Good quality used trucks & SUVs with great pricing
I needed an affordable vehicle as my previous car was in an accident and was totaled. I took a day off work to look at cars found 2 from them online and proceeded to go shopping first two dealers were not worth a mention made my way up to horse power both cars looked like they did online. I purchased a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara we negotiated a price I was happy with.
Ben was quick to respond to my questions, provided the carfax and had the paperwork ready to go in record time.Ben was willing to spend the time to trouble shoot the back windshield wiper issue and make sure it was in working order before we left. Thanks for a great buying experience!
Saw a listing for a car at this dealer and went to go check it out. The car itself didn’t match the description or the pictures. The windshield was cracked (not pictured) and the car obviously hadn’t been taken care of.I gave this 3 stars because Ben, one of the salesmen was helpful and came off of his lunch to help
Thank you Horse Power Auto for such a positive experience. From your prompt customer service to your honest disclosure about the condition of the vehicle I purchased I was completely satisfied. I would recommend you highly.
Purchased a Jeep Wrangler from Ben. Awesome experience. Super friendly guy, no pressure. He was patient with me while I struggled through my first auto loan and was a big help. Let me drive it around by myself multiple times, sleep on it, and take it to mechanic. Gave me a good price too! I would definitely recommend Horsepower to anyone!
We purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. from this dealer.Beautiful vehicle, sounded great, ran great, everything worked. Until, a few days later the check engine light comes on. Someone put the wrong oil in the engine, which could have caused it to seize. We caught it in time, plus found out the brakes needed replaced. Now, we have just put $2000 MORE into this vehicle. A few days later, the airbag light starts coming on intermittently, and it affects the climate control. Back into the mechanic. This time it is the fuse block in the cabin that needs to be replaced and that will be $1500. So, we go back to Ben with the Jeep AND another vehicle to see if he will work something out. He wouldnt deal with us, he wouldnt even talk to us and told us there was nothing on his lot that he could get us into. After doing research, Carfax, etc., we discovered that Ben knew exactly what he was selling us and would not stand behind his product. We do not recommend this business to anyone.
Bought a vehicle from Ben. Had an issue on the drive taking it home. Ben made good on it and made sure I was satisfied. Solid guy, genuine and did me right. Will I go back again for future business? Absolutely.
I needed a trust-worthy person to help me sell my dads truck. Ben clearly explained his process and provided a very accurate estimate of what he believed the truck was worth. He was extremely easy to work with and helped me navigate through the process. The entire transaction was completely stress free. Well go back to Ben when we need to purchase a truck for our daughter.
Ben, has great deals and is an honest guy
Drove 8 hours to get a jeep from them and I got there and the jeep didnt match the pictures total waste of time and money would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy would give negative stars if possible
Great to work with and Ben is an honest and top notch guy. Friendly and no pressure sales and service. Stands behind his deals! I would definitely recommend Horsepower Auto to anyone looking for a great used car.
Honest and easy to work with to find what you want. Did not feel any pressure to buy anything I didnt like. Ben was interested in finding me exactly what I wanted and no less. I have bought to vehicles from him and would not hesitate to by a third.
I bought my truck here a few years ago. It was the only place that had exactly what I was looking for. They allowed me to take the truck for a spin (unaccompanied, which was pretty nice) and then sleep on my decision for a night before purchasing. The only bummer was that the price was higher than MSRP, and they were selling it on consignment and therefore didnt have any negotiating power on the price. I decided to buy it anyway since my other car was dying fast.Horsepower provided me with a list of work that had been done recently, which was nice to have some kind of service record on a used truck. Unfortunately, I later discovered spattered paint lines in the engine bay and realized the truck had been in a wreck and was restored, even though Horsepower did not disclose that to me. I brought it to my mechanic and luckily there wasnt any frame damage, but Horsepower failed to disclose this information and that irked me a bit.In the end my truck is still working fine, with basic maintenance still needing to be done on it. Ultimately I feel lucky since a handful of other reviews had a similar situation with buying a wrecked and restored truck, and not knowing about it until something critical failed. I would proceed with caution when dealing with Horsepower and do your due diligence to inspect the vehicle and try and get a Carfax report before buying.
