with my husband. I had no idea that a customer could be flagged for expressing his discontent with service as a customer. When the manager came, I asked if my husbands race had anything to do with him being flagged, but he vehemently denied that my husbands race was a factor in how the service department treated him. Mr. Bushke apologized for the horrendous service we received but the lack of customer service was appalling. We are done with this business and I intend on filing with the BBB.
Expect to be put on hold and transfered multiple times. Received recall notice for airbag, and they were unable to explain how and why they would need to inspect my airbag first before making an appointment to actually fix the recalled airbag despite it being something identifiable to VIN.
Very rude to deal with from the sales personnel all the way up to the sales manager. Tried selling me a “like new” Tacoma that had 168 miles on it. They sold it two days ago for $43,000 new. They bought it back for $35,000 and then tried selling it to me used for $40,000. Said what they paid was irrelevant and that 20 people behind me would pay that price. This is the most greedy car dealership I’ve ever dealt with. And I have purchased/leased 10 vehicles. Would not recommend going to the Kendall Toyota. Worst experience at a dealership ever. For anyone who had trouble following all the numbers. They wanted to make $5,000 off of me when they didn’t even have to do anything with it except paperwork.
The vehicle that I purchased was slightly used (3500 miles). I paid a premium for the vehicle, slightly above MSRP. The vehicle was not clean and I asked for it to be cleaned before I picked it up. I got it home to find food crumbs and trash under the front seats and the backs seats. Before purchasing, the salesman and the manager couldnt seem to provide me with any details about a lease or financing, even though Toyota advertises such deals. Also the sales manager was rude and not helpful when appraising my vehicle for trade-in. Ive never had much luck dealing with this dealership and this time was no different.
My friend bought a car here, I recommended him to buy a car from them, they agreed to give me a birdie. A check for recommendation him to buying a car there, at first they said there was a interruption on the check because he did not have insurance from alaska, then they asked for my ss number, i gave to them, then they said the check was mailed to me, then they said that the check was mailed to me and it was cashed by me, i did not receive a check from them at all. Then they said there is nothing that they could do and asked me to call the bank, i told them why dont they call the bank, because they can identify who cashed forged the check, they replied no we cannot, i then hung up, this is bad business and made me feel like a thief, which i am not, i have a good job and dont need their money ir their runaround, very bad company, would not recommend them again ever ever
Went in to look at a vehicle from and called back the next day and made my offer and came to an agreement and told them id come pick it up that evening, was told to put in a finance application to be able to hold the car and lock it in for me then when i showed up to sign papers that evening it was sold to someone else. My credit was still hard checked by them to “lock in the vehicle” Do not say you will hold or lock in a car for someone then sell it to someone else.
Professionalism at its finest, very friendly atmosphere and staff to accommodate any vehicle needs. Fairbanks being a special climate city you can trust these folks to get you into the right, dependable vehicle.
Always a pleasure to have their service!
Nice place, on schedule, no hassles.
Appointment was kept and has me out in 1 hour. Thanks
I love the car and it’s amazing and I love how it drives unfortunately it had a crack on the front bumper but I let the mechanic fix it so I’m still not driving it at this moment Bc it’s still at the shop but I love the car
I would give 0 stars if I could. I was in the process of buying a Certified Pre-Owned WRX from Ken. Kendall’s website said it was a CPO as did the salesman. When I was signing papers, I found out the engine had been replaced. When I questioned it, the finance lady got the salesman and she left for the day. The salesman now remembered the engine had been replaced because he took in the car when it was traded. He recognized his own handwriting on the paperwork. It was a huge red flag but I was still going to go ahead with it because it had a CPO warranty of 7 year/100k mi. I sat there for a good 30 minutes until another guy came to finish the paperwork. We get to the warranty paperwork and it said 6 month/6k mi warranty. When I questioned that, I found out the car isn’t a CPO and was never certified. I overhear the finance guys saying it’s going to cost the dealership $1k to certify it so they would have to raise the price. At this time I stand up and am ready to leave. Another finance guy comes over and tells me it’s not certified but he could sell me a warranty. What a joke of a dealership. I wasted my whole day on false advertising, dishonesty, and disrespect at the end. The balls of these guys to try to sell me a warranty at the end.
