Until I visited the Folsom Grocery Outlet store on Oct. 1 with a friend, I wasnt aware that each store is individually owned or operated. That explains why my neighborhood Grocery Outlet store in Carmichael has a wine inventory much less varied than the Folsom Grocery Outlet. The selection of wines on display at the Folsom store may actually rival your typical BevMo store. Also on display at the Folsom Grocery Outlet store was a very nice selection of summer & garden inventory at 50% off. I was very happy and surprised to find weather resistant tea stained American flag bunting for only $3.00 a piece!

This is actually an amazing Grocery Outlet! Definitely the best one in the area. They have fancy cheeses and good meat, a lot of craft beers, household items, clothing. It is very clean as well! Definitely recommend.

I go here to supplement - not for primary grocery shopping. You can score some great deals on things like gluten free dairy free vegan cheese or organic snacks and soup (dairy free clam chowder?!). As an example, I found oat milk coffee drinks for $.47 each where youd expect to see them for $2.99 and never buy them. What?! Or fancy yogurt for $.67 instead of $3.49. I check all the expiration dates but otherwise this place is great to hunt out some fun snacks and things.

I really like this outlet only for the food prices....i think the owners talk to horrible things about their customers and that Manager Melissa Is fake and highly unfriendly its all a front. Shes NEGATIVE and will talk smack about customers/judgemental and highly unprofessional.. But but after this comment she just maybe more polite but I promise it will be fake. Besides their staff members are truly amazing and extremely helpful...CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT ABOUT PEOPLE PLEASING...ITS ABOUT BEING OF SERVICE genuinely being of service because people remember how you make them feel when they come into your establishment and its something that all facilities should understand when dealing with customer service. Besides that..food is fresh and place always looks good.

Always fun to see what I will find new...

I went shopping at the Folsom location last night and my bill came to over $300. It was my first time shopping in almost 3months. (other then just bread and milk) I usually shop at the Rocklin location as it is near my work that I havent been able to be at for a couple of months due to the virus. This location was very rude and I am not sure but I have been in customer service for for the last 45 years and I wouldnt be rude to a customer that spent over $300. I wouldnt be rude to someone spending $3. I asked a employee how much something was and he said he didnt know and started to walk away. I asked him if he could find out for me and he took the package from my hand and said it should be right on it. As if I didnt already look. The gal at the check stand was nice enough although she didnt tell me how much I saved. I always look forward to that. I then asked if I did need to return something would it still be honored after the no return policy because of the virus. She wasnt able to answer me and called another young lady up to help me. To which she said no returns on anything. That I am taking my chances on what I walk out of the store with. I purchased 2 garden hoses at $20.00 a piece. So I asked her if they get a hole in them or the lights that I bought dont work then I am just out of luck? To which she again said I am taking a chance on whatever I have bought. She then said that I am suppose to only be buying essentials so then there wouldnt be a problem. So there you go. It was all I could do to just get my money back right then. I know she doesnt make the policies on the returns at this time of crazyiness but who is she to decide what is essential for me. Like needing garden hoses to water my vegetable garden. So I can grow my own vegetables so as not to have to buy them. So in these times of unsureness about everything I would still have expected better and more appreciated customer service. I havent wanted to go out shopping as much as that young lady seemed to have not wanted me to have been at her store. And no one offered to see if I needed help out. Cart overflowing with bags that I even had to carry one and push the cart. So what prompted me to write this review as I wasnt going to do anything except remember to tell my Grocery Outlet people in Rocklin how much I appreciate their great customer service, was the fact that there was a item that I purchased that was a really good deal and was going to go back and get some more. But I thought I would see if they had any left so I called and the young man that answered the phone didnt hear what I asked about and was very rude in asking me to repeat myself to which the phone is dropped and I am not sure if I am on hold or what because I hear some talking. Then the guy comes back and says no maam we only have such and such and I repeated to him just to make sure and he said right. I said okay thank you and he hung up. No thank you for calling not even goodbye. I guess I was bothering him. Again the worst customer service to not even say goodbye. Not to mention rude. So now I think I will keep my business in Rocklin where I am appreciated.

