Used to love this store. We spent a lot of money here. Today, me and my five children were kicked out in the rain because of a non scientific mask policy that the state does not even require anymore. You have lost my business, which was quite a lot, for life. They responded with the same nonsensical answer and even seemed to suggest that we do not take others safety into consideration. Further, they imply that as of July 1 the danger they say is in effect now will no longer exist, as if by magic. What ever happened to caring about customers and treating them like family? If you have been here, you know parking is awful and walking a mile in the rain to the car is not cool with five kids. In the board game community, treating people like family is of high importance. For a board game store to disregard it is shameful and then try to virtue signal is even more pitiful. Dont do business here.

This is place is really cool if you love comics! They also have some cool looking board games and D&D stuff. Not to mention they have some magic cards and pokemon cards up front as well. Not a big selection of cards though, but thats fair considering its a comic book/game shop. They have a crazy selection of comics. Would definitely recommend.

Great selection of comics, graphic novels, as well as board games of all sorts. Friendly staff are willing to help you find and discover what you are searching for. Parking outside on the street or around the corner in the parking garage.This is their new location... about a five minute walk from the original spot. The big store is in Walkersville but this store still has plenty to see.

This place has a great board game selection. Im not really into comics, so I cant speak on that, but they have pretty much any moderately popular board game you could want, really only rivaled by Barnes & Noble and Target in the area, but they are local so I like to give my business to them if possible.

Sold me the same book for different prices and didn’t refund me or let me exchange the books. This comic book store is a total rip off and wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this swindle of a comic store. The images show different covers of the comic book, with different prices but with the same exact graphic novel.

Great Location, Tons of Inventory for Comic Collectors, Table Top Players, and Terrain and Piece Painting Supplies. Wonderful Staff. I only wish I lived closer. :-)

Wonderful and varied selection of tabletop games and comics. I was impressed by the knowledge of the staff and their ability to strike up comfortable conversation. Will be back!

Best selection of pokemon cards around other then like maybe target but you have to get there mad early to get anything. They always have the elite trainer boxes and it makes me happy

Excellent store with an accommodating staff. I have a pull list here, which grants a 10% discount. The staff always makes great recommendations based on my taste and they have been very helpful with my requests in the past. Truly some True Believers!

Been coming here for about year and I have to say, they have great customer service and they are great help over all! 9 out of 10 times they have what I need and when I ask to order something they are quick and helpful. What I really appreciate is when I call for a comic and ask them to hold it for me, i have no problems at all. The people there actually know comics too and i can have conversations with them which is great. I will continue coming here for my monthly comics. I just wish they had membership or something haha

I fell in love with this place the first time I went to it. This place has an amazing selection of new issues as well as back issues. And its not just comics, they carry gameboards, graphic novels, and lots and of collectibles. It is definitely impressive. And the owner is super awesome and super friendly. Definitely will lead you in the right direction. Just ask him what you may be looking for. For comics and collectibles, this is an absolute great stop.

Its a comic book/board games store. Boy does it suck. Its dark, the carpet is disgusting. Worse part, no restroom. You can play D&D, but you cant use the head, you got to walk down to block to the public library. Get wrecked. I will say the guy who worked there was nice, I hope good things happen to him. Maybe just have a bit more pride I. Your establishment. Go to Third Eye Comics in Annapolis. That place is top tier.

Great shop. People who work there are friendly and helpful. Very approachable. The comic books are organized pretty well, have a decent back issue section. Plenty of new stuff. Kids comics near front door. Card games and board games aplenty.

This is clearly a labor of love by the owner! Great collection of Silver Age comics to contemporary. Also a truly satisfying selection of board games, sure to please an army of gamers. Exceptional interaction and service with customers; always a pleasure to walk into this establishment.

I have only been reading comics for about 7 years. After listening to descriptions of some of the comics I like, they made some really good recommendations of what I might want to explore next. One of the owners even gave me a copy of one of the recommendations for free. How awesome is that! They have also looked at the comics I ask to place on hold each month and add to it based on what they think I might like. Cant say enough about how well I have been treated here.

The owners of the shop and everyone that works there are so kind and knowledgeable. They are very helpful. They have all the new comics but also a ton of back issues you can go through. It is also pretty well organized. Lots of games and collectables also. Subscribers get a discount, so it is totally worth subscribing to a series you are going to buy anyway. I love this shop, it is one of my favorite places in Frederick.

The selection of games is one of the best in the area. They also have a great selection of comics. The stuff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. Brainstorm is always my first go-to.

Very friendly staff that tries to create a fun atmosphere. Dropped a star due to their lack of detail. For instance, I bought some short boxes and they came with magazine lids by mistake.

This comic shop is in what appears to be a converted brownstone. It makes for a very home like feel. Friendly and helpful staff more than makes up for the sometimes tight quarters.

I had a medium sized comuc collection to sell. I took my books from Cumberland to their store and left them over nigjt for the owner to look them over. He was honest and upfront about prices and what he thpught the collection was worth the next day amd even though I ended up selling them elsewhere I was veey impressee with integrity, honesty and professionalism they displayed. They have a hige selection of books, many are graded and there back issues selection is likewise impressive. I will make the journey again absolutely. The polite staff and the trustworthy nature of the store is very welcomking.

They also have a bigger selection of back issues than most shops along with a good selection of graphic novels and current comics. Good selection of gaming too. Super friendly ship, highly recommended.2021 UPDATE: Now that the Frederick location has moved and theyve opened a location in Walkersville the Frederick location only has 3 months of back issues on hand. The Walkersville location has the bulk of the back issues and its a great selection that includes stabbed books.The Frederick store still has a solid gaming section but if youre looking for individual cards go to the Walkersville location.Both locations have a good selection of graphic novels and Pops.Subscribers can also update their own lists online instead of asking someone at the store to add or remove a title for them.

New owners are great and keeping the Brainstorm friendly/personable feeling alive. Been going here since I was a little kid when it was on T.J. Drive.