We went car shopping today and our salesman I think meant well, but it came off as not the type of place we want to do business at, which sucks because I love Toyota’s and Subarus. We really wanted a 3rd row suv or van. The sales guy made us kind of upset because he kept questioning us about what we could afford and making comments about how high the price was. As two younger people it did feel as if he kept questioning our ability to afford these vehicles we were looking at. Just some kind advice to not pre judge your customers. I work at a hospital my husbands a NCO in the military, if were looking at it we can afford it, and don’t appreciate being questioned on it. In the future they might politely ask what we do and we’d be happy to tell them. Now we have to look at used Toyota’s/ Subarus elsewhere in town.
They made my situation right with the used car I bought.
I just moved to Alaska a couple weeks ago and gave Toyota a call to see if they could winterize my vehicle. They’re trying to charge me $700+!!! I can get everything I need to do it myself for $150. I guess they don’t care about their customers out here unfortunately because I’ve had nothing but good experience with Toyota in different states. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere and getting my vehicle winterized from another shop that isn’t going to scam me.
Poor salesmanship on part of Brian Garcia who also did not have the best attitude. Terrible business practice all around to not hold true to your word during sale of a vehicle. Selling a vehicle out from under someone after moving forward with running credit is absolutely sleazy car sales. Sales member does not care about finding and meeting the needs of a customer, only pushy and unethical sales tactics.
I would highly recommend this car dealership. I would recommend going to Kenneth, he was so helpful and a joy to work with! I came to the dealership with a used car from another dealership to check the VIN and ask about the current warranty, he had no problem helping me and didnt try to sell me a car. When he came back with the report I was looking at a used car and he didnt pressure or anything and this car was 3000 over my budget, and if it was a sales man that didnt want to help me when i needed it, I probably wouldnt have asked about my now Pacifia. Kenneth did an amazing job and my family and I couldnt be happier!
Sales person was welcoming and knew what they had.
We stopped in after getting some information from the service department over the phone that didnt make sense. We met with Mr. Bushke and he was not only helpful but also apologetic for what we went through. This man represents what every service department should be like. Thank you for your help.
I really just have nothing but great things to say about Kendall. First off I want to give a huge thanks to Kenneth Fulk for being extremely helpful. He got me the best deal when I was selling my car. He may be young, but that doesnt matter, he was both intelligent and personable the entire time. I also want to give a huge thanks to Michael Bushke in service. He managed to find a mistake where I overpaid on a service two years ago and got me that money back. Like I said, nothing but GREAT things to say about this place!
Never ever ever will I deal with this Kendall company again. I drove 6 hours from The Valley to buy a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder from them. I was sold the car with the wrong size tires. I was sold the car with bad brakes and rotors. I even purchased the 1 yr extended warranty and they will not even cover the oil changes that I was told was in my warranty. I purchased this car 6/27/2020. Today is 12/7/2020. No way in less than 6 months I have gone thru brakes and rotors and to top it off the thing that keeps my gas door closed broke a week after I had the car. The worst customer service EVER when trying to get them to cover a simple diagnostic and my FREE oil change. These 2 things have cost me $250 out of pocket. Not to mention NOW I have to go out and buy new tires. I would NoT suggest doing business with these guys at all!!!
No one likes to answer the phone. always have to wait for a call back. on the other hand that could be a good thing because theyre busy
Great work as always. They do a thorough inspection while vehicle is getting an oil change. They catch small issues before they become large expensive issues. Thanks for the great job.
This dealership really has gone down hill in the last few years. The service at both the sales side and the service side is really poor. It’s really a shame for both Toyota and Fairbanks because the product is awesome!
Kenneth here did an awesome job helping me trade my vehicle in for a Tacoma!! I got a great deal and am so happy I went in. Thank you!!!!
