They are happy to help and are good at setting you up with an account and a new device. That part was smooth and I enjoyed it.When I choose to switch carries they made it the most difficult to close a device that I had been paying for. I lost 500 dollars due to being set aside and not helped because they didnt want to acknowledge me and did not provide support. This last phone call of being on hold for 2.25 hours to be told I cannot get my full 600 back in credited GB unused is BS. Go with At&t or someone else...they do not put customers first
I went in just to get a pop socket and new case for my iPhone 12 pro max and immediately was helped by a wonderful worker named Tori. She is an absolute sweetheart and went out of her way to ask me what kind of cases I liked and grabbed a whole section from the back for me along with a bunch of pop sockets. She debated which one I should pick when I asked for her input along with how good the cases were with drop protection and what styles go best with which. She is an absolute sweet heart and goes above and beyond at her job. I recommend going here if you need anything phone/ Verizon related and saying hello to her !! She deserves a raise.
Awesome the people there were very very helpful!
Professionalisms is lacking. The store manager, Brandon, was completely rude when I went in to get their error correct on an upgrade transaction. Claimed he couldn’t help me because he was “taking care of the door”, but then helped the next person that walked in after I was helped by another rep. Funny enough Brandon became somewhat helpful AFTER I actually went through with the upgrade refund. A little too late at that point.GM was supposed to call me today to figure out how to refund money I paid at the store, I guess their reps can’t issue refunds. Heard nothing all day. But with the attitude from the employees I’m not shocked by no follow through on managements part.We have been Verizon customers for 15 years! We ended up returning the upgrade and will be taking all lines elsewhere. Definitely do your business online or through customer service if you want any help with Verizon. This place isn’t worth the gas money.
Just shopped here for cell phone service yesterday. Great customer service by Rodney.Really went out of his way to explain all options and plans in depth.probably spent 2 hours going over all promotional sales and made sure we were 100% comfortable. Really rare service as I have had different providers from across the country and the service here is absolutely first rate.No pushy sales tactics. Highly recommended!
This store helpful people and they work fast
Lots of customers but not enough employees to offer help if you need it.
In December of 2019 I got my wife a new I phone (XS 256 gigs) since we had a promotion. The next day I went back to the Verizon store for assistance on the new phone I purchased and the guy there was not motivated to help. Ever since I avoided trips there and from time to time I would stop at the Verizon store to check if an employee was eager to sell me another phone but I must say they all seem effortless. Their sales floor is well decorated and modernized but their staff on the other hand look boring to work with. 9 months later we finally switch to AT&T. I honestly wont miss the poor customer service, unreliable network around the area even in Fairbanks specially in Delta Junction and Fort Wainwright. Definitely Verizon did it for me.
They guys in there are very knowledgeable and cool.
Excellent costumer care. Issac - the general manager of the store is second to none!!!!
The gal at the door was very nice and knew exactly how to fix our phone concern.
I initially went with Verizon because they were the only people who had Pixels, and their prices were fairly comparable. But then the first time I need to replace my phone, its a nightmare. I called the 1800 number, they said to go in person and Id be able to get a new device. I go in person, they say there is no way to get a new device in person, that it will be overnighted to me. I go online and proceed through the insurance claim. It was NOT overnight, at all. It took them 3 days to even respond to the claim (they said three hours, I sent it on Sunday, its Tuesday and here we are) and now it will take another 2 days to get a new device. The story they tell you is 24-hour replacement but that is utter tripe. GCI and ACS have the ability to replace your phone THAT DAY. Verizon cant really provide much costumer service on-site that isnt available on your computer. So if you need local service, go with a local company. I learned my lesson. They also INSIST that they have full coverage out to the hot springs and Delta (also bull).EDIT: Ive now been without a device for almost a week, Verizon has no customer service available, they are passing the buck back and forth with the insurance company, who doesnt have ANY contact information that works (their social is useless, their phone number, lol, Ive spent all day on hold). This really did it for me, I will be taking my business somewhere else. They do not offer customer service. I went in person, they said get you need to go online to file a claim. I do that, and I hear absolutely nothing for four days. I call them over and over and they say I need to wait 3 hours for an associate to contact me but its been days, friends.
