First off, I purchased a coupon from Groupon, 1st mistake. 2nd...I went in to get my alignment done on a Friday when it was raining out, so they are unable to test drive the car after the fact....well, thats what the cashier told me Monday morning. Yes, I had to return on Monday morning to have the alignment service redone. 3rd...the same cashier I first encountered had the same negative demeanor as he had on Friday. Upon arrival, I see the lights on and the cashier sitting behind the desk...the door is open so I walk in. I tell the cashier my issue and inform him its definitely not a good morning because here I am at 8am for the same service as Friday..... He immediately tells me it will be a while but hell get to me. Then I ask for a refund and he says here are your keys...we dont give refunds for Groupon. And goes into detail why they couldnt check their work on Friday....due to the rain??? Im telling you....do not waste your time going to this location for auto auto service.

Not morning people, worked with the older gentleman with glasses. Was rude at first, seems like he hates his job but has to deal with it. But was nicer and helpful at the end. Just do some research on your vehicle just so you don’t get up sold on things you don’t need.

I wanted to have the blower motor on my 2009 Toyota Yaris replaced with one that I was providing, so I stopped in and asked for an estimate. (Id done a bit of research first, so I knew it wasnt terribly complicated, but I didnt feel entirely comfortable doing it myself.) I spoke to the manager, Steve Taylor, and he began to rattle off a huge list of things that would need to be pulled out to do the service I was requesting--instrument cluster, radio, basically the entire dashboard--and wouldnt even quote me a price without having his head technician look at my car, although the implication was that it would be expensive. After I left Precision Tune, I took it to Mr. Tire, where they were able to swap the parts in half an hour; they also told me that the only thing that needed to be removed was the glove box.I dont know if Mr. Taylor didnt want to do the service for some reason, or if he wanted to screw me out of my money, or he was simply incompetent; whatever the reason, there is absolutely no way I would trust my car with Precision Tune.
Best prices in Frederick that Ive found so far. They did not add on unnecessary repairs which is often the fear when trying a new mechanic. Work was done quickly and accurately. Very pleased!
I went in for an oil change and that went fine. The guy told me there was a fuel smell that I should get diagnosed, which I acknowledged. I was aware of a mild fuel smell when I would have my car running for a while, not moving, with the fan on. When I left it smelled like someone had dumped gasoline in my car. I thought maybe they had pumped the gas looking for a leak and it would burn off. It was so bad I got a headache and my daughter vomited in the car. When I got home the smell was just as bad. I called the shop to ask what they did and why it smells so bad and he told me thats how it smelled when I got there. Lies! I drive over an hour each way to work and have never smelled anything like it. He tried to offer to make an appointment for them to do a diagnostic, ha. I think Ill pass. Now have to have someone else figure out what they did to it. Not to mention my fuse cover was left on the floor of my car and was bent so it doesnt fit back on correctly.
Went to get an oil change it was Quick and professional. The guy at the front desk helped me with things i didnt even know needed attention. Thanks guys!
BEWARE! My wife used to use this business for her car repair needs, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They just earned their third strike. Issues Ive had with this ship include cross threading a lug nut on a simple tire rotation, stripping bolts during an oil change, and now not putting enough oil in a car. This is all after having to wait weeks to even get an appointment usually. Ill go back to the reputable Acura dealership that guarantees their work and takes same day appointments. A couple bucks more, but money well spent.
The entire staff is knowledgeable and honest and extremely nice. They will get the job done right no matter how long it takes. This is one great team.
First time to your store. Very pleasant with the oil change service for my 2012 Audi Q5. Ahmed advised for additional services like talking with a friend. He didn’t compell or intimidate me like what other store managers could in order to squeeze more money out of me. Ahmed, you had won me as a loyal customer as long as you continue to be honest and treat me as a good friend. Will come back for the next oil change and brake fluid flush. Will continue to share. Hope this can be the auto shop I can trust for my whole life.
Ahmed Gonzalez is one of the best attentive auto shop managers I had pleasure of working with.In this age where other shops only care about there numbers. Mr Gonzalez help me when I almost got stranded with a screw in my tire and 3 children ..With many previous appointments. I was able to still be helped promptly. Besides getting fast service, the technicians are very educated in their profession and use their knowledge to better educate the customers. The employees here give honest feedback and are willing to answer any questions. I am looking forward to coming here regularly for my car maintenance.Edit 2/5/2019:The employees at Precision are top notch. Ahmed at the front desk takes your needs seriously and cares about the work that gets done on your vehicle by his master mechanics. I last went in for an alignment and was told it’ll be done in 2 hours but they had my car ready after just 1 hour. After working on my car, he even recommended some maintenance for my next alignment AND provided me with a quote for those services. I trust these men with my vehicle and take their word when it comes to maintenance and making my car last.
DO NOT USE THEM. I used to go there 2-3 years ago. They were fine. I stopped going there when it went under new management who dont know how to take care of their appointments.I went after 2years and this time they went from bad to worst. They were charging me $60 just for finding out whats wrong with my car. Normally I I get the work done from them they used to use the money for the labor, which every mechanic and auto care shop does. But they are there to charge you unfair cost. They refused to carry forward the $60 check fee even if I get the work done by them. Thats it from me I will never go back there.There are other auto care who are better and much cheaper then them.
I had an appointment but I went elsewhere in the end as the gentleman behind the counter was kind of rude.I had the wrong weight oil (my manufacturer suggested a slightly different one).The guy made me feel like a bonehead. Sorry, bud: my first time getting this car’s oil changed. Thanks for helping me figure out the right oil but no need to be rude.And he refused to let me take 5 minutes to drive 100 yards down the road to Autozone to swap it for the right one.I just decided I’d go somewhere.

