So its install day. The installers came which were two Oriental and one Hispanic gentleman that came. They came in took a look at what had to be done. The lead his name was Lee, he brought in a jig saw and started cutting the corner braces off my brand new cabinet. I had to stop him and ask what he was doing, so I called the store spoke to Michelle who then had to give me to Alex explain that the braces he was cutting off is what hold my false drawer on the cabinet. So she said that he has to remove it. I explained to her that when Daniel came to measure that i needed my sink to but up against the brace and they couldnt be removed. She said that Lee says it has to, so after some back in forth we figured a solution out. They started bringing pieces in. One of my walls were not level and it bumped out a hair which Daniel measured that and said are you ok with a 2 centimeter gap on both sides I said yes as we hadnt put up back splash up and that it would be covered by it. So Lee decided to cut a 5ft by 2 inch hole in my wall to slide the counter top in, which now made all the measurements off that Daniel measured. I had to leave for 30 mins and get my daughter so when I come back I found I have a 6 inch to 7 inch cut on both sides of the sink base cabinet. He trys to explain that you wont see it and that the sink will cover it and the cut was for the sink lip. My sink lip is only 8cms thick, while cutting that out he nicked the neighboring cabinets. So after trying to explain what he did they decided to put another piece on and tried to tell me that my one cabinet was not level so Lee brought in a 6 ft level and tried to tell me that the last cabinet was not level in the front and both his other workers agreed that it was. On one end I had a 1.5 inch over hang and the side where the cabinet he said was off there was a .25 inch over hang. Mind you if put a hole in the wall for the counter to go into which made all the measurements off. So I told him that wouldnt work, well he starts gluing everything down as he figured that was ok. So I had to scream at him asking what he was doing and said we need to fix this that it cant stay like that. So I had to cut my floor out to push two cabinets backwards to fix his screw up from him cutting the wall to slide that piece in crooked. So while they are finishing up they did not silicone where the granite meets the wall, where the counter meets the cabinets as well. So I asked them if they were going to do that and I received deer in the head lights look. They arrived at 130pm and this was at 6pm and the office was closed. I showed him all the chips on the corners of the counter tops and of the 5 he fixed two, one with epoxy and the other with bondo. Where the two granites meet at the seem was not flush so I had to have him fix that as well. It then came down to time to pay and I tried to explain I needed a receipt before I paid and that I want these issues fixed he said shop closed they will call tomorrow. He called someone they wrote a receipt took a picture and sent it to me. After two days and hearing nothing from them I contacted Michelle, explained my issue and she said she would have someone out to fix it. The next day Michelle calls me and states that they need pictures to make sure that all the issues would be addressed, so I sent them. Now it is over a week and have not heard anything. I have added pictures which honestly dont do justice for all that is wrong. My two finger ones the one on the left is so sharp that it cut my wife and caused her to bleed. The stove picture shows how crooked that piece against the all is. The gap at the front is quarter of a inch and the rear is three quarters of a inch. PLEASE PLEASE read the reviews on them and dont just settle because they are the cheapest. The craftsmanship is not there and to send guys that can not speak English knowing that there could potentially have a issue arise with no resolution or even a next day call is beyond me.
First time shopping here. Had a great experience, found a great piece of granite. Dates for measuring and install have a very good turnaround time,
This is the second time we have used Unity for granite countertops. The first was our previous home and now our current home. We couldnt have been happier with the selection of granite, the pricing, and the service. The granite always looks perfect. From the beginning, we felt we were always making our decisions on our own time. We never felt pressured and haggled. Quotes were quick and installation came just a couple weeks later. For the price and service, it cant be beat.
We have used Unity for our cabinets and countertops over the course of the last 6 years. I am always happy with their level of customer service. Between Henry, Maggie, and the rest of the team they work with me to adjust layouts or fix any issues that may arise without a problem. Their installers are on time, do an excellent job and always clean up after themselves which is greatly appreciated!
Did a great job on our cabinet and counter install. Prices are competitive for Cincinnati. Henry and Alex very understanding and worked hard to make sure our kitchen install went right. Would work with them again for sure
I cannot have enough words to describe about Unity; their service and dedication and commitment towards their customers. Their warehouse was clean and I worked with Alex, she is just too good. She always was available to answer any questions and concerns that I had and always followed-up with me. Their entire staff and crew did a Phenomenal job doing on the re-model of my kitchen; new cabinets as well and the Island. I will look no where else other than Unity!! Thank you
Great selection, no pressure sales staff, great prices. If you are looking for granite or quartz this is where to go
Our experience with Unity Cabinet and Granite was great from start to finish. Michelle led us through the process of picking a granite slab that would match up with our existing cabinets and kitchen flooring. The man who came to measure was quick and efficient. The installers arrived on time and were very courteous and friendly. They did an excellent job Installing the granite and the only seam we needed was matched and nicely finished. We are two very satisfied customers and would recommend this company to anyone in search of new countertops.
Great place! Weve used their cabinets and stone for two home improvement projects and are planning a third. Their prices are hard to beat and the quality is great.
Looked like nice cabinets but didnt have what we were looking for. Lady was very helpful.
My experience with Unity Cabinet & Granite in Fairfield was fantastic from beginning to end. Their prices are very reasonable, and their work is awesome. We are very pleased with our granite counter tops and cabinets. The sale person Michelle is great to work with.
My mom used this company. I am writing this for her. She is very disappointed. There is scratches on her new counter top and they will not come to look. They have been ignoring her completely and would not recommend them to anyone.