Good people hand no charger blocks so I bought a cord and the guy hmgave me one laying around did charge for the block awesome ppl
Three people at this store helped me quickly and got my set up with exactly what I wanted.
Not the worst experience, but my customer service rep was needlessly condescending and curt in our interaction. A bit uncalled for considering I in no way reciprocated such behavior, as well as the fact that I was there to buy quite literally the newest, most expensive iPhone. I don’t expect to return to this store any time soon. Two stars because while they were a bit rude, they got the job done. No trouble with that.
Fast service all questions answered in out 20min.
Outstanding service from the first step in the door to the last satisfied goodbye, and thank you! Courteous and friendly (all staff), even under pressure. We asked a lot from Jamal, and he expertly handled every single issue. Five-star and more!
Rodney was the best hope for a girl who just moved here to fairbanks on a budget and then promptly broke her phone. Verizon helped me when AT&T wouldnt. Even after 7 years of loyalty to AT&T. THANKS VERIZON & RODNEY!
Jamaal was great! Friendly, courteous, and efficient as possible.
Great customer service . Thank you so much Big Jeff at the Fairbanks Verizon location for helping Mom / Grandma with the purchase and set up and thorough walk through of her new Google Pixel XL phone. I cant wait to play with it.. tee-hee
Im not a Verizon customer, but I did take a walk through their store and came away please with the layout and friendliness of the staff. I work in the IT industry so I regularly read up on the latest tech, whether it be tablets, laptops, or phones. So I generally dont need much assistance when I walk into a store. I did find the couple of gentleman that approached me to be eager to help and knowledgeable about the phones/tablets. Overall, its a good environment, I was greeted when I walked in the store, and the sales staff is willing to help without being overbearing. We dont always get the best customer service in Fairbanks, but I came away impressed and happy with my first experience.
We walked in unannounced, greeted by a wonderful staff, and were able to complete a 2 phone upgrade in a relatively short period of time. The new equipment has been working ever since, and were welcome additions to the remainder of our Alaskan adventure.
Great service and quick. All Verizon’s are created equal but this experience was great. Very attentive and helpful.
Friendly service
Jeff was super helpful and informative today! Really great customer service.
Nobody tried to sell me anything I didnt want, and I appreciated that. The young lady who helped me (name started with an I) was very kind and explained the billing to me in a way that was straightforward. Left with a new phone, case for the phone, and the saleswoman even put my screen protector on for me.
Went to check on some soon to be released rugged phones staff was helpful got me in the shoe
Horribly nice and despicably helpful. I would recommend this to all of my enemies that want the best service for phones. I would also recommend this my friends. 10/10 would mortgage another home to buy a Note 9.
Tonya is the BOMB DIGGITY so professional. So understanding. There is no one else I trust more then her. Great Job thanks for keeping Alaska Real.
This corporate store seems to be the only one in my area that can meet my phone needs.
Very helpful staff, received service very fast and gave good suggestions on plans that saved money and met my needs.
I understand that Verizon just arrived in Alaska, but they should really train their staff properly before opening a store. I just moved to Fairbanks and have been in the new Verizon store a couple of times. I have been a Verizon client for over 10 years now, and feel that this is the worst service I have ever gotten. I went into the store a week ago to upgrade my current phone. I really wanted to get an iPhone 5s, but they only had the 6s available. I was okay with this and said I would like to upgrade to the 6 and trade in my old phone. The guy that was working with me disappeared to the back and came out 5 minutes later to tell me that they didnt have any of the free ones in. They only had the 32GB or higher which would cost me at least $100. I agreed on the 32GB for $100, so the guy disappeared again to get this phone. This time he came out 10 min later and told me all they had was a larger phone for $200!! I did not want that, so I asked if I could go ahead and order the appropriate iPhone and come back when it arrived. He said no. I find it hard to believe that a corporation such as Verizon could not accommodate this request. So, I left the store empty handed. To this gentlemans credit, he did take my number and call me when the phones came in. But, I decided to go ahead and order an iPhone 5s through Verizons online store. They shipped it promptly and when it arrived I took it to the store to activate it. I waited for 45 minutes and when I finally got a sales associate they immediately said that the iPhone 5 would not activate in Alaska. I had to get the 6. WHAT!!!???? I asked if we could at least try and they said it would be a waste of my time to do so. Basically, they were trying to encourage me to buy the 6. I went home once again defeated. The next day I talked to my IT guy at work about this and he said it would be no problem activating it from here. So, I went online and followed the instructions and was able to easily activate my phone with just a few clicks. I realize now that I shouldve done this in the first place, but I thought I could at least go into a store and get first-hand help with some knowledgeable folks. Not the case here. This store has done a terrible job training their staff. The people that work here dont seem to know which way is up. BEWARE!!!! It may just be easier to call Verizon. So much for quality customer service.
