Boy dont we all long for the days when service was number one. Today the environment is indifference take a number we will call you when its your turn but please wait outside. This covid bs is destroying everything this country was. Everyone needs employees supplies are short cant get a taxi and no one feels they need to do an exceptional job because theyre going to get paid anyway. Hopefully there will be a major reset and businesses will resume taking care of their customers. AT&T used to be exceptional at it. Not today
We went in & were greeted by the rudest employee, then we had to make a call & stepped outside. When I went back in I was told by the salesman that helped us that she was either Chelsie or Betty. At any rate that lady should be fired! The salesman that helped us was extremely helpful & his name unfortunately escapes me now.Update:I got a reply from the owner to call the store and explain my complaint so I did. According to her shell discuss it with the employee.... Im doubting this will happen because her instant response was to excuse the employee & blame Covid. Covid didnt hire a rude customer service agent....
I needed to get my current SIM card transferred to my ROG Phone 5 from my old Galaxy A11, and then get a new card with a new number for my old phone.AT&T did a fantastic job and delivered well! Customer service was excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and Rocky was amazing explaining everything and telling me what we were doing in getting the old phone ready.Visit these guys on Merhar if ever you need assistance of any kind regarding your mobile devices! They get the job done and they do it with intention, sincerity, and quality! Highly recommended!
I visited so that I could start a new phone plan with a new network (you guys) and everything ran so smoothly. The store rep that I had was very intellectual and polite and very reasonable with me and had a great attitude. Im very happy so far to say that Im now with you guys. Hopefully things remain well.
Great place just was closed for remodeling didnt have signs up and when you travel 200 miles one way its a little inconvenient
I arrived and signed in at the 407 Merhar Ave store in Fairbanks, it was super busy so I figured it would take a while. I explained my situation to one of the sales associates that I was changing back to AT&T after a trial run with another cell service. Unfortunately when I received the call that it was my turn I was unable to return. I did return later that evening and put my name on the list, #13 with a projected 75 minute wait time. After about that amount of time the same gentleman that I had explained my situation to earlier was ready to assist, which was very helpful so I didn’t need to explain what I would be doing again. He was straightforward, friendly, and honest, he didn’t promise me everything would be perfect and I’d be done in a few minutes, rather he leveled expectations which I appreciated. He was thorough and researched what he couldn’t answer. The process did take a while and he was willing to work until the phones were ported and ensured they were operational, screen protectors installed, and I was well taken care of, even though that meant he had to stay an extra hour. Outstanding customer support, thank you Tony!!
My wife and I came in to set up service from Verizon. I absolutely hate them! If youre reading this DO NOT waste your time there. After 7 years with them I decided enough was enough. Their service is horrible and there employees are rude. We just moved up from South Carolina and our signal was not the best. We gave AT&T a shot and WE ARE SO GLAD we did! We had to wait in our car for maybe 20 minutes would be my only complaint. I dont remember her name but the african american girl working their was so fast and patient with us! She answered all our questions. She didnt seem very happy at firs but after engaging in conversation for a while she was quite pleasant and funny. We got both of our new phones transferred within an hour at a pretty decent price. Im definitely telling my friends to come to this store!

They would not let me stay in the store and wait for my turn and look at the different phones. The employees were wearing masks. No other customers were wearing masks. Anyone with a brain knowUbuntu, s those masks have next to zero chance of stopping something as small as a virus anyway. Just another form of corporate control. They can keep their phones. Ill be switching providers after 10 years of paying att monthly for 5 lines. I will not be told to wait outside like a dog.
As with many places during this time AT&T is offering curbside service. As a mother of 2 under 3 I have utilized this service wherever possible. Unfortunately, they have not executed it as well as many other places that offer this wonderful service.Prior to arriving I called and had them set aside the things I wanted. Just a heads up, YOU CAN NOT PAY OVER THE PHONE.I get there and call the store, press the button that corresponded with curbside pick up and after 3 attempts (first: they hung up on me before asking my name, second: I gave them my name and what I had ordered, third: they called me because they didnt know where I was/ what I was driving). Even after that I still had to shout at them to bring the items to me.When it came time to check out, apparently being 4 cars away from the building was too far so we had to walk to the front door to pay. And still, that was too far and the customer service representative had to take my card inside the building to pay for my items.Im not sure what convenience their curbside service is offering at the moment, but I have some suggestions for them:1) have curbside dedicated parking (preferably closer to the building)2) allow pay over the phone especially if you cant offer dedicated curbside parking3) get better service/ signal for your workers to make payments especially if you cant offer the previous 2 suggestions. Im sure there are reasons for it, but it just looks bad for a service provider to not be able to go 25 ft from the building and make a sale.Ending on a positive, I will say that the people I originally talked to that pulled the items were helpful and friendly.
Great service. Been with at&t for the past 3 years have had no issues. The store at Fairbanks is always helpful. I had Austin help me and he was very patient and helpful with everything.

