Avoid this dealership, Took my nephew to look at a car he found online. Found the car looked at it and it was rough but went inside to find the sales staff. What I found was two very young guys dressed like they were headed to the beach tank tops and shorts. I tried to look past this and we still went out to look at the car with them. The car was from Ohio and they tried to sell on the fact that it would have less rust on it then because it was from Ohio ( Apparently they have no knowledge of the salt belt). The car we looked at didnt have a lot of visual rust thats only because they spay painted over the rust on it along with many other cars on the lot. Took the car for a test drive stepped on the gas and almost nothing happened likely a major transmission issue. Brought the car back and said no thank you and explained the problem. The two sales staff then ran out to the car and thrashed on the car in the parking lot. After they were done I was talking to my sister and nephew in the parking lot one salesman came up to me to argue that the car was fine and tried to tell me that the issues was only because the car was a 4 cylinder.Aside from an unprofessional sales staff I would describe most of the cars on their lot as car that were traded in to better dealerships for maybe 2 or 3 hundred dollars above scrap prices ($500 ) that are running and driving. Little is done to cars to prep them for resale ( aside from spray painting over rust ) they still want 2 - 3 thousand dollars for them.I fully expect them to tear apart my review and act professional but they were anything but the day I was at their dealership. They could not have been anything more but sleazy carsalesman that give the good ones a bad name. Lots of better places to spend your money in the Twin Cities do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership.Also if you look at the positive reviews you will find that they are made by people that either work at or affiliated with the dealership.

Worst experience ever! They sold a used car that was supposedly in good condition because it had been owned by a mechanic and had low miles (~100,000 for a Volvo). In addition, they indicated a lot of people were looking at it and it would go fast. Two days after leaving the lot, it was in the shop requiring $4,000 in repairs to be considered safe for the single mom and her two girls who depend on this vehicle for safe transportation and an income. They refused to discuss the issue further and said she agreed to purchase the car as is. As is is how they sell all of their cars. Do not make the same mistake!

This place got me into a very decent vehicle,(being the price was about $4,500) the car is amazing for what it is, they sold me a nice chevy pickup that I mainly use for work, but is also a great way for me to haul my fishing boat and other small trailers, all-in-all, a great vehicle for condition and price, just what I was looking for, Thanks to the owner Nik and his employees!

Would give it zero if I could! This business has no credibility and was an awful experience for my family. We had several people test drive and they called and asked for $1,000 more after we left. We gave them the money even though we shared on the phone that they had stated a different price like three times. We are disputing the additional charge with Amex as we don’t agree to it. This is a horrible place for anyone wanting to do fair, ethical business.

They lie throught their teeth about their vehicles then berate the customers review with pathetic disparaging comments.If you see a car on the internet from BIG MAN MOTORS run...I was helping a single mom of two young girls purchase a used car after her car caught on fire and blew up. She desperately needed a reliable car to pick up and drop off her girls and do her job. Phillip at BIG MAN MOTORS assured us that the used car she was buying had been owned by a mechanic and was driven by his wife with no mechanical issues that they were aware of.. It was a con job from the start. We were rushed into the purchase cause there were supposedly so many other people looking at this vehicle.Two days after the purchase, we took the vehicle in for an inspection and found out there was a bent tie rod making it a safety hazard to drive. Additionally, the head gasket set needs to be repaired and the stability sensor needs replacing. All of this totaling over $4,000. Called Phillip back and he told us we should have done a better job inspecting it. What a scam.... DO NOT RECOMMEND

We did not sell you a Lemon. I highly recommend looking up the definition of a Lemon on google incase you are not aware of the meaning of that word. Before you purchased the car we gave you all the information we were provided about the car and still knowing a mecanic previously ownedit we recommended you get a prepurchase inspection done on the car as a safety recommendation because we are not certified mechanics.Literally copy and paste responses and top tier denial from this dealer. This place is hot garbage. So the numerous bad reviews you receive are all by people that have no idea what theyre talking about? Youre just nice guys that wholeheartedly sell well inspected cars and everyone is else is crazy. Condescending much?

