Great place to go. Great price compared. Excellent quality of work and tell you step by step
Honest, fair, and supportive! I have full confidence in their assessment and service. I highly recommend this place!!
Edit: Owner called to give me refund for service. Wow!! That never happens. When he found out the repairs were potentially under warranty, he called to remedy the stiuation. I was shocked! Like I said, stuff like this doesnt usually happen. :)Here is the original review: I went to this place because I needed my check engine light cleared in order to pass my emissions test and the dealership had a 2-week wait for appointments. This place had a lot of good reviews, so I thought it would be a good place to take the car in. I was quoted $420 to replace the cooling fan in the Jetta. When I showed up to pay, I was charged $600 because he forgot to quote me additional $120 to clear the check engine diagnostics. However, he didnt even clear the lights because he said it was something to do with warranties. I still had to make the 2-week appointment with the dealer to get the check engine light cleared! When I finally had the appointment with the dealer, they said the fan could have still been under warranty because it was part of the cooling system. The whole reason I went to this guy was to save time, so I could pass my emissions test. Not only did he not save me anytime, he also cost me $600. I felt like this guy was somewhat dishonest from the beginning and did not give me all the details up front. It seems like my case is rare though, as he has a lot of good reviews. I just did not have a good experience here.
I brought my 2003 BMW here after a bad experience with a different shop. Not only did A&B find the REAL problems with the vehicle, but Mark was also very transparent and honest about the work that needed to be done.Theyve definitely earned two happy and recurring customers, and I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic.
I am not from the Fort Collins area so when I was looking for a local shop to do a pre purchase inspection a vehicle I was looking at, this place came highly recommended... it did NOT disappoint. Mark was understanding of my time restrictions and was as honest as can be when it came to the details of the report on the car. He saved me from purchasing what seemed like a lemon of a vehicle and I cannot thank them enough. Overall, very professional, accommodating, kind, and timely service.
Tl;dr A&B is now my local mechanicLanded here on a referral. New to the area and finding a mechanic is stressful. Spoke to Mark on the phone (several times, admittedly) before bringing my vehicle in. Im picky as my brother owns a repair shop, too.Tip: Schedule appointment a few days in advance because theyre busy.Mark was very transparent on the phone about pricing and the potential repair(s), which put me at ease. Felt the same as my brothers shop telling me what to expect.I had a check engine light that popped on after starting the engine on a cold morning. A&B had the car for about 3/4 of a day when they called to let me know what the issue was. Mark gave me the total repair cost over the phone, and again, transparent about the pricing. When I picked up my car, I received a checklist of an inspection with notes. I appreciate this because it tells me theyre making sure the rest of my car is fit to drive, too; Im less likely to be unpleasantly surprised by whatever needs fixing next. The inspection looked thorough and gave me some guidance on what Ill need to address soon as far as the next maintenance.Anyway, Ill be making A&B the go-to for my mechanic.
Awesome!!! Mark and Ben are so helpful and are always so nice. My car got stolen and I had to get a few new parts once I got back and they were so helpful ordering them and keeping me updated on the whole process!! Super fair pricing and amazing work!! If I could give them 10 stars I absolutely would!
I’ve had nothing but good experiences with these guys. Took my 90’s Mercedes in to be repaired after misfiring. They not only fixed the issue at hand but also found my vacuum leak that the dealership couldn’t, fixed it and just charged me the labor costs!
Best import auto experts in town. Very busy not best for quick tuneups. Good customer service. Great atmosphere.
Excellent experience with A&B. They take great care of my Audi S4.. review all service schedules, answer all my questions and called me after the car is done to review all items performed.. I am very satisfied with A&B.
I was referred to A & B Import by a co-worker and am so glad I went here! The gentlemen were very helpful, informative and explained things in a way that made sense to me. They did an excellent job communicating with me and making sure I knew all options before doing any work on my vehicle. They also provided me with a free loaner car for the week. They even took my vehicle back for a follow up emissions test and saved me that hassle. If you are looking genuine, honest and professional service on your car, A & B is the place to go!