No issues with the costumer service. The wait seems to be a bit out of hand during peek hours. Went after work and was number nine in line. Took about 1 1/2 hours until we were seen. They ask that you wait outside and they will call your phone when they are ready for you.I am sure AT&T tracks these wait times, I think its time for another store in the Fairbanks area. I recommend that you call or stop by to make an appointment prior to waiting for an hour plus. As stated first, there is no issue with the service provided
Tony was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with rescuing me from the stone ages. I turned in my 6s plus for the 12pro. I can already guess that life will be much easier with the upgrade and I will be able to use my favorite apps without them disappearing or falling asleep. Thank you so much for all your help!

No issues with the store or service, however tried to turn in an old phone for a special “deal”. Took me three tries, 1-2 hour wait each time. Today I just drove to North Pole and turned the phone in, transaction took 5 minutes, round trip took less time than waiting for an appointment. If you need something done, go to North Pole!

We came in to have my wifes number switched over from Verizon. Rocky helped us out. He was great. Got everything taken care of, quick and painless. Rocky was awesome, super chipper guy, made sure we were taken care of.
Sarah was able to fix our phone instead of us having to buy a new one, my husband hadnt been able yo charge his phone through the port for at least a year, and she fixed it!
I went in to get a new account and Ndidiamaka helped me and was so nice! I hope I get her every time, all her instructions were very clear which was really good because it was my first time getting my own phone plan and it took almost no time!
I went into the Eastside location to upgrade my phone and they didnt have the one I wanted in stock so she ordered it for me to be delivered to me at my house in about a week. My phone showed up at my door step the next day in the afternoon it was amazing I was very happy

Had a wonderful experience here. Had to change my plan from T-Mobile to AT&T, Timothy and the manager here were so awesome. Literally helped me & my so out for almost 2 hours after they closed. Went in the next day and Timothy got me in and out within 15-20 min. Great experience and am very very appreciative of the time and care they took to get my stuff figured out. :)
Came to this store 3 times in one day to get told to come back and wait an hour each time. After the last visit of the day we finally were able to set a meeting, had to wait an hour and a half, then when it was our time to go in, they called to tell us they were closing and couldnt take us. Wasted a lot of gas waiting and driving back and forth. :/
I added a line to my account and was told the phone would have $700 off. My account was never credited the money. I’ve tried calling the store (point of sale) several times and have been directed to the Loyalty department. The Loyalty department directed me to the point of sale. I’m done, Timothy: Employee number TA728T was not helpful in assisting me with this issue. I no longer live in Fairbanks and am unable to walk into the store to have my identity confirmed by “scanning” my driver’s license.
I went to this AT&T Store yesterday to help my grandma with a dead phone / getting a new one and the service was great! I had Russel as my Sales Representative and he was very kind and helpful. Would recommend going to this AT&T store over the one off of airport they didnt answer their phones (during business hours) and didnt look open.
On 03APR2 Ndidiamaka S was very helpful and patient when it came to helping me with my upgrade. She came into problems but tried every way to help me. Even though she could not help me due to not having authority to override things and it being the holidays. I was very happy with how she handled the situation.Also, Athina the assistant manager was very professional when it came to a rude customer. He was rude when he first stepped in she didn’t even have to say a word to him. Even though he was rude she did not once change here politeness and continued to help him. He was being unreasonable when she kept telling him that he would have to call AT&T number. She handled the situation better then I would. I can see why she is the assistant manager.

I hate getting new phones to start. The sales team needs to slow down and explain to product better. You feel very rushed.I would have felt better about my purchase if I would have known more about my options

The gentleman who helped me was wonderful 😊 but masks are supposed to be a CHOICE not a REQUIREMENT. I have medical issues and a mask can kill me. I was forced to wear it because of company policy 🙄😳😭🥺😤😱😭