I would NOT recommend this business. wish i could give 0 stars. i have heard of a few more really bad experiences with this place, besides my own. they will sell you absolute junk and wont be transparent about it as long as it drives a short distance and looks fine on the outside. when we called to ask them why the car we bought broke down 3 days later and what could be done they offered no help or assistance. we found out from another repair place the entire gas tank was toast to begin with, before it eventually fell off completely. this is something that had most likely been a problem long before the vehicle was purchased. dishonest salesmanship & very bad customer service

I went to look at a car for my daughter let them know in advance what I was looking for as well as purchasing a second vehicle from them when I arrived the vehicle had been put away and the rude sales rep proceeded to talk me out of looking at it and to buy a higher priced car that I had no interest in also proceeded to talk over me just as he had when I called this morning to let them know we were coming and to have the two cars ready to test drive. That along with the fact that when I arrived neither of the two reps came out to talk to us and when the one rep was standing in the entryway arguing with me to look other cars that he felt would be better and I repeated what we were there to look at the rep at the desk just sat there on his phone not even trying to be of assistance and when I called to speak with the manager I got no assistance whatsoever ever no apology no offer to have us return and work with a more qualified representative. I would highly suggest going elsewhere apparently customer service means nothing to them and they must be doing well enough to not care to sell two vehicles today. Also filing a complaint with the BBB.

I bought a car and it wouldnt start out of the lot. I had a 2 hour drive home and they had to jump it just to get me going. Paid 7 grand for it... they said if it didnt start the next day to let them know. It didnt start and I called them. They venmoed me 100 dollars and said sorry. It costed more than 100 bucks to fix it and get it towed not to mention the hassle of doing it. When I did get it going it blew a tire on the first day of driving it. Never going back there again and I dont recommend anyone else does.

I have had the worst experience with Big Man Motors and Nikolai. If you are looking to buy a car for MORE than what was agreed upon verbally or sell them a car for LESS than what was agreed upon verbally, then they are your guys. They are shady and I will never do business with them again, and it is my goal to make sure everyone I know and come into contact with, knows that they are terrible. And if you scratch their back, dont expect anything back, thats for sure. They are SHADY. Do NOT do business with them.

Bought a car a few days ago, they said nothing major was wrong, and that my battery was just a bit dead and the check engine light was an 02 sensor, scanned it after I bought it because it wouldnt start and there is a whole lot of things wrong and now it will be an expensive fix. This was my first time buying a car, so shame on them for selling me this and lying about what was wrong.

Went to test drive a car for my 17 year old son. The first car did not work out, but the staff there went out of their way to find a car that worked for him. Just had the car checked out by my mechanic and he said it was in great shape. I appreciate their efforts to make us feel like it was.a safe and reliable car.

Got my bumper fixed here for a great price. Some old granny backed into my car at a parking lot. Big man was able to pop out the bumper just like new. Glad I found this local business to fix it.

Last fall I found Big Man Motors had the best price for the SUV I wanted to get. I have been driving it almost a year now and I am so happy, I have put a lot of miles on it and my whole family loves it. Big Man Motors has been the worst used dealership Ive ever been to. The big man offered no warm welcome. Told me and my kids to go find it in the back. I was looking at the 98 Ford Expedition XLT. Then proceeded to say the price tag and info is in the car. We walked back by ourselves only to find it boxed in between other cars. It was smelly and dirty. Needless to say they are a joke and I am happy I wasted my life today to WARN OTHERS. The pictures listed are nothing like the actual JUNK YARD.

The manager was rude and defensive when asked about the vehicle he was selling. I wont recommend this guy to anyone since their Selection sucks and their vehicles are over priced. Ive seen better vehicles at a junk yard than their car lot.

I was looking for a decent pre-owned vehicle. I had someone come with me to look at some that they had to offer. Found an 06 Sonata and the guys were great to work with. It has since become my daily driver and that was a year and a half ago.

