Nick Chance installed my dishwasher today and he is a special one. Outstanding communication and he provided helpful tips on how to maintain the dishwasher. This is the type of service I don’t mind paying for. If I was the owner I would definitely promote and retain this gentlemen in my company. I’m a retired Marine and I know good people when I see them…

We were looking for a specific GE washer/dryer set and found it at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Best Buy, and Costco. None of these places could offer definitive delivery dates, so I started calling around, and reached Mike at East Coast Appliance. He was just filling in, from Virginia Beach, because the Fredericksburg store was short-staffed. He was knowledgeable, informative, and helpful. They had the GE set in stock and ready to go - AND their price beat all the big box stores! Two days later, we had our new washer and dryer and we’ve never been happier!

During the pandemic they were there only store that had a good supply of refrigerators that didn’t require a three month wait. That makes them a winner in my book. Prices were good as well.

Odd the difference in google rating and in Yelp ratings for this store.We purchased a $2,500 stacked LG washer/dryer, scheduled delivery for Saturday, 3 days later. On delivery date, we called and they told us opps! delivery is Monday. On Monday, they told us we were 8 miles outside of their delivery area, so no delivery - ever. They refunded our money, but no way to get back a whole week of lost time.

Big thanks to Doug for his help and time selecting and matching appliances and answering ALL of my questions! Definitely an expert in the field! Looking forward to delivery and installation!

We ordered a new dishwasher to be installed. Nick arrived circa 1530 and proceeded to do his thing. Nick was affable, polite and extremely capable. He conversed with me the entire time, keeping me apprised of what he was doing from a rewiring standpoint, why he was going thru this particular installation process and what he envisioned as the ultimate outcome. Job completed, he snapped a couple of picture, policed up after himself, took the old unit and went on his way. Approximately, 30 mins later, Nick called back. Hed been looking at the pictures he took and wasnt entirely satisfied with the wiring. Asked if he could return and work to improve it. There was no hazard issue, it was just Nick being conscientious. He arrived, spent another 30 minutes or so, making the job to HIS satisfaction.The price on the unit was good and it should be obvious to anyone reading, the service and installation were exceptional. Well done guys. Extra Kudos to Nick for not just his abilities, but work ethic as well.

Had an excellent quality experience today. Mr Robert Rollins is an exceptional salesman. His expertise was exceptional. Enjoyed his professionalism. Also Sean was exceptional with his experience with this product. Will come back to see either salesman.

My salesperson, Robert Rollins, was very professional and I like my appliances, but once you pay, you have no leverage. So when I realized the water to the washer was not on and I couldnt turn it on, Jose wanted me to wait another day. Unacceptable to me. During the conversation, he assured me the water was on and he knew it because there were photos to prove it. Furthermore, if the machine wouldnt wash, it was a manufacturers problem, he said, but the manufacturer wouldnt answer my call. I scheduled another company to come out at noon to turn on my water. I cancelled the next day visit from East Coast, but they showed up the next day anyway. I wont recommend East Coast Appliance in Fredericksburg VA for these reasons.

Nick helped us get a dishwasher. Lots of options. Less than 20 in and out. Thanks for having a great selection when competitors had nothing!

Im generally skeptical of value and quality at deep discount stores, but Im thoroughly impressed by East Coast Appliance. Salesperson Doug Hoffman was helpful and knowledgeable, but not pressuring, and the selection is pretty great--and they have brands that other superstores cant see to stock in these Covid-19 times. Helps to do your homework before you shop--I got a great bargain on a GE Profile fridge (with a couple almost unnoticeable dings) that in other stores was way beyond my price range. The install was within days and trouble-free. Id go back--

Great prices and they carry Speed Queen washers. They deliver if you want it, or you can take it with you. Good warranties, damaged pieces make lower prices if you dont mind a dent or so. Opportunity to save or get undamaged. I have 3 appliances from them.

Disappointed in the pricing & the atmosphere. It felt more like mattress or used car sales than an appliance store. For those of you reading this that have worked in car sales... They even have a tower with a sales manager..... We ended up buying a washer and dryer from another store. We were told this place had new and used. I saw neither. Only open box dented. This place workd be great for people with rentals. Or no credit buyers. We just didnt fit the clientele they set out to attract. Nice people though. Update: Apparently the owner doesnt like my review. I assure you this review is for East Coast Appliance. I also went to point out I gave three out of five stars which is better than just mediocre. I understand this business isnt for me. However, people only usually get threatened about a review when it tends to be true.

Buyer, BEWARE. We purchased a refrigator from this store in July, 2020. The refrigator NEVER work properly. The food side would freeze perishables and the freezer side would have snow on the contents. Repair service came out and inform us that the therostat did not work properly and that this was problematic. After numerous attempts to resolve, we just purchase and replaced the refrigerator from a reputable chain store Once again, Buyer BEWARE.

I went into store and purchased a washer and a 7 ft freezer and paid cash. Apparently because of trees in my driveway they were unable to deliver my appliances. I thought maybe they would have another smaller truck to come back out and deliver. Mind you I did pay for delivery. Without any other options I did request a refund and was told it would take a week or more to have my check mailed out. Im out a washer now and have to wait for check to purchase another.