My name is Kurt Burleson and I bought a 2006 Jeep Wrangler on Saturday, 06 July 2019. After arriving home and turning off the engine we could not start it again. It seemed like a dead battery issue. Ben volunteered to bring a new battery to my home in another city and install it after he closed. After closing shop, Ben arrived promptly and replaced my battery. Jeep started numerous time in a row and was taken for a drive. Upon returning home, Jeep would not start again. Called after hours and message provided Bens cell phone. I left a message on Bens cell. At 7:30 pm he returned my call and we discussed the continuing issue. He stated that he wanted to make the situation right and that on Monday I could contact him to resolve the issue. I used my towing benefit to have it taken to his shop on Monday morning . After testing of the alternator, another battery was installed and along with extensive testing of driving and stopping and starting I was able to pick up my vehicle. As of 5:30 pm today it is home in my garage. Before writing this I tested again with no problems. Ben left the vehicle with a full tank of gas which it did not have when I dropped it off. He also told me to contact him if I had any issues with emissions testing. I am adding to my review to update Bens excellent service for my emissions testing. On Tuesday, 09 July, my wife took the Jeep in for testing. The Loveland Testing Site would not test due to short exhaust pipe. Texted Ben and he contacted my wife within minutes. Ben made arrangements to pick up my Jeep at 0800 today from my house and take it to get it tested. Ben picked up the vehicle at my house, had a temporary exhaust pipe, and purchased a new gas cap. Jeep passed emissions and was returned to our house with paperwork. Ben spent 2 1/2 hours for this service to us. Thank you Ben for doing everything you promised and your excellent service. I hope this helps describe the service you strive to provide.
Have dealt with twice now. Both experiences have been great. Fair prices, great selection, does a great job detailing as well.
I would not give any stars if it would allow me too but anyhow I do not live in Fort Collins but my son was moving and needed a vehicle. I looked at the reviews and because it had good reviews I decided to find a vehicle at horsepower auto. My son found a truck that looked good and My son called the shop to find out more about it. Ben said it was in good condition and said there was little wrong with it. We sent a friend over to test drive it and it seem to run good. We decided to buy the truck because we were on a time crunch and Ben assure us it was a good truck. We paid with a cashier check and took it straight to the shop. Long story short the truck was not worth what we paid and so much rust the mechanic felt sorry for us and didnt even charge us. He said take the truck back right away. Well being that I am from out of town I had to do this all over the phone. I called Ben and told him the truck was no good and I wanted my money back. Needless to say he said he couldnt do that but was willing to trade for a different truck. I had no choice other than say Ok but I want a mechanic to check it out before I buy it and would have to pay 2000 more for it. Again Ben said it was a decent truck but I didnt trust him. So I had a mechanic check it out and apparently it had been in a wreck and had a different bed on it, and there was a bunch of other stuff wrong with it. I called Ben and told him again I just want my money Back and he said No. He sold me the first truck for 11,500. So I asked him how much would he buy the truck for and he said he would get back to me. Well he did and he said he would buy it back for 9500. Now remember I just bought this truck a couple days before and have not even driven it. I was forced to take this deal and I let Ben know that I never even signed any papers and I felt he took advantage of the whole situation. I still have the unsigned papers. I feel like he stole 2000. Dollars from me and is very dishonest. I do not know how people sleep knowing that they took money from young people just starting out. I give this business 0 stars. They need to do they right thing and return the money they stoled.Page 1 of 1
Great service kind people reasonably priced thanks a ton
I have bought 2 trucks here they are fair and reasonable with there prices I will do business again!
I bought a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee this last January from Horsepower. They gave me a voucher upon purchase for a free emissions test within the first 3 days after I bought the car, but I was not able to take it to the testing center within those days, and with life being so busy, I didnt get it in to get tested until this last Friday, almost 2 months later, but still before my temporary tags expired. It failed at the testing center from having high NOx. I took it to my trusted mechanic, Fort Collins Muffler, and they confirmed the catalytic converter was bad, and there was an O2 sensor disconnected, and attached under the car with a zip-tie. They also discovered the check-engine light bulb had been disconnected completely. Whether Horsepower did this or knew about it is an assumption I cant make. The state of Colorado requires that if a vehicle fails emissions from a dealership, the dealership is responsible for repairing/paying for repairs on the car, free of charge to the customer. I called Horsepower again today, explaining the failed test and what the mechanic said, and they were incredibly uncooperative. They told me they are not responsible for any failed tests after 3 days of purchase. They didnt mention this to me when I bought the car, not to mention Colorados law doesnt have a 3 day time limit. I have never been more disappointed with any other service Ive ever been provided with and I feel very taken advantage of.
Ben was great to work with and I was able to get just the truck I was looking for at a very reasonable price.
Very over priced. Vehicles are not worth having at half the price! They show no integrity and do not stand behind their word or what they sell.
Great experience with the owner. Very knowledgeable.
Great selection, no pressure, small town feel
Great service with good value