Its always nice to come to this store, today for the first time I had to use their restroom and it was a good experience excellent job in keeping it clean.

Pretty good. Maybe not the selection of a Raleys but they do have better prices for what is there.They have meat, produce, and dairy and quite a large selection of wine. You should check them out and save some money.

Discount market. All food and produce is fresh. They have good bargains. Good customer service.

Store is always clean, has great selection of fresh, organic fruit and veg, and has surprisingly large vegan and organic food selection. As always Grocery Outlet is known for its wines, and they don’t disappoint.

This location is closest to where I live once youre in the store its a tidy establishment staff is really great I would give it five stars except there are some kind of scary people in the parking lot that make it a place I only shop during daytime hours.

Super good prices for those of us on a budget! You need to visit a few times a week to catch the great discounts/markdowns. Also great deals on wines, especially imports from Chile and Australia.

I bought 3 glass soap dispensers recently, and the check-out clerk did not provide any packing materials for fragile items even upon request. One of them broke even before I got to the parking lot. Be aware of bare minimum service and take your own packing material for fragiles. Theres not a whole lot of customer orientation over there.

They gave a good selection of home items, produce, frozen items, shelf-stable foods, alcoholic drinks, etc. They have affordable prices and the cashiers have always been very nice!

What a great store! We can find great brands, gourmet foods, produce and meat for a fraction of what we would pay at a regular grocery store. For example, today I got a 5 oz tub of shredded parmesan cheese for $2.99! Its typically at least $5.99 at a regular grocery store! And my husband got 2 new York steaks for $5.99! 😳 Grocery Outlet is our fav!

Excellent place to go shopping, as I always save at least 50% on my purchases. Selection varies based upon overflows. This is how they get their products and how they can sell them at a significantly reduced price. Shop here first, and if you dont find what you need, then hit up another grocer. I keep coming here every week!

I have shopped Grocery Outlet for years. I used to shop frequently at the Rancho Cordova (Zinfandel) store, but it has really gone downhill since new ownership arrived. The Folsom store is now where I do most of my bargain shopping. It is always well maintained and the employees are always friendly. I have met the manager and spoke with him several times and he is a very nice person. I always enjoy stopping by this location and am a very satisfied patron.

OK I admit it. I actually go here for entertainment. Finding good organic food at great prices is an adventure. Not talking Winco and Walmart here, but top quality brand name food. Inventory is always changing with new items which adds a surprise element. Friendly positive workers here - they seem to actually love their work. Love this place.

Ive shopped Grocery Outlet Stores from Manteca to Eureka and found them to be very similar, neat, clean and inexpensive. For quality, you get what you pay for, which for me is very acceptable. They sometimes have unexpected changes in products, so its like shopping a a food thrift store. You can find an unexpected, pleasant surprise, as well as miss out on that surprise on your next shopping trip. So dont delay if you find something new that you like. It may be a temporary, over-supply product.

I had my first not happy experience with the Folsom store and a new manager. Be careful to either bring your own bags or purchase them there. My bags were in the car, so I put things in my cart. My coffee was missing. When I went in to tell the manager (who was my checkout clerk) he said there is absolutely nothing he could do. It was on my receipt and I double checked my trunk with the other items and the inside of my car just in case. He walked out like he wanted to check my trunk but deferred to another customer. Awkward. I went back in to buy coffee as I needed it and his response was Are you sure you want to buy this? I live in Cameron Park and have gone to that store weekly. I was incredibly disappointed that he made no effort to help. I am guessing the guest behind me is set up with coffee for the week. I have been a manager in retail and I would have replaced the coffee, much like Wal-Mart, Safeway, and Raleys does. I hope the $10.00 was worth it to the manager. The owners of the store are much more knowledgeable so perhaps I will defer to them in the future. Who knows maybe this young manager will learn from these mistakes.
