The car speaks for itself, but to go through the car buying process with no pressure from the sales team was a welcomed relief. Robert walked me through the various models and leasing and buying options; he was super knowledgeable on the vehicles; and then the closing process was a breeze. This has become my go to service spot for my Volvo. I’ve tried several dealerships over my ownership (in different cities and also within the DC area) and the experience here far exceeds any of those others. I am always able to make an appointment to get in, sometimes on short notice, and they’ve always been able to take care of my issues efficiently. I’ve had a great experience working with Nick Blank who provides courteous, thorough, and timely service each time I’ve been in. I feel he’s always been transparent about my vehicle and I can trust his guidance. The dealership has a very nice sitting/lounge area when I’m waiting but also extremely close to the metro for easy access to DC. This is not the closest dealership/service option near me (or the cheapest - it’s a dealership after all!) but I find it worth it on both fronts for the positive experience I’ve had repeatedly.
I leased an XC-40 from this dealership. Transaction was fine at the time but 7 weeks have elapsed and I still do not have tags, and the dealer has apparently failed to submit the lease contract to Volvo Car Financial Services, so I have no way of making the monthly lease payments.I have been unable to get a response from the dealer for days despite multiple calls and messages left with the GM, the finance manager, and my salesman. I should not have to work this hard to find out how to pay Volvo for the lease!

I called Alexander Major yesterday afternoon to inquire about a Volvo S60 T5. The dealership was set to close at 7pm, and he picked up my call at 6:57pm. He immediately sent me the availability, full details about the vehicle and his immediate contact information. He was helpful, eager, honest and worked with me with the utmost professionalism. After allowing my husband and I to take the car for a test drive for a few hours today, I drove it back excited about the prospect of purchasing. Alexander was literally the best car salesman that I have ever worked with (I have owned 7 cars, and have experienced many, many more dealerships than I care to remember). He actually took time to explain the features of the car and did not try to push us into something that we didnt want/need. He was super friendly and genuinely interested in making sure that my wife and I left the dealership happy. We absolutely made the right choice in picking Volvo. Note that, although my wife had owned a mid-80s Volvo tank, neither of us had ever owned or experienced a modern Volvo product. After our S60 lease ends, we will 100% make Beyer Volvo our first stop in selecting a new car (hopefully something fully electric!).
Our sales person, Natalie, was ready for our late arrival to the dealership only 30 minutes before closing. She had the car ready for us so we could test drive it and stayed at the dealership until the whole purchase process ended, close to 2 hours after the official closing business hours on a Tuesday. She was very helpful and offered to take care of a couple of things that we noticed in the used car that were were purchasing that night. The financing process was quick and painless, and the person that helped us—whose name I cannot recall right now—answered all our questions. The car was delivered a few days later.

My experience purchasing my recent car was the best I’ve ever had… There was no pressure, lots of information, and Time was taken on the front end to discern exactly what our needs and desires were. This information gathering and listening by the staff allowed them to help find the best fit for us as a family. Mike was a great sales person and Pete was very easy to work with. It will be hard to keep me away from a family owned and run business in the future as it was a far superior experience to any of the large dealerships.

