Amazing customer service! Securing a unit online was super quick and easy, and the staff were on site as well for assistance. Super friendly!

I knew of this Extra Space location, thanks to a prior, though indirect experience. Well, I am delighted to report my own experience is just as positive! I did not have time to call ahead, or even look online. I showed up with hope and a trailer. The patient, kind, and knowledgeable property manager walked me through every option, and didn’t bat an eye as my children played with the extra office chair. She personally toured us through the facility, showing how all access worked. And then she helped me get my first load into the unit!!! Above and beyond!!!! I have been very happy with my experience, and can honestly and unreservedly recommend this Extra Space facility.

The resident manager Anika went out of her way to answer all my questions and concerns. She was both friendly and professional and Extra Storage is very very lucky to have her. The entire facility is such a step up from my previous unit at Public Storage. And from a safety standpoint it is hard to see how this building could possibly ever catch fire as it is all metal and concrete plus they have a sprinkler system… And a light inside my 5 x 15 unit! I expect to be here a long time and you should rent here with confidence! Prosperity Avenue/Fairfax. Try it you’ll like it!

We’ve had an excellent experience with our storage space at Extra Space Storage. From setting up our unit quickly and easily to the ease of access to our space, it’s been a very smooth process. When I lost my keys, they made the process of cutting the lock and securing a new lock very simple. The facility was very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend!

Setting up our account was amazingly quick and easy. Didnt even take a half hour out of my day. The people I spoke with were extremely friendly, and the prices are very reasonable.

Not only am I pleased with my experience with Extra space storage … my team and I were faced with an obstacle alike many in the storage facilities .. a locked storages unit with more than one lock..!! As a contractor my time is valuable and some times things happen before or during a job that make things difficult .. The storage unit was CLOSED the day and time we arrived .. Ms Carla Arrived promptly and turned a bad situation to a humorous .. yet enjoyable moment turn for the best.. by providing positive energy.. calming the owners of the storage down .. engaging convo to reassure us the job would be handled .. she came well prepared for two locks and upset patrons … and by the time she was leaving we were all satisfied with her presence .. I was between homes for 6 months and had to put everything in storage while staying somewhere temporarily. ExtraSpace Storage was great! I chose them based on great reviews and reasonable pricing on a large storage unit. The staff members I interacted with were very helpful and offered excellent service. If I need storage again in the future, I’d use them again without hesitation!

I had a storage space on Lee Hwy at Public Storage that was more expensive, less space, and very dirty. This Extra Space Storage company is very clean, great customer service and Very clean!

I was hesitant to use a storage facility due to COVID-19 concerns, however, Dilsa and Yahaira, addressed and resolved all of my questions and concerns.Available size/pricing options, unit-insurance policies, AND COVID-19 precautions were provided and explained over the phone, via e-mail, and again confirmed onsite in an efficient and professional manner.When I arrived at the office to finalize paperwork, I walked into the middle of what I perceived as two employees suffering wildly unnecessary disrespect from a disgruntled individual who was not follow the company’s protocol. I applaud their relentless professional decorum, I cannot believe two 5-star employees were treated so terribly after company policy was professionally and effectively discussed and described...Despite top-tier professionalism and genuine hospitality, I actually decided against entrusting my valuables with Extra Space Storage last minute! Being from FL I felt oddly humid in the office and asked both employees about VA weather. They immediately addressed the wide range of weather in the area and again emphasized the benefits of climate control options and ensured providing quality protection was one of the company’s top concerns/priorities.What impressed me most was a refreshing sense of positive professionalism, instead of beginning the answer to my question with negative comments (e.g., the A/C has been broken for a number of weeks... BUT, we offer climate control) both employees made me feel as if my concerns were valid and provided a concise and professional response. Most importantly, they made me feel as if protection of my items was their personal responsibility!Needless to say, I was shocked. How can a company that is founded on protection of customer possessions expect me to entrust them with my valuable personal property when they subject employees to unacceptable workplace conditions? How will this company treat my items if an issue arises? Unfortunately, I perceive this as a poor reflection of the company’s values and a misrepresentation of Extra Space Storage’s mission statement.**PLEASE NOTE** I read multiple reviews before choosing this location and I must confirm, Yahaira and Dilsa exceed any and all expectations. They are truly gifted in the customer-service realm. I would happily store my items with this company based on employee professionalism alone, however, I find the company’s integrity to be questionable given the circumstances....I hope the issue is addressed. It looks like a lot of reviews receive a response from the company, I will provide updates when they become available. I had a very pleasant experience renting the unit. I was hassled to give a review and I obliged. Dilsa the store manager was very personable and told me that all I had to do was email her directly ten days in advance.When I was ready to vacate, I did exactly that. Dilsa responded and let me know that the final month will indeed be prorated and told me the amount. They chose instead to charge the whole month to credit card two days later.After speaking to them, they did not honor this statement in writing given to me by Dilsa. Instead they chose to charge my credit card for the entire month instead of just the additional week and refused to refund me the difference. After multiple calls, they told me that I needed to call them 10 days before my billing cycle not my date to vacate. Dilsa did not mention that the amount given was predicated on me using a time machine to tell them 8 days prior. I’m honestly shocked that they would choose to go this route.I even have an additional canned email from them that makes absolutely no mention of the billing cycle but instead says that you need to let them know in advance (this time 15 days) of your vacate day.They told me that I can’t speak to a manager or supervisor.Do yourself a favor and choose a different location to store your goods. I’m guessing there is some sort of change in management that really invalidates their stellar rating.