Weve had a very positive experience with Kendall. We purchased two used cars with them, each with warranties. Both cars have been reliable and stable, and when theyve needed to enter the shop, Kendall has done a great job taking care of them. Kendall has even generously not charged us a few times, when their mechanics were not able to confirm that there was a problem with the cars. We expect to continue using Kendall for our local automotive needs. Kendall did not ask us to leave this review.
I am soooo happy with my ENTIRE experience at Kendall. David Spaulding was phenomenal and the financing was awesome (Thanks Amber). I’ve purchased several cars from Kendall, but it has been a while. I’m so satisfied with the amazing, good old fashion customer service. THANK YOU!!!!
Wonderful service, especially David, thank you!
Last year I took my RAV4 in for an oil change. I live more than 100 .miles from the dealer, and on my way home all the check engine lights and warning lights come on, and stay on. The engine was running rough. I checked under the hood and saw an empty hole where they forgot to plug something back in. Turned around and drove back to Kendall. They fixed it and reset the warning lights. I asked that they make a note and just make sure that it doesnt happen again. My last oil change in September they did it again! Engine ran so rough that I didnt even make it out of the parking lot, so at least I didnt have to drive very far this time.
People at this place are very kind and helpful.
My entire experience at Kendall Toyota was very positive, starting with my interaction with Elizabeth Kerr. I am very satisfied with the purchase of the 2015 Tundra Crewmax. I own a 2000 Toyota Tundra Access Cab that I bought new in Fairbanks. After 17 years of satisfaction I could not seriously consider another brand of truck. I am looking forward to many years of ownership of this Crewmax.
Wonderful and satisfying service for purchasing a new Highlander! Sales person answered and explained all our questions about options, colors, and availability. Car was delivered prepared and before promised date. Thank you Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks!
Friendly place no salesperson to bug you, you look around if you need help they help you.
Called to set up my 10K mile oil change and tire rotation and they said they could get me in, IN A MONTH! My vehicle will be 1K miles over due for service by the time they finally “have time” to bring my vehicle in. Correct me if I’m wrong but the population of Fairbanks is not that big... so how is it that in other states that are way more populated they can get me in immediately? I have the first 3 oil changes for free which came with my new car and once that is finished I will be taking my business elsewhere.
SAL is a great asset in Kendall. All his focus is to satisfied the customer in a way to honor Kendall as well. He has done smoothly coordination during the sale and closed it perfectly and on time. I am really happy to purchase my car there. He did a great job from the starting to close the sell. He deserves a promotion.
None of the phone numbers listed on the website are active phone numbers. There is no way to contact this business over the phone. I guess Im going to have to buy a care somewhere else.
Great staff and service. Knowledgeable team!
Excellent team, i walked out with exactly what i was looking for! William Ray took the time to really make sure i understood everything hands on. Showed me the vehicle and everything about it, all the controls and everything and i didn’t feel rushed or pressured which is a big bonus!
I felt warmly welcomed upon entering Kendall dealership. Employees were attentive, competent and customer-friendly. I felt thoroughly advised by the dealership, especially by Rocky Burbank who was my personal sales person. He did a great job at genuinely answering all my questions. I felt he made sure I came home satisfied. Here is an example of an exceptional service and how Kendall Toyota Fairbanks handled a specific problem: The car I purchased (Jeep Patriot 2015) had issues with the power steering pressure hose within 1 week of purchase; it suddenly leaked after driving the car for 3 days. The dealership was quick and efficient at solving the issue; they agreed upon covering the cost since it was close after purchase date. Fast forward, its been about 2 months since purchase date and my Jeep Patriot has been driving great. Overall, Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks seems to live up to their mission of providing excellent customer service. I highly recommend this dealership in Fairbanks.
I love the staff! Fun and they take good care of their customers! Shout out to Steve, Bryan and Diego! Y’all are awesome! Thanks for hooking me up with a sweet ride!
Great care and professionalism. Also great vehicles for sale.
WIlliam our salesman was very helpful with our Rav 4 Hybrid purchase. I didnt think we would be able to close in one afternoon but William and the staff at Kendall Alaska in Fairbanks made it look easy. It has been a pleasure purchasing a vehicle from their very capable staff.