Came out of state and flew in to purchase a vehicle. The salesman worked with me well, and even picked me up from the airport which was great. The transaction went smoothly, but giving 2 stars because it is almost 45 days later and I still do not have plates. I have called 5 times and cant seem to talk to anyone that knows anything. They should of sent the paperwork to my state immediately and now coming up on 45 days and my temp tag is expiring. Every time I call they tell me the person is not in today. I am pretty sure no one works there.
Today I brought in my XC90 for annual maintenance. My service advisor was Miguel Jaime. Overall a great experience from start to end. their online scheduling tool works great. Upon arrival, Miguel was very polite and efficient. He checked me in immediately and had me out in just under 1.5 hours, despite having estimated 2 hours for the service. The facility and waiting area are immaculate. Scandinavian minimalist - nice colors, comfortable furniture, uncluttered, clean, quiet and peaceful enough to get some work done. Coffee was great too. My car was returned washed and smelling great on the inside. Thank you for the complimentary state inspection. Definitely wont be returning to the other Volvo dealer I used last year.
2 weeks ago I went into this dealer to buy an RDX that I could see needed a little work. My initial salesperson Kal worked with me to fix some things so it would be worth the price they were asking for it. However it took weeks and multiple visits back to the dealer where I was told it would be ready for pickup and it wasnt. The day I took it home I got an extensive drive of the car and felt it wasnt really for me. I felt I was rushed into it and the whole process had been a mess so I asked about returning which had been mentioned to me before but was now told wasnt possible. Instead I pursued a car at another dealer so they could just take the trade in. Here I discovered that the loan I signed for was significantly higher than what I was told, some of the math doesnt add up, and that the loan had been moved to another bank with my authorizing signature or notifying me of this change. This goes against a very important section in my sales paperwork and is a violation of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act. I was instructed by a friend to pursue a rescission agreement for the return and refund of my money immediately. Unfortunately the sales manager Max, who had been lying to me the whole time left and right and completely uncooperative unless I twisted his arm, refused to do such an agreement. Never have I met a manager who treats customers and their concerns with such unawareness and disregard as him. Not only did he yell and fight back, but he hung up on me in refusal. Add to the mix the debauchery and sleazy lies of the Finance manager Ryan, who pushed me into a bank I didnt want to be with and lied to my face in such obvious fashion that I couldn’t even process what happened, and I had the worst car buying experience of my entire life and I have been buying cars since I was 16. I felt less than human, walked on, cheated, forgotten, manipulated (especially by Ryan), and so mistreated that I want nothing to do with this vehicle they gave me. A vehicle that is still not in the condition that I was told it would be in when I came to pick it up the first and even third time. I will pursue legal action unless my requests are approved. Do not go here and especially do not trust anything these people say. Go to literally any other dealer.

Milo called us back within five minutes of contacting your sales dept. to get more information about the vehicle. This positive interaction and Milo saying “we’ll do what we can to get you in the car today” was actually true!Upon arrival, Milo spoke with us and then Kamiran worked with us mostly with the paperwork and assisting us with the test drive procedure. Very helpful. Not once did we feel pressured from any of your staff and after working with our budget we were signing the paperwork with good natured Johnny who answered our questions.This professional and attentive service was much appreciated during this important financial decision for us. We are sure you hear the good and bad with sales but please remember this positive interaction the next time you hear some negative comments.
I used to work at this dealership long ago, which is why i brought my 1993 Volvo 240 to them with electrical issues. I knew they would be able to take care of it and they did!Thanks Sean Kelty and crew.Parts department is also excellent and I can still rely on them for parts even for a car this old. Mostly small stuff as Volvo doesnt make a lot of the parts for these cars anymore. Not the fault of the Parts department obviously.

