I’ve always just bought paint from Menards or Home Depot until a neighbor of mine said your store had a superior product.So I figured why not give it a shot. I was welcomed into the store like I was the gosh dang king of England. Like I was the official ambassador of the wall painting kingdom and everything I’ve done up to this point has been praised by the townspeopleI wish I could tell you the name of the gent that helped me but I was so blown away by service I forgot his name. Worked 2/16 at about 5:00pm. This man was spitting painting facts like he dedicated his life to his craft. Sold me on the duration paint Snow bound in Matte finish.I came back today after like most division 3 football players I had dropped the bucket going into the house and spilling it everywhere.This man remember every detail of my order from the previous day and made sure I had that bucket of paint faster than I could explain the irony of spilling “Snow Bound” white into the snow of my driveway.Just wanted to let you know that you’ve got a Sherwin-Williams guy for life and I will make sure to give every paint dollar of the rest of my life goes to the Forest Lake location.Thanks!

I am actually really disappointed. I was in their store for nearly 30 minutes and not one single person greeted me when I walked in, nor did anyone ask if I had any questions. Apparently I didn’t look like I was going to spend money or something as they only helped the folks that were older than me. The nail in the coffin was when two employees greeted another older gal that came in. I was planning on using them to help me design and paint my entire house over the course of this year. I probably would’ve spent a rather large amount of money. Now I am taking my business elsewhere. Their lack of communication with me makes me feel that they will not make a good partnership. Too bad, I had heard great things about them.

I have no reason to buy any paint product from the large department stores, when there is such a fine local store with knowledgeable staff in our town.

Great paint! Friendly people. Can have rushes at certain times that might slow things down sometimes.

I ordered online and it was quick and easy. Emails told me that my order was received, was being processed, and when it was ready. I picked up my order the next day, and the paint quality was great. I will definitely use Sherwin-Williams for my next paint project!

This was my first experience at a paint specialty store. We received great customer service and everything we needed to paint a few rooms in our new home. The Emerald paint is outstanding!

A lady (I wish I knew her name) I just called today at noon on 5/23/2020 was so rude when I called to place an order for pick up. I’m not too familiar with paint and she did not help explain to me the differences and she was so rude about it. When she gave me options I didn’t know the difference and I had asked her to repeat it one more time and she replied with “I just told you”. I told her to wait a second so I can speak with my husband to decide and she just hung up on me. So rude! I will not order from this place again! I can’t stand bad customer service!!!!

If they need paint or stains, SW has the best quality. The staff at SW can not only help you select the right product for your project, but they can also advise you on how to use it... all with a smile and a friendly attitude. True customer service!

The staff member that helped us was incredible. She had great insights about the kind of paint we should use for each room and walked us through the whole process. I felt very welcome and will definitely go to SW for my future paint needs. Also, the painting is done now -- and looks AMAZING. :)

I will only buy paint from them. We used to use cheap paint. Found that you get what you pay for with paint. Good paint goes on nicer and the final product looks better.

I spent a lot more to get Sherman Williams paint so I only had to put on one coat. I’m touching up my third coat to cover yellow with gray. This is with there “covers in one coat” paint. Should have gone to Menards and spent half the money.

My Forest lake Sherwin-Williams store has the best customer service ever. They have always gone above and beyond my expectations to answer my questions and help me solve problems. I wont buy paint anywhere else.

Knowledgeable staff who are interested in helping customers find the best options. Paint quality is reflected in the ease of application but also how well it wears. They have great sale prices periodically as well.

I bought two cans of paint and one can of primer. Two of the three cans where dented and had paint on the top as though the cans had been opened at sometime. The sales person did not open the cans when I was in the store, but did shack them for me and put them in a box for transport. I did not realize the cans were damaged until I got home. The paint and primer seemed to be fine, but I would have expected undamaged cans for the price that I paid. I will need to inspect my paint next time before leaving the store. My complaint with the dented cans is that the covers never seem to fit right after the can is dented. I expected better quality from a store like Sherwin-Williams.

The people working here are very friendly and professional. They explained everything that was needed and pointed out where to find info if we need to shop again!

The Sherwin-Williams in Forest Lake has an excellent variety of colors, quality paints of various levels to choose from. The staff are excellent in matching paint colors that you bring them and they are as close to identical i could not tell the difference of my sample color and the color they matched. This saves alot of time and money for me on the job site. The staff is very helpfull and most of them know there stuff. I will not go any place else for my paint and supplies.

Perhaps Im being a little harsh, but its frustrating when the staff are unable to answer basic questions. I frequent the FL store often and there was a new person working who was unable to answer questions and had little to no knowledge about products. She deferred questions to the other worker who then became frustrated, as there were several people waiting to be helped. The worker was very nice and tried to be helpful, but simply wasnt trained on the products.

I have went into this Sherwin Williams several times in the last two weeks. Only once was I greeted by a kind employee, every other time the employees did not say a word to me (only customer in the store) or when I finally did ask for help, they were short with me and did not even give any helpful advice.

Recently purchased a house and are looking to put our own touch on it. Walked in to an empty store with two employees standing at their check-out area.We were in the store for about 20 minutes checking out different paint samples. During that time we were not offered any assistance much less even greeted. We did however get to listen to them complain to each other how everyone working at the store is just sooo stressed out.After we selected a couple paint samples we waited an additional minute in which the two women were more content running to the back room and chatting on the phone with (Im assuming) another customer. Since apparently we dont exist I guess our business doesnt either.

Paint is pricy although good. If you can catch a 30% off sale it makes it more reasonably priced.

As a contractor, Ive been to many SW stores in the past. The staff at this one happen to be a notch above. Theyre super friendly, extremely approachable, and best of all, their product knowledge is a step above all the rest.