I debated whether to put 1 or 2 stars, I chose 2 because at the end of this experience I think the gentlemen was helpful to some extent.My daughter’s car needed an oil change, she asked me for the best place to take it. I told her the dealer (because of issues like this that I’ll elaborate more on). My daughter is a recent graduate 🎓 and very frugal, so she researches for best prices and promotions (which, I feel you get what you pay for) but nonetheless she was able to find a groupon for service at this Precision Tune. Now, I did my research on the type of oil for the car and acceptable oils that may be used. So, as we are talking to the man at the counter, he takes my daughter’s information. He then says well we have a problem, there’s no way we can take you now- maybe 5pm or tomorrow at 11 am. We decided on 11 am, however while getting setup for the appointment the man VERY CONDESCENDING says to us (because of the groupon) your car needs a different grade of oil. After letting him know all of the measures I took to assure that we had the correct oil he began again trying to belittle me and my level of knowledge of the situation. At one point, as I’m stating facts, he abruptly states “I’m not going to argue with you over oil”. I was perplexed by that statement, who was arguing? He was adamant to NOT honor the Groupon and did so very unprofessionally. At that point I turned and walked away, I felt my attitude change so we left.We ended up paying double what the Groupon was the next day, but the same guy help with information on work the car needed (hence the 2 star 😒)

Watch out for the Manager, he is very slick at taking your money. When you take you car for a minor job, they will find something big to milk This guy does not give in easily, he is very persistent.A guy came for tune up of Mazda 2003, the found a catalytic converter (costing $1,800 ) problem and made an estimate of $2500. For a car that is worth may be $1,500 at the most.I went in for a wheel alignment and they made one excuse after another to charge me 3 to 4 hours on top of wheel alignment. I took the car to another shop and the found all it needed was an alignment for $74.00 So be ware.
Compared to my last experience with this company the new manager is very kind and knowledgeable and seems to cares about the customers vehicles and helping us to maintain the routine maintenance of them. This is back on track and I am back to giving them my business and anyone else that I know I will be more than happy to refer them to Precision Tune. Keep up the good work. Thanks 😉👍👍
Not good have a Groupon and it is deceiving. They wanted more money not happy. Im going to ask for a refund.

I go the shop on Buckeystown road in Frederick, Md. I will always be a loyal customer in this shop. The manager, Ahmed Gonzalez is a straight shooter and has earned my confidence. I take two different cars to him and I know one has problems which he always points out explaining which problems need to be fixed first. I actually pass up other shops which are much closer to me to go to this place. The mechanics at this shop will escort you back to show you major problems instead of just telling you there is a problem before they knock you over the head with some repair fees. They are fair and responsible and Ahmed will explain how getting there Percision Tune Card can save you interest fees for higher priced repairs if you pay off in 6 months (interest free). This 6 month interest free is also resetting each time you pay it off. I’m extremely pleased with the customer service at this shop. Just make sure you call to make an appointment before traveling there, because he is always busy and works by appointment only.
These guys are amazing. They go up great lengths to not only care for your vehicle, butwork with your budget as well. I cannot thank these guys enough for the work that they do.
I am honestly not sure what to think.The guy at the front seemed nice. But i think good of most people.I do all my own services. Oil, tranny, w/e it is. This time though, my wife said, Hey, take a break. Go shop while someone does your oil for you. So i did for once. Got it back, seemed fine. 10 miles or around that later of driving. My alternator smoked out. Yes, full blow out.This is why i am not sure. This alternator had no issue before. My vehicle has no shorts or wiring issue. This seems to be purposefully done. And he also gave me a list of issues that i checked on my self when i got home. And none of them existed.I also noticed a small leak in the oil pan ( that was not there last i checked ). So i checked, and what do you know... The bolts normal tightness had its seal broken.( by this i mean the rust/grime/ etc that gathers and makes a bolt hard to start with the unscrewing process ). Tightened up the bolt and cleaned it up, ran it for a bit to check. No leak anymore. So i am sitting here thinking they did this to draw up more business....? But they did not mention this small leak in the list of Issues which makes it more fun. They would have seen that easily while under there.So, make up your own mind. I have friends ( discovered this after ) that have been here as well and have been scammed hard them selves.
I am a return customer to this business. The new manager provided exceptional service. I had a problem with service that was done when there was another manager, and Nate apologized for the poor service I received and didnt charge me for my oil change. Service above and beyond. I will definitely go back.
The staff was very friendly they made us feel very comfortable they fixed what was needed they told me I needed a water pump got the water pump everything was good to go but then when I went to get my car 2 Days Later its running differently than what it was before there was no jerk or pull and now theres a jerk and pull so I really feel like they messed with my car I havent called yet but I will to get you an update
This is by far my favorite auto care place in Frederick.The staff is excellent, always polite and professional with a sense of humor. The prices are fair and Ive never been disatisfied with the work done. If I were staying in Frederick this would have been my shop for life.