I was excited to get a new vehicle. They do have a big selection of vehicles. They are polite & seemed helpful. I understand that I bought a car AS-IS I didnt expect to put money into the vehicle so soon. (Second week)I had to buy New battery. 100$The engine is leaking oil. I took car and got a diagnostic test. 45$. Theres alot more wrong than I was told. Im looking at about 500$ low end on under the hood repairs. Struts,tires,brakes another 600$🤷🏽‍♀️

A friend of mine had bought a car here, while paperwork was being completed another customer came in after a test drive, and claimed the vehicle would not go over 30 mph. The salesman stated it could be because of a bad battery and asked if they had replaced the battery if they would be willing to buy the car. A mechanic happened to be with me, and stated what they were doing was lying to the customer to gain a sale. The customers were young and seemed to be inexperienced about how the vehicle should work and nothing was stated to the salesman in front of the customer. They dont seem to be very reputable and we advise against purchasing a vehicle here.

My 18 year son bought a truck on 5/16/18 at about 4 pm. On 5/17/18 at about 4 pm the truck wouldnt start. I call and talked to Jerry. Long story short is they wont assist him in anyway. I told Jerry I plan to pursue this legally. His quote to me was go ahead. Even when you win the case you are only going to get $50 a month. I just want all you potential customers to know up front that this business has no intention of standing behind the junk they sell you. Once you drive away you are completely on your own. This truck wasnt driven 40 miles. 24 hours after purchase Jerry wouldnt even tell me who the owner of the dealership was. I promise you that every word of this review is 100% true.

Well, I was definitely super-surprised to see these 1-star reviews for this wonderful company. Then after examining them closely I realized that most of them were left by the insecure whiny people who didnt even buy anything from this dealership and thought they had some kind of special power. All I have to say is that I got my dream truck from Big Man! They had a GMC Sierra for sale that I had been in love with since my teen years. When we went to see a vehicle at this place we discovered nothing but overpriced junk. A few nice cars, but would never trust the workers to buy from them. Trying to sell broken vehicles for the price of good vehicles and won’t disclose to you what is wrong with them. The man was so rude that while negotiating the price he continued to interrupt and talk over us If we said something he didn’t agree with.

I bought a 04 Ford Expedition from this place. I have had it for a while now and it hasnt given me any issues, no check engine lights, tires were good, automatic four wheel drive works like it should, its just an all around solid truck. The running boards were rusty, but he gave me a discount because of it which I thought was fair. I looked around for a while, and I feel like I got a good deal here.

Upon arrival to the dealership, I was expecting to be hounded by salesmen. To my surprise it was a lot more easy going and laid back. I was greeted at the door and immediately taken care of. The customer service is top notch. Within 5 minutes of being there I was in a vehicle giving it a test drive. There were no persuasion antics or sketchy aspects during the whole process which was very nice considering this was my first major vehicle purchase. The salesmen were exemplary, and were able to get me a vehicle within an hour. The price for the vehicle was perfect for me (a college student), and I highly recommend for a young person looking for a used car that is top quality.

Don’t go here!!!! Test drove 3 vehicles and every single one of them had major issues. All I had to do was drive a short distance to experience a serious front end shake on one. A shudder on down shift on another, that was scary!!! I was concerned about each of them making it over 50 miles before stranding me. Dealers like this piss me off that sell stuff that is absolute garbage under the guise of “as is.” If you are really a glutton for punishment at least take a mechanic with you.

I came here a little over a year ago looking for a car and let them know of my terrible luck I’ve had with vehicles and how depressed I was about it. I know you’re not supposed to always listen to what salesmen tell you but I was really hoping this car would last me. Since I’ve gotten this car I’ve had nothing but problems. I was stupid and didn’t check all of the lights before I bought it, not thinking I’d have to and they’ve never correctly worked. The wiring is completely messed up. I would get them working right and then get pulled over for my brake lights being my tail lights and not having turn signals whatsoever. I didn’t even know dealerships could sell cars that don’t even have working lights but I guess that goes to show how much I know. It’s extremely frustrating especially since I paid so much for this vehicle and put every last dime I had in my name to pay for it and was really hoping I’d have good luck with it. Now, this morning I was supposed to have orientation at a new job and my car won’t start or turn over at all. Just great. But they wouldn’t care because they got their money and ran... this is not how you do business or keep customers.

