I usually never write a review for anyone, but thought this was needed.I was taking my classic car out for a drive when it started smoking. Thank goodness I was close to this automotive shop and the owner saw me and came out. Not very many people can work on cars like this but the owner Joe lifted up the engine and told me he doesn’t think it is anything more than a busted hose. Even though his parking lot and shop is full of cars he took the time out of his day to fix mine.He called me to come and pick it back up a few hours later which I was so surprised that I wasn’t able to get it until the next day. And when I went to pick it up he only charged me $58 when any other shop would’ve probably charged me five times the amount.This is the way businesses should be run. I will refer him to every single person that I know.Joe the owner is a class act guy.Thank you for your honesty you don’t see that very often these days.

I went into Rocky Mountain Auto on a friends suggestion and boy was I glad I did. I needed the transmission flushed in my Honda Civic and not only did Rocky Mountain Auto charge me less compared to other quotes I received from other auto shops in Fort Collins, Joe took the time to make sure my car even needed a flush (it did) and then explained how the flush worked for my car. I also mentioned that after my most recent oil change, it was recommended that I flush the power steering as well. Once the transmission was done, Joe showed me under the hood - both where the power steering fluid and transmission fluid containers were located. He let me know that the power steering was good to go - no flush needed. I would go back in a heartbeat - honest, fair and overall a great auto shop in Fort Collins.

I took my pick up to these guys with an emergency brake fix late in the afternoon and they stopped everything and took care of me!! They got the parts right away and knocked it out of the park! The guys in the shop are really nice and are the best in town! They are super professional and treat you great! I will be recommending them to anyone that has vehicle issues and will be using these guys from now on for all my preventative maintenance needs!

The workers at rocky mountain auto are in my opinion the best shop in town. Their prices are below the others which can often times be overly generous to the pocket book without cutting corners and skimping on work. They do not try and push and shove things onto you but simply tell you the down and dirty and what could happen. I have been taking my vehicles here for 10 years and through it all no bad experience has come from it. The staff as well have always been nice and answered any and all related questions I have had.

Dropped my truck off a day early for some clutch work. When I came to pick it up the windshield had a giant crack in it, the rear view mirror was completely broken, and my truck had a new exhaust leak. The windshield had cracks coming from the rear view mirror which had been shattered. The work involved removing the shifter directly under the mirror, but they denied it was their fault and he called his mechanic over who said it was like that when he pulled it in. It definitely was not already broken when i dropped it off. Unfortunately, my truck is old and the locks dont work so they tried to say a homeless person could have slept in my truck, kicked in my windshield, but didnt take my aftermarket stereo. Unlikely. More likely that their rude, unfriendly workers, broke it and never said anything. I will never take another vehicle to this shop, not even if his shoddy work breaks and falls under warranty. That bad.UPDATE: The windshield and rear-view mirror were broken from the inside. Nothing else inside was damaged or stolen. I cant think of any other realistic scenario that would cause this to break in such a way. Especially when there was work being done directly below it. When I took my girlfriends car in for free oil change I asked if they could check out the brake job I had just done on it cause it was making some noise. After the oil change when I asked about the brakes I got the response, Look brand new. Obviously! I was done being treated like a nuisance and that would be the last time I went. There are a lot of good reviews here too and this is just my experience. My advice to future customers is to never leave your car on their property and meticulously photograph all parts of your vehicle before and after the appointment. Otherwise, they may claim, DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR WAS OUT OF OUR CONTROL.

Went and had my clutch replaced on my subaru and it was done in two days when they said 3-4. Went back because of an issue I noticed and they fixed it under warranty. Would definitely recommend going there.

I started coming here when I moved up to Fort Collins ten years ago. I have been a loyal customer since. When I got married I convinced my hubby to start bringing his Volvo there because I spoke so highly of Rocky Mountain Auto. Over this past summer we brought the Volvo in for an oil change and basic maintenance. A few hours later I get a phone call that one of the employees backed into my Volvo. The whole hood was crunched and it completely totaled my car. It was a 2001 volvo that was incredible condition and they completely totaled it. We spent three months fighting with Waynes auto insurance to get enough money to replace the car. I was forced to buy a new car when mine was in perfect condition. Wayne the owner never once apologized, he left me two very rude messages about the age of my car and its not worth what I wanted for it. He was very unprofessional and handled the situation horribly. I have given Wayne ten years of business and I will tell everyone I know, about what happened to my car. I strongly encourage you not to take your car here.

I think I will never take my car anywhere else. These guys went above and beyond in so many ways... working late and last minute to get me on the road when I was in a pinch. Its so hard to find honesty and integrity in an auto mechanic but I did! So grateful. Loyal forever.

This shop is awesome! They do great work and they do it fast. Been going here for about 5 years now, and they always take care of my issues on the first go. Further, lots of times they come in under estimate. Frequently after taking the car in because we heard a noise or its doing this weird thing they check it out, fix whatever minor thing was the problem, and let us drive away, no charge. Super helpful shop, interested in keeping your car running and you happy, not in racking up extra charges on your bill.

My husband took his car here cause we saw the great reviews and wanted to see what was causing his car to overheat. We Called around 3 the next day after we dropped it off the day before to see what was wrong and if they got time to look at it. They said they would drive it to see if it would overheat. About a hour later they called and said it was the thermostat and it would be a total of 350 sum to fix it. We said no thank you and took it to another guy in Loveland. Come to find out it was never the thermostat it was something else and the guy told us to fix it would be half the price of what Rocky Mountain told us for something that never needed to be fixed. So we know now to never take our car here again.

This is the only place in town that I trust. There are so many auto repair businesses that make you feel like they are trying to scam you, especially if you are a woman.