Fayaz Bhat is the most personable AT&T associate I have ever worked with. He is kind, patient, and cares tremendously for his customers. He waited patiently with me for 20 minutes while I solved a phone number issue, and was ready with a smile when I needed his help again. I will only be returning to this particular AT&T branch, and will wait for Fayaz to be available, because he is worth the wait.
Athina @ the Fairbanks AK ATT store on Merhar was AWESOME!!!! For 2 weeks was dealing with ATT & Apple customer service trying to get my new Apple Nike watch series 6 connected to my cellular plan. NOBODY could figure out why my watch would not sync to my cellar. Came in the store today at one more chance try to get my watch to connect to my cellar plan. The newly appointed manger Athina discovered what was wrong and got my watch onto my cell plan. No longer have just a glorified digital watch. ALL my Apple Watch features are finally working great!!!! Athina was patient, kind and super helpful. After 2 weeks of frustration, Athina in one meeting became my ATT superhero!!! If you have a problem with your Apple Watch be sure to go to Athina!
Ive been considering a new phone purchase for quite a while now. So many choices out there, and Im not very tech savvy. Ron, a customer service agent who works at this AT&T store, was simply outstanding! He gave me some suggestions, was not pushy in the least, and was the friendliest cell phone rep/agent I have EVER dealt with. He made a stressful decision for me easy and painless. Timothy was very helpful with getting two new lines of service set up with BYOD and military discount. Originally tried to set up service online, but the order only partially processed. Trip to store from Fort Greely was not a short drive, but necessary. Unfortunately we lose out on the $250 BYOD deal (per phone line) from online, but at least the $30 activation per line was waived. Store was well lit and clean with plenty of staff on hand to assist with customers. This is a corporate store, and if you have the choice between a corporate store and an authorized reseller, always go with the corporate store, as they have the ability to fix issues right on the spot and have a direct line to AT&T. Thank you again for your help, Timothy.

Im visiting from Florida and was not aware that TMobile has no service in Alaska. I stopped at Verizon out of curiosity to check their prices on prepaid sim cards. Turns out their prepaid sim cards do not work with my OnePlus6 phone. Waste of time, Verizon is horrible.I should have known AT&T wouldnt fail me. I walked in and was immediately assisted by Daniel, who was welcoming and friendly. Made it a fast and easy process. So far Ive had full service the entire day with no problem. Thank you.

Long wait in the car. Very few employees. Then I am told to call 611 almost all issues can be resolved that way, I was told. So if you need them, dont waste your time. Call 611!
Rep was helpful, asked all the right questions, wasnt pushy with sales, and finished our transaction quickly. I was very happy with everything and would definitely go back if needed.
Guy said I couldn’t come in with my husband because of covid, but I literally saw others coming in with others. He was rude, unprofessional. Called and asked to speak with a a manger apparently there isn’t any. Because of covid isn’t a good excuse, we came to pick out a phone together that best suits us together and I couldn’t even go in, but others could. If you’re going to treat your customers different ways because of race or ethnicity then I won’t be coming to At&t ever again.

The customer service at this store is great! I always make an appointment online and I am seen as soon as I walk in the door. I have worked with Fayaz 3 or 4 times now, and I always request him to be my rep when I go in. He is extremely knowledgeable and the nicest guy! The management here is definitely doing something right. Keep up the good work guys!
If you live in Fairbanks and want a good cell phone plan, AT&T has a great deal until the Fall. Compared to other local carriers, AT&Ts data service is much more reliable.Thats also why their hotspot is so popular, especially just out of town. Most companies wont provide internet to places out of the downtown area. Residents usually need to get a hotspot and cell booster. AT&Ts is the best one locally, so theyre often sold out. I had to visit 3 times before I was able to get one. Just call ahead and ask them to put one aside, if thats what youre coming in for.Each staff I worked with was friendly and helpful.

After the store opened 10 minutes late and I was told I was not authorized to access my account (which I have always had access to prior to this) I ended up paying for a replacement item that should have been free based on my account plan (I will also note that I was given the incorrect item and spent additional time having to refund and repay for the correct item). Things have been somewhat rectified after the fact but I should not have had to deal with these issues.
COVID-19 places some restrictions on how we used to enter this store prior to the pandemic. With that being said, customer service is still great and I dont mind dealing with the restrictions when having friendly AT&T employees providing me excellent service.

They dont answer the phone when they are busy came directly from the mouth of one of their employees. Tried getting a phone for my fiance and had cash but they were rude from the start. Never will be doing business with that store again. Cant you put me on hold at least??
Everyone was polite and very helpful. I came in with a problem with my phone and they helped me in a way that was easy to understand. This will be the only AT&T store in Fairbanks that I will go to from now on
Good fast helpful customer service attendants, more reliable business hours vs. Other fairbanks att centers that often close early without warning.My most recent experience;Representative even gave me a sucessful money saving option that did not benefit him or att store!