NEVER AGAIN. Had a guy with a name that starts with T help me get a prepaid account for $70 but then I realized that it doesn’t have the ability to hotspot so I went back immediately to switch to a $90 postpaid. I asked him if I am gonna get my $70 back and he’s like “yeah of course it will apply to your next bill”. Then the headache began! I knew never to trust a commissioned guy, so three days later I called customer service and they told me no it won’t apply to my bill because it’s prepaid to postpaid and no they can’t process the refund because the prepaid account was deactivated and they said that the store person should’ve told me to call before migrating to postpaid so they can issue the refund. After being passed around for two hours, I hang up and I called the store and they submitted an “investigation” and that they would follow up. Two weeks later and not hearing from them, I chatted with an agent and she told me that the prepaid team left a documentation saying “the customer didn’t have $70 on the account before migrating”. IS THIS COMPANY FOR REAL?? They’re saying they’re keeping my hard earned money because some store person failed to tell me important details of this stupid process!?? But of course I’m not letting these people steal from me so explained everything again. Then they proceeded to tell me that as a “one time courtesy”. Yeah this wouldn’t have happened if you train your people properly. Thanks a lot T!
Id rather fill my own cavities than return
Friendly staff and went above and beyond to help me and get the best discounts on my account too.
I have always had excellent service when I go into the store. The staff are very friendly. I had a screen protector that failed to stay stuck to the phone. They ordered me a new one at no charge since they didnt have a replacement in the store and it failed so quickly. I sure didnt expect a free replacement.
The employees are always so nice. They were amazed that my 10 year old had questions before picking his own phone and always make me feel led anxious (I have anxiety disorder).
We walked in and the first couple of people didnt offer assistance. Then we got help from a very nice female associate. Who helped us get everything setup.
Went in because I locked myself out of my Samsung, had been on the phone with Samsung support earlier in the day and was told that my carrier would be able to assist me with unlocking it so that I didnt lose all of my data from a factory reset, if you ever are in this situation print those instructions dont assume the carrier will know about it!! The man that helped me came over, asked what I needed, and upon hearing that I was locked out of my phone IMMEDIATELY said You need to factory reset it, theres nothing else you can do. We cant help you. I understand that not everyone will have knowledge in every phone out there but for him to not even ask a coworker or look it up and find out that there are actually a few different options for unlocking a Samsung is so incredibly rude. Great reminder of why I avoid Verizon stores as much as possible!!!
After a disappointing experience one of the managers went above and beyond to make up for that employee. Most of the staff is friendly and will help you with whatever you need. Its always clean and presentable.
Tanya is awesome and so very helpful!I recommend her to everyone!
Seems like everyone is looking for any excuse to keep from working.
Great service & most times your in & out
Wasnt there
Extremely helpful. Great service. Friendly people willing to work with you. Very informative.
The representative was extremely professional and helpful. The whole switching was painless and quick
Answer all my questions and set me up for paperless billing
CoVid slow
Their; New Contract Specialist, Robert was and is amazing. He actually showed us the ins and out of pur cell phone packeges and contracts. Everything he said Verizon would cover and provide it has! Weve visited since our first visit just to chat and get new Android tips! Very happy with honest business service!
Very immediately helpful staff who know what theyre talking about and that is hard to come by now a days
Okay... We came in around Black Friday and got a good deal on upgrading and getting two $200 rebate cards. It’s april and I’m still waiting on the cards to come in. I’ve was told that we get good signal on Eielson AFB and we do but the data does not work very well in our location. They’re excuse is because of “Red Flag” but I can drive down the road and my data speed works faster than ever. I also have a Att phone and it works just fine at home. No problems at all from my Att phone. It’s ridiculous. Yeah we have WiFi at our house but we pay for an unlimited plan for Verizon and pay for data plan on our WiFi.