Ive had the opportunity to use several different granite places in the last few years - from installing a laundry room in a condo, to building a custom home (with an expensive local fabricator), to putting kitchen counters in homes for my two adult children. Unity has been the absolutely best and Ill never go anyplace else again. The sales process was excellent. I called for an appointment and told I could come right over (based on my experience with other fabricators, I recommend always calling first). Michelle and I talked about the job, she spent time listening to my price range and showing me available slabs, and then more slabs. She took my measurements, gave me an estimate on the spot.I twice had to reschedule the measuring process due to delays in our overall project, and they were both friendly and accommodating both times. The second reschedule was the day before our appointment, because I forgot to call, but they were still pleasant and made me feel like family. The guy who did our measurements was incredible, even with our uneven walls (old house) and weird angles.I just cant say enough good about Unity Granite. Id give them a 10 if I could.
Maggie was great to work with! Very knowledgeable and helpful. This is the only granite-quartz company that were able to fulfill our no seam counter request. Highly recommend!!!
We had a great experience with Unity in Fairfield. Michelle was great to deal with from beginning to end. We purchased our cabinets and granite from Unity. Impressed with the quality and pricing. Definitely recommend anyone to work with Michelle! Great customer service!
Received a decent granite countertop. They get sold out very fast, so book it before its gone. I have been to many fabricators and nobody can beat their price. Maggie helped us from start to finish and is a great person. Only place I felt uncomfortable is their installers do not speak english and its very hard to communicate. They are knowledgeable in what they do. It would have been nice if they had a translator along with them.
Purchased granite countertops from them over a year ago now. They were very fast and very attentive to detail. Our peninsula was quite large and everyone had said it would need to be cut into sections. Unity was able to do in in one section and even let me come over and look at what the piece would look like before they cut as I was curious what it would look like. Price was much better than other local stores.
From the moment we walked into Unity to chat with someone about Granite counter tops to the last second when the installers finished up, Unity was more than professional. Michelle was patient with my wife while she took her time deciding on what colors she wanted. It took a few times back to the showroom to have her decide. The fellow that came out and measured was a few minutes late BUT he called to let us know that the previous job was running a tad bit over and that he would be right there. The installers arrived right on time. They disabled the old counter tops and installed the new ones in less than two hours. They cleaned everything up to back where it was before they had started the install. Both the wife and I are 100% happy with Unity and recommend them for your counter-top custom work.
I had my granite installed Saturday and I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. They got there at the beginning of the installation window and started right away and when there was a problem with one of the pieces they corrected it the same day. I also liked that I could go to the warehouse and pick which specific piece of granite that I wanted.
Had the same issue as Pats review above, but to say it was due to racial profiling is laughable. We were there over an hour looking and nobody came up to us. We had to stand at the counter for a while and eventually got their attention. This is more of a contractors type store not your local HD. You have less selection to choose from but saving is incredible. Only had one small issue with install but I have yet to call them to have it fixed. Other than that, for the price it was great.
I could have given .5 star if there is an option. Customer service is very bad. They did not honor their own coupon and earlier quote which was given one week before.
In my opinion : Terrible company, do not use!Brand new custom home ....Scratches in my bamboo flooring.Cabinets dont fit due to mismeasure.Damaged my drywall in multiple places.Cabinets falling apart after two weeks of install.Extremely rude installers.Counter tops dont fit correctly.Seeking lawyer at this moment.
It was fun to shop at Unity Cabinet & Granite. Michelle and Alex at Fairfield shop helped us to find right material and cabinets. They explained patiently.
From start to finish I was very satisfied with Unity. Michael at the Florence store was very helpful as well as the staff at the Fairfield location where you picked slabs. Robert and his install team were quick and clean. The finished product is excellent and the price per sqft really was as low as advertised. We will definitely be hiring them again soon.
I had been to many Granite and cabinte companies trying to find someone that would cut a custom piece of granite for a corner cabinet I had built. When I spoke to Unity Cabinet and Granite the first words out of their mouth was sure we can! All I had to do was give them a pattern and they cut it exact. What is funny is I only needed that piece cut and by the time we were done we ended up doing our entire kitchen. Great pricing and fabulous installation. Professional, quick and very good! When I need cabinets or counter tops I again I will only go to Untiy!
Stay away from shady business. Terrible terrible terrible I had unity put in granite countertops. I am very unhappy with the job that was done and the product. They installed the countertops and made cuts in my house. They did not cover anything and my house has brand new drywall paint Hardwood-floors light fixtures shades and etc. They made one cut and then had the wrong measurement so then they had to make another cut which doubled the concrete dust. They are very sloppy and very misleading.I picked out my granite and once it was installed nothing matched which leads me to believe they built my counters from pieces lay around. Nothing Matches. I have tried to contact the owner Alex multiple times through email and via phone call.I read the reviews from the past customers and even mentioned it to the sales lady and she’s guaranteed I would be satisfied.I had to pay a cleaning service $350 to clean from the top to bottom. Stay away from these people
Shady business! The price was 15% higher than quoted on the phone.
Only gave them ne star b/c they had a nice Koi pond but they didnt acknowledge that were even there we are African American maybe that was the issue we walked out with our $10,000 even when we let them know we were leaving they did not say a word I will report this our money was green but I guess our skin was the wrong shade of black
Ive used Unity on three projects (including two kitchen remodels) on two homes. Were very pleased and they price fairly.