They lured me out to the dealership under false pretenses and wouldn’t even admit it. I know it’s the nature of the industry but I was mislead or deceived by everyone I spoke with. The sales manager was a master of avoiding answering questions by either distracting me or talking about the subject I asked about so much with no reference to the actual question I was either totally confused or completely forgot what my question was.The sales manager kept asking what they could do to make the deal work. But the answer to that question wasn’t lowering the price of the vehicle or negotiating interest rates it was a secret he kept in an effort to get me to pay as much for the car as he could squeeze out of me.The best was being told I could only view the warranty coverage during the signing process. When I asked to see it the sales manager brought up a comparison of how long the warranty would last mileage or time wise. He would only verbally explain the coverage in the vaguest terms possible.Don’t take this too personally! I feel badly for the kind of actions that are necessary for you all to be successful!I would have bought the Pacifica I was looking at because it is exactly what I wanted. It checked off all my requirements except I couldn’t get anyone to tell me if it came with a full size spare, if there was a manual, where the spare tire was located… the girl who showed us the car knew nothing about it. Which probably wasn’t her fault since we had an appointment with someone else who wasn’t able to keep it. I had to pull the comparison between the vehicles up myself on my phone because it was the only way to get certain information.This was just a very unprofessional and disappointing experience. I know it’s not a ton of money but for me putting $15k down is a huge investment and I was expecting more consideration based on that fact.Last thing, I was told 10 Pacificas were on the lot, but I was not told that only two of them could be viewed or purchased. I know that’s not a lie, it’s called deliberate deception.I’m sure no one even read this but it felt good to vent what I found to be a customer service nightmare.
The experience you can be assured to have at Don Beyer Volvo is what you would expect from a luxury automaker. It was easy to call and set up an appointment that was less than a week away. Clear markings indicate where to go when you arrive with the only confusion stemming from the markings on the identical glass automatic-sliding doors (there’s a 50% chance of being right if you’re not paying close attention). Once inside the service advisor area I was quickly acknowledged and checked in.Volvo is known for safety and the Beyer-Volvo service department should be know for just the right amount of communication. I waited in the comfortable waiting area for my vehicle and received a combination of SMS/text and face-to-face updates. At no point was I left wondering about the status of my repair. Additionally, the reception staff was friendly and helpful.This Volvo dealership has recently been remodeled/renovated to match Volvo’s most recent showroom styling (think of an Apple Store). It was a little hard to find a quiet area to take a phone call, however there was plenty of seating and power outlets to plug-in should you need to address work while you wait. Also good to note that there are at least four EV charging stations in the customer parking lot.Regarding COVID safety, there is plenty of space to give distance between others, hand sanitizer stations are available, and mask-wearing was 100% among customers and staff. One salesperson was phoning-it-in by consistently improperly wearing their mask, maybe they were having an off-day.10 out of 10. Would recommend Don Beyer Volvo to service my Volvo over other area dealers.
*Update* - 02/09/2021I got a call from Max a manager at Don Beyer Falls Church almost immediately after posting a one star review. He was very nice and respectful and offered to provide us with black rubber floor mats and a black rubber cargo mat as a way to apologize. My faith in Don Beyer Falls Church is restored! They went over and beyond to make us happy and we are very grateful. Thank you Max!!Don Beyer Falls Church promised one thing and completely went back on their word after we drove 60 miles to buy the car. We bought the car and are happy with our new Volvo but if you do business at this Volvo please make sure you get everything in writing during negotiations because they do not honor their word and take advantage once they have you in the door.
Ive owned a lot of cars, and this is honestly the best experience Ive ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were treated honestly, and never felt pushed or sold to. Robert [Graves] was so patient with my indecision on color combinations, and told me more about the Volvo we bought than any other salesperson had told me (even more than what Id read on Google!). Ive always prided my own company on approaching every client with a family or friend feeling-you mean a lot to me, so whatever is important to you, is important to me and I have that expectation of those from whom I do business with. Robert (and the Sales Manager, and even the Finance Department!) did that and more, and I would absolutely recommend them to everyone!

However, there is a deterioration of their culture as they deal with the Volvo brand. Do they do the job? Yes. Do they price reasonable? For a Volvo service dealer, yes. Do I feel when I am giving my car I am getting a better car back with quality details to take care of my car? Absolutely not. I have never put any review on almost anything, so me making this effort to share this with you disappoints me. Normally they can be a 5-Star sevice.... but there is a culture issue on how they manage the vehicles when they hand them to you and walking you through the work.... it is a Volvo, not a Toyota Tercel. I am sure they will fix this and a bunch of people will write awesome reviews. By the way, I own a Volvo XC-90.Follow up: I did communicate with the Volvo Service folks after. I can tell you that it was a great conversation. Again, absolute professionals and know what they are doing. As I talked it through with them and further reviewed the situation with them, there is actual work being done by them to resolve some of the nuances on culture and branding. That is the best part about Don Beyer Volvo, they will do something about it. Not perfect, and they do not need to be. In the coming months you will see a whole host of additional services that they will offer that will get to what my point was in this review. Thank you to Don Beyer Volvo - you are doing exactly what you are supposed to do - keep getting better.
Not a great experience, and unfortunately this is consistent with our experience thus far with this dealership . When we bought the car (as a CPO); we were told the curb rash would be taken care of and the dirty/damaged fobs would also be taken care of included with the purchase. Neither happened . We moved on, a bit disappointed but life is too short to get upset about unkept promises by car dealerships and condescending & careless comportment by the sales staff. A few months after the initial purchase, we brought the car in as the sunroof stopped functioning. We also asked to purchase rubber mats again, as our first attempt was met with a non-response . The mats this time were in the car but strewn carelessly in the back of the car when we picked it up for the sunroof repair. Would have been an immeasurably better customer service experience had someone simply inquired if we’d like them installed and done so. Again; life goes on and these are all manageable things but it’s evident there’s just a lack of care for the customer experience at this dealership. The sunroof is fixed now so we’re hopeful we have no other electronics issues or otherwise to avoid coming in again.