I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel that my experience here necessitates one. I came to look at a specific new vehicle a few weekends ago with my family. When we arrived, we could not find anyone to help us. It took 30 minutes plus of wandering around before we finally found a salesman to ask to see the inside of the vehicle we wanted. This particular salesman had no interest in selling this vehicle to us. In fact, he tried to show us everything else in the lot that we WEREN’T interested in. He also proceeded to say that they probably weren’t interested in my trade in vehicle (a Jeep Wrangler in great condition that was only a few years old). We decided to leave, and I figured I would try again with someone else the next day. I went the online route a few days later, and it took forever for someone to contact me back (this is with 2 attempts on my end). When I finally get someone, I am told that they would put together the bottom line price on the vehicle I wanted after speaking with the manager. A few days passed, and I still didn’t hear anything back. I called a few more times, and finally received the quote. The quote was higher than the price listed online. They were not willing to budge, nor offer a military discount. I decided to take my business to Anchorage, and I am so glad I did. I ultimately got a much better deal and had a very pleasant buying experience. I would never come back here.
I’d try to get the car you’re looking at checked over by a third party before you buy. My car had bat wipers and a bad battery. 4 stars because the price was great : ) the used car manager was terrible though, practically wanted to fight my dad.
Great customer service and a lot of obvious team playing going back and forth. I came in on a busy Saturday and Luke the floor manager was running everything on his own. you could tell he was doing everything but he kept it very professional and executed a good customer service.
My experience with Kendall was nothing less than wonderful. The staff were all super friendly and I drove away with my dream vehicle! Special shout out to Bryan, the Sales Representative who assisted me. He was super fun to work with and I would recommend working with him to anyone who wants an exceptionally fun (and funny!) experience. =)Thanks, Kendall!
Kenneth Fulk was easy to work with. He listened to what we were looking for and walked us through several options available on a couple Toyota models. He wasnt pushy and was very patient with our questions and concerns. All in all, he did a fabulous job making this purchase super simple. Diego was super efficient with the financing side of things as well. We would purchase through Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks again!
Kenneth Fulk at Kendall was very helpful and a joy to work with. I was able to walk away with the truck of my dreams (Toyota Tundra Platinum).
Kennith Fulk From Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks helped my wife and I get into a 2020 4Runner! He was a huge help and met all of our needs! Highly recommend buying a vehicle from here.
Generally good customer service. I just wish Dean called me back about the engine coil issue like he said he would. (Tech notes said all coils were in bad shape and #3 failed) Tech only replaced #3 coil. Charges $160 for 1 coil AND charged 1 hour shop labor. A 5 year old with supervision could replace a coil in 10 minutes. To be honest I’m glad they only replaced 1 coil because I could buy and replace 8 coils for less than $300, but I still feel taken advantage of and want other customers to review service tech notes more closely than I did.Make sure to review bill before handing over card. I didn’t make a big deal of it because it seems like they did quality work and I had a positive interaction with Dean.
Just bought a new civic today. Excellent experience, above and beyond customer service. They truly exceeded my expectations for car sales. 100% would recommend to anyone. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, they earned it.
Great experience. Working with Joe was a pleasure. He very helpful in me choosing the right car. I went to every car dealership in town and had the best experience with Toyota. The car is excellent!
I had servicing done to my vehicle and David B. helped me through the whole process. He answered all of my questions and kept me informed. Dustin helped me kill the wait time by talking to me about trucks and pricing. I enjoyed my time here.