I had an installer from East Coast come by the house to replace a countertop range and microwave. He was solid. Weeks after the survey was done and paid for, I was still waiting on their salesman to get back to me. When he finally did after much prompting, he quoted me straight retail prices. I asked if they could come down a bit to get closer to the price of other companies and I was instructed to purchase from another company as it was less expensive and would arrive faster. I was left with the impression that they would still handle the complex installation as I had paid for the survey. After I made the purchase, he informed me that they wouldnt do the installation. So a total waste of weeks and a few dollars. Id strongly recommend choosing a different company.

Their prices are competitive to all the other local stores and I didn’t even have to price compare.Update after delivery: We have an issue with our new dryer (within 24hrs) . The side of the dryer was dented and knocking the side of the washer. It looks like someone tried to bang out the dent. The drum is knocking the dryer walls now which makes nonstop loud noises. The clothes are also not drying even after two cycles on high. I purchased the floor model, I was told it was new. An electric dryer was ordered instead of gas was the reason it was on the floor. We overheard the employee say knock the dent out to the technician. After paying 1000.00 for a dryer it should be perfect. I don’t want it fixed, it should be replaced. I was given a 100.00 discount for the floor model. I was told I would have to pay an additional 100.00 for a new one. Which is fine, hopefully this situation can be resolved...Dryer was replaced a few days later. I’m changing my stars based on the helpful technician and delivery team.

We needed to buy a new washer. After a first visit yesterday, my husband was turned off by the pushy manager. He ended up going back today as other stores didn’t have what we needed. He had a great experience thanks for employee Jose, and also purchased a dryer too. Jose really turned around the initial bad experience, and that’s why we’re giving it a 5 stars. Jose was professional, informative and nice. But never pushy.

East Coast Appliance is great! I went in the store with 3 specific items I needed for a rental property I own. No one tried to sell me anything but what I needed. I ended up with a scratch and dent(1 tiny scratch) refrigerator and a brand new stove/dishwasher. Delivery was scheduled in a timely manner. The two delivery guys were awesome. Very professional and they called me with updates on the delivery time. I will definitely use them again!

UPDATE 12/28/2020 - Robert called back and they will swap us now for the white. 1 star off for unnecessary drama caused by time delay for the manager to approve making it right, our time to return to the store, and we are still overcharged by $20 for the more expensive color we never wanted. 4 stars deserved for the honest business approach and doing right by the customer.-------------------------------------------------------Buyer Beware of the return policy. Once you accept the box there are NO RETURNS unless you pay them a 15% fee AND they agree to accept.I had a great purchase experience with Robert Rollins, but when we opened the box and found we had grey (definitely ordered white) we called the store and got the too bad you own it now story from whoever answered the phone.

I swear this is the worst place for excellent customer service. Against my better judgement I called this place about a stove and the gal put me on hold to look up her items. Comes back and gives me a price. I told her Sears and Bestbuy has it cheaper would they price match. She flat of told me it’s “not a brick and mortar. Go buy it there.” Needless to say I hung up. No one should EVER have to settle with poor customer service at all! Period!!!! Especially if it’s US customers who pay your company to employee you. Silly girl!!!Update- So ECA claims the “IF then BUT” clause for those who don’t read fine print, understand the law of false advertisement OR English! 🤪

Bought a new dishwasher 2 weeks ago from the Fredericksburg East Coast Appliance. We actually walked out of the store feeling good about our purchase. They delivered the unit and installed it last week and it works well. But we subsequently found the salesman we liked in person (Doug) lied to our face about at least two items:1) He told us they don’t use contractors for their installation work “like a lot of other places do -- we use OUR guys.” When the gentlemen delivered & installed it I noticed the company name wasn’t on their truck, and they told us … they’re contractors. (By the way, it was 2pm on delivery day and they still hadn’t called us to give us our 3-hour delivery window”! Had to call them twice [2pm & 3pm] before finding out they were suddenly “on their way.”)2) He convinced us to get a 5-year warranty for $99 on top of the manufacturer’s 1-year warranty because he said, “If you don’t use it, you get half your money back!” Sounded great.The paperwork on the warranty was supposed to show up with the appliance but it didn’t, so we had to drive back to the store to get it. When we finally got it we saw that “getting half your money back” means you get a store credit for that amount and it expires in 60 days if you don’t use it (that’s hardly getting half your money back)!!

I am 27 minutes into holding and this is the most annoying hold message/repetition ever.

The prices are almost as high as regular stores. Even the scratches and dented devices are priced too high!

The necessary repair on my existing oven was cost-inhibitive so reluctantly I found myself shopping for a new range during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am thrilled to have found East Coast Appliance in Fredericksburg, VA. I was thoroughly impressed with their social distancing and sanitation practices. Salesperson John was knowledgeable and polite. Nice selection to choose from and competitive prices. Entire process from browsing to loading it on my vehicle took less than an hour. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