Mark and his team have been taking care of my Audi A3 for 5 years. They have done an excellent job, both with the routine maintenance and the occasional repairs. The service is quick and the prices are reasonable. I am not a car guy so I appreciate the fact that they take the time to explain what they are doing to my car and to discuss service/repair options with me. I definitely recommend them for any Audi servicing in Fort Collins!
My car wouldnt start yesterday and not being from around here I did not know where to take my car so I Googled Audi repairs in Fort Collins and there were several choices. After speaking with Michelle at A&B Import Auto, I felt completely at easy and knew this was the shop for me. Mark and his team of mechanics not only diagnosed and fixed my starter issue in a timely manner they also checked my car over to verify no other repairs were looming. As much as I travel it was great to have a repair shop take the time to show me and inform me of upcoming repairs my car is going to need and not just take advantage of a lady and her pocketbook.
I moved to Fort Collins two years ago, and wasnt able to find a shop that I trusted at first. I read the reviews about A & B and decided to give them a shot, and Im extremely happy that I did. Theyve done work on all my vehicles at this point, and I know that whether its me or my wife rolling in, they will put forth the effort to make sure that we understand the issue, and not feel like were being pressured into anything. I cant recommend this shop enough, whether its the friendly and patient staff, or the quality work that they do. I hope others read this and check them out!
Took my Tacoma in for a faulty air/fuel sensor. Problem was diagnosed and sensor was swapped in a day. Staff was friendly and took the time to explain the problem and solution in detail.
If you need repairs done on your older year model import car for a reasonable rate, you better check out A & B Import Auto! Mark, the owner, is a great guy, willing to listen to what the customer has to say and then gives solid, well informed advice accordingly. Thumbs up, if I ever need repairs on my 99 Passat again, I will not hesitate to go back here. Then again, they did such a good job last time, it might be a while until my next visit! I highly recommend this shop.
These guys are great and have really fair prices. I told them that I was on a budget and they went out of their way to fix several additional problems that I had with my car free of charge! They treated me the way and auto shop should treat its customers.
They were so nice, didnt overcharge me, and loaned me a car while mine was in the shop! Ive been recommended to them by two separate people.
Overpriced for nothing. For engine replacement I got a quote of 15 K, when other garages quoted me 4 K including labor. Furthermore I was charged for 30 minutes (64$) without even diagnosing the problem in my engine.
Ive taken my 2010 BMW to them a few times now. Theyre knowledgable, helpful, and very fair with pricing. They do good work. I highly recommend.
My Fiance took our car in to get the window fixed and Mark seemed very respectful and genuine and didnt talk down to us even though were young adults, like other mechanics have. Or try to push other repairs onto us. He helped us out with a look over with other problems we were having too even when he didnt have to.
A&B Import Auto are the most reliable and honest mechanics that I have been to in Fort Collins (and Ive been to plenty over the years). I have an older Audi, and they fix it when it needs it, give me good advice, and have decent prices. I had another mechanic shop try to overcharge me for simple services and tell me that I need to replace parts; when I took it to A&B Import, they explained AND SHOWED me what was wrong, fixed it, and then told me that I didnt need to replace parts for a while unless I planned on doing a lot of everyday commuting. Ive had to have several repairs to my car over the last few years, and A&B is always my go-to now. They always do a great quality job, charge fair prices, and even complete the repairs in a timely manner. And again, the thing I like most about A&B Import Auto, is that they are honest! They could have lied to me to get me to spend more money, yet they have never done so.
