By far my favorite coffee shop in the Boston and metro west area. Beautiful drinks and amazing bulk coffee (roasted in-house). Can’t say enough about this place!

Its amazing place for me to study and do some work. Its not crowded, coffee tastes great and service is excellent. I recommend you try their cold brew. Only downside of this place is that they dont have lots of power outlets to charge your phones or your laptop. I found only two seats within distance to plug in cords. Besides that, everything is great!!!

Really nice and hipster coffee place in the middle of Framingham, and the barristas know their craft. Tea drinkers will also be happy with the selection of loose tea offered. Take the time, stop by - the sofas are comfy - and get a cuppa.

Actually I work here so Im pretty biased. Maybe a little expensive, but hey, welcome to Newbury St. The iced coffee is cold brew, which is great. They have a La Marzocco and great espresso. Loose leaf tea. Breakfast sandwiches. Oh, and yes, a Sofa.

This place has excellent coffee, delicious bakery items, and the decor is very comfortable. Im proud to support an independent coffee shop as solid as this one. Definitely stop by if youre in Framingham.

Best coffee in the area. Plus they roast and sell their own beans. The location is fun to sit at and chat while having a small bite. They make great quiches and the staff is always friendly.

Sofa Cafe is fabulous. The interior decor is so cool, very minimalist and chic. My chai tea was delicious so I must thank Gustavo for that. 5stars!

A diamond in the rough. Came looking for a late breakfast, always on the lookout for clean, quality whole food. Egg scramble bowl was awesome! Great ingredients, excellent portion, etc. All good. Cold brew was smooth as silk. Hospitality was 1st rate also. Im not local, but Ill be back whenever out this way.

I drove out of my wave to get here.I think you need to provide more assistance for the single girl that was working. She appeared to be overworked and didn’t even have a chance to say hi. 1 staff. Cute little cafe! Wished there was a bit more of the cozy seating, but I like what they have. The crepe that I ordered came out more like a cracker than a crepe.m

This is a great place for brunch and coffee. I loved my latte and the crepe was amazing! The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. We stopped here on our road trip home to PA. I wish I was local to come here all the time. The staff was very friendly about explaining options on the menu and the tables were kept very clean.

Everything seemed very nice and I was excited by the menu, which was good enough to bring me back a few times with the singular purpose of trying a few other things that looked (and were) really good. I’m glad I gave it a try. It doesn’t seem particularly important but I’ll still mention the place didn’t seem Brazilian, just modern and nicely done.

Coffee selection and quality is incredible. And baked goods are really great too. But do not go here if you want a good breakfast sandwich. Their sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel was one of the worst I’ve ever had.

The place is very comfortable. It stand out from the places around. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy of a great coffee accompanied with one of their fabulous pastries. It is great to find places like this in Framingham. The people who work there is very kind and nice. I strongly recommend this place.

A lovely cafe in the downtown Framingham area.The number of unique drinks and food as well as the convenience for anyone in downtown is more than enough reason for a visit. It even has parking in the back for those of us who are using their car more than their legs.

Spacious, airy, and chill vibe, great coffee drinks (and the Nutella hot chocolate -- seriously yummy!) and tasty baked goods. I got a code for four hours of wireless which made doing work easy (plus plugs scattered around the place). My first time here but not the last!

Quiet, clean and polite friendly staff. The coffee is excellent. We come here once a week for a meeting for work. Theyll serve us at our table and never make us feel unwelcome, no matter how long we stay. (We always buy) Id highly recommend, even fora quick grab on the go.

Very nice and cozy place with a fire place and great coffee! I had the mocha latte and my husband had the dulche de leche latte - both were delicious. They have coffee beans from Brazil, Ecuador and Columbia. Their food selection is limited to pastries and some sandwiches (and tapioca!), but its primarily a cafe atmosphere.

A nice calm place to get work done. Great coffee, food generally is pretty decent. Been a few times and will definitely keep coming back.

Amazing coffee. If you are a coffee connoisseur you will love this place. The food on the other hand is very skippable. Microwave eggs for the sandwiches.

Do not expect to be in and out quickly. I left Starbucks because of the crowd. It took 21 minutes to get one latte, and everyone in line seemed to have been waiting a long time as well. Customer service was underwhelming and it is apparent why there was no crowd, like every single Starbucks had. There ambivalent attitude toward customers, mind-numbing slowness, and mediocre coffee crush any good the relaxing coffee shop vibe they have.

