This is practically my second home:) always find what Im looking for and more. Fast check out, on a busier days there is a bit of a line. But not too crazy. Their garden section Has a good variety of plants/flowers/ gardening tools. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had a good experience so far

Same products as I reviewed for other stores but this is my favorite layout of all the home depots. There is a back/rear entrance with a few registers so stuff at the back of the store is easily gotten and paid for. Wish they all were set up like this. Its why it gets the extra star from me.
Jess in appliances is the best!!I purchased an item from the store that was missing a part. Jess was so resourceful and helpful in making sure I received the part. To go beyond what was excepted to make sure the customer was happy says a lot about her excellent customer service.
Would be 5 stars if an employee I met was not too busy with his cell phone to help me to find my stuffs.

Your typical neighborhood Home Depot, though a bit on the cluttered side because it seems to be a slightly smaller store (in my opinion). However, good stock, clean, and plenty of staff willing to help. It can get very busy and the store and parking lot is very awkwardly laid out. The parking lot is rather small too.
Giant mask mandate sign at door yet nobody is enforcing the mask requirement. Please enforce this to keep everyone safe, no excuse at this point.
I just went to the one in ffld...stood around for 20 min n finally left! Because after 3 calls for customer service n someone finally comes....walks past me n helps someone else n when she speaks to me tells me she doesnt really wrk this department. OMG!!!

I want to take some time to thank Tonie at home depot. I lost my wallet on Sunday around noon and she kept it safe the whole time. From the moment I lost it, she held on to it thinking that I would come back in since it has my car keys. However, I did not drive that day so I never noticed that I didnt have my wallet. I most likely would not have noticed until Monday morning before heading to work. The reason why I am so thankful is that she went out of her way to find me, she found me in the Home Depot system and called me at 7:37pm when she realized that I would not make it before closing. She informed me that she had my wallet, she said we close at 8 but I can give you more time and stay until 8:15. My drive there was full of anxiety because times are tough and I would completely understand if a desperate person took everything in my wallet. I had resigned myself to that thought process and already started thinking of what I need to do to replace everything. When I got there, she handed my wallet to me with everything in place, my social, my license, all of my credit cards INCLUDING the $1415 cash that I had in there for rent. I had never cried so much in my life, and COVID could not stop the innate nature of humans to comfort someone crying. So she hugged me and held me as I cried. I am just so thankful for her. Shes young, probably in school and she did the right thing and kept my belongings that I was so careless with safe. I hope management sees this because Tonie is PHENOMENAL. I like Home Depot but I especially love the workers there, especially my angel Tonie.
The Staffing and the expertise at this location are very good they always have people on hand that can answer your question I like going to this location compared to other Home Depots.
Standard Home Depot not much else to say! Most staff aren’t really well versed on products but there are some product experts sprinkled all over who really know what they’re talking about! They keep the place running so find them and you should be good to go. Else do your own research before going!

Well, I went in to get a couple of motion sensor spot lights, LED bulbs and batteries... Ill keep it short. I got a little too much stuff to carry and this absolutely wonderful young lady, an employee, went out of her way to accommodate a carriage for me. I was delighted and her personality was so welcomed that all I could do was thank her. I wish I could have done more for her kindness. Plus, she helped me find what I needed since I wasnt a frequent at this particular store. Ill go there again. It was a great experience compared to other Home Depot stores. Dont get me wrong, almost all of them have what you need and when you can find someone, they help but this one girl impressed me. I dont know if it was this particular stores policy bit as I mentioned, Ill go there again just becuase of that girl and her wonderful care.
Huge store, lot of parking, clean tidy and busy Home Depot, lot of and wide variety and huge selection of hardware products several options. Like I said very busy, I presume shortage or under staffed departments, bcas I spent atleast 45 minutes in storage department to find a designated associate for the department, finally I find an employee but he was tied up with other customer but he finally helped me “WARD” he was great he took time to help me out with cutting the shelves to the measurements I gave him, he did a good job 👍. But Home Depot should have more employees so it will increase customer satisfaction and on top the associates will be more productive and won’t be over worked or overwhelmed by the amount of work.
If you want to rent a moving truck, this is the best location using Penske at the rental department. A gentleman named Tyron will be happy to help you professionally. Prices are very good and trucks are clean and in good condition. Easy process over the phone to schedule your truck renting. I had a good experience moving with PENSKE at the Home Depot. 👍🏼👍🏼