Id like to especially recommend the work and the extra personal effort of both the shop manager and the technician who worked on my car based on my experience at Precision Auto Care on Buckeystown Pike in Frederick.Ive always been pleased with their readiness to change oil and advise approaches to smaller jobs. But Installing a new timing belt on my 2004 Toyota Sienna is not a small job.... involving a substantial commitment of time, technician experience and coordination of a customers dislocation. The personal effort they made in going out of their way to deliver this job with the least inconvenience to me was something very special. they deserve real credit for their care for their customer... and for keeping a car with 250,000 miles on it running like a top.
Went in to take advantage of thier 29.99 front end allignment special, and after work was done, was billed 59.99 for a 4 wheel alignment. My vehicle is only capable of having the toe adjusted in the front axle, camber cant be set, caster cant be set, and since the rear is a solid axle it cant move at all. So why was I charged double?
Despite their lack of living up to a lifetime brake warranty, I decided to try Precision Tune again since itd been several years. What a mistake. When I called, I was asked information regarding what kind of car and was told that, yes they could fit me in and put on brakes (and rotors if they felt it needed it). They asked when Id be there and I said in 20 minutes. Upon getting there in 15 minutes and repeating information I was told thered be an hour or so wait because two oil changes were ahead of me. Then he proceeded to tell me that Id need to come back tomorrow to get the actual work done. That theyd just CHECK my brakes in an hour or so. He said he must not have realized the time when I was on the phone.He didnt offer me a discount for his error, despite their being coupons I can see now on their site. Instead, as I was leaving, he said I wouldnt find another shop open in a tone that implied I was silly for trying.The guy had pain tattooed on his hand. All I know is he sure was one.

I would leave a zero if I could. I purchased a Groupon for my oil change and thought it was one of the drive through type oil changes based on the picture, however it was not this actual location. When i arrived the person at the desk was waiting on another customer and he did acknowledge me and said he would be with me in a moment. So I waited while they had a conversation about what type of IPhone she had as he looked at it and how he was an Android guy...yada yada yada. He finally finished and I explained I needed an oil change, he said appointments are required, I said the Groupon said recommended and I thought it was a drive up type center based on the picture....he said thats not MY Groupon. So I made an appointment and he asked what kind of car I had and he said I bought the wrong Groupon and I didnt read the fine print (and he said it very condescending talking down to me) and I needed the synthetic oil Groupon which was $49 instead of the $25 one. I asked if I could pay the difference and he said the upgrade would be either $90 or $55 above and beyond the $25 I already paid. I told him I felt like this was a bait and switch type deal and I would rather lose the $25 than give his store a dime of my money. The place was dirty and the water cooler was disgusting.

I made an appointment for a car inspection. When I came here, they said I did not make an appointment, and I checked inside the system and said no. I said I walk in for an appointment yesterday, and then he said I had not seen me, and then make things difficult for me to tell me who ordered me yesterday. I roughly described a moment, but he said I described wrong, and then give me an appointment, after I was a bit angry! I say I need 40 minutes to drive here, but I did not find a reservation. Then he might look at me a little angry and look for it in the computer, finding me and then serving me. His attitude was very bad at the time of the most angry, not friendly at all. Will not recommend friends to come here.
Just wanted to buy a bulb and the counter guy did a bunch of tests now my car is in the bay and I am getting a bill for having it done. I just wanted to buy a bulb, now I know I have a problem chevy needs to help me out with.

Going here for many years for car repairs and maintenance services like oil changes and fluid flushes. They work on my Hyundai, Toyota and BMW vehicles, they know basically what the dealer knows, but at much better prices than the dealer. The thing I like the most is they dont require appointments, in fact, most of the time they get your car into the shop while you wait. Tip: If you dont want to wait too long for the car to be serviced, call ahead just to make sure they are not too backed up, they are a busy shop. I have found that it takes somewhere between 30-60 minutes for an oil change, a couple of hours for a brake job, youll have to leave your car there for bigger more complicated repairs. I dont mind leaving the car there for a couple of hours while I go across the street to Wal-Mart to pick up things and then to Ruby Tuesdays for some food. If you have to wait in the customer waiting area, its clean and they have a good TV and gourmet coffee.
