We took advantage of Fairfield Volkswagen’s Xpress Tuesday (no appointment required) service for an oil change. The dealership was clean and the customer service was topnotch. Nick assisted us and was great. He answered all of our questions regarding our 2019 Jetta. The staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated Fairfield Volkswagen’s commitment to social distancing and mask-wearing. The customer waiting area and showroom were clean and spacious. We appreciated the hand sanitizer, disposable masks, individually-wrapped snacks, and bottled beverages. We loved the vintage VW Beetle and the new ID.4 EV vehicle that were on display. We received a discount at checkout and our car was washed (exterior) by request. Great dealership. Friendly staff. Good service. Thank you!

Brought my car for an oil change. Half hour into my wait I was brought a printout recommending $2400 worth of work on my car with only 60,000 miles. Was told my tires were at 4/32nds (they weren’t) and recommended I replace them. I just had my tires checked a week ago and saw the technician measure them with a gauge then told me they were 7/32nds with “plenty of life left”. Yet my recommendation sheet listed a replacement of WHEELS and tires for $2048. I was also told both of my air filters needed replaced. I asked if they were pretty dirty and was practically told they don’t know it was based on “mileage”. I was not happy with being recommended something that might not need it so I asked to physically see the filters before I bought them. They brought out both filters 10 minutes later one of them being practically new and clearly not in need of replacement. The other one was starting to get dirty so I agreed to replace it. My service advisor was nice I just would’ve appreciated more honest and informed advice. No customer wants to unknowingly be convinced to spend $2000 for work that’s not even due or necessary. After I left I stopped to get gas and popped the hood to make sure they put everything back right and sure enough the tech left a PCV hose loose. Which wasn’t a big deal and a simple fix thankfully but didn’t inspire confidence in their quality of work.

I always dread buying a new car because of all the bickering back and forth just to get an honest price. Well this is the first experience in all the times I have ever bought a car (there have been many!) that there was NO Bickering back and forth because it was unnecessary!!! They offered what we thought for our trade in so therefore didnt have to be disappointed there and when it came time to get to the monthly payments they were spot on for what it should have been from the get go! Honest respectable dealership!! I would recommend them to anyone who needs a vehicle! Rob Ernst was a great salesman!

If you like to have your time wasted and your car to be returned broken, I definitely recommend bringing it into the Fairfield Volkswagen. Make sure to ask for the service manager Stacy. She is amazing if you enjoy being talked down on, interrupted while speaking and then called a liar (because she couldn’t listen to anything I said before cutting me off). Honestly my whole experience was disgusting, I felt disrespected and taken advantage of. I now have to pay $1,000 in damages that just coincidentally happened to break while in the shop but were “no fault” of Volkswagen.

Great experience and customer service. We went to sell our Expedition as they had the best offer. Initially we werent considering a VW, but because of the used car Manager, and salesman Darcos great attitude and customer service, we came back for a test drive. Darco worked with us on taking several cars for test drives and we ended up buying a Passat. Hands down the best experience we have ever had at a dealership, stood by the online offer for our Expedition and made the buying process of the Passat extremely quick and easy. Great experience on service I had Liz who is very knowledgeable and very friendly she made sure everything flowed smoothly and easy. Will be back and will make sure that I have her every time. Went to purchase a Buick Regal that was pulled up in anticipation of my visit. The salesman stared at me 3 minutes as I walked around the vehicle and only came outside when another couple pulled up. I addressed him as he stood waiting for their approach and was told I will get someone to help you. I promptly left, it felt unwelcoming and the salesman had little communication skills. My dollar is valuable and I appreciate being treated respectfully.

I’d shopped VW at three other dealers before finding the exact car I wanted at Fairfield. Bob was quick and super responsive to my inquiries. We had been to multiple dealerships throughout the day looking. Every time a salesman would pressure us to just come in, wanted to run our credit, etc. we felt like we were being hounded. Once we got to Fairfield Volkswagen, we met with John. He was no pressure, friendly, and extremely informative the whole time. Never once did he make us feel rushed or pressured. The best part was when we got there, he asked what kind of car we were interested in and what payment we were looking at, once we told him he said “good, we can work with that number, I didn’t want you to have expectations that weren’t realistic.” The reason I appreciated that is because I’ve been to dealers before where they promise you the moon, only to sit there for three hours and be told...”we can’t meet where you need to be.” John was great. So if you need a car, go here...ask for John.

