I had fun at this store. I popped in while there was a line for another store in the shopping center. The store was clean and uncluttered. The folks behind the counter were friendly and helpful. I found stuff on the nice and neat shelves that had not been available at other Game Stop locations. I made several purchases.I am not knocking a star off for substandard credit card equipment at checkout, but considered it.
This GameStop has been around for years and I’ve always loved coming here. Jonathan takes great care of the store and all of his people who come in. Issac on the other hand I cannot say the same. The terrible attitude he has about every interaction is overbearing. He sighs and eye rolls at the simplest question even if you’re being a respectable customer. Something must be done.
I’ve been shopping at this GameStop for years and the employees are usually great, the manager Johnathan is very friendly and helpful. But the employee Issac is very rude and condescending. Every time I ask him a question or for help he always seems to be in a bad mood or extremely annoyed, he always has this deadpan look on his face and ALWAYS sighs when I ask him something.
What a horrible day. The staff is extremely rude. Came in with my 4yo because I had promised him that he could pick something from the store. I was kicked out with my 4yo by the store attendant. My son is crying and I never felt so humiliated. I dont have words to describe how terrible is this store.To anyone reading this, dont go to this place, unless you want to have a rude attendant expelling you from the store with your child crying.I`ll never set foot in any GameStop ever again and I recommend you do the same. Buy games and toys somewhere else.
Had good experiences in the past. But the “assistant manager” Issac is very rude and has zero knowledge on how to serve customers. I will never return to GameStop until they know how to train employees on serving customers.
Issac is the worst person I’ve ever encountered. This guy needs to be fired and needs to be educated and learn how to respect customers. I can’t believe GameStop management hasn’t done anything about this clown. Issac if your reading this.. want you to know your a beetch.
Usually a great store the employees are very friendly but i’ve recently had a bad encounter with the employee Issac. I was looking for a wireless controller and Issac wasn’t having it! He rolled his eyes at me and gave me a sigh, until Issac is dealt with i’m not shopping here if I see Issac in the front.
Normally the employees are great, the service is fantastic, and I have been a loyal customer to this location. Recently, the employee Isaac had a bad attitude and was so rude to me, that I will never return to this location ever again

Traded in a PS4 Pro, and I should have left as soon as the employee talked to me. 0 customer service skills and hospitality, and he clearly had an attitude problem.I asked to walk around while he was doing the trade in, and then when I finished and stood by the register, he asked “are you done” pretty rudely.I was asked to sign for the trade in before getting any of the details on how much to expect on it, and after signing I find out that I got hit with a 55 dollar refurbishing fee. I came back not even 10 minutes later to ask if I could get my console back and just got back a “no” with 0 indifference.I traded an Xbox One X in about a month ago at the same location, and it was such a different experience with another employee. If you have a trade in, avoid the store.Edit: Not even 5 minutes after I got home, the GM for the area called and let me know that he understands my issue and worked with me to get it resolved. I was able to go back into the store the same day and get my console back, and the employee explained why the refurbishment fee was included.
Someone needs to check up on Issac, my friends say he seems mad all the time and has a signature sigh. He might be going thru it but he doesn’t need to put it on everybody else.

Gamestop maybe a corporate giant that represents that homogenization of these stores into a vast generic corporate tapestry that has probably lead to the decline of investment in local retail in the first place, but this one is different. Truly built into the community it services and supports, the provide a friendly hub of mercantile exchange that makes one long for the hay-day of gaming retail. It makes one remember what has been so sorely missed in this time of pervasive social alienation.Isaac is a stand-up employee, and a highly respectable member of any community which he would serve. He provided kind and thoughtful service when helping with a purchase of a Nintendo Switch, and his help was worth many more dollars than an online retail solution would have ever saved me.Onwards and upwards, fairfax Gamestop. You are showcase of what our community has to offer, and a valued retailer in a struggling landscape.Do you all have Battletoads tho?
Not sure how much longer gaming stores will be relevant. My primary source for game-related gear and gifts though.
The day of my purchase an associate tried to sell me a cord that wasn’t going to fix my problem. Luckily I asked that he test it, and my suspicions were verified. I tried returning a different product within 30 days, just to find out 2 weeks later that I was told the wrong policy at the time of purchase. Waste of money. Waste of time. Mislead and misinformed.

I work in marketing, so I understand that the manager was probably just trying to make a sale. However, constantly addressing the store as my store and assuming that I was purchasing something for someone else (what sort of games does he like to play?) made me leave this store and never return.
Enjoy a fun filled time at Game Stop located on Main Street of Fairfax city. A very clean and organized shop with excellent parking space featuring a huge selection of games. Plus, a brilliant customer service from the staff who never mind answering any of your questions no matter how stupid they are.

Great store in a bad location. This store is full of knowledgeable people, ready to give great advice and create a friendly rapport with their customers. Having been to this location many times I am very familiar with their staff and am greeted as a long time friend each visit. Stock full of video games and my personal reason to visit, Funko Pops, I am never disappointed by my visits. The one and only downside? The parking lot. Jammed packed, tight spaces, and zero room to maneuver safely. Take this store and its staff, move it to a much bigger parking lot and you have the perfect Gamestop.
A little disappointed that I called 5 minutes before store close time asking the gentlemen who was working at the time that if he’d be willing to stay open for another 10 min so that I can come over there to purchase a brand new PS4 Pro console. With excuse he gave, it seemed like it was his choice alone if he would stay open. So to decline a 400$ purchase for just 10-15 extra minutes is exactly as I said. Slightly Disappointing
Pretty rare to find a good deal unless youre wanting to join their paid group or stalking slickdeals, but the staff at every Fairfax location has always been great with me n the kids.
Best place ever the staff always greets you and they help all the time I go there a lot and I never have been let down.

Short staffed most of the time. They are Ok overall. Parking could be challenging on busy weekends or holidays.

The guy is a complete ass, the creepy dude at the counter didnt sell me a rated M game when i was clearly over 17 as proven with my ID
Disturbing experience today with my son. He patiently waited in line at the counter for the rep to finish assisting another child. After the rep was done with the transaction, two friends of the child decided to overlook the fact that there was someone patiently waiting (they did apologize immediately) approached the rep for assistance. The rep felt the need to address the kids desire instead of kindly asking stating that there was another customer ahead of them. Unfortunately, I had to voice my concern of the circumstance. This may or may not have been incidental however, its not the way for children (especially my child) to understand how we conduct ourselves on a daily basis. My son has been a frequent patron of the store and has the upmost respect for anyone. I anticipate that this was/is a rare occasion. If need be, it can be seen occurring at 1800 on Nov 16th 2016. Maybe a little customer trainingg/attention to what is going is warranted.

Hidden in the corner of the shopping center, adjacent to Trader Joes. 3.5 stars. Run of the mill game store, but employees were approachable and knowledgable.
Ive been using this gamestop since it was an EB Games, and although sometimes gamestop gives a little less than what Id prefer for my old games, their employees are always nice and informative, approaching me for help even without asking, now thats initiative.
