We absolutely love the variety and quality of the items sold here! My kids love shopping at Miss Jamies. The staff always makes us feel welcome and is always so helpful!We foster and it has been so nice to find great quality items for the 25 children who have been in our home regardless of their age they always find something they love!The boutique style items that they order in new have made shopping for birthdays and baby showers so much fun! I love being able to find higher end items that I wouldnt normally be able to find in town.By far the best consignment shop I have been to in years!

Nice place to buy and sell baby items. I only wish Id known about it while I was pregnant. They are the only place in town I have seen maternity clothes.

I cannot rave about OUAC - Fairbanks. The new owner has gone above and beyond to make the store the best resource in the community for new and expectant mothers and their families. Great selection, always clean and organized and the staff is so friendly and nice. I always look forward to shopping here!

It looks cleaner and brighter now! Also a whole bunch of new items also and maternity section for you mamas in need! Got my son 5 pairs of pants for what one new pair would cost! Thankful for this store!

Once upon a child offers new and used items for babies and toddlers. If you are looking for a jumper, toys, clothes, developmental, special needs equipment, or what ever your baby/toddler needs are they generally have it. Remember due to the breakup coming soon get your used water boots.The staff is great and will get what you need. Just remember this is Alaska and takes a little time to ship items here.

The new owners have done a good job bringing in new product in addition to what they purchase from the community. A great place to shop for baby shower gifts and birthdays.

Update: Management got in touch with us and assured us these issues would be fixed. Kind hearted and extremely understanding.Amazing for baby/children shopping. The issues are the employees. Absolutely miserable, not helpful, bad mouths constantly... Just not appropriate for a CHILDRENS store. Highly immature especially if there are only a handful of customers.

I will start by saying that this place really does do a good service and the people there are always nice and helpful. The reason I rated it 3 stars is because the items are usually over priced (in my opinion) for a second-hand store, in some cases only a fraction less than retail price when theyre clearly not new. They often dont have what Im looking for (which I know is out of their control since its based on donations) so I end up having to go to a retail store and pay full price anyway. The most helpful thing is buying shirts and pants here as I can usually get a lot of those for a great deal, and for that I am grateful. The other things I try to find (shoes, snow clothes, rain gear, etc) are usually slim pickings or too close to retail price for a used item to be worth it to me.

Stopped in on 9/2 to drop some stuff off and the 2 girls working were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing selection of kids clothes and accessories and toys. I got a baby back pack there at a real good price. If you cant find something the staff are pretty good about helping you out. I try to stop here whenever possible. I keep forgetting to bring in my bag of old baby clothes lol

We went in to look for clothes for a baby shower and the whole store stunk like weed everywhere you went in the store.

Best place in Fairbanks to get nice used childrens clothes. Also a great place to sell gently used clothes so others can use them. Better than a garage sale. Great friendly staff!

Love this store! Just about the only place in Fairbanks with a large assortment of childrens clothes. Most of the clothing is still in very good shape, nothing seems too worn. The only thing I would not recommend buying here would be shoes. Occasionally they have a new pair of boots or sandals that are worth looking for. Definitely the place to go for cute baby/toddler clothes and accessories!

Great place for your little ones with great bargains! Gently used items offered, clothes, toys, snowsuits, ect. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Its a great place to buy childrens clothing

One of the worst shopping experiences of my life. profiled, harassed for unwanted help numerous times, and stalked around the store, in the most blatant and offensive way possible, from isle to isle... then banned when i returned the next time, after confronting the owner about it the previous time. he had a strange little smirk on his face when he told me too... as if he was getting some sort of petty, juvenile satisfaction from preventing me from being able to inexpensively clothe my children, when i did absolutely nothing wrong. also, several of the workers have sarcastic or nasty attitudes.

I love shopping for gently used kids clothes and toys here. The items are usually well organized and the store is kept clean. There is a good variety of items and they have a system to rotate the stock so you dont keep seeing the same rejects.

Decent deals are available. They normally are running some kind of special every time we visit. The items for the most part are in good shape but sometimes there pricing is easy of for the item or the condition is in.

I waited at the counter fir awhile before someone helped me. They were just standing in the back. But as for the rest of it, I was able to get some clean cheap clothes for my 2 year old, overall pleased that I went.

A necessity for anyone with children. Clothes, toys and other baby stuffs in good condition and even better prices. The staff is always friendly and helpful, not to mention attractive! It is really a relief to be able to bring in my used things and get money for that crap I have no more use for. If you havent set foot in the magical realm that is Once Upon a Child, you, sir (or Madam), are missing out. I LOVE THIS STOOOOORE!

Today is 8/28. I was in the store two days ago. I bought pajamas, a pair of shoes, tops, & pants for my daughter. I purchased 4 pairs of pajamas. I came home, took the tags off, and washed them. I found out yesterday they do not fit. Called and asked if it would be okay if I just switched for a bigger size (not interested in a refund, just pajamas for my daughter). But no. You apparently need a receipt and tags. I have spent enough money in there to fill a whole punch card. Seriously. Why is it a big deal to switch pajamas. Disappointed I cant just switch them for a new size. Im sure im not the only mom in Fairbanks that has done this. I was told I could wait till they accept pajamas again to re sell them back to the store. With the thousands of pajamas you guys have, is that honestly the best advice? Also I would have someone walk around and do a trash pick up. There were many employees working at the time I came in. I had to avoid various food items that were on the floor. I saw crackers, crumbs, & squished fruit. Kind of gross to see.

Excellent place to shop for back to school clothes and everything else they have to offer! Toys, swings, bouncers, strollers, clothes, shoes, you name it, Once Upon A Child has it. I usually spend an hour or two in the store.

I use to like them and now I am frustrated at all could be. They ask for sets, yet pick apart the sets when you bring them in. I took in a box with half brand new never worn baby items. They returned all but 10 items. Said the brand new cloths had damage and stains. Also took all my sets apart and separated them!