Great service. Staff is eager to help customers
This guys are truly amazing. Outstanding service and amazing staff!!
Whether youre deciding to make a switch, wanting to browse the awesome selection of gadgets they have, or youre just really needing help with your phone/plan/anything... this is the place to go. I switched to Verizon in 2011 from AT&T, mainly for their lower prices. Little did I realize that with better plans, better coverage, and a better selection of everything, I would be getting the BEST customer service there is to be provided in the cellular device world. That was in Mississippi, and the crew there was more than helpful. I was apprehensive about the opening of a new store in Alaska, but I am so thankful they are here. Verizon sent some really great, knowledgeable people up to this store, and also hired locals. Tanya, most likely to greet you at the door, is from around here, and while youre waiting she will totally give you the DL on Fairbanks. I have had help from Mark, Jorge, and Jamal too. All brilliant! All patient. All helpful. The thing about Verizon is that the company is dedicated to making sure you walk out of the store happy, or hang up feeling satisfied rather than frustrated. Let me say... this store... THIS store carries that out so well. They are all really helpful, and many of them have been with the company for awhile. Mark picked up in conversation that I work for the university here and managed to dig out an employee discount he remembered was available. That takes attention! The last few weeks, Ive been going through some ridiculous technical difficulties with my iPhone, and the help I received tonight was beyond compare. I will always be a faithful customer of Verizon and as a gesture of my appreciation for them, I will always talk them up and try my hardest to send new customers their way - because theyre deserving of it. Stop wondering if you should switch. Stop being frustrated with your devices. Just go to Verizon.JUST DO IT.Go.Now.
He replaced the sim in my phone and everything started working again. No more messaging issues.
Helpful on tech issues Ive been having with my phone ingot from them
Ive had nothing but bad experiences in store. I now use the website. Simply making payments was brutal.
Service here isnt my favorite, you will definitely be waiting for a while
Nice people good phones good service
Greatest experience ever I loved and felt so welcome
Always had good luck there hotspots work ok around fox
No complaints. People there have been really helpful
I had a problem with my phones speakers, and went in to the store to see what my options were as far as repairs or getting a new phone. When I was with AT&T Id have to hope I remembered my username and password and log on to the website, go click a million links to go find the file a claim page, then create a claim explaining my problem. Id then have to pay a $200 deductible and wait two weeks for my replacement phone to show up. It was rather painful. With Verizon, all I did was show up, explain my issue, make sure my bill was current, and they OVERNIGHTED me a new phone for $0! I was/am so impressed! Im so glad I switched to Verizon.
Fantastic customer service, and there are always plenty of people to help you.
Thanks you a nice place to get a phone from
So very happy with the service learned so much thanks
As always, excellent customer service at my local Verizon store!
I bias. But it is very reliable. Certain areas are slower than others, but what company doesnt experience that?
Try to sell you into deals you dont want and/or get you hooked with a locked phone. Would not recommend, however the staff was understanding and kind.
I switched to Verizon after I kept getting over charged with my last cell carrier. Now I pay less and have unlimited data.
Great help! Showed me my headpiece problem.
Fix your lazy customer service. I had to call your corporate office (while sitting in your store) to resolve my issue of an exchange of a faulty product that was within the first 24 hours of a 30 day warranty. Your employee’s idea to fix my problem was that I should just buy another new one. The customer service representative on the phone informed me that they will relay this insult to the district manager for this store.
Grrrr! Frustrating place and prices are just too high.
Out of all cell phone places Ive ever had to deal with, this ones my favorite!
Nice and very helpful good experience
Not helpfu. They dont know how to resolve an issue.
Quick and able to answer questions.
Great help love it hard working
The staff here are nice and helpful
Way too expensive. I was misled on the phone by them before I stopped in there.
Always great service. Everytime!!!
It was great.
Places such a ripoff $140 for one phone a month
Friendly staff. They always get to the bottom of what I need.
Customer service was terrible they refused to help cause I wouldn’t agree to a contract with them