I needed a bunch of tools and items for my job. Decided to try placing an in-store pick up online, thinking it would make things easier. I placed an order around 11 am for 5 items they had listed as in stock on their website for this location. I got an email saying it takes about 2 hours to put my order together. After more than 3 hours later, I decided to call to check on my order. It wasnt ready. So I went about my day thinking Id be getting a call sometime soon. I never did. So around 5 pm, I decided to go to the store and check on my order as I needed the items for the next day. Thinking they just forgot to call or email to let me know it was ready, I asked customer service about it. They told me that my order still wasnt put together. So the customer service woman grabbed the first co worker she saw and asked if he could get my order together. While I was waiting, I noticed multiple employees just standing around and chatting with each other. So Im thinking to myself Why couldnt they get my order together sooner. If they have time to socialize with each other, they should have time to do their jobs. About 15 minutes later, the employee returned with 1 out of the 5 items I had already paid for. And it wasnt even the right item. He explains to me how their online inventory isnt accurate and that they dont have the items I ordered so he offers me a refund. I decide to go look for the items myself or try and find something similar to what I need. I ended up finding 2 out of the 5 items they told me they didnt have. When I returned with the items in hand to the customer service desk, the employee pulls out a bag from behind the desk with those same 2 items and my name on it. He says to me Oh, nobody gave this to you? NOPE! I was extremely frustrated with the huge waste of time of this entire experience and the unreliability of their online inventory. I wouldnt suggest trying to place an order for in store pick up. Itll be much quicker and easier for you go to the store and find the items yourself, or order from their warehouse. Thats the last time I make the mistake of trusting employees at this Home Depot to simply do their jobs.

Helpful finding stuff, not a great store. I asked them to cut a 2 x6 so I could fit it in my car. I asked them to cut it to length, to save me from a second cut, and this is what I got. They have really nice equipment, and I have to go and fix it with my battery powered skill saw. Layout is confusing too.

Out of all the Home Depot’s this one is very small, not a good floor plan and non existent cashiers. So long lines where no one is social distancing. Open cashiers and get people moving so they don’t have to wait in lines
I dont visit the store often, but its very helpful to have one nearby for the odd job you need to do to fix some problem. When I do go, I enjoy browsing through their large collections of tools and products and sometimes finding something useful for a repair thats been put off.
At least 3 employees walked right past me when it was pretty clear I was looking for help. I eventually found what I was looking for on the website.
I needed to purchase an urgent item. It was not in the right shelf location and it took a long time to find someone to assist me. BUT once I connected, it was like I was the most important customer in the store. The service was incredibly helpful, proactive and friendly. Three different store people helped me and two stayed even after their normal work hours ended. Great service but home depot needs a better system to help customers find things without the need for heroic attention.
Had a really serious problem with a charge on my account from this store and spoke to Asst. Manager Ramsey 2 times.Each time he tried to relate to my problem and understood me as a real person, he really did care. We worked it out, problem solved. He’s a decent guy that takes time to listen. I appreciate his effort.

This place is an emotional roller-coaster but full of hidden gems. The customer service here is amazing 👏 . It may seem a little iffy at first but just ask the next person 😉 you will find a Kyle or a Derrick to offer amazing A1 customer service. I rate 4 stars because of the bad eggs that felt they could read my mind and didnt listen to my concern AT ALL. Wont mention his name but the turn around was amazing.

Review for roofing services, but likely the same for any service where Home Depot sends a contractor to your home. They will not send you a high quality contractor. If you are buying HVAC, find a local contractor. If you are buying a roof, find a local contractor. If you need an extra large bottle of bleach to drink after dealing with terrible Home Depot services, feel free to buy at Home Depot.You may save money going with their contractors but you will pay more in the long run.
Went to get the color of some paint adjusted. The associate was super informative and friendly. They got the color close enough, offered some tips on getting a better match, and invited me to come back before their shift ended if it ended up being no good.

East_of_town locale on kings highway cutoff (U.S. route 1), the main east/west route through town. Easy_on_easy_off from exit 23 of i_95 (Connecticut turnpike).This is an extremely busy store in a very busy shopping plaza with tons of good food and retail spots in the immediate vicinity. This store has been a neighborhood staple and seen all the others grow up and thrive around it.

On line ordering with in the store pickup works best if you know exactly what you want. I wanted light bulbs and although they pulled the product I ordered when I arrived at the store I had brought along a burnt out bulb to make sure I was buying the same thing. I discovered that while it was the correct size and wattage it was not the same product.. I was able to find the exact model on the shelf and return the prepaid product without any problem.
I really wish Home Depot would allow us to pay with our phones. As in Google/Apple Pay.
I was shopping at this location on 4/22/2021 at 3pm and I was waiting on the line for 5 minutes and then Someone just cut the line and when me and some other costumers confront the cashier at register no:8 just said that there is no lines and there was clearly more then 7 people waiting as they were pretty busy.
Buying a stove is an artform. To not be gouged with an 1100 gas subzero range, first think how much of each component is urgent, and what is fluff. Decide a balance of fluff and stuff...then find the model number and do your own research who has the best after service plan. Then the best total package price. Bet you wont buy it at Home Depot. Buy a Milwaukee drill instead.

