Bought a new TV last Christmas. A Sony 85”with an extended warranty. You know, they tell you they can do so much more than a factory warranty. Well, two months in service it crapped out. Best Buy says they can have someone look at it in 22 days. If I didn’t like it, call Sony. I called Sony. In those 22 days Sony looked at it, replaced parts, and when it didn’t work they told me to contact Best Buy for a replacement. Best Buy says “read the fine print” they won’t replace it until it’s more than 30 days AFTER they tried to fix it. In the 22 days they looked at it, says they were gonna order the same parts Sony replaced and THEN they’d talk about a replacement if they couldn’t fix it. Another call to Sony and Sony replaced the TV.A 5 week ordeal. Best Buy STILL wanted to come and replace the parts after Sony replaced the TV! I then asked Best Buy for a refund on the warranty or transfer it to the new TV. They said no. Read the fine print. Even though Best Buy did nothing but aggravate me they said the warranty was fulfilled.I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INTO THAT PLACE AGAIN. NOW I KNOW WHY THEYRE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS In many cities.