Not sure how this place is open for business. As the old saying goes: if you cant run a business, dont have one.They got a simple breakfast sandwich wrong 3 times. The crepe was cold, as if it had just been taken out of the refrigerator. A simple medium black coffee was over $4. And the drinks were also wrong. Ironically it wasnt a busy day at all, and everything took over 30 minutes.To our surprise, the manager was there next to the person taking the order the entire time and didnt do anything. Not sure if because English is their second language things got so confusing.We ended up walking 3 doors down to another bakery and for 1/3 of the price we got much better, fresh food after only waiting 5 minutes.

Apparently they only serve breakfast sandwiches whenever they feel like getting around to it. Coffee only unless they feel like cooking that morning

If you want a bagel sandwich that you could basically make at home, but you just *have* to be seen dining on Newbury Street, this is your place. Decent cold brew, and the tiny tables are bolted to the floor, so if you come in a group larger than 2 its gonna be weird. Oh, but theres a sofa in the corner.

The “nitro” coffee was sour and did not have enough nitrogen. The omelette was heavily salted at the center, and lightly salted on the outside. How is that possible? The veggies in the omelette were undercooked frozen medley. The tapioca with nutella was chewy. The quiche was microwaved. The grilled cheese was composed of two under-toasted white bread slices that were then microwaved with Brazilian cheese. No, they did not grill the Grilled Cheese. We were lured into this cafe by the 4 out of 5 stars it has received from 100+ individuals. It deserves 1 star.

Excellent food and beverages. Staff is very knowledgeable about their products, specially their coffee toasted in the store. This is a hidden jewel in downtown Framingham. This is definetly worth visiting and trying its menu and coffees.

Croissants are amazing (guava and chocolate especially). The coffee is super delicious. The price point is like a starbucks, but the food and coffee are better -- and its an independent place! Great addition to downtown Framingham! Its very cute inside for sitting and relaxing. Lots of good bakeries in downtown but the croissants here are out of this world. And it has delicious coffee options!

Used to live in Boston and very familiar with this cafe. Prices are Starbucks level, but quality is the same if not better. That espresso machine is worth thousands more than the ones at Starbucks and is a genuine Italian import. The crema to body ratio is outstanding. If you want an average coffee, just grab an iced coffee. But if you want an espresso beverage, thats why the price is different. Glad to see the Cafe is doing well, wish I could grab an iced mocha latte right now but alas I live in California. Miss you, Sofa Cafe!

Fantastic espresso drinks. This was the winner of our 2014 coffee crawl of Back Bay by a long shot. The customer service is wonderful and prompt, the decor is spunky, the soundtrack is perfect, and the drinks are winners. We had the ventura (espresso, sugar, water, ice, and lime), which is like an espresso Arnold Palmer. Its bold but not overpowering.... very different, very refreshing...a perfect summer drink. We also had the mocha Leche. It was sweet but not cloying... super smooth and perfectly crafted. The perfect jangly with great drinks... well be back.

Was super excited to go since it looked nice and cozy. Ordered a dulce de leche iced coffe, wasnt good I feel she added to many pumps of it. Also ordered a Greek yogurt with granola, blueberries and strawberries and the granola was stale and they add a lot so it kind of ruined the whole thing.Welp.....

Wanted to come here since we heard it opened and sadly within the first minute of being here we got a bad vibe. You know the obnoxious attitude vibe you get in some places right as you walk in? That vibe.Menu looks good but when I asked if they have a password for the WiFi I got an even bigger attitide with the answer Yes, but you have to purchase something first! ... Wow! No kidding? I was planning on purchasing lots of things, but now I wish there was another place I could go hang out in. Unfortunately, there is another place so I have to stay here.Which is too bad because the place has all the potential to be a favourite. But not if they dont find a way to train the staff in good welcoming customer servoce. Creating an atmosphere is all a coffee place is about.

The coffee here is quite good, the cappuccino smooth, espressos pulled from a cute purple La Marzocco machine. Its a pretty small space (now that winter is coming and you can no longer sit outside) but there are tables for working and a sofa to hang out on. Theres free wifi, prices reasonable. The pastries are standard, but if youre in Back Bay Id recommend coming to this place for coffee/work.