Would never suggest this dealer. When I arrived all the cars still covered in snow from 2 days prior so was unable to view any price tags. Once we attempted to find the car we were looking to purchase we tried going inside to ask if it was sold to find the door was locked. Was turning around to leave when a man opened the door and asks can I help you. I explained I was looking to inquire about buying the car the man never invited me inside and simply said ya everything is online. After asking again if I could take a look as I was interested he responded with what you just want to look at it? At this point I simply just left as clearly he wasnt interested in making a sale and would never want to buy from a deal with such poor customer service.

I found them on craigslist. Saw a car I liked, came in and looked at a 2000 chevy blazer. Took it for a test drive. Liked it so much I decided to purchase the vehicle. Never buy a vehicle here! Best case scenario, you overpay. More likely you end up on the road in an unsafe vehicle. The unethical and irresponsible dealers let my 18 yr old drive off their lot in a pickup with a frame that is rusted through. By some miracle he managed to drive himself and his younger siblings a hundred miles home without an accident. After arguing over the phone they agreed to sell him a different pickup for just $500 more. The second pickup made it only 30 miles before overheating (bad water pump). $2500 and less than a week later my son has 2 pickups that need to be hauled with a trailer to the junkyard. He learned an expensive lesson on the character, or lack thereof, that some people possess. I just thank God that my children made it home alive in the deathtrap Big Man sold my son.

I just wanted to put in my 2 cents to respond to this lady that just left a bad review about these guys having overpriced junk and rude sales guys. I came in right after her and saw everything. She was there with her daughter and daughters significant other trying to purchase a Ford Ranger. She was given a $1,000 discount off the clearance price of the truck but she kept on imposing her opinion rather rudely about how it was still wasnt worth it. I purchased a Honda from Big Man Motors on that day, was treated super-courteously and got over $1,100 total off the original price of the vehicle! Love them! They work with their customers! I went there today to look at what this dealership had to offer. HORRIBLE service. The individual that was working was very rude to the customers that entered the building before me. The vehicles appear to be salvage. One of the cars that was running in the parking lot was leaking gasoline from somewhere close to the engine. The only individual I saw that was working was condescending and very rude. I would not recommend this play to anyone. STAY AWAY!

I had a friend recommend Big Man Motors to me so I decided to give them a call about a car they had. They answered every question I had and made the process extremely quick and very easy. The salesmen Nicolai showed he really cared that I get a car rather than him getting anything from it. It’s been a few months now and I’ve had no problems with the car and I couldn’t be more happier with what I paid for it.

Buyer beware. Looks to me like a lot full of auction and salvage cars. They post flattering pictures of the good side of the car and you get there and half the bumper is gone or other body damage.

As others have said, these guys are great to work with! Straightforward, not your typical smarmy used car salesmen-not painful at all. All the cars we looked at were well below Kelly Blue Book. We bought our daughters first car from them. Would highly recommend!! The negative reviews are likely unrealistic expectations for an inexpensive car -- its a used car people. Sold as is. For cash. If you want a warranty then youll pay ALOT more.

DONT BUY HERE. Please, whatever you do, don’t buy a vehicle from this place. They are scam artists. Bought a car for 7,000. Broke down the next day needs 8,000 in repairs. The man who sold it to me said it hadn’t been serviced in two years and was in excellent condition, showed me a fake car fax, then when I went back in to tell them it was broken he said it got a new transmission a month ago when it didn’t. He lied when I bought it, when I went back, they are both scam artists doing anything to make a buck. I’m out 7,000 because of these guys. Please don’t let this be you. Going to the better business bureau to do anything I can to get these guys shut down. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