These people are total rip off artists a real sad bunch of wanna be mechanics I would not take a bicycle to them just a warning I would rate them a BIG FAT ZERO instead of the one star if it was possible I purchased a vehicle from someone and they had them put in a used engine but they replaced the head gaskets andreplaced the timing components before I purchased it from them it had a six month warranty well It lasted six months but the head gaskets failed all other shops I contacted have a 12,000 mile 1 year warranty for this service . When my mechanic took the engine apart to replace head gaskets he found the so called used engine was inferior way below manufactures specs with a hair line crack in the number four cylinder wall the heat tabs they installed were intact so there was never an over heating problem they USED A JUNK SHORT BLOCK and charged 3361.00 for this service you can have a bran new engine installed for 4000.00 with a 36,000 mile 3 yr. Warranty at most any shop except the dealer please beware of this place you dont get what you pay for form them
We were referred to A&B from another mechanic when our daughters 1995 VW Cabrio was having issues with either the clutch or transmission. We asked Mark and his team to figure out which and give us a repair estimate. We also asked for a check of the car and honest opinion of the status of the it overall because our budget is very tight. Turns out it needed a transmission which was going to cost what we figured and was more than we had paid for the car 3 yrs ago. Mark even looked into used transmissions but they were only $200 less. He never tried to push us into fixing it and they gave us a really clear report of a few other less critical issues. I was impressed because A&B knew that with the issues the car had, we probably would sell the car and not be repeat customers but they did a thorough job anyway.I liked how they treated us so well, that a day or so later when we found another car (Honda) that I wanted to have him look at before we signed the paperwork, he went above and beyond to get it in for a look. Again, A&B presented us with an honest opinion and detailed facts to work with so we bought the car! I feel confident that my daughter is safe in this vehicle and that we got a good car for the money.Guess what shop our multiple import cars will now be going to for work?! Thats right...A&B Import Auto, Inc.! Thank you!
Great Folks. The job took a bit longer than anticipated but Mark honored his quote and provided a loaner car while they were working on it.
Ben and Mark are great guys and know what they are doing.
I had A & B replace a rear differential bushing on my Cadillac, originally they quoted me $600 because they thought they may have to take the differential out, but they found a tool to do it for nearly half the cost which was a pleasant surprise when I picked up the vehicle. Friendly and honest company!
Never had any issues.
Great service. Recommend.
A&B Import Auto has serviced my vehicles for many years. They have always been very straightforward and given me honest repair solutions.Their pricing is fair and the service is reliable. They have my highest recommendation.
Although I sold my Audi, Mark was my go-to-guy for all maintenance. They do a great job and are reasonable.
I have been taking my vehicles to A&B for more than 20 years and they have always been honest, helpful and ready to give advice on any automotive problems I have had. Just a great place to go.
Mark and his staff are all really honest and friendly. They are always willing to answer any questions. I have been nothing but impressed by the work they have done on my car.
Its always important to find Your Shop.I moved from Reno, NV about two years ago, where Id developed a pretty good relationship with my beemer mechanics and plied them often with beer and donuts. Because, lets face it...you sign up to sell your newborn/a kidney when you buy a German vehicle, so you might as well get a good mechanic to help you through this financially crippling time. The one shop foreign shop up in Laramie, Wy soon proved unsatisfactory due to their lack of attention to detail (e.g., leaving shop tools in my car, including, but not limited to, a battery charger) and wait time (2-3wks for repairs), and so I grudgingly came to the conclusion that Ft. Collins would have to be the place for me.A&B does good work, and I think they do it for a good price. Mark is open to communicating with you whats up with your rig, but he also leaves it up to you as to what repairs get done: nothing is snuck in without your knowledge. As of now, (fingers crossed), since having repairs done on my car by them, Ive had nothing break after a year warranty. I trust them with my German Driving Machine of Hate. Moreover, their car rental option is a nice one, and cheap: you can grab a car from them for $9 a day (not including gas). I think thats pretty fair.My only tiny grievances are pretty lame: sometimes, my oil gauge isnt reset after oil changes (and yes, it is an easy fix I can do), and after a radiator replacement, Ive had an issue with the radiator level indicator light going off often, even though the radiator has tons o fluid.Recommended mechanics.
Mark and his crew take very good care of our cars!
A & B has taken care of my 02 Trooper for the last nine years. The service has always been excellent and they are nice folks to work with.
Good service good value. Very professional.
Bad experience. They performed an inspection and quoted 1150 dollars to replace the entire steering rack, when all it really needed was the boots replaced.
Excellent. See Mark
Excellent service and prompt turnaround times
Top notch repair shop in Fort Collins!
Honest, Thorough & Knowledgeable.