I never leave reviews, but this experience was so horrific, i feel compelled to warn others. We had learned years ago to steer clear of this shady dealership - ever since it has become kendall, the service has been horrible, so much so, that we bought our new truck.outside (for $8000 less than here). But, when it came time for warrenty work (standard 10000 mile oil change service), we took it in.First, the day of our appointment, the computers were down, so we showed up and were turned away. We had to reschedule. Ok, stuff happens, but we never recieved a phone call to save us a trip or let us know when they were able to reschedule us.Second, i had to give the vehicle to the service guy, then go talk to a service advisor. Really? For an oil change? Then the snotty nosed kid (literally) with his mask.half askew did nothing but gripe about other employees and.then remove his.mask to sneeze!Third, after that experience and being too traumatized at.my.potential covid exposure to return, my husband picked up the vehicle - from a guy wearing NO MASK at all. Despite signs on the doors of the dealership reassuring us of their mask wearing covid safety policies DONT BELIEVE IT! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Ken in the Service Department is one of the best “go the extra mile” individuals I have ever had the opportunity to work with. There were issues with quality of work from technicians and the detailing staff. He worked hard to rectify those issues, prioritized communication with me, and showed other employees how to do their jobs with excellence. I was planning on never working with this company again. Ken changed that completely.
And just like that, all the reasons why I stopped doing business with Kendall in Fairbanks came flooding back to me. I specifically asked for an air filter change with my “complimentary” oil change—stated to my service advisor Adam that I knew there would be an additional charge but I would like the air filter changed. To which he replied, “Since we don’t carry Ford parts, we will have to order the oil filter and air filter from Seekins.” Okay, got it—order the filters. After waiting in their lobby for two hours, I get a call that my truck was done but in the multipoint inspection it was noted it needs a new air filter. Ummmmmm....I asked for that to be changed when I checked in with Adam. Well, he didn’t order the filter or note it (I guess) and now I get to sit here for ANOTHER two hours while they order the air filter. And all I get is an “oops.”
Great team. Will be more satisfied if I have all info about the car upfront. One key for the car instead of Two for safety. All car need to have distance starter remote but mine doesnt. After all you have great time and good customer service.
Service department was fast, professional and wary of my schedule. Low cost rentals are available for those who need them. Very satisfied with my visit and will return in the future.
Salespeople were great, took a while but was worth it. The 2020 Tacoma is a great vehicle and is my 3rd Tacoma with each getting nicer and better built.
Brought in my 2019 4runner in today for anOil change. Service was great and fast.
Great customer service. Completely satisfied.Van is everything I wanted and more.
About a month ago, I had just bought a 2005 Toyota 4runner. It was due for an oil change, and I was wanting to get a safety inspection too. Took my car in, got the work done on it, got my car back, no safety concerns on the inspection, so everything was pretty good! The next day, I looked under my hood to check an oil leak I had known about and I saw an single quart oil container that was right on top of my serpentine belt (see picture)! Took it back, was told that it was a rare mistake their techs made, they cleaned the engine bay and assured me that the serpentine belt was still in working condition. Hoping for a better experience, I had called and scheduled specifically a pre buy inspection with the quote initially being $130 for the 3 hour inspection. Well, the service coordinator I had initially worked with was busy when I came in, so I had to work with a different service coordinator. I was told that the inspection I was quoted for was the right amount of time but too low of a charge for a pre buy inspection, which should be about $200. The coordinator also said that I seemed fairly familiar with the vehicles issues, so he suggested that I just get an engine bay inspection instead, which was $181. I was trying to make a point that I wanted to make sure that the issues I knew of were the only issues the vehicle had. However, I was assured that the engine bay inspection was the better option because I would get the issues I knew about inspected along with getting my car back quicker. When I went to pick up my car, I was told there was a timing cover leak and given a quote of over $3000 to fix it by my first service coordinator. To add insult to injury, when I took it to get a quote from other shops, they said the serpentine belt was significantly worn from the plastic and the oil leak, so it will need a replacement regardless. Also, an engine steam and oil dye test confirmed the oil leak in the timing cover, but also revealed other leaks that Kendall didnt even mention. Im disappointed because the customer service was actually pretty good and the people I talked to seemed to really care that I was getting the most out of the situation, but the actual work done on the vehicle just didnt follow through.
