Not impressed. Wont be back. Very little customer service. Seems to be the way society is going. Not the fastest either. Brought 2 bikes in for a tune up on Wednesday around 1pm. Was told they both would be done Friday. I went in on Friday around 5pm. 1 was done, 1 was not. Picked them up Sat after they opened. 3 days for a tune up.

I love the new store! Below is why:1. The store has a decent stock selection, better than most I would say.2. The staff rides and supports regular group rides.3. Staff are great listeners, and do not just sell to likely big spenders. Yesterday I saw Curt take a while with a young boy who was uncertain what bike to get. Those sales will multiply over time.4. When I have had maintenance issues they are done promptly, for a reasonable price with nothing left undone.5. There are even female staff who can better relate to female riders, such as my wife. And some of them ride a lot also.

Not nice or helpful guys at all. I will gladly take my business somewhere else. I had real intentions on purchasing a bicycle to better myself and they just said I need to go to the website and purchase a bicycle but the website says go to store. So I was very disappointed in the customer service and not having my questions answered.

The service staff is friendly and very helpful. They will answer questions you have and take the time to explain your bike maintenance to you. With this being one of the bigger bike stores in town, turnaround times for repairs can be lengthy during peak seasons. Not Treks fault, but its one of the downfalls of being the big fish in a small pond of bike shops in Fort Wayne.

I needed help reassembling parts of my Electra Loft 7D that I misaligned while assembling my bike from an online vendor. The team at Summit was so kind and fixed it for me on the spot for $20 flat since the repair was minimal. Ive purchased 4 bikes over the years with Summit. My progression started with a 2006 Hardrock then a 2009 Rockhopper and now a 2020 Stumpjumper. I have about 400 miles on the Stumpy and just picked it up from its 1st tune up, the mechanics did an excellent job bleeding the rear brakes. They felt a bit spongy from the initial purchase but not bad enough to take in until I finally got around to it. No questions asked they covered the service as part of the free tune up for purchasing.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Have been a customer of Summit City Bicycles since they were a small store, a mom and son operation. Ive been satisfied with them for over 20 years. Recently bought an e-assist bike from them and am now going to ride to Washington DC to raise money for our Ft. Wayne Trails. I know that the bike is ready to go, thanks to their conscientious service crew!

I have used these folks for service several times including an overhaul of a 13 year old bike to get me ready for RAGBRAI. I trust them to offer suggestions and advice that is best for me as a customer, and not exclusively what is best for profits.Their sales prices can be a bit high sometimes but their shop prices are reasonable and their mechanics are helpful and knowledgeable.I had 2 bikes worked on by them recently. One had an issue with the brakes as soon as we got it back and they sent someone to my house to do a quick fix on it. It appeared to have been a slight oversight on their part, so there was no charge.A couple of days later a different bike they had just worked on was having problems shifting and I called them assuming the new cables they put on were acting up or something had been adjusted incorrectly. Turns out the derailleur hanger had gotten bent in my custody, and they fixed it at no charge. They also replaced a busted spoke that was not their responsibility and delivered the bike back to my house. They went well beyond what they were obligated to do and I had my bike back that afternoon.The folks there care about biking, Fort Wayne, and their customers, and it shows.

Had a Schwinn magnetic resistance exercise bike which I had purchased from SCB & F back in 2006, and after years of use, the resistance suddenly stopped working. I decided to try to see if I could find out the problem and and fix it myself; I discovered the cable that controlled the magnets that causes the resistance had broken. So I took some pictures and the cable in to see if I could get a replacement. The service tech couldnt find the exact part on the computer, but suggested another cable and a small little clamp that he thought would work for what I needed. And he was right...for less than $10 and about 30 minutes of my time I was back in business and once again able to use my exercise bike. And by the way, I have also purchased a few years ago a Cannondale road bike for myself and a Townie bike for my wife, and received excellent advice then too. Thanks Summit City Bike & Fitness.

The different brands of quality bikes, hitches bike racks and other types, and exercise equipment. The service department is also very efficient! The store also carries a wide variety of clothing and shoes, to bottles, bags, lights and accessories! We enjoy our visits into Summit City Bicycle And fitness and recommend it to all our friends!

We visit when we have questions or need a repair on our Catrikes and they have always provided good advice and first-rate service. Their staff is efficient, friendly, and well-informed. The products are solid, bike selection is robust. I do wish they had more variety in things like shoes, helmets, gear etc...I still rate the shop 5 stars because the products are quality and the staff is top notch. Scott and the other sales staff are friendly and have lots of knowledge between all of them. They all ride and have good experience too. I have learned so much about riding and servicing both bikes we have from the sales and service staff. They are always willing to answer questions for us.

Summit City bicycles is the best. First, they actually have bicycles in stock! Most stores are very limited during the pandemic but my wife and I found several hybrids to test ride and choose from. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. The path behind the store for test rides is awesome!

Wanted to purchase a bike and new to cycling so thought I would speak to some of the employees in the store for advice as I saw the great reviews. Little did I know I would be experiencing racial discrimination when I went into the store by the employees.

Summit City is an extremely nice bike shop. The employees were all very kind and attentive. My boyfriend and I worked closely with Greg, who answered all of our questions and worked with us for the better part of an hour. He even followed up with us the next day and helped us install our new rack. I highly recommend this store for your bike-related needs.

Summitt City Bicycles is the undisputed king of bikes and service in the Fort Wayne area. Have a flat? Stop by, get treated with a smile and get it fixed while you wait. Gears not shifting properly - typically fixed while you wait. Chain needs shortening - no problem. Many of the service guys have worked on my bike, but Tim W. and Dan have saved my day time and time again. Today, after discovering my gears wouldnt shift correctly, I suggested buying a new rear derailed. Before doing so, Tim took a closer look at the derailed and found the wire had kinks. He changed the wire, found a couple more issues, and then test rode it to make sure it was solid. No need to buy a part today!Id also like to give a shout out to their front desk team. In just the last few days, theyve helped me get fitted with the perfect shoe and cleats and then made sure the cleats were custom fitted based on the way my feet naturally rest. Before this, I had a lot of knee pain while riding. After the fit, no more knee pain!It would take too long to write down all the ways Summit City has helped me fix up my bike, so stop in and see for your self. If youre in the market, I highly recommend trying out one of their recumbent bikes. I have the Dumont but they have several models and each one is so fun to ride. My dad rides one too. If you have mobility issues, back/wrist/neck or other pains, try a recumbent. I can ride again thanks to these bikes. They are pricey, but think of this way - pay a little bit now and get the exercise and youll save a ton of money in medical bills later.Thank you again to Summit City for excellent service, the best bike ever, and great customer support to get all the parts you could want. Most recently, Dan the Man was able to complete an awesome Spring service and cleaning of my Epic and made some suggestioins that I didnt even see. Those repairs instantly improved the performance of my bike on the trails and on the road!Good to know that Fort Wayne has a bike specialty shop that gets to know you and your machine to keep you up and riding.