Wonderful experience.We wanted to take a look at the space we where interested in online and the property manager Dilsa gave us all of her attention. We were able to tour the storage facility and we where happy with how clean and organized the storage units have been kept.Dilsa made renting a unit very easy and assuring. Helping us different all the provisions in the rental agreement and contact.Thanks to Dilsa we were able to confidently accept the rental agreement and start using the storage unit same day.

Fantastic customer service!! Dilas is amazing! I had to upgrade my storage while I’m in between houses and I was originally going to get the 10x20 but she took her time and went over all the options and sizes. I ended up going with the 10x10, it fit everything I had perfectly and was well within my budget! I would give her 10 stars if I could, I highly recommend going to her! Thank you!!

I received excellent service from Extra Space Storage. I was able to complete the contract over the phone as we traveled up I95 North. When we arrived at the address all I had to do was sign. Our unit was ready for us with the lock ready for us to code. The unit as well as the entire facility is clean and secured. The lady in the office (Dilias...forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) gave us outstanding customer service. She is a great asset to the company. I would strongly recommended Extra Space Storage to anyone looking for short or long term storage.

Quite frankly Extra Space is one of the best storage companies I have ever dealt with. Just give them a phone call and you will see what I mean. They are polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Too bad this only goes to 5 stars at most.

There are NO trash bins on the premise even the dumpsters have a lock on them! I find it hard to believe that a storage facility has no trash place to throw anything away. Even if I dont have big items rather smaller items to discard of the Extra Space Storage basically said to bad throw away your trash somewhere else I pay Extra Space Storage to be treated in such a way and I believe very unprofessional!

Great experience. I was able to quickly apply online and even more was able to complete the renting and payment process over the phone. Everything was made clear and they walked me through all of the necessary steps.

The staff is absolutely amazing. It’s over 95 degrees and after seeing us move stuff in and out they brought us a pitcher of water! They also checked on us a few times to make sure we were okay. Amazing place with amazing people.

Such a great experience today when I went in to check out the storage unit I reserved online. Dilsa was extremely friendly and accommodating. After assessing my game plan and showing me the loading dock options, she let me switch to the unit that would make the process easier. It’s comforting to encounter a wonderful personality during these crazy and uncertain times. Dilsa got me all set up and offered some good suggestions for move in day. I highly recommend this facility. It’s a large area to cover for a small staff so I hope prospective renters exercise patience if they get busy.

Was able to get my unit reserved, paid for, and a lock put on all over the phone with really little effort. It was a breeze. Both the HQ agent who originally took my call and local representative were very courteous and made it a breeze. They even had an option to put a lock on for you to secure the unit and get access without any contact curing COVID. Thanks!

This Extra Space Storage is really nice, they have amazing managers as well, Delca assisted me in picking out a storage unit and made it very easy, she explained all my options and broke everything down clearly. I am moving all of my possessions from South Carolina back to Virginia. I was looking for a similar storage space similar to what I had down south, and Extra Space Storage had exactly what I needed.I walked in the minute they opened, and I was immediately greeted by Dilsa, the store manager. After discussing what I needed, she showed me the facility, and I chose my unit. In addition, she and I hit it off while discussing the South and her intention to travel to the South sometime in the near future.I found this experience extremely pleasant, and recommended this location highly.

The manager of this location Dilsa has been amazing and goes above and beyond to assist, from my questions regarding a space to even after my move in. I’ve visited some other locations and the customer service and assistance I’ve received here are nowhere else to be found in my opinion. It’s cleanliness and maintenance show well thru the facility and if you actually care about the things you’re storing that should be your first sign that this place is exactly what you’re looking for, the customer service you’re gonna receive is the icing on the cake in my opinion.