I had called to make an appointment and explained vibration in my vehicle. The scheduling person suggested I do a walk in, so I did. I was there for 2 hours and they said I would need to make an appointment and come back later. It took 2 weeks to schedule me to come back. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 30 minutes early. I explained major vibration when reaching speeds between 25-55 mph. 4 hours after my vehicle went into the back, they told me they could not determine why my truck was vibrating. They recommended a balance of my tires so I agreed. Once balancing was complete, I went to pay and they charged me $252. Two weeks later, my truck started to vibrate violently. I figured they really didnt know what they were doing, so I am taking my truck to someone who does. It is quite a bummer there are no good mechanics in Fairbanks. Too many of them prefer to take short cuts which is why I try to do all of my basic maintenance myself.
From the moment I walked in the staff at Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks balanced well helpfulness with no pressure! Eric & Dustin were most helpful, attentive, laid back, & knowledgeable.
Service was great! David got my car checked in in a timely manner and made sure everything I needed done on my 4 Runner would be done that day. Called when it was finished and went over what was completed when I pick up the vehicle. As Ive already stated, GREAT SERVICE!
Horrible services been there 5 hours waiting for my oil change, they scheduling me drop my car at 1pm and by 5:30 they never ever touch my vehicle. Poor services and the manager are so rude. Never ever recommend this dealer at all
A great big shout out for service advisor David Bolt!!!! David always greets you with a friendly smile that he backs up with his professional and kind service. He explains everything so i can understand and will call if anything is out of the service agreement that I brought it in for. I always look for him in hopes of having him as my advisor!! Thanks David Bolt!!
I recently bought a new 17 Tacoma from Kendall in Fairbanks. I just want to say that from the moment I arrived I was treated with respect and wasnt pushed or pressured into doing anything i didnt want to do. I still own the last Tacoma I bought new in 98 so for me there was going to be no second choice. The 98 has been the best, most reliable vehicle Ive ever owned and I expect nothing less from my new one. I highly recommend Kendall to anyone considering a new or used vehicle.
Love the people here!
We went in hoping to look at a used Tacoma or Tundra and were horribly let down by the lack of customer service. I know they said they were busy, but didn’t even bother to point us in the right direction or get up to show us where we could find the kind of truck we were looking for. Definitely will NOT be returning.
When I pulled up to the service door I was guided in and signaled when to stop. The guide asked me if I had an appointment and I said, Quick Lube. He directed me to the Quick Lube window. They checked in my vehicle and told me, about an hour. Time was 9:05.At 10:02 my vehicle was finished, a thorough explanation of what was done and I was on my way. Well done!
They have the worst service department. You make an appointment but then they dont even work on your car that day or they dont have the parts yet that were ordered and pre-paid before your appt. They dont figure that out until the end of the day because they havent even started on your car which was promised to only take a 1/2 day. this has happened to me repeatedly including today!
My daughter is stationed in fairbanks looking for a new car called wanted to charge 36000 for the same vehicle here I could get it for 24500 rav 4 se salesman said it was upgraded with bigger tires and offroad suspension to justify it 11000 for tires and upgraded suspension I said I could have one shipped for 1200 dollars he said do it without hesitation or negotiating will take my business less elsewhere
Like any other salesman promised the world and delivered nothing. It took them 5 days to finally get a hold of me and they could not deliver on their word, with $5k in hand they still could not approve me, dont bother, try somewhere else. Who lets $5k walk??
My experience with Kendall Toyota was very positive. I was deciding between ordering a Grand Cherokee or 4Runner. I ultimately ordered the 4Runner Trail Premium because of Toyotas reputation for reliability, it offered the desired features at a competitive price, and I had an overall more positive experience with Kendall compared to Genes Chrysler.I built both vehicles online and then visited each dealer. I discovered that Jeeps website was out of date and my online build was completely different from what I could actually order and also considerably more expensive.Toyota was much more straightforward. My build was indeed what I could order and at the advertised price. I worked with Jesse Derrick and Mike Persinger at Kendall. Both individuals clearly explained the ordering process and promptly took care of the paperwork. The 4Runner arrived on time and as ordered. The factory forgot to install the running boards, but Mike quickly resolved the issue and they should be installed within the next week or two.Mike did an excellent job explaining the Trail Premiums features. He also thoroughly reviewed the maintenance plan and gave a tour of Kendalls service departments. Mike and Jaclyn expeditiously completed the final purchasing paperwork and thoroughly explained the offered service packages.Mike, Jesse, Jaclyn, and the entire Kendall staff were professional and provided an extremely positive buying experience.