At first I was skeptical, but I’m that way anytime I buy a vehicle but Beyers made me feel like I was actually a part of the Volvo family. I worked with Khalid Ibrahim and he was very patient with me. We literally exchanged 93 emails to make sure I got the vehicle with everything I wanted. He made sure that I was provided with all the amenities and comforts I wanted in my XC60 T5 Inscription. I was pleased with his delivery. If I were to rate him from 1-10, he would be a 15 bar none. He made my experience one of few worries, and kept regular communication with me to make sure my demands were met. I’d highly recommend Beyer Volvo. They really make you feel like family. We bought our XC 70 wagon in 2005 from Don Beyer and have always had it serviced there. The service has consistently been excellent. Clear explanations are provided of any work recommended, including whether it should be done at that time or can be deferred. My current service adviser is Sean Kelsey. I would recommend Beyer and Sean to any Volvo owner seeking quality service at a fair price.

My girlfriend was looking for a car for awhile and we though we found ours here. Unfortunately it wasn’t what we were looking for but being 3 hours away Dexter went above and beyond to send us videos of the car and helped out by offering different options to purchase the vehicle being so far away. Although we didn’t get the car the service was excellent and would definitely do business with them the next time!
This is a review for the service department. Earlier this week I brought my Volvo in for scheduled maintenance, two recalls, and a state inspection. Sean Kelty and his colleagues took great care of my car and me. Everything was handled in a thorough, professional manner with no surprises, and the work was finished earlier than expected. It was also my first visit to the new Beyer Volvo location, which looks great!
Nick Blank was the Service Advisor for a recent repair on my XC60. He was amazing. This particular situation required his having to go directly to Volvo for the answer, which he gladly did. Also, he communicated with the warranty company to ensure that the repairs would be covered. He got me a loaner on very short notice and communicated with me often about the status of the repair. Honestly I have to say it was a great experience coming to this dealership to get my sweet S80 serviced.Nick took absolute great care of me and my car while I was there. I was in an out super fast and my car never ran better!! It was perfect. I must say the real hightlight of my exeperience was when I was attacked by a cicada in the showroom!! The receptionist literally saved my life. I didn’t catch her name but THANK YOU🤗 With Volvo being eco an environmentally friendly she saved both me an the cicada; me from running the showroom windows in terror of the cicada and he cicada by capturing it an releasing it back into the wild!! Unfortunately I’m still having a bad experience with the sales department. I bought a used car 2 months ago, and until today I haven’t get my license plates. I had called the manager several times and they don’t respond ! I feel there’s race discrimination because I’m a Latino woman. I will never buy a car again at Beyer Volvo cars Falls Church and I will never recommend it !