I havent had the car long enough to write a full review, but this is for service and safety/thoughtfulness.Service: Nick Sink worked with me a good part of the day as I test drove many cars. He helped me to find a great deal on a great car according to my wifes needs. It was great that all the cars there have QR codes that allow you to quickly pull up details such as price, warranty, and a complete Carfax report. That was a big time saver. Also, the sales manager there ran up estimated payments for me while I was out on test drive, saving me more time, and allowing me to find the vehicle that was in just the perfect price range.Safety/Thoughtfulness: Nick wore a mask, and kept a reasonable distance through the entire process. Once he found me the right car, we were able to complete all the financial work zero contact online. We needed the car unusually fast as the one we had was dying, so when they werent able to set someone up to deliver the car right away, Nick personally delivered the car after his day was over. They even did added cleaning/detailing on the car *after* the sale, and filled the tank.If youre looking for a car, and looking to buy one safely and quickly, I would highly recommend Nick Sink of Fairfield Volkswagen.

As always I had a wonderful experience with Volkswagen Fairfield yesterday. Nick More was my service Advisor . It was time for oil change but over a week I had noticed something felt wrong in the engine. I got a warm welcome from Nick Moore assuring me a complete diagnosis to identify the issue. His advice went as far as to go over repairs that are still covered by my car warranty. Eventually the problem diagnosed was under warranty coverage. I needed to leave my car and pick it up the next day.. He reminded me that I could have a temporary car to drive until my car is fixed . I declined it because I really did not need it just for 24 hours! VW kept their promise and I picked up my car at the scheduled time. It is running good! I am pleased that I bought my Passat at Volkswagen Fairfield and chose them for the regular oil service. Mr Nick Keep up your great Job serving your customers. Blessings

Great experience! Had been researching leasing a Tiguan, features, pricing etc and had a price/deal in mind and was ready for the traditional dickering. Talked with Landon Haft, looked at what I wanted said Give me your best deal up front. He matched my expected lease payment and down payment. No back and forth! One happy customer!Extremely efficient and friendly!!! Had my first scheduled service plus a required software update. I scheduled online and when I arrived my service advisor, Elizabeth, met me with a friendly smile and was ready with clealiness protection for my seat. After checking me in she accompanied me to the lounge area, not just pointed me to some door. Car came back washed and all the extra protection removed, nothing for me to get rid of, thanks! . Buying a car is usually an experience that I dread dealing with. However, my wife found a 2018 Atlas at Fairfield Volkswagen that she really liked and was priced well, so on a Friday afternoon we were heading to Fairfield to look at a car. The experience was great. Our Sales rep, John Reszke, was very helpful and accommodating. There was no pressure, but he worked hard to answer any questions and was very patient as we worked through our decision making process. When it came time to get a deal done, he, along with the finance manager, Bob Bailey, met our asking price for our trade-in, and made the process of the deal very painless. Due to our schedule, we only had Friday evening to get this done, and I really appreciated that John and Bob both stuck with us well after closing time to finish the deal and get us on our way, again without any pressure or sense that we were an inconvenience. They made the buying experience the best Ive dealt with in a long time!With this being a used car, we did have a few punch-list items that needed to be fixed: there was some wind noise from the front windows at speed, the passenger mirror wouldnt adjust left or right, and the coolant was slightly low in the reservoir. The team scheduled us back out to get the work done, and put us in a 2019 Atlas loner for the duration of the fixes, which, as it happened, took a couple of weeks (troubleshooting, parts delivery, and installation.) The wind noise was due to genuine VW sun shades that had been installed by the previous owner, and required the window seals to be replaced to eliminate the noise. The sales team covered the cost for that with no push back at all. The mirror was due to a bad motor and was replaced under warranty. My only minor complaint was that they did not top off the coolant as I expected them to do... as I said, the coolant was just barely low, so Im not overly concerned about it... I would just have rather had it topped off and sitting between the min and max lines on the reservoir.In the end, though, were very happy with the car! My wife is very happy to be back in a VW, and our experience with Fairfield Volkswagen, John, and Bob was great!

I got my car back more broke then when I dropped it off! AFTER they had it for over a month!Oil light came on so they said replace the seal on the plastic timing chain cover. Paid, did that. Came back on they said it was the plastic oil pan now.Paid, replaced that. Also had factory remote start added. Get the car back and the oil light IS STILL ON, remote start only works sometimes, they broke my drivers seat but said since its bent and not all the way broke, they wont fix it. And now the car dies completely if it sits a few days.They want to blame that on a car stereo I installed in 2016 when I bought the car new and its 2021 so either A. Their technician messed it up (same one who forgot to put the factory battery cover back on and I had to have the service manager go back and get it off his bench) or B. Thats a cop out. Swapped the battery for a new one and it still does it. $4k into this and its worse than when I started! Awesome. Great customer service.