I bought a 2007 Toyota Tacoma here last week. So impressed with the way I was treated. Never pressured, very easy to work with. Worked with Nick The sales Mgr, and Michael Franklin as my sales rep. Both were great. I was more then pleased and would recommend these guys and the entire place. Had a little issue with the heater, got me right back in, and right out. Finance person (forget her name) was really great. I was already pre-approved, but she was very easy to work with and offered a great deal on a warranty package. 5 Star rating from me.
Wonderful experience buying a new vehicle here, Lisa was very helpful and always was able to answer our questions. I noticed how child friendly they all were which is so great to see in a dealership when it can take a bit of time to complete the paperwork. My three little ones liked the play space and it occupied them nicely. The entire buying process did not take long and we left with a vehicle same day!!
Good customer service!
Recently had my 2003 Tundra in for routine LOF maintenance at 100K. Service Department found lower ball joints loose, McPherson struts worn out and rear shocks gone too. I was suspicious as I hadnt noticed anything unusual about the driving experience and it was an expensive repair. But, I went ahead and did it and asked to see the old parts. They were well toasted, so no BS. Repairs conducted in a timely manner, they gave me a free rental when they had to keep the rig overnight and the final cost was under estimate. More importantly, the truck now feels new and drives like a dream. I had no idea how loose it was feeling before the repair. I guess you adapt to the long term wear that is always happening. My Service Adviser was David Bolt and he was a pleasure to work with. Ive been going to Kendall Fairbanks for all my service on this rig since I got it used in December of 2011 and have no reason to think of taking it anywhere else. All Service Advisers have been helpful and knowledgeable and I have grown to trust them all. All repairs they have suggested have needed fixing and their shuttle is a welcome perk for a single person with only 1 vehicle.
I purchased a 2018 4Runner a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! The staff a Kendall were super helpful and courteous. They provided excellent customer service! Thank you Kendall Toyota for helping me with buying my dream car!!
Ordered a bolt that was out of stock and still waiting a month later for a call that the part is in. Talked to other Toyota owners and found this is normal procedure for them. The repair shop is very good, but hard to get appointments from. Lots of waiting involved. Still havent had the recalled airbags fixed after 2 visits.
Service department is is extremely slow took 3 weeks for an appointment for a oil change. Was told I could try walk-in but was pretty much told that I would have to wait multiple hrs but went with the appointment an still have waited almost 2 hrs for my vehicle to be done. I even called around to the other dealerships an was told I could get in same day but I really like Toyota up until this appointment I would not recommend this for anyone to get routine maintenance an if it hadnt been free from the Toyota care plan I would not have came here also recently bought a vehicle here from the Subaru side of the house the sales agent didnt know how to set everything up I ended up googling it when I got home since my wife did the initial setup with the salesman an its intended to be her vehicle also still waiting on the call from Toyota about the 4Runner I had some questions about I tend to go through vehicles 1 or 2 times a year my last4 vehicles have all been Toyota cant get enough of them but Kendall Toyota has ruined thatWould NOT recommend this place also the finance department is absolutely the slowest I have ever dealt with
15K service on a 4Runner we purchased from this dealership. Air cleaner box clips not secured, wiper fluid not serviced, cowling above radiator not secured (buttons broken/not replaced) and....tires rotated but the technician must have used a magic socket. No dirt disturbed on the wheel lugs.....poor service and the Service Manager failed to return my phone call....Service manager contacted me after my Google review. Cordial and offered to correct the issues I mentioned.
Joe Hughes was a great sales person and I would recommend him and buy from him again. He brokered an excellent deal for me. The short time I was there I interacted with a couple other sales people and they were all very friendly and considerate.