I am disappointed in the way they handled my order. I needed some tools, they have seven in stock, but would not take them down from the shelf until after the store closed. They dont want to block the aisles for customers going to the cash register. Thats insane. I needed tools to finish a job, now I have to wait to the next day to get them. Unacceptable
I called the store 5 times to see if they had molding and they hung up on me each time the millwork desk and service desk never shopping here again gonna take my business to lowes NO CAP

Order online and pickup at customer service desk is very handy. I visited at 8 a.m. The two employees at the customer service counter were engaged in seemingly personal phone calls or computer work and did not make sure contact with me. Had to wait five minutes to be served.

A nice Home Depot and I have often shopped here for plants and garden vegetables. They usually have a very nice selection to choose from. Recently I went in to see about a shed and to take a look at the new ones coming in. I can always find what I need here and often purchase as I am always making a repair, painting, gardening, or redesigning something. This particular Home Depot is conveniently located in Fairfield near everything which is why I like it so much!!!!!
I frequent Home Depot for many small household improvement projects. In my experience, it is really hit or miss when it comes to knowledgeable staff. So far the Fairfield location has exceeded my expectations on various occasions. The last time I was in there for a leaky faucet, not only was I directed to the right aisle, but my escort pulled the American Standard replacement part off the shelf for me. Legend! It is also very convenient off 95.

COVID-19 review:Ive been to this HD location twice in the last two weeks. The first time, I needed items from the garden section and wanted to pick them myself, so I didnt order ahead. The trip took two hours due to the long line to enter the store and the even longer check out line once inside. They are clearly operating with reduced staff as not all checkout lanes were open during this prime time on a Saturday morning.Given how long that trip took me, when I decided to hang a new garage storage solution, I ordered online for curbside pick up. I would recommend you plan for at least a 20 minute wait for curbside pickup, even during hours when the store is not that busy. They have orders awaiting pickup throughout multiple aisles of the store, and it must be difficult for them to locate those orders. For me, at 8:30 AM and only a small line to get into the store, I had about a 30 minute wait for my items. It probably would have been faster to go it and get them myself.This is a difficult time for retailers, and HD is doing very well. Wait times continue to be a problem, though, so I would recommend searching local hardware stores before you try HD.
Came here and asked what their best suggestions were to getting a key out of a lock. The guy said call a lock Smith. Rented a drill from them. The gate was locked at 6:47 am and I have to get to work too. Someone called for an attendant to come, but 15 minutes later here we are.

Tried to order a rug, no one was available as they didnt scheule someone to come in. When I went back a week later, I got help from someone who interrupted me 3 times to help other people. The gentlemen who came out to measure was great The follow up from Home Depot has been horrible. They call with an automated response & say the wait time is less than 5 minutes. Still on hold 26 minutes later. . . .
I understand people are edgy during this crisis that were in, I have shopped in the Fairfield store since the day it was built Ive always been treated with respect from the employees, but yesterday was another story I absentmindedly walked through the exit door having just arrived back in town not realizing how your system works and they completely tore my head off before I even stepped through the door, then I was in the back of your store Looking up on the shelves and someone started screaming at me that I wasnt allowed in that section even though the red metal gate that i didnt see was open, which she immediately closed, I think your employees need a little more sensitivity training during this stressfull period.

Still the place to go for home improvement, but they are increasingly out of stock of many things...and corona virus be damned on Saturday there was a waiting line for the checkout waiting line. It was Saturday.

There were two young ladies that greeted you when you walked in. They were very pleasant and helpful.
I arrived home from a business trip the evening winter storm Riley was in full swing to find the power at my house had been out for hours. The sump pumps in my basement do not have a battery back-up, and the water was 14 inches and rising. I was extremely concerned about losing the furnace if it rose much further. In a panic, I call the Home Depot in Fairfield at 8:57 pm to see if they had generators in stock. (Keep in mind that the store closes at 9:00 pm) Jim in hardware answered the phone and was very sympathetic to by predicament. He spoke with Ivy who was the store manager on duty. The two of them told me that they would stick around long enough for me to get there to purchase a generator. I was able to get there within 20 minutes, and as promised, they met me at the door. Jim took his time to help me pick out the right fit for my situation. I bought the generator, and they even had someone help me load it into my vehicle. I was able to get home and get the pumps running before I lost the furnace. I am so grateful for the first rate customer service exhibited by Ivy, Jim, and the guy (whose name I did not get) that helped me load the generator.

Service with a smile. A two week old Lawn Tractor I bought from Kings Highway Home Depot broke. Home Depot took it back and refunded easily & immediately.But better... Their staff educated me on Good, Better and Best Lawn Tractors. I drove home with a different Lawn Tractor and a smile. Thank You Kings Highway Home Depot.