I will only be taking my Vehicles to be serviced here going forward! I have had my vehicles serviced here multiple times and the service and communication has been exceptional. Most recently I took my truck in to be looked at because it was making a strange sound. Turned out to be a very minor issue and didnt even charge for labor. We called and talked with John Reszke. We were interested in a 2019 Tacoma. We told him we were from out of town, and we chatted through what timing would look like for us to be there. He had vehicle ready when we arrived. Very much appreciated Johns approach, very straightforward, understanding we had driven a ways to get there. We had done much research and had ideas on this particular vehicle, as well as others, and our own trade in. We felt John was very fair with us and are very pleased with how the process proceeded. NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE! We brought our car here for warranty service and it took two weeks to fix then when we went to pick up the car another light came on. They took our car again to fix it and we get the car back running terribly. The wheels were shaky, the car is making noises it never made, and Fairfield Volkswagen Service Department refuses to fix it. We have called, emailed, and shown up in person and have only been disrespected by multiple people. There is still not a fix to the problem as we have been given the runaround by everyone we contact for over two weeks. We will never patron this dealership again. (12/2020)(1/2021) Edited to add: After months of dealing with Fairfield Volkswagens terrible service department, we end up buying a new car because we dont have time to deal with constant issues with the service department... obviously we did not go with a Volkswagen.(3/2021) Edited to add: Spoke with Ian, the new Fairifield Volkswagen general manager. Ian is literally the only reason we would ever consider revisiting being a Volkswagen customer again. Fairfield is now under great care due to his management. Five stars for Ian, zero stars for our previous experience at this location.

He wasn’t pushy at all, and was very knowledgeable and offered great suggestions to fit our needs. I heard about this dealership from two other people I know who had each had great experiences here as well. I would definitely recommend going to VW Fairfield to purchase a new vehicle.

Steve Haas made my experience a breeze. He was able to communicate with me by email, which made it convenient for me due to my work schedule. I drove from 3 hours away to purchase my new vehicle, so Steve made sure most of my paperwork was ready to go for me so that I didn’t have to be at the dealership longer than necessary. There was no haggling or hassle, Steve got me the exact vehicle I wanted and at the price I wanted it. David Parker (who went over my paperwork with me), also made the experience comfortable because he actually explained what I was signing and wasn’t pushy on selling extra products. They were both very helpful and professional and I am a very satisfied buyer :)

I flew down to Cincy, bought a car, then drove it back home - these guys had an excellent price. Even with airfare, fuel, and concessions, the car ended up being *significantly* cheaper than anything in northern Illinois.Apparently, VW dealers in the Chicago metropolitan area (Bill Jacobs, Fletcher Jones, Fox Valley Schaumburg, etc) arent willing or motivated enough to make a deal.The transaction was smooth and effortless - shout-outs to John Reszke & Tony Blaine.

I took my 2020 Tiguan in for its first service and the service was excellent. Charles Daddieh was waiting outside my vehicle before I stepped out of it. I pay for the oil change, tire rotation, and full vehicle inspection package and I am happy I chose that option. I only had to sign a few pieces of paper and my visit was hassle free. I appreciate the complimentary car wash, too! I was planning on getting it washed after the visit, but Fairfield VW saved me the wait at the car wash.

So glad I went to Fairfield VW! I came across the 2021 Tiguan R Line online and absolutely loved it. Even though the one I was looking for had already been sold, John and the rest of the staff at Fairfield VW worked quick to get the exact car I wanted to their lot the next day. I drove several hours to purchase a vehicle because they had a pretty decent deal. I asked that it be detailed (as the pictures online still showed some crumbs, places that needed to be wiped, etc) and gassed up ready for me when I got there. It wasnt. They never cleaned the areas I pointed out and had less than a quarter tank of gas. They acted as if I was unreasonable to request a full tank after I had just driven several hours and spent a large amount of money at their business. The reps I worked with werent very friendly or professional. They werent customer focused and didnt have the title ready to send to my outside financing company. Honestly they made me feel like the entire transaction was a huge inconvenience to them. I got a decent deal but it was their advertised price, no willingness to negotiate a penny. I wouldnt recommend at all.

We arrived at the used car lot 3 minutes before closing. Rob Ernst greeted us warmly. I told him that we were there to look at one vehicle and if it checked out, we were ready to negotiate and deal. It did, and Rob was very good to us. He provided satisfactory supporting evidence as to why he couldnt sell me the car at the price I asked, yet we still managed to negotiate a lower price. Were very happy with our purchase and the way that we were treated. Ive bought many cars before, and customer service is often a thing of the past, but not in this case.