I had a great experience here as I have been to other volvo dealerships in the past and service there was lack luster. Big thank you to Robert G. Who helped me to decide between an XC90 or XC60, and on my schedule which kept him way late on a Friday. I also took my XC60 in for repair work on the rims and they came out practically new! I love my Volvo and I’m glad I chose it over other vehicles.
It took me less than two hours to buy a car here in 2020. Today is the first oil change for a new car in 2021, and I told them that they only need to change the oil, other things dont need to change, and I give the car at 9:10 in the morning. Three hours have passed and they havent finished yet. I really dont know what kind of work efficiency they are doing to make them spend such a long time. Im also an autobody technician. I can finish the work in 15 minutes. I dont know what to do in 3 hours. Even if they update the files, it should be finished in 30 minutes. I thought it would be quick, so I didnt have breakfast. As a result, it was already 12 oclock when I got the car out!!!
This was our best EVER car buying experience thanks in large part to our salesman, Robert Graves. Robert was extremely responsive and knowledgeable. He worked to accommodate our complicated schedules and ensured that our test drives gave us an accurate experience with the car. He and their stellar Finance Director, Nimat Naderi, made the actual purchase a pleasant and efficient experience. I learned a lot from Robert about the car, but they also provide a specialist who explains all the features and the amazing but complicated technology. I am enjoying my car even more as a result. New to the area, we serviced our Volvo for the first time here and the service representative, Sean Kelty, provided courteous professional service, one of the best service experiences we have had at any dealership. We also leased a vehicle, Alex Morgan was our sales representative. Alex was focused on finding us the exact vehicle and options we wanted. He dropped the new vehicle off at our residence and from the comfort of our home took all the time we needed to review the cars functions. After the sale, he continued to make himself available to answer any of our questions and made sure we were 100% satisfied. I realize buying a vehicle can be unpleasant, but Alex made the entire experience friendly, professional and no sales pressure. We would use Alex Morgan again for any future vehicles, highly recommend him. The GM Peter Keterson has assembled a 5-star team.

I had some minor issues with my car and they were able to resolve them all quickly and professionally and everything was covered by warranty. They have an awesome pick-up service but its only for service over $500. If you have a big service coming up like 40K check-up its definitely the way to do it.Ive worked with Matthew and Nick who are both fantastic.
The service techs always seem to do a great job of explaining everything, and giving me the pros and cons of any particular service. I feel the process is transparent and I feel as if Ive been treated with integrity.The only downside is that loaners never seem to be available. Their policy is that any service that is under 2 hours does not warrant a loaner, which seems reasonable on its face, however, Ive never left the dealership in under three and a half hours. Many times the service has lasted most of the day, meaning I have to wait in their showroom the entire time. In one instance they did offer me an uber ride home in a junked out civic.... so, yeah. At other dealers (VW, Mercedes) I was typically put in a loaner for anything that might take longer than an oil change if I asked. Id expect the same from Volvo.But otherwise, the service experience is top notch, the showroom is nice and the space is clean. The service folks are great.
We are the proud owner of the coolest, brand new Volvo V5 Momentum! Natalie gets all the credit for going above and beyond the call of duty--the whole time never acting pushy. At the last minute, I asked if they could install a bike rack. She not only found the last one in the country, but gave us an advance by buying it with her own credit card, then helped with the installation! And how could we not take advantage of 0% financing? Im looking forward to many years driving this vehicle.

Came in for my 10k mile Volvo service. Nick Blank was my POC and was fantastic through the entire process. Keeping me updated before coming in and then while I was there, his customer service was fantastic. Made the whole thing very painless and even had some good faith updates done. This dealership offered a great experience and I feel confident coming back to them for service.

Best car buying experience Iv ever had! I have been car shopping for a couple weeks and was not able to find what I was looking for and found a lot of the dealerships pushy. I stopped into Beyer Volvo to look around and test drive. The service was so great, everyone was so talkative and friendly and they listened to what I wanted and was looking for. Great experience with Robert and the team for buying my xc40. I contacted a number of Volvo dealers in the DC/Baltimore area and Beyer was the only that that didnt try to play pricing games or sell me a car that had nothing to do with what I wanted. I was patient and waited to find a car that met my needs, pricing was straightforward and fair. I used the Costco car buying service so Im sure that helped. Even got a hitch and roof bars installed before I picked up the car so no extra trips back to the dealer.
I bought a CPO car at Beyer. The experience was of a no-pressure sale environment by the sales consultant which serviced me, Omar Pinto. I had a loan pre-approved by an external financing institution, and the dealership at my request needed to contact it in order to understand a new process that enabled not to run a second credit check. The finance managers took the time to cater to this request even though it was close to the closing hour, which I appreciate. Overall, a very good purchasing experience.
